1. With every sun comes a new day.
A new beginning.Copy !req
2. A hope that things will be better today
than they were yesterday.Copy !req
3. But not for me.
My name is Eep.Copy !req
4. And this is my family, the Croods.Copy !req
5. If you weren't clued in already by the
animal skinsCopy !req
6. and sloping foreheads,
we're cavemen.Copy !req
7. Most days we spend in our cave,
in the dark.Copy !req
8. Night after night, day after day.Copy !req
9. Yep, home sweet home.Copy !req
10. When we did go out, we struggled to
find food in a harsh and hostile world.Copy !req
11. And I struggled to survive my family.Copy !req
12. We were the last ones around.
There used to be neighbors.Copy !req
13. The Gorts, smashed by a mammoth.Copy !req
14. The Horks, swallowed by a sand snake.Copy !req
15. The Erfs, mosquito bite.Copy !req
16. Throgs, common cold.Copy !req
17. And the Croods, that's us.Copy !req
18. The Croods made it, because of my dad.Copy !req
19. He was strong,
and he followed the rules.Copy !req
20. The ones painted on the cave walls.Copy !req
21. Anything new is bad, curiosity is bad.Copy !req
22. Going out at night is bad.
Basically, anything fun is bad.Copy !req
23. Welcome to my world.Copy !req
24. But this is a story about how
all that changed in an instant.Copy !req
25. Because what we didn't know
was that our world...Copy !req
26. was about to come to an end.Copy !req
27. And there were no rules on our
cave walls to prepare us for that.Copy !req
28. You are supposed to wait
for my signal. Eep?Copy !req
29. Boo.Copy !req
30. Ow! No!Copy !req
31. We've been in that cave forever.Copy !req
32. Three days is not forever.Copy !req
33. It is with this family.Copy !req
34. Eep, would you come down here?
You're being so dramatic.Copy !req
35. No, Sandy, come back here.Copy !req
36. Remember the signal.
Good girls wait for the signal. Ugga.Copy !req
37. As soon as I get Sandy, I'll go back in,
and you can give the signal.Copy !req
38. No, I mean, you're already out now.Copy !req
39. I'm waiting for the signal, Dad.Copy !req
40. Never mind, Thunk. Just come out.Copy !req
41. But if you don't give the signal,
how do I know you're my dad?Copy !req
42. The signal isn't so you know it's me.Copy !req
43. It's so you know I wasn't eaten
by an animal.Copy !req
44. Then why is the signal an animal noise?
Doesn't that just confuse things?Copy !req
45. I don't know.
I'm still waiting for the signal.Copy !req
46. Mom, we're ready to leave.Copy !req
47. Mom?Copy !req
48. Still alive.Copy !req
49. It's still early.Copy !req
50. And you're still fat.Copy !req
51. Breakfast formation!Copy !req
52. I want to see some real caveman action
out there. We do this fast.Copy !req
53. We do this loud.
We do this as a family.Copy !req
54. And never not be afraid!Copy !req
55. Yay, breakfast.Copy !req
56. Who's up?Copy !req
57. We'll flip for it.
Call her in the air.Copy !req
58. Heads!Copy !req
59. Tails. Thunk is in. Positions.Copy !req
60. Okay. Thunk...Copy !req
61. Go.Copy !req
62. Come on, Thunk.Copy !req
63. Way to go.
Take it to the cave.Copy !req
64. Release the baby!Copy !req
65. Get them, Sandy! Go!Copy !req
66. Get them, Mom!Copy !req
67. Old lady down!
Eep, avenge me!Copy !req
68. Thanks.Copy !req
69. Eep!Copy !req
70. Heads up!Copy !req
71. Hey Dad, can we eat now?Copy !req
72. Just wait till we get home.Copy !req
73. Eep, put on the brakes.Copy !req
74. Eep!Copy !req
75. - Who is hungry?
- All right! Good one, Dad.Copy !req
76. Here you go, Thunk. Drink up.Copy !req
77. - Sorry, Dad.
- Looks like fast food tonight.Copy !req
78. That's all right. I ate last week.Copy !req
79. Two knuckle warning!Copy !req
80. Come on, Croods. Go, go.Copy !req
81. Come on, come on. Darkness brings death.
We know this.Copy !req
82. The moon is full. Bath night.Copy !req
83. - Run for your life!
- You too, Mom.Copy !req
84. I don't want to lose
my protective layer.Copy !req
85. Mom, you've got ants.Copy !req
86. See? Sandy doesn't fuss.Copy !req
87. Is she still out there?Copy !req
88. You know she hates the cave, Grug.Copy !req
89. Please come back tomorrow.Copy !req
90. How could she not like the cave?
It's so cozy.Copy !req
91. It is a little dark, Grug.Copy !req
92. It's not that dark.Copy !req
93. Eep!Copy !req
94. Eep?Copy !req
95. Come on, I have to close the cave.Copy !req
96. Eep!Copy !req
97. Okay, okay.Copy !req
98. Come on.Copy !req
99. Eep! Come down!Copy !req
100. - That was too close.
- I was watching. I was fine.Copy !req
101. - What were you doing up there, Eep?
- I don't know.Copy !req
102. - What were you looking for?
- Nothing.Copy !req
103. - Then why did you go up there?
- I don't know.Copy !req
104. Why don't you know?Copy !req
105. Stop looking for things.Copy !req
106. Fear keeps us alive, Eep.
Never not be afraid.Copy !req
107. What is the point of all this?Copy !req
108. What was that?Copy !req
109. Why are we here?
What are we doing this for?Copy !req
110. No one said survival was fun.Copy !req
111. Nothing is fun.Copy !req
112. - Would you come down here?
