43. (male #3) 'Yeah, picking on a little teensy-weensy mousy.'

44. He'll feel guilty for this for the rest of his days.

45. First time out in the cold, right?

46. And instead of being pals, you're fighting

47. like a cat and a mouse.

48. (male #3) 'They are a cat and a mouse, Puggsy.'

49. Uh, true, Frankie, but they gotta learn to be pals

50. or they ain't gonna make it out here. True, too?

51. All too true, too.

52. Frankie da flea's the name, I'm of French extraction.

53. That just means before he met me he lived on a poodle.

54. I've been on the streets two years now.

55. My owners left me behind when they moved.

56. The name is Puggsy. What's yours?

57. - I'm Tom. - I'm Jerry.

58. - You talked! - You talked!

59. Oh, sure, I talk. What do you think I am, a dummy?

60. - You said it. I didn't. - Aw, you little pipsqueak.

61. I ought to..

62. Hey, how come you never spoke before?

63. There's was nothing I wanted to say

64. that I thought you'd understand.

65. And there still isn't.

66. Alright, that does it, you little..

67. Oh, boy, you get me angry!

68. Uh-uh-uh! I told you before.

69. You guys have gotta learn to be friends.

70. Absotivilutely.

71. Puggsy and me's been through thick and thin.

72. And thin and thinner.

73. You gotta fight to survive.

74. It's a dog-eat-dog world.

75. Uh, that is not my favorite expression, Frankie.

76. Ooh, sorry. Puggsy's right, fellas. Listen.

77. Take it, Frankie!

78. Come on! One more time!

79. Take it, Puggs!

80. Uh-huh.

81. Hey, come on, guys. You two try it.

82. - 'You can do it. Be friends.' - No. No.

83. Alright, I'll give it a shot. Here we go.

84. - Again! Again! - Take it home!

85. Hey, you guys are the greatest!

86. I love it!

87. You are terrific!

88. Well, what do you say, fellas?

89. A cat and a mouse?

90. Friends?

91. That's disgusting. No way.

92. That goes double for me.

93. Well, can't say we didn't warn you.

94. - True, Frankie? - True, too.

95. Hey, maybe what you need is a bite to eat.

96. Follow me. Tonight we dine alfresco.

97. - Oh, boy! We eat! - Not you, mouse.

98. (Jerry) 'Hey! Hey! Let me out of here, you stupid 'fraidy cat!'

99. 'Come on, let me out of here'

100. 'I'm gonna turn you into dog chow'

101. 'when I get out of here! Come on, it's too dark in here.'

102. 'Come back, you tom, you chicken!'

103. Hey, look! Chunk tuna!

104. Come on, Puggsy. Speed it up. I'm starving.

105. - Psst! Hey, Puggsy. - Yo! Pull up a tray, Tom.

106. It's chowtime.

107. Yeah, a trash can smorgasbord.

108. Delicious!

109. (Jerry) 'Come on, you 'fraidy cat! You let me out of here right now!'

110. 'What's the matter with you? Hiding me in a flower pot!'

111. 'I'm gonna nail you to the wall when I get out of here, Tom!'

112. 'Come on. Fight fair!'

113. Oh, Frankie, boy. We just hit the jackpot.

114. Aah!

115. (Jerry) 'Hey, hey! Ooh! Ow! Now you're gonna get it!'

116. (Tom) 'Hey, Puggsy.'

117. 'Frankie? Puggsy?'

118. Ha ha ha! The stray catchers strike again.

119. Yeah. One more for the doc.

120. Where did he go? Ah, well, more for me.

121. Mmm! Chunky tuna!

122. clang

123. (male #4) 'This is our turf, tootsie.'

124. In this mean old alley

125. cats ain't pretty, pussy, pally cats

126. and this is our domain.

127. I hope I made that plain.

128. 'You're dead if you're not out of here.'

129. I wanna make that very clear.

130. This is how we are, and this is how we stay.

131. Okay?

132. Okay.

133. (all) Okay.

134. Yeow!

135. So there!

136. - Hey, catch him! - Hey, get off!

137. - Don't— - Beat it!

138. - You okay, pal? - Yeah.

139. I'm okay... but don't call me pal.

140. Come on, mouse.

141. Whoa! Hold it! Hold it!

142. - Who-who are you? - Nobody.

143. Just us. He's Tom, and I'm Jerry.

144. Oh, I thought you were somebody else.

145. I thought you were following me.

146. Heck, no.

147. Well, then what are you doing out here?

148. We're lost and we're looking for something to eat.

149. Yeah. We're kind of hungry.

150. Oh. Well, I've got cookies and an apple and..

151. So your name's Robyn and you ran away from home.

152. - How did you know? - Your name's on your locket.

