1. Ookir.

2. The Galaxy is yours.

3. You claim to be our son?

4. Yes. I have come from the distant future

5. to free you from the Phantom Zone.

6. There is much to explain,

7. but you should know that 40 years ago, Rao exploded,

8. taking Krypton with it.

9. But Krypton lives on in the House of Zod,

10. and you, General Dru-Zod,

11. are destined to unite this Galaxy under your rule.

12. Not long ago, the Phantom Zone Projector sought to draw me out.

13. That was me.

14. But you see before you warriors determined to thwart my efforts

15. and your destiny in order to keep you trapped in the living death of the Zone.

16. And you see that, as your loyal son,

17. I have gathered the resources to bring them all low.

18. Even this one.

19. Kal-El, the so called Superman.

20. Last survivor of the House of El.

21. Some of what you say tallies with what we already know.

22. But if you are truly our son, speak the Secret Maxim of the House of Zod.

23. "From the will comes strength.

24. From strength comes the will."

25. He is our son.

26. Of course, he's our son, Dru.

27. He has your eyes.

28. Follow me,

29. and I will bring you to a world under a yellow sun

30. that will grant both of you power unimaginable.

31. And with that power will come the true ascension of the House of Zod.

32. Go back through the Boomtube. Organize the others.

33. Gather every Zone inmate from the other Forts.

34. Bring my Army back through this portal.

35. As you command.

36. Oh, no, you don't.

37. What just— How did she—

38. Damn it.

39. The Lantern's will is strong.

40. My brain-blast barely phased her,

41. and the Mother-Thrall cannot contain her for long.

42. - You should— - My parents are vulnerable here.

43. Get us back to Earth, now!

44. As you wish.

45. But Mother-Thrall can only create one Boomtube at a time.

46. You have your orders!

47. Those are the General's orders—

48. Well, that takes care of that problem.

49. Yeah. I thought we'd have to fight off an entire Kryptonian Army

50. to keep 'em out of that Boomtube.

51. Z, time to go.

52. Wait! We will not flee! We still have people in the Zone!

53. And we'll get them all out once you're secure.

54. Trust me, Father.

55. Where are we?

56. I thought it appropriate to take possession of the Fortress of our enemy,

57. Earth's Superman, Kal-El,

58. son of Lara and Jor-El.

59. He is alive.

60. Well, not for long.

61. Stop.

62. Father, you don't understand. This is Kon-El, your enemy.

63. And look, this world's yellow sun already begins to heal him.

64. We must kill him now, before he recovers his invulnerability.

65. I have turned this Superboy.

66. Now, his loyalty is only to Zod.

67. - But— - My son, do you challenge the word of Zod?

68. No. No, of course not.

69. Calm yourself, husband.

70. All children test their elders.

71. Ah, your touch,

72. your actual physical touch could calm a Devourer.

73. It is wonderful to be real again.

74. It's more than that.

75. I feel better.

76. Stronger than I ever have.

77. That's Earth's yellow sun.

78. After being under Trombus' red sun,

79. I'm not yet at my peak, but I can still do this.

80. That should prevent any interference.

81. Now, please. Step inside these devices.

82. They are solar pods that will hasten your ascendancy to true power.

83. First things first.

84. Reopen the portal to the Zone.

85. We need to get my people out.

86. We need the Army of the House of Zod.

87. Now, let us claim our power.

88. One school-bus portal to the real world coming up—

89. The Boomtube has reopened.

90. So first a Boomtube opens, then it closes, then it opens again?

91. And we come here to get Superboy.

92. He won't go with us.

93. And then he leaves without us?

94. Yeah, I'm really getting to hate the Phantom Zone.

95. Mother of Goat.

96. All right, come on. Job to do.

97. I told you the General would come through.

98. Now, go! Gather his army!

99. Kid Flash?

100. Are you all right?

101. Yeah, fine, big guy. Just feeling a little inhibited,

102. if you know what I mean.

103. Oh, right.

104. Ah-ha!

105. Thanks. BRB. Peow!

106. - Where the hell's he going? - We'll find out soon enough.