- Grug.Copy !req
113. - Eep.
- Grug.Copy !req
114. - Yes.
- Off!Copy !req
115. - Yes, I know. Okay, I'm trying to...
- Off.Copy !req
116. I just don't see why
she needs her own ledge, that's all.Copy !req
117. - That's what this is about.
- She's working through some things...Copy !req
118. and she needs her own space.Copy !req
119. What things?
How long is this going to take?Copy !req
120. Really?
She already doesn't listen to me. Hey!Copy !req
121. See? She's listening.Copy !req
122. If she wants to survive,
she has to follow our rules.Copy !req
123. How about a story?
Eep loves those.Copy !req
124. That's a good ide...
How about a story, huh?Copy !req
125. Yeah, tell us a story.Copy !req
126. Okay. Can I borrow that? Thank you.Copy !req
127. Eep, your old favorite.Copy !req
128. I haven't played with that thing in years.Copy !req
129. Tonight we'll hear the story
of Krispy Bear.Copy !req
130. A long time ago,
this little bear was alive.Copy !req
131. She was alive
because she listened to her father...Copy !req
132. and lived her life in routine
and darkness and terror.Copy !req
133. So she was happy.Copy !req
134. But Krispy had one terrible problem.Copy !req
135. She was filled with... curiosity.Copy !req
136. - Grug.
- Yes. yes.Copy !req
137. And one day, while she was in a tree...Copy !req
138. the curious little bear
wanted to climb to the top.Copy !req
139. And no sooner than
she climbed to the top...Copy !req
140. she saw something new and died!Copy !req
141. - Just like that?
- Yes!Copy !req
142. Her last moments of terror
still frozen on her face.Copy !req
143. Same ending as every day.Copy !req
144. I get it, Dad. I will never do
anything new or different.Copy !req
145. Good man, Thunk.Copy !req
146. All right, everyone
sharpen your teeth, and let's pile up.Copy !req
147. Air.Copy !req
148. You talk.Copy !req
149. I'm a person, like you.Copy !req
150. Sort of like you.Copy !req
151. Okay, okay.Copy !req
152. Hey, hey, hey!Copy !req
153. Would you mind not...Copy !req
154. That tickles.Copy !req
155. Hey, hey, hey!Copy !req
156. Quiet!Copy !req
157. I'm not supposed to be out here.Copy !req
158. Eep is gone.Copy !req
159. What? Grug!Copy !req
160. Stay in the cave.Copy !req
161. Wow. You are really strong.Copy !req
162. Hey! No! It's mine.Copy !req
163. - Please! Wait.
- No!Copy !req
164. - It's dying! I can fix it!
- No! I caught it!Copy !req
165. Please! Please.Copy !req
166. I hate the dark.Copy !req
167. Come on, come on, come on.Copy !req
168. It does what you tell it?Copy !req
169. Yeah. Sort of.Copy !req
170. The sun?Copy !req
171. No, no, no. Fire.Copy !req
172. Hi, fire.Copy !req
173. It's not alive.Copy !req
174. But you said it was dying.Copy !req
175. Sorry.Copy !req
176. It comes from where you come from?Copy !req
177. No. No, I make it.Copy !req
178. - Make some for me.
- Okay.Copy !req
179. Make!Copy !req
180. It doesn't come out of me.Copy !req
181. Make! Make it!Copy !req
182. You do this a lot.Copy !req
183. Are you dead?Copy !req
184. Can I have your fire if you're dead?Copy !req
185. Clear!Copy !req
186. Hey, those are cold!Copy !req
187. You think? Listening shells, activate.Copy !req
188. I concur.Copy !req
189. Tiger girl, we need to leave immediately.Copy !req
190. I don't even know you.Copy !req
191. I'm Guy.Copy !req
192. Guy?Copy !req
193. And this is Belt.
Cook, conversationalist, navigator.Copy !req
194. Also, keeps my pants up.Copy !req
195. What are "pants up"?Copy !req
196. Who are you?Copy !req
197. Eep.Copy !req
198. Let me clarify, Eep.
The world is ending.Copy !req
199. What?Copy !req
200. I'm calling it "The End."Copy !req
201. How do you know?Copy !req
202. I have seen it. It's coming this way.Copy !req
203. First, the ground is going to shake.
Then it breaks open. Everything falls in.Copy !req
204. Fire. Lava.Copy !req
205. I don't mean to sound too dramatic, but...Copy !req
206. Believe me, everything we are
standing on will be gone.Copy !req
207. We got to get to high ground.
I know a mountain, that way.Copy !req
208. It's our only chance.Copy !req
209. Come with me.Copy !req
210. I can't.Copy !req
211. Okay.Copy !req
212. Here.Copy !req
213. If you survive, call me.Copy !req
214. Thank you.Copy !req
215. Hello?Copy !req
216. Hey!Copy !req
217. Dad!Copy !req
218. Are you hurt? What took you?Copy !req
219. Nothing. I left on my own.Copy !req
220. You what?Copy !req
221. Dad, let me explain.Copy !req
222. You never let me talk.Copy !req
223. You're grounded.Copy !req
224. Hey!Copy !req
225. Eep!Copy !req
226. Mom.Copy !req
227. Grug! What happened?Copy !req
228. You know what, I am so mad right now
that I can't talk to her.Copy !req
229. Eep?Copy !req
230. You will never believe it.
I found something new.Copy !req
231. New!Copy !req
232. New is a big problem!Copy !req
233. Wait, wait!Copy !req
234. Eep. Stay inside the family kill circle.Copy !req
235. - It wasn't bad.