153. Oh, yes, it's Robyn Starling.

154. I'm afraid I don't have a home anymore.

155. I-I'm an orphan.

156. My mother died when I was a baby.

157. What about your father? What happened to him?

158. My father was on an expedition, climbing a mountain,

159. when the snow gave way in an a-ava..

160. - Avalanche? - Uh-huh.

161. And he was the most wonderful father in the world.

162. We had our own secret place, just for the two of us.

163. - 'And..' - That's where you were going?

164. Uh-huh. And to get away from my Aunt Figg.

165. She's not really my aunt, just my guardian.

166. But she's taken over the house, she moved me to the attic

167. and gave my room to her dog Ferdinand.

168. Ferdinand?

169. Aunt Figg was always calling me orphan.

170. She even stole my locket and threw it out the window.

171. But I climbed out and found it, and, and..

172. - Kept on running. - As fast as I could.

173. And I'm never going back.

174. Oh, smart. Real smart, kid.

175. You got a roof over your head, three sure meals a day

176. a warm bed. Who'd wanna leave that?

177. I hate to admit it, Robyn, but Tom's right.

178. You never know what you're missing until you don't have it.

179. You don't know Aunt Figg.

180. She seems sweet

181. but underneath she's mean

182. real mean.

183. Aw, come on.

184. I'll bet she's frantic looking for you.

185. Oh, sure, she's crying her eyes out

186. for you right this minute.

187. Oh, my poor little Robyn! Oh, find her, officer.

188. Please! The poor child!

189. There, there, Ms. Figg, we'll find the little girl.

190. I promise you. I'll call for a status report right now.

191. Oh, please, please!

192. I-I-I don't know how I'll live without her.

193. (Lickboot) 'You won't be able to live without her, Pristine.'

194. Shut up, Lickboot, you boo-too.

195. But it's true, Pristine, without Robyn

196. daddy Starling's trust fund money will go bye-bye-bye.

197. And you'll be out in the cold, cold, cold.

198. And you with me, Lickboot.

199. Now, stop talking. You're a lawyer. Scheme!

200. Ha ha ha!

201. You find this amusing, Ferdi, you fat freeloader?

202. You're the one who let her get away.

203. Oh, but I was just eating.

204. I know you were eating. You're always eating.

205. - You want this cupcake? - Yeah, yeah, yeah.

206. Ah! Whew!

207. Fetch!

208. chomp

209. Just pray the police find her, Pristine, or we're doomed

210. to return to the ranks of the peasantry.

211. And you'd better hope this rumor that dashing daddy Starling

212. may have survived the avalanche is just a rumor

213. or we'll be worse than ordinary. We'll be—

214. - Don't say it! - Poor.

215. - Penniless. - Bankrupt.

216. No more money?

217. We've got to have money.

218. I can't go back! I won't!

219. Gotcha, you little... darling.

220. See? Here she is, safe and sound.

221. We found her down by the old bridge.

222. - Tom, Jerry! - Who?

223. They're my new friends! Let me keep them, please?

224. They won't be any bother. Please?

225. meow

226. - Oh, brother! - Please?

227. Under the circumstances, it might be a good idea, ma'am

228. if you know what I mean.

229. That's just what I was thinking, officer.

230. Of course you can keep them, darling.

231. - I can? - See?

232. She's not as bad as you thought.

233. You'll stay, won't you?

234. You'll have a real home again.

235. Will I? You bet!

236. Ah, him, too?

237. - Of course, him, too. - Thanks, Robyn.

238. Officer?

239. You wouldn't be able to join us

240. for a little celebration snack, would you?

241. - Well, sure, I— - I didn't think so.

242. Too bad duty calls and all that.

243. I understand. Mucho thanks and au revoir!

244. Ferdi?

245. Show our new guests to the kitchen

246. and give them something special to eat.

247. Special. Yeah!

248. slurp

249. As for you, orphan, for running away,

250. you're going to bed without dinner.

251. And your bed is back in the attic, where orphans belong.

252. Now, that's what I call eats.

253. Huh?

254. grrr

255. clank

256. grrr

257. grrr

258. (Aunt Figg) 'Oh, what's all the commotion in here?'

259. - Hmm? - Well..

260. Your pets are certainly housebroken.

261. 'They've been here five minutes and already'

262. they've broken the house.

263. We really don't have enough room for them, do we?

264. I-I'm sure they won't do it again, Aunt Figg.

265. - I promise. - No, they won't.

266. I promise.

267. There's a sweet man down the street. Dr. Applecheek.

268. He absolutely adores animals.

269. He has a houseful, all kinds, and he loves them..

270. to death.

271. I'm sure I can talk him into taking them in.

272. They'll have all the food they can eat

273. companionship, shelter..