107. Miss Martian.

108. Conner is alive.

109. And he's in so much pain.

110. Physical and emotional.

111. Even while we were being tortured by my brother, I could feel it.

112. Clark, he's so lost.

113. He's regressed to his base Cadmus programming.

114. Meaning he's back to thinking he's just a weapon?

115. Meaning he's a loose cannon under enemy control.

116. I need to find him.

117. We need to get back to Earth.

118. Closest planet under a yellow sun.

119. That's where they'd go.

120. We've lost Motherbox.

121. There will be no Boomtube.

122. But perhaps Green Lantern can take us through subspace.

123. Hello, Megan!

124. She will have some help.

125. Look.

126. Damn it.

127. The Boomtube warped my glamour. I couldn't hold it.

128. Then we must hold the door.

129. Move, Soldiers of Zod!

130. You shall not pass!

131. Huh. I bet he's always wanted to say that.

132. I always wanted to say that.

133. Focus. Do not forget that they defeated us before. And handily.

134. For the sake of the galaxy, we cannot let them defeat us again.

135. Forager's warp-field is so crash!

136. I'm running fast, so Bio-Ship can run faster,

137. and now Forager's breaking all modes to get us back to Earth even faster still!

138. Thank you, Bio-Ship.

139. It means worlds to me that you've foregone your retirement for Conner's sake.

140. You really did it.

141. You really saved Superboy!

142. I'm afraid I... we... haven't quite saved him yet.

143. Maybe not, but after spending months believing we'd failed and lost you both,

144. it's a miracle to learn there's at least now hope.

145. But... should we be involving these heroes?

146. We're putting the timestream at real risk.

147. With Zod free, that's the least of our worries.

148. How you doing?

149. Learning there are other survivors from Krypton must be an adjustment.

150. You know, I've wished for this my whole life.

151. But now the very thing I've wished for is putting the entire galaxy at risk.

152. Honestly, I... I have no idea what I'm feeling.

153. Except this.

154. I'm relieved Conner's alive.

155. And right now our focus needs to be on saving him.

156. Kid Flash, have you heard from Zatanna or Nightwing?

157. Last time I saw them, they were looking for you.

158. Well, they never found me.

159. No clue where they are now.

160. It's working. We're like the Spartans—

161. At Thermopylae, yes. A small force can hold a small pass because—

162. Only so many opponents can attack at once.

163. Etativel yawa, Gib Yug!

164. Thanks, Z!

165. Happy to help.

166. Not that this isn't asterous, but someone needs to find out

167. what's at the other end of this Boomtube.

168. Go. We've got this.

169. Okay, then.

170. - Ready to tap in, Roc? - Very.

171. I have never felt like this before.

172. It is akin to miraculous.

173. No!

174. Mother? Father?

175. We seem to be fine, my son.

176. The explosion could not damage us.

177. Our assailant?

178. Dead.

179. My love?

180. Can you not feel it?

181. So much power yet so much more to gain.

182. Ah! The process was interrupted before its peak!

183. Patience, Mother.

184. When the sun rises—

185. After 40 years in the Phantom Zone, do not speak to me of patience!

186. I have endured helplessness for too long.

187. In any just universe, the true power I've tasted here would be mine by right!

188. By right, right now!

189. - Ursa! - Mother!

190. Seof, hcnup hcae rehto!

191. Kryptonians, build your rage!

192. Build your rage!

193. Build your rage!

194. You're not the only ones getting angry here!

195. I should hope not.

196. Now, Soldiers of Zod, still your hearts, as the General taught you!

197. What the—

198. - What is that thing? - No idea.

199. Whatever it is, at least it's blocking the entrance.

200. You cannot win, Earthers.

201. For you do not understand the ways of the Zone.

202. Of course! Within the Boomtube, the old rules still apply!

203. No!

204. I was sentenced to five years! I've been here over 40!

205. It isn't right!

206. Our offer still stands. We will consider parole.

207. The time for patience has passed!

208. What sorcery is this?

209. Sorcery, indeed, Father.

210. This is the Eye of Ekron,

211. one of the most powerful mystic weapons of the 31st century,

212. wielded in that era by a woman known as the Emerald Empress.