- "New" is always bad.Copy !req
236. No. He was nice.Copy !req
237. What? Excuse me? He?Copy !req
238. I thought he was a warthog,
but then he turned into a boy.Copy !req
239. Strange.Copy !req
240. Usually it's the reverse.Copy !req
241. Eep's got a boy hog. Eep's got a boy...Copy !req
242. There was a boy.Copy !req
243. Watch. I'm going to call him.Copy !req
244. What is wrong with you?Copy !req
245. It was dangerous.Copy !req
246. It was beautiful!Copy !req
247. You want to see dangerous? Here!Copy !req
248. My sniffer!Copy !req
249. Okay, that's it!Copy !req
250. We're going back to the cave...Copy !req
251. and you're going to stay in there
until you're older than...Copy !req
252. her!Copy !req
253. What!Copy !req
254. You can't keep me inside forever!Copy !req
255. He said this would happen.Copy !req
256. Get to the cave!Copy !req
257. Go!Copy !req
258. Look out!Copy !req
259. Stop!Copy !req
260. Is everyone okay?Copy !req
261. Yes.Copy !req
262. Grug, the cave...Copy !req
263. it's gone.Copy !req
264. No.Copy !req
265. You really need to see this.Copy !req
266. We should go there!Copy !req
267. No. No one is going anywhere.Copy !req
268. What else did that boy say?Copy !req
269. Grug?Copy !req
270. Just go! Just go!Copy !req
271. Go!Copy !req
272. One, two, three, four, five...Copy !req
273. Six.Copy !req
274. Where are we?Copy !req
275. I don't know. I'm not sure.Copy !req
276. Down.Copy !req
277. In a lower place.Copy !req
278. But one thing is for sure,
we can't go back the way we came.Copy !req
279. Sandy? What is it?Copy !req
280. No, no, no. Wait. Come back, Sandy!Copy !req
281. We can't be out in the open like this.Copy !req
282. We need a cave.Copy !req
283. Now, step where I step.Copy !req
284. Okay. Stay quiet.Copy !req
285. Hopefully, nothing big
knows we're here yet.Copy !req
286. Wait.Copy !req
287. Okay.Copy !req
288. Wait.Copy !req
289. Okay.Copy !req
290. Wait!Copy !req
291. Wait.Copy !req
292. Okay.Copy !req
293. Wait.Copy !req
294. Wait.Copy !req
295. So, Dad...Copy !req
296. just to be clear, are we looking for
the exact same cave?Copy !req
297. If it was me...
I'm just throwing this out there...Copy !req
298. if it was me choosing the cave...Copy !req
299. I would go with a smaller cave.Copy !req
300. Wait.Copy !req
301. Dad?Copy !req
302. I'll take care of this.Copy !req
303. All right, Dad, get them! Go get them!Copy !req
304. Now you got them right...Copy !req
305. Man, they're really...Copy !req
306. I'm loving this.Copy !req
307. Dad, I got it.Copy !req
308. Just stop running into their fists.Copy !req
309. Grug, when you're done,
we should get going.Copy !req
310. That's right. You can't get past this!Copy !req
311. Climb! Climb! Climb!Copy !req
312. Cave!Copy !req
313. Go! Go!Copy !req
314. Come on! Hurry up. Let's go.Copy !req
315. Look! This cave has a tongue. Awesome!Copy !req
316. Okay.Copy !req
317. That's one, two, three, four, five, six.Copy !req
318. And seven...Copy !req
319. if we're counting Chunky the Death Cat.Copy !req
320. It's scared of the dark.Copy !req
321. Wait, we're scared of the dark.Copy !req
322. Kill circle!Copy !req
323. Eep!Copy !req
324. Eep!Copy !req
325. - Cavies!
- "Cavies"?Copy !req
326. Cavemen! Stand back!
They're practically animals.Copy !req
327. - You see their bony, sloping foreheads?