274. And you can go and visit them every day.

275. Well... I don't know.

276. I'll have to talk it over with them first.

277. Oh? Oh! Oh! You-you do that.

278. Well, your daddy's lawyer..

279. Oh, your late daddy's lawyer Mr. Lickboot

280. is waiting for me.

281. - Well? - She says it's a house.

282. And I'm a house-cat kind of guy.

283. Jerry? Where's Jerry?

284. - Maybe Ferdi ate him. - Tom!

285. Hey, don't look at me.

286. What am I, my mouse's keeper?

287. Okay, okay. I'll go look for him.

288. Alive? He's alive?

289. The telegram just came.

290. Starling's lying in some godforsaken native shack

291. on a mountainside in Tibet.

292. Maybe every bone in his body is broken..

293. if we're lucky.

294. But he's alive!

295. Well, look on the bright side. There may be another avalanche.

296. (Aunt Figg) 'And he may be eaten by the abominable snowthing too.'

297. Who cares?

298. (Lickboot) 'Well, his daughter Robyn for one'

299. 'and our creditors for another.'

300. The point is daddy Starling is still..

301. alive!

302. Robyn must never know.

303. I'll make sure she never knows.

304. I'll lock her in her room.

305. Now, that's a good idea.

306. Hold it! What's the big rush?

307. Read this. Robyn's father is alive!

308. "Daddy.."

309. "Tibet?"

310. Hey! She's not an orphan no more!

311. Goodnight, sleep tight

312. and don't let the spiders and monsters

313. and scary things bite.

314. How nice.

315. You fetched my telegram. You're both so helpful.

316. I'll make sure Dr. Applecheek takes special care of you.

317. Run!

318. Oh, no, you don't.

319. Got your mousy!

320. Well, here it is... your new home.

321. Ah! Dr. J. Sweetface Applecheek at your service, dear lady.

322. Pristine Figg, doctor, Miss Pristine Figg.

323. Naturally.

324. Huh?

325. These are the two sweet strays

326. my darling little ward brought home.

327. And you don't have room for them

328. so you brought them here to my pet sanctuary.

329. Exactly.

330. (Applecheek) 'Well, my loving home is a shelter'

331. 'for all our lost and abandoned animal friends.'

332. You're gonna love it here.

333. Heh heh heh!

334. - Do we have a choice? - Yeah. This or the river.

335. - They'll be in good hands. - Ta-ta!

336. Here, boys! Take good care of them.

337. They're gone? You took them away without letting me say goodbye?

338. Oh, they didn't mind.

339. You know the only thing animals care about

340. is their next meal.

341. Yeah, yeah, yeah!

342. First my daddy and now Tom and Jerry?

343. Of course you feel miserable, you selfish little girl.

344. You should be thinking of them.

345. They're happy where they are.

346. Now, later tonight, get rid of the two new ones.

347. Pristine Figg's paid for the privilege of doing them.

348. - 'Well, well, well.' - Puggsy.

349. - Frankie. - What are you guys doing here?

350. The stray catchers finally got me.

351. So, I ain't perfect all the time.

352. I've been telling you that for years.

353. So how'd you two guys wind up in a fix like this?

354. We met this little orphan girl.

355. - Her name's Robyn. - Only, she's not an orphan.

356. - Her father's alive. - Yeah.

357. - But she don't know it yet. - What?

358. What are you two talking about?

359. Her Aunt Figg got us before we could tell her.

360. We gotta bust out of here. The kid's gotta know.

361. Sure, but how?

362. Somebody's gotta get over there and press the buttons

363. 'on the control panel.'

364. Don't look at me. How could I get out of this cage?

365. - I think I can. - I know you can.

366. twang

367. Hello, all you happy people.

368. - Huh? - Alright. Everybody out.

369. Watch it. Wa..

370. Quiet down there! I'm on the..

371. woof

372. bang

373. Well, well, well, pretty fancy footwork, pussycat.

374. Get going and give that orphan kid the good news.

375. Right!

376. knock knock

377. Jerry! Tom!

378. Robyn, have we got news for you.

379. Unh!

380. Ooh! Aah!

381. He's alive? My daddy's alive?

382. I've got to go find him. He might be hurt.

383. I'm sure he needs me. It'll be cold in Tibet.

384. - I better wear a hat. - Tibet?

385. If that's where my daddy is, that's where I'm going.

386. Do you have any idea where Tibet is?

387. No.

388. It's-it's way, way, way out there.

389. Put your finger here, please.

390. - It's-it's across the river. - Into the woods.

391. - Over the hills. - It's past Cleveland.

