181. which stated that the only people guaranteed a place in Hell

182. were not murderers, were not rapists,

183. but were those who had died by their own hand.

184. The killer accepted such an idea as beautiful,

185. for he knew that at least in Hell the Quaker would not be there.

186. So he cut his own throat open,

187. and the last thing that the killer ever saw

188. was the old man take out a cut-throat razor of his own,

189. put it to his throat,