- Yeah.Copy !req
328. The huge primitive teeth?Copy !req
329. Yeah.Copy !req
330. The excessive body hair.Copy !req
331. That one has got a tail.Copy !req
332. Yeah.Copy !req
333. All right. Close your eyes.
I'm going to have to take their lives.Copy !req
334. No! It won't help.
They're my family.Copy !req
335. What?Copy !req
336. The sun is in his hands!Copy !req
337. No, no. It's "fire."Copy !req
338. Where did it come from?Copy !req
339. He made it.Copy !req
340. Make some for me!Copy !req
341. It doesn't come out of him.Copy !req
342. Make. Make it!Copy !req
343. You're a lot like your daughter.Copy !req
344. Great, now he's broken.Copy !req
345. It's a baby sun.Copy !req
346. Hey, stay back.
We don't know what it wants.Copy !req
347. Now, we'll all sit here
and wait for the sun to come back.Copy !req
348. And tomorrow we'll find a new cave...Copy !req
349. and pretend today never happened.Copy !req
350. Isn't this fun, Eep?Copy !req
351. Eep, don't touch him.Copy !req
352. Goodness knows where he's been.Copy !req
353. Dad, Sandy is hurting fire.Copy !req
354. Sandy, no. Fire is not a plaything.Copy !req
355. What a cute little guy.Copy !req
356. Hey. Stay back.Copy !req
357. No, no, no, wait!Copy !req
358. It likes me.Copy !req
359. Hey! It's biting me!Copy !req
360. Thunk! Try hiding from it
in the tall, dry grass!Copy !req
361. No, stop. Please, I'm only nine.Copy !req
362. They're biting me!Copy !req
363. More fire babies.Copy !req
364. Hi.Copy !req
365. So, your dad, he is trying to kill me.Copy !req
366. Yeah. But I won't let him.Copy !req
367. Hold on, son. Come back!Copy !req
368. No, stop! Let me go!Copy !req
369. Get out! Out! Out!Copy !req
370. Eat up, babies!Copy !req
371. No, stop touching me!Copy !req
372. Die!Copy !req
373. I win!Copy !req
374. They're not so scary
once you get to know them.Copy !req
375. Who are you people?Copy !req
376. I'm sorry.Copy !req
377. We're the Croods!Copy !req
378. And you are?Copy !req
379. Guy.Copy !req
380. Hi, Guy.Copy !req
381. Wow!Copy !req
382. It looks like magic.Copy !req
383. And smells like food.Copy !req
384. No, don't eat it, it's new.Copy !req
385. Still alive!Copy !req
386. Come on, keep eating.Copy !req
387. Hey, where is Guy?Copy !req
388. No!Copy !req
389. Going somewhere?Copy !req
390. The mountain? High ground?
End of the world, remember?Copy !req
391. That already happened.
It destroyed our cave.Copy !req
392. No. That was just the beginning of the end.Copy !req
393. The end of the end is still coming.Copy !req
394. Eep. Drop it.Copy !req
395. We can't let him go!Copy !req
396. What if we don't find a
cave before sunset?Copy !req
397. What if it takes a few days?Copy !req
398. What if the birds come back?Copy !req
399. We need his fire, dummy!Copy !req
400. Fine. You're staying with us
until we find a cave.Copy !req
401. What? No, I'm not.
Don't make me a part of this!Copy !req
402. Stay here if you want, but let me go.Copy !req
403. I've got a dream...Copy !req
404. a mission, a reason to live!Copy !req
405. Not anymore.Copy !req
406. I've got an idea.Copy !req
407. Let's go to that mountain.Copy !req
408. It's too far.Copy !req
409. Dad really has his heart set on a cave.Copy !req
410. There are caves on that mountain.Copy !req
411. Have you been there?Copy !req
412. It's a mountain.Copy !req
413. Mountains are safe.
Mountains have caves.Copy !req
414. And water. And sticks.Copy !req
415. Mom? Did you hear that?
I can get my own stick!Copy !req
416. Yes. Sticks and caves.
Caves and sticks.Copy !req
417. Crazy sticks. Let's go.Copy !req
418. Quiet!Copy !req
419. That thing is weird.Copy !req
420. No, no, no. It's okay, Sandy.Copy !req
421. That's just Belt.Copy !req
422. I've made a decision.Copy !req
423. We're going to that mountain.Copy !req
424. Don't ask me why. Just a hunch.Copy !req
425. Just feels right.Copy !req
426. I don't know, Grug.
We've never really walked that far.Copy !req
427. I don't think my feet can do that.Copy !req
428. I'll never live long enough to get there.Copy !req
429. Let's do it.Copy !req
430. Come on, just think.Copy !req
431. Our whole family packed together
on a long, slow, trip across country?Copy !req
432. Days and nights with just each other.Copy !req
433. We'll tell stories. We'll laugh.Copy !req
434. We'll become closer as a family.Copy !req
435. Get her off!Copy !req
436. If you're not ready to challenge her,
then don't look her in the eye.Copy !req
437. Could you keep your big giant arms
on your side of the trail?Copy !req
438. Isn't this fun?
We're taking our first trip together.Copy !req
439. Stop shoving,
or I will pull out your tongue!Copy !req
440. Do you want me to
turn this family around? Do you?Copy !req
441. Because I will
turn this family around so fast!Copy !req
442. Dad, I gotta go!Copy !req
443. - Come on, you can hold it.
- I don't think so.Copy !req
444. Sandy, take that out of your mouth.Copy !req
445. - I'm touching...
- Gran.Copy !req
446. Dad, I still gotta go!Copy !req
447. Fine. Just go behind one of those
lumpy things and make it fast.Copy !req
448. - Something bit me!
- I don't blame it.Copy !req
449. Dad, can I take a turn carrying him?Copy !req
450. No.Copy !req
451. - How about now?
- No.Copy !req
452. - Now?
- No.Copy !req
453. Now?Copy !req
454. I can do this all day long.Copy !req
455. No, no, no and still no.Copy !req
456. I'm not dying on an empty stomach.Copy !req
457. Grug, we're all pretty tired!Copy !req
458. We'll eat when we get there.Copy !req
459. It's taking too long!Copy !req
460. I'm grabbing a snack.Copy !req
461. Don't do that. He will cut you.Copy !req
462. That's not food, he's a pet. My pet.Copy !req
463. What's a pet?Copy !req
464. An animal you don't eat.Copy !req
465. We call those "children."Copy !req
466. No man should have a pet.
It's weird and wrong.Copy !req
467. - It's food!
- No, please!Copy !req
468. Not that. That!Copy !req
469. Food fixes everything.Copy !req
470. Show me your hunting face.Copy !req
471. Not you. You're still grounded.Copy !req
472. Come on, Thunk.Copy !req
473. My feet hurt.Copy !req
474. - You look tense.
