602. Then slowly as he becomes more technical.

605. and so desperately wanted to put on his own body.

606. He tells of this to her,

607. and she looks to the sweater and to his hand.

608. Then when it is all over

609. and that much of the story he knows is told,

610. Barbara is not sure of her own thoughts.

621. The second case is an extremely advanced one,

622. however I'll get to that in a moment.

623. First you must realize that each transvestite the world over

624. has his own particular problem.

625. Each case must be handled individually,

626. according to the person, his past life, and his problem.

627. - And he isn't a hermaphrodite?

628. - No more than he's a pseudo-hermaphrodite.

629. Glen's case was entirely of his mind,

630. brought on by the environment of his early youth.

631. - What about their children, doctor?

632. Will their children become the same way their father is?

633. - No, transvestism is not hereditary.

634. - What makes these men want to wear girls clothes?

635. - Many things, but as I've said before,

636. it usually starts in early childhood

637. from one cause or another.

638. Technically, each case has the same beginning,

639. just a different set of circumstances.

640. - Are any of them actually cured?

641. - Oh yes, many, many of them.

642. Once the source of supply is found, it can be stopped.

643. Unless the patient refuses to cut off that source of supply.

644. - Then the way I get it,

645. this Glen and the character he created,

646. much as an author creates a character in a book,

647. was invented as a love object, to take the place

648. of love he never received in his early youth,

649. through lack of it from his parents.

650. The character was created and dressed

651. and lives the life the author designs for him to live,

652. and dies only when the author wants him to die.

653. - Correct, except that for the character Glenda to die,

654. the elements must be right.

655. But to enlighten you a little further,

656. there's the second story,

657. that of an extremely advanced case.

658. Let's call this person Alan-Anne.

659. Alan had a mother who wanted a little girl.

660. Father didn't care much one way or another.

661. Alan did not enter the competitive sports

662. that the other boys of the school did.

663. However. He was an extremely studious boy

664. and always had above average marks in his subjects.

665. Yet, sports, girls sports, he always was interested in,

666. but he was rejected by the girls and also by the boys.

667. It seems he belonged to neither of them.

668. After school, Alan would go home to find the mother

669. who had always wanted a girl,

670. and the father who didn't care one way or the other.

671. He enjoyed doing

672. the women's work around the house.

673. Alan was becoming a woman and didn't realize it.

674. A woman in mind only, but the mind rules.

675. Then came the fateful year of 1941.

676. Alan was drafted. He was accepted.

677. In the Army, he successfully passed his vigorous training.

678. He did not like, but then there were the weekends

679. for his particular diversions.

680. On his weekend passes, he would go to the nearest town,

681. where he had a suitcase checked in a public locker.

682. In the suitcase, he had the things he loved to wear.

683. That which made his body appear

684. to be what his mind believed it was.

685. Then the day of embarkation came.

686. But wherever Alan went, the suitcase was sure to go.

687. Then as quickly as it had begun, the war was over.

688. Alan came home.

689. Alan had learned all the terms directed at men like himself,

690. but no one had found out his aversion.

749. the shots must continue as long as Alan lives.

750. First the breasts are brought out.

751. The body of the woman within begins to appear now.

752. Then comes the major surgery,

753. the removal of the man and the formation of the woman.

754. But in time, Alan is Anne, a very happy lovely young lady

826. Therefore she gave all her affection,

827. love and attention to her daughter.

828. Glen then decided also to become a daughter.

829. Glen, you can kill this fictitious character of yours

830. any time you wish.

831. For your happy ending, it's the only way.

833. by transferring her qualities to Barbara?

834. - Exactly.

835. But as the author and his character,

836. the elements must be right.