213. And this Eye has chosen me?

214. Who better?

215. Who could possibly be more worthy?

216. No one but Ursa Zod, the new Emerald Empress.

217. Still, we cannot allow ourselves to be distracted, even by this good fortune.

218. It's not hard to guess that this one's four companions

219. are the reason our people haven't come through the Boomtube.

220. Leave that to me.

221. Beware, Lor-Zod,

222. Boomtubes were not designed to remain open forever.

223. Maintain control of that thing and keep it open.

224. It's not about control, it's about physics.

225. You won't have much time.

226. I Love that Big Blue Marble!

227. Searching for Boomtube spikes.

228. Here, a substantial signal.

229. What is that place?

230. My Fortress of Solitude.

231. The enemy has invaded your sanctum?

232. Maybe don't rub it in.

233. The Fortress has external sensors.

234. When we get close, it will alert whomever's inside.

235. Bio-Ship has already interfaced with the Fortress' Kryptonian systems.

236. They'll never see us coming.

237. We make our stand here, where our weapons and limbs are solid.

238. Incoming, on our six!

239. There. That should stop traffic both ways.

240. Stop, fools! You're only strengthening her field!

241. Okay, his heat vision is going to become a problem very soon.

242. What are you trying to tell me?

243. It is as I feared.

244. The Mother-Thrall can no longer maintain the Boomtube.

245. It's losing cohesion.

246. Lor! Time is up!

247. The Boomtube is collapsing!

248. Uh, what happens if we're inside of a Boomtube when it collapses?

249. I'm betting we don't want to find out.

250. The portal fails! Move!

251. Get us out of here, Z.

252. Mutrap a latrop!

253. Move!

254. - Rocket— - Go! I'm right behind you!

255. Rocket.

256. Prepare to engage.

257. It's not possible!

258. Listen—

259. I knew it.

260. I've killed her.

261. In truth, I'd prefer not to fight you.

262. Though you are a son of El,

263. you are also a son of Krypton,

264. which makes you a rare commodity.

265. Kneel before Zod, Kal-El,

266. and together we can turn this Earth

267. into a paradise of strength for what remains of our people.

268. Pass.

269. As you wish.

270. Well...

271. it seems you're on your knees before me, after all.

272. Kon-El...

273. Conner, help me.

274. - Hold your place, boy. - It's all right.

275. - I can't help him. - Why?

276. Because you're already dead.

277. Do you see, Father, they are House of El.

278. That one's your enemy, and this one doesn't know his own mind.

279. We must kill them both.

280. No.

281. I have a better idea.

282. People of Earth, I am General Zod.

283. And on the basis of my will and my strength,

284. I lay claim to this world in the name of Krypton and the House of Zod.

285. Do not look for succor from terrestrial forces.

286. Here are your greatest heroes,

287. Superman and Superboy,

288. both Sons of Krypton, who betrayed their homeworld.

289. One has already fallen,

290. the other has wisely chosen to serve...

291. at my side.

292. - Is that really Superboy? - I thought he was dead.

293. What's wrong with Superman?

294. Watch, as I order this loyal follower to slay his only brother.

295. You are the weapon created to slay the Superman, should he turn from the light.

296. Prove your loyalty, my son.

297. Prove you are loyal to the House of Zod.

298. Kal-El has turned away from the light of Krypton.

299. Finish the work you started.

300. We have nothing here.

301. Nothing but each other.

302. It helps to stay together.

303. Stay and be a part of what the House of Zod builds.

304. The choice is yours.

305. That's what family does.

306. Come on, my boy. One more jump.

307. Whom do you serve?

308. I serve the House of Zod.

309. Conner, stop!

310. Prove it!

311. On my signal...

312. at my command.

313. And once this is done, Earthers,

314. you will see that all must kneel before Zod.