- I'm not tense.Copy !req
475. Angry girl wants to be doing
what they're doing.Copy !req
476. I wasn't ready.Copy !req
477. Hang on, Thunk, I'm coming!Copy !req
478. Why are you doing this?Copy !req
479. What are they doing?Copy !req
480. Hunting.Copy !req
481. Get it off! You stay away from me.Copy !req
482. No, seriously, what are they doing?Copy !req
483. You've got a ton of eggs.
Just make another egg.Copy !req
484. Now you're just rubbing it in.Copy !req
485. There, who's hungry for scorpion?Copy !req
486. What happened to the egg and the bird?Copy !req
487. We lost him.Copy !req
488. But when the bird stepped on me
and pushed me into the ground...Copy !req
489. the scorpion grabbed a hold of me...Copy !req
490. and one thing led to another
and here we are eating him.Copy !req
491. So, win-win.Copy !req
492. Not enough. Not enough!
I need more.Copy !req
493. I need more.Copy !req
494. Look at that.
She's not going to eat me, right?Copy !req
495. You're too skinny.Copy !req
496. If she was going to eat anyone
it would be...Copy !req
497. Mom!Copy !req
498. She's locked her jaw!Copy !req
499. Get a stick! Get a stick!Copy !req
500. Stay away!Copy !req
501. You sick old monster!Copy !req
502. Hurry! Put the stick in her mouth!Copy !req
503. Hold her still. Use a rock.Copy !req
504. Ugga, would you just hit her legs?Copy !req
505. Why are you rolling away?Copy !req
506. I just want something to eat.Copy !req
507. You have bug for dinner. Plenty of bug!Copy !req
508. Please.Copy !req
509. I'll let you help me hunt.Copy !req
510. Really?Copy !req
511. Don't wait on me. They're all over me.Copy !req
512. Tell my story.Copy !req
513. Okay.Copy !req
514. What do you call this?Copy !req
515. A trap.Copy !req
516. What does it do?Copy !req
517. Well...Copy !req
518. How long have you been alone?Copy !req
519. So, what do we do?Copy !req
520. How's your acting?Copy !req
521. You're good at this.Copy !req
522. No. Sorry.Copy !req
523. Okay.Copy !req
524. - Yeah, that's yours.
- Excuse me.Copy !req
525. Your other hand...Copy !req
526. - That's my arm.
- Okay, I'm moving it.Copy !req
527. Going under.Copy !req
528. It didn't step in your trapything.Copy !req
529. Yeah, I noticed!Copy !req
530. Where's Eep?Copy !req
531. She's awesome.Copy !req
532. Eep!Copy !req
533. Dad, no!Copy !req
534. It's an avalanche of flavor.Copy !req
535. Looks like we won't be
having any leftovers.Copy !req
536. What are "left overs"?Copy !req
537. When you have so much food to eat,
you have some left over.Copy !req
538. We never have that much food.Copy !req
539. Grug, how about a story?Copy !req
540. That's a good idea. How about a story?Copy !req
541. Yeah, tell us a story!Copy !req
542. Once upon a time,
there was a little tiger...Copy !req
543. who lived in a cave with her family.Copy !req
544. There were a lot of rules...Copy !req
545. but the big, simple one
was to never leave the cave at night.Copy !req
546. And the door was so heavy,
you'd think it would be easy to remember.Copy !req
547. So easy to remember!Copy !req
548. I know.Copy !req
549. But, while everyone was asleep...Copy !req
550. she went out anyway.Copy !req
551. - No!
