494. All right, I'll say this. What this town owes Will Kane it can never pay with money,

496. He's the best marshal we ever had, maybe the best marshal we'll ever have.

500. And if we want to keep it decent, growing, we've got to think mighty clear here today,

501. and we got to have the courage to do what we think is right, no matter how hard it is.

502. All right. There's gonna be fighting when Kane and Miller meet,

503. and somebody's gonna get hurt, that's for sure.

504. Now, people up north are thinking about this town. Thinking mighty hard.

505. Thinking about sending money down here to put up stores and to build factories.

506. It'd mean a lot to this town, an awful lot.

507. But if they're gonna read about shooting and killing in the streets,

508. what are they gonna think then?

509. I'll tell you. They're gonna think this is just another wide-open town,

510. and everything we worked for will be wiped out.

511. In one day, this town will be set back five years.