392. Here, Tom. Throw this end out the window.

393. Tom, hurry.

394. Down, please.

395. I'll give you down.

396. crash

397. Oh! She's escaped again.

398. I've got to call Lickboot.

399. - What's that over there? - It's just an old crate.

400. Wrong again.

401. - It's a raft! - It's a raft!

402. This is where they found her last time.

403. - Ha! It's Aunt Figg! - She'll come back here again.

404. I'll stake everything I've got on it.

405. That's exactly what you're doing.

406. Shut up, you twit.

407. Ha ha ha!

408. Twit.

409. (Aunt Figg) 'Yoo-hoo! Robyn Starling!'

410. It's your Aunt Figg, darling, come to take you home!

411. Hurry! Get on and be quiet.

412. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

413. Didn't he go before we left home?

414. No, no, no!

415. River raft! River raft!

416. River raft! Raft! Raft!

417. River raft! Raft!

418. Oh, shut up.

419. Aah! Oh! Oh! Whoa! Whoo!

420. I gotcha!

421. I gotcha!

422. Uh-oh! River raft!

423. splash

424. Yaah!

425. Hello. What do you want now, Lickboot?

426. No more money?

427. Without proof that Robyn's being well-cared for

428. we can't touch another penny of her father's money.

429. Don't talk foolishness, Lickboot.

430. Can't you do something..

431. devious?

432. I'm sure if you put your mind to it

433. you can be really sleazy.

434. Why, thank you, Pristine, but suppose we get her back

435. and the little brat tells daddy Starling why she ran away?

436. Who's he gonna believe, an over-emotional, whining

437. distraught little girl or me

438. her warm, loving, concerned nanny?

439. Now do something! I mean, lie, cheat, steal..

440. corrupt our government, do anything to get that money,

441. you nerdy nitwit.

442. Oh, well, that's easy. A reward.

443. - A reward? - Yes.

444. People will do anything for money.

445. Oh, don't I know. So?

446. So, we offer a reward for her. Someone will turn her in.

447. Big reward, say, $1 million.

448. But we don't have a million dollars.

449. I know. That's why it's so sleazy.

450. Huh? Oh?

451. Oh!

452. Oh, I love it when you talk like that.

453. This'll get her back.

454. (man on radio) 'Your daughter has run away'

455. and no one knows where she is.

456. What? My daughter's run away?

457. If Robyn's in trouble, there's only one place she'll go.

458. - Aah! - Aah!

459. - Aah! - It's alive!

460. Great wobbling waffles!

461. Avast and heave to there, mate.

462. - Oh! Well, you frightened me. - Oh, sorry, my dear.

463. My first mate doesn't mind his manners sometimes.

464. Awk! It's me bad upbringin' that's to blame.

465. Don't mind him. How are you feeling, little lady?

466. - Are you okay? - I feel a little dizzy.

467. You gave us quite a fright too, you know.

468. You've been lying here a few days now.

469. We thought you'd never leave.

470. Where am I?

471. You are the lucky guest of Cap'n Kiddie

472. king of the county fair

473. pirate of pleasure—

474. - Awk! - Oh, yes.

475. And my first mate Squawk.

476. Hee hee! He's funny.

477. - You hungry, by any chance? - Am I ever.

478. I'll bet you'd like some milk and cookies.

479. All little girls like milk and cookies

480. and milk and cookies is just what we got.

481. It's all we got.

482. snap

483. Yeow!

484. - What are you doing? - Catching your breakfast.

485. Okay. You wanna catch something?

486. Now where are we?

487. Hey! I see something!

488. Hey, Tom.

489. - Look! - What's that?

490. It's Robyn's locket.

491. She must be around here somewhere.

492. So, uh, where did you say you're headed, little lady?

493. - Davy Jones' locker, I figured. - 'Tibet.'

494. Tibet? I know it well, just outside of Cleveland.

495. - Have you been to Tibet? - Oh, yes, sirree.

496. I've played them all from Broadway to Timbuktu

497. and back again.

498. Why, I was a big star in my days.

499. Oh, boy, here we go. Awk!

500. Awk!

501. Awk!

502. Ah-choo!

503. Awk!

504. Awk!

505. Awk!

506. Well, my dear, should we take our show on the road?

507. A toast to our new star.

508. - Psst! Psst! Captain, captain. - What is it?

509. Can't you see I'm conversing with our young guest?

510. Captain, captain, I got to talk to you.

511. - Alright, already! - Can we step outside?

512. Will you excuse us for a moment, my dear?

513. I need to confer with my first mate.

514. Oh, sure.

515. I'm rich! I'm rich!

516. What do you mean, you're rich? You mean we're rich!

517. - Oh, yeah, I-I forgot. - It's the jackpot!

518. - The end of the rainbow! - The pot of gold!