- Yes!Copy !req
552. And no sooner than she did,
their cave was destroyed...Copy !req
553. and everyone had to go
on this long, sucky walk...Copy !req
554. with some weirdo they met...Copy !req
555. and die!Copy !req
556. The end.Copy !req
557. I did not see that coming. Twist ending.Copy !req
558. My stories never end like that.Copy !req
559. Yes! Two stories in one night!Copy !req
560. Okay. But it won't be as good as Grug's.Copy !req
561. Once upon a time,
there was a beautiful tiger.Copy !req
562. She lived in a cave
with the rest of her family.Copy !req
563. Her father and mother told her,
"You may go anywhere you want...Copy !req
564. "but never go near the cliff,
for you could fall."Copy !req
565. And die. Good story.Copy !req
566. But when no one was looking...Copy !req
567. she'd go near the cliff...Copy !req
568. for the closer she came to the edge...Copy !req
569. the more she could hear,
the more she could see...Copy !req
570. the more she could feel.Copy !req
571. Finally...Copy !req
572. she stood at the very edge.Copy !req
573. She saw a light.Copy !req
574. She leaned out to touch it...Copy !req
575. and she slipped.Copy !req
576. And she fell.Copy !req
577. And she flew.Copy !req
578. Where did she fly?Copy !req
579. Tomorrow.Copy !req
580. Tomorrow?Copy !req
581. A place with more suns in the sky
than you can count.Copy !req
582. It would be so bright.Copy !req
583. A place not like today, or yesterday.Copy !req
584. A place where things are better.Copy !req
585. Tomorrow isn't a place.Copy !req
586. You can't see it!Copy !req
587. Yes, it is.Copy !req
588. I've seen it.Copy !req
589. That's where I'm going.Copy !req
590. We are going to shut our eyes and sleep.Copy !req
591. And when we wake up...Copy !req
592. we're going to find the place
that has everything we want.Copy !req
593. Tomorrow?Copy !req
594. A cave.Copy !req
595. That was too close. It almost caught us.Copy !req
596. I was watching. We were fine.Copy !req
597. We gotta move faster.Copy !req
598. Do you people have any other speed
aside from "wander"?Copy !req
599. I'll take a shamble at this point.Copy !req
600. Hey, do you have a minute?Copy !req
601. How did the tiger fly?Copy !req
602. I only share when I'm outside the log.Copy !req
603. I'm funny that way.Copy !req
604. Leave this to me.Copy !req
605. Hey, Thunk...Copy !req
606. you have a spider on your face.Copy !req
607. Oops.Copy !req
608. He's loose!Copy !req
609. Do not step on those weird pointy rocks.Copy !req
610. Do you mean these rocks?Copy !req
611. Do not step on these rocks!Copy !req
612. Step aside, girls.Copy !req
613. Hello? Nobody's listening!
No one is listening.Copy !req
614. You cannot walk on those!Copy !req
615. Get back here now!Copy !req
616. There goes our chance for survival.Copy !req
617. And our log!Copy !req
618. Okay.Copy !req
619. Jumping doesn't help. It does briefly...Copy !req
620. but it doesn't get better.Copy !req
621. How about...Copy !req
622. Don't walk on your hands.
The hands do not help at all.Copy !req
623. Come on.Copy !req
624. I can help you...Copy !req
625. but we're going to have to
make a few changes around here.Copy !req
626. The log ride is over.Copy !req
627. Drop the log.Copy !req
628. Now, kick it away.Copy !req
629. Farther.Copy !req
630. Really?Copy !req
631. Okay, smart "Guy"...Copy !req
632. now what?Copy !req
633. Good fish, good fish.Copy !req
634. Okay. Now you can look.Copy !req
635. I love them!
Where are my feet?Copy !req
636. They're still there!Copy !req
637. Okay.Copy !req
638. You're really heavy.Copy !req
639. Really?Copy !req
640. Thank you!Copy !req
641. Hey. Wait!Copy !req
642. Okay.Copy !req
643. She's up. We're good. I'm good.Copy !req
644. These shoes are great!
Where do you get these ideas?Copy !req
645. I'm calling it a "brain."Copy !req
646. I'm pretty sure it's
where ideas come from.Copy !req
647. Dad, I don't have a brain.Copy !req
648. We've gotten along just fine
without brains until now.Copy !req
649. Cavemen don't need brains.
We have these.Copy !req
650. That's what I'm talking about!
Ideas are for weaklings.Copy !req
651. Now, let's get to that mountain!Copy !req
652. Wow! I love those!Copy !req
653. Good fish. Don't eat my feet.Copy !req
654. So, how did the tiger fly?Copy !req
655. She jumped on the sun...Copy !req
656. and rode it to Tomorrow.Copy !req
657. No, no, no.Copy !req
658. Hi, Dad!Copy !req
659. Bye, Dad!Copy !req
660. You've seen rain before, right?Copy !req
661. We don't get out much.Copy !req
662. Eep, looks dangerous.Copy !req
663. Dad, you say that about everything.Copy !req
664. Careful.Copy !req
665. Really? Okay.Copy !req
666. No, no, no. Not cool!Copy !req
667. So, the bear says, "Your cave? I've been
dumping my bones here since last week."Copy !req
668. Last week!Copy !req
669. That's a funny story!Copy !req
670. It's not a story. It's a joke.Copy !req
671. What's a "joke"?Copy !req
672. Just making something up
to make you laugh.Copy !req
673. - One for you.
- Thanks.Copy !req
674. One for you. And this one's for you.Copy !req
675. Okay.Copy !req
676. Okay! That's enough!Copy !req
677. I don't see why the kids
need their own shells.Copy !req
678. So if anyone gets in trouble,
we can call the others.Copy !req
679. Wait, you're saying we should split up?Copy !req
680. We can try more paths at once.
It's the fastest way through.Copy !req
681. Croods stick together.
Your way isn't safe.Copy !req
682. They can handle it.Copy !req
683. We can do it, Dad.Copy !req
684. No, no, no.Copy !req
685. It's my job to keep you safe.Copy !req
686. I'm still in charge
and we are not splitting up.Copy !req
687. Except for you two.Copy !req
688. And that's final.Copy !req
689. Hello?Copy !req
690. Is everyone all right?Copy !req
691. We're okay, Grug.Copy !req
692. Dad? I'm freaking out a little bit.Copy !req
693. Just tell me what to do.
What do I do? What do I do right now?Copy !req
694. Stay where you are. I'll find you.Copy !req
695. No. Too slow.Copy !req
696. Everybody, keep moving forward
and we'll get out.Copy !req
697. Dad?Copy !req
698. Yeah.Copy !req
699. Okay.Copy !req
700. Remember, never not be afraid.Copy !req
701. You can do this!Copy !req
702. It's going to be okay,
it's going to be okay.Copy !req
703. I'm going to pass out.Copy !req
704. Sandy. Sandy!Copy !req
705. Give me another one.Copy !req
706. You dropped these.Copy !req
707. Come with me.Copy !req
708. Here, boy! Catch!Copy !req
709. Yoo- hoo!Copy !req
710. Gran?Copy !req
711. Mom?Copy !req
712. Wow.Copy !req
713. Grug?Copy !req
714. I'll go get him.Copy !req
715. Good boy! Who's a good boy?Copy !req
716. You are! Yes, you are! Look at you!Copy !req
717. You need a name. You want a name?Copy !req
718. I'm going to call you Douglas.Copy !req
719. Can you do tricks? Roll over.Copy !req
720. Come on, Douglas, roll over.Copy !req
721. Good boy, Douglas!Copy !req
722. I was in love once.Copy !req
723. He was a hunter. I was a gatherer.Copy !req
724. It was quite a scandal.Copy !req
725. We fed each other berries, we danced.Copy !req
726. Then my father smashed him with a rock
and traded me to your grandfather.Copy !req
727. Croods!Copy !req
728. Get down here.Copy !req
729. Grug, they're okay. Guy is with them.Copy !req
730. Guy is with them. Okay.Copy !req
731. Thank you.Copy !req
732. Thank you for bringing me
that interesting Guy update.Copy !req
733. Okay. I'm going to go up...Copy !req
734. and why don't you join us
when you stop being a big drag!Copy !req
735. Sleep pile?Copy !req
736. How about a story?Copy !req
737. Anyone?Copy !req
738. And then Torg said,
"Know it? I drew it."Copy !req
739. That makes no sense.Copy !req
740. I know it was hard for you
to bring us along...Copy !req
741. but they had the
best day of their lives.Copy !req
742. Thank you for that.Copy !req
743. I want to show you something.Copy !req
744. More suns in the sky than you can count.Copy !req
745. Every sun that crosses our sky
comes to rest up there.Copy !req
746. Tomorrow.Copy !req
747. That's where we'll be safe.Copy !req
748. I'm going with Guy.Copy !req
749. No. Not my little girl.Copy !req
750. Come with us.Copy !req
751. I can't go without Grug.Copy !req
752. That makes one of us. Count me in.Copy !req
753. Really, Mom? Now?Copy !req
754. Grug has no idea how to protect us.Copy !req
755. In fact, he has no ideas at all!Copy !req
756. No, that's not true.
What about that one time when he...Copy !req
757. Face it.Copy !req
758. If he actually had an idea of his own...Copy !req
759. I'd have a heart attack and die!Copy !req
760. Grug?Copy !req
761. - Dad!
- Dad!Copy !req
762. He's a big guy. How could he
just disappear like that?Copy !req
763. Hey, wait! Let's ask that ugly lady
if she's seen Dad.Copy !req
764. Haven't seen him.Copy !req
765. What are you doing?Copy !req
766. Yeah.Copy !req
767. I was up all night, because
all these ideas just kept coming to me.Copy !req
768. Is that a snake?Copy !req
769. Belt, new and improved.Copy !req
770. It's even self-tightening!Copy !req
771. What is that on your head?Copy !req
772. It's called desperation.Copy !req
773. I call it a "rug." Rhymes with "Grug."Copy !req
774. And this one, I call it a "ride."Copy !req
775. Rhymes with "Grug."Copy !req
776. That doesn't rhyme...Copy !req
777. It's going to get us
places faster than shoes.Copy !req
778. Yeah! Try to keep up!Copy !req
779. I wish I had a ride.Copy !req
780. And painting is a thing of the past.Copy !req
781. I call this a "snapshot."Copy !req
782. Let's do it again. I think I blinked.Copy !req
783. I call them "shades."Copy !req
784. The sun doesn't hurt my eyes anymore.Copy !req
785. Where do you get these great ideas?Copy !req
786. Since I don't have a brain...Copy !req
787. they're coming from my stomach,
down deep below...Copy !req
788. and then up again into my mind.Copy !req
789. Grug, we have to keep moving.Copy !req
790. See, I got ideas. I got thoughts.Copy !req
791. Like this. I call it a "mobile home."Copy !req
792. Isn't that something?Copy !req
793. And I'm calling this one a "lifterator."Copy !req
794. Mom?Copy !req
795. I know. It's bad.Copy !req
796. I almost feel sorry for him.Copy !req
797. No, I don't.Copy !req
798. What are you trying to do, Grug?Copy !req
799. See, I thought if I could have ideas...Copy !req
800. like Guy...Copy !req
801. maybe Eep would listen to me.Copy !req
802. And maybe she wouldn't
want to go with Guy.Copy !req
803. Grug.Copy !req
804. Is that what this is all about?Copy !req
805. And I also thought
it would kill your mother.Copy !req
806. So win- win.Copy !req
807. We're here!Copy !req
808. Wow.Copy !req
809. Cave!Copy !req
810. Everyone inside.Copy !req
811. Hurry up. Let's go.Copy !req
812. Let's go. Go!Copy !req
813. No!Copy !req
814. No more caves, Grug.Copy !req
815. What?Copy !req
816. We're going to jump on the sun
and ride it to Tomorrow with Guy!Copy !req
817. Wait. So you're all going to do this?Copy !req
818. Thunk?Copy !req
819. Sorry, Dad.Copy !req
820. You have to stop worrying for all of us.Copy !req
821. It's my job to worry!
It's my job to follow the rules!Copy !req
822. The rules don't work out here!Copy !req
823. They kept us alive!Copy !req
824. That wasn't living!
That was just not dying.Copy !req
825. There's a difference.Copy !req
826. Ugga, everyone,
you have to listen to me.Copy !req
827. We would be dead if we listened to you!Copy !req
828. We have to follow Guy now.Copy !req
829. Guy.Copy !req
830. Guy? Run.Copy !req
831. This is pointless!Copy !req
832. We're running out of time.
Everything is collapsing.Copy !req
833. You're being irrational
and counterproductive!Copy !req
834. Big words anger me!Copy !req
835. Keep talking.Copy !req
836. Countermeasures!Copy !req
837. You remember how you were
this morning? You changed.Copy !req
838. Idea man. Modern man.Copy !req
839. I am a caveman!Copy !req
840. No, no, no, wait!Copy !req
841. No!Copy !req
842. What is this stuff that saves you
from my punches?Copy !req
843. Tar.Copy !req
844. No. I have to get back to them.Copy !req
845. Stop struggling.Copy !req
846. No!Copy !req
847. Grug, stop!Copy !req
848. No one gets out of this.Copy !req
849. Believe me...Copy !req
850. I know.Copy !req
851. Your...Copy !req
852. Family. Yeah.Copy !req
853. Sorry.Copy !req
854. I was little when it happened.Copy !req
855. Last thing my parents told me was...Copy !req
856. "Don't hide.Copy !req
857. "Live.Copy !req
858. "Follow the sun.Copy !req
859. "You'll make it to Tomorrow."Copy !req
860. You followed the light.Copy !req
861. My daughter is a lot like you.Copy !req
862. No.Copy !req
863. She's like you.Copy !req
864. She loves you,
but always forgets to say it.Copy !req
865. Just like you forget to tell her.Copy !req
866. I guess I was just busy
keeping them all alive.Copy !req
867. It's okay. That's what dads do.Copy !req
868. That's right.Copy !req
869. But we can't do that from here.Copy !req
870. We need one of your ideas.Copy !req
871. Come on. You can do it.Copy !req
872. Belt! Emergency Idea Generator, activate!Copy !req
873. I've got it.Copy !req
874. Wow.Copy !req
875. Yeah, I know. But he's doing
the best with what he has.Copy !req
876. Let's go.Copy !req
877. There he is.Copy !req
878. Belt, I want romance, drama, sincerity.Copy !req
879. Move me.Copy !req
880. Okay, he sees us.Copy !req
881. That's our cue. Now, work it!Copy !req
882. He's not coming over.Copy !req
883. I don't think our puppet
looks scared enough.Copy !req
884. Scared? I'll show you scared.Copy !req
885. Hand me those acting sticks!Copy !req
886. Hold on!Copy !req
887. Yes! You did it.Copy !req
888. - Grug!
- Dad!Copy !req
889. Hey! We're okay!Copy !req
890. Yeah.Copy !req
891. We're okay.Copy !req
892. Grug, your call.Copy !req
893. Take us to Tomorrow.Copy !req
894. Hurry!Copy !req
895. Come on! We're going to make it!Copy !req
896. You were right.Copy !req
897. There it is! The sun!Copy !req
898. We can do it!
We can ride it to Tomorrow!Copy !req
899. Run!Copy !req
900. I don't understand.Copy !req
901. The sun was right here.
It was right here.Copy !req
902. We have to go back to the cave.Copy !req
903. Hurry, hurry, hurry.Copy !req
904. Stay together. Let's keep moving.
Move, move, move.Copy !req
905. Everybody, hold my hand.Copy !req
906. Thunk, let's go. Go, go, go.
Let's stay together.Copy !req
907. Grug. What's wrong with you?Copy !req
908. Grug, we'll die if we stay here!Copy !req
909. Grug, listen to me.Copy !req
910. We've got to get back to that cave.Copy !req
911. No more dark.Copy !req
912. No more hiding.Copy !req
913. No more caves.Copy !req
914. What's the point of all this?Copy !req
915. To follow the light.Copy !req
916. I can't change.Copy !req
917. I don't have ideas.Copy !req
918. But I have my strength.Copy !req
919. And right now...Copy !req
920. that's all you need.Copy !req
921. No, we don't know what's over there.

924. I'll take that chance.Copy !req
925. I've wanted to throw you away
ever since I met you.Copy !req
926. That's a joke, right?Copy !req

942. Time to go.Copy !req
943. No.Copy !req
944. I have too much to say to you.Copy !req
945. I need to fix everything,
and I don't have time.Copy !req
946. I can fix it.Copy !req
947. This works good.Copy !req
948. What do you call it?Copy !req
949. I was thinking of calling it a "hug."Copy !req
950. Because it rhymes with "Grug."Copy !req
951. But you can change it if you want.Copy !req
952. No. I like "hug."Copy !req
953. I love you.Copy !req
954. I...Copy !req
955. Dad...Copy !req
956. I'm scared.Copy !req
957. Never be afraid.Copy !req
958. There!Copy !req
959. I see him!Copy !req
960. Hey!Copy !req
961. Hey, I did it!Copy !req
962. Back! Stay back!Copy !req
963. Stay back!Copy !req
964. They're in trouble.Copy !req
965. Hang on, I'm coming!Copy !req
966. How do I get across?Copy !req
967. I have to think. What would Guy do?Copy !req
968. What would Guy do, what would Guy do?Copy !req
969. What would I do?Copy !req
970. Hold this.Copy !req
971. I have...Copy !req
972. an idea!Copy !req
973. Run!Copy !req
974. Yes!Copy !req
975. Douglas?Copy !req
976. Hey, I know that guy.Copy !req
977. Hold on!Copy !req
978. It's not safe here.Copy !req
979. I'll tell her.Copy !req
980. I never got to tell him.Copy !req
981. Eep, if your dad were here,
he would tell you to...Copy !req
982. Get out of the way!Copy !req
983. Wow. You sound just like him.Copy !req
984. Get out of the way!Copy !req
985. Dadda!Copy !req
986. He did it!Copy !req

1002. Turns out I'm a cat person.Copy !req
1003. No.Copy !req
1004. You really need to see this.Copy !req
1005. We should go there.Copy !req
1006. Yes! Coming through!Copy !req
1007. Wait!Copy !req
1008. This is me. My name is Eep.Copy !req
1009. And this is my family, the Croods.Copy !req
1010. If you weren't clued in
by the suntans and pets...Copy !req
1011. we're not exactly cavemen anymore.Copy !req
1012. Let's do it again. I think I blinked.Copy !req
1013. Our world is still plenty harsh and hostile...Copy !req
1014. but now we know the Croods will make it.Copy !req
1015. Because we changed the rules...Copy !req
1016. the ones that kept us in the dark.Copy !req
1017. And because of my dad,
who taught us that anyone can change.Copy !req
1018. Release the baby!Copy !req
1019. Sort of.Copy !req
1020. So, from now on,
we'll stay out here...Copy !req
1021. where we can follow the light.Copy !req
