8. Get Sarah Atwood out here.Copy !req
9. It's time we took
the gloves off.Copy !req
10. Is this a good thing
or a bad thing?Copy !req
11. It's a good thing for
the land but I don't seeCopy !req
12. how it's good for us.Copy !req
13. Supreme Court Justice:
Congratulations.Copy !req
14. My God. Four years

What's your emergency?Copy !req
33. We had a wreck.
My mother's having a baby.Copy !req
34. We need an ambulance.Copy !req
35. Is anyone hurt?Copy !req
36. Everybody's hurt.
We need an ambulance.Copy !req
37. Do you know where you are?Copy !req
38. We're on the road to Billings.Copy !req
39. I don't know the road.Copy !req
40. I can send you a pin.Copy !req
41. I'll give you a number.Copy !req
42. Let me know when
you're ready...Copy !req
43. I'm ready.Copy !req
44. 406-412-0911.Copy !req
45. - I sent it.
- Good.Copy !req
46. What's your name?Copy !req
47. Tate Dutton.Copy !req
48. There is already an
ambulance en route, Tate.Copy !req
49. Mom!Copy !req
50. Tell them to hurry!Copy !req
51. Dad?Copy !req
52. I'm coming, buddy.Copy !req
53. She gonna be okay?Copy !req
54. She's a strong woman, son.Copy !req
55. That's not what I asked.Copy !req
56. We're all gonna be okay.Copy !req
57. It's just... gonna take time.Copy !req
58. You lost a brother.
I lost a son.Copy !req
59. But she lost more.Copy !req
60. He was a... part of her,
so she lost a part of herself.Copy !req
61. If that makes sense.Copy !req
62. Yeah.Copy !req
63. Are you gonna try again?Copy !req
64. For another one?Copy !req
65. I don't know.Copy !req
66. I think you should.Copy !req
67. I liked having a brother.Copy !req
68. I want you to go
saddle up Mister Dutton's horse.Copy !req
69. Is he here?Copy !req
70. No, but we need to
keep him legged up.Copy !req
71. Who's gonna ride him?Copy !req
72. You are.Copy !req
73. - I am?
- That's right.Copy !req
74. I don't have
all fucking day, let's go.Copy !req
75. Go grab him.Copy !req
76. God didn't add extra daylight
to Tuesday, Carter.Copy !req
77. Now, let's go, man.Copy !req
78. Go get his fucking saddle.
Let's move this along.Copy !req
79. I think this fucker tripped
this morning and hit his head.Copy !req
80. Let's go!Copy !req
81. Fuck this, you can take
care of this shit.Copy !req
82. I'm not dealing
with it anymore.Copy !req
83. We'll catch up.Copy !req
84. Don't do it fast,
do it right, now.Copy !req
85. Back cinch.Copy !req
86. Right.Copy !req
87. You know, kid, you only do
this fifteen times a day.Copy !req
88. I know,
I just don't do it for myself.Copy !req
89. Uh, right.
What else?Copy !req
90. Where's your rope?Copy !req
91. What else?Copy !req
92. Right, fuck hat.Copy !req
93. Chaps if you got 'em.Copy !req
94. All right.Copy !req
95. Hell, I think those
used to be mine.Copy !req
96. All right, what else?Copy !req
97. We ain't got time
for what else.Copy !req
98. Swing on up there, cowboy.Copy !req
99. All right, now we play
catch up. Come on.Copy !req
100. This is unbelievable.Copy !req
101. Why do I have all these
damn meetings in one day?Copy !req
102. Because tomorrow
you're in Butte,Copy !req
103. and then Thursday you speak
in Missoula.Copy !req
104. Why am I in Butte?Copy !req
105. You're speaking at
White Song ElementaryCopy !req
106. about your new
education initiative.Copy !req
107. What's my new
education initiative?Copy !req
108. Uh, it's uh...Copy !req
109. "To further education
with hands-on learningCopy !req
110. through the Dalton-Wiggins
Technical and Trade Academy."Copy !req
111. Never heard of it.Copy !req
112. It's a trade school.Copy !req
113. Run by the state?Copy !req
114. No, it's a private
technical college.Copy !req
115. Answer me this, Clara.Copy !req
116. Who exactly is
my Chief of Staff?Copy !req
117. The party's nominating
committee chose Jim Roberts.Copy !req
118. Is Jim Roberts
in the building?Copy !req
119. He's in his office.Copy !req
120. Could you bring him
to me, please?Copy !req
121. Mm-hm.Copy !req
122. I warned you,
if you don't pick 'emCopy !req
123. - they will pick them for you.
- Mm.Copy !req
124. Governor, it's an honor.Copy !req
125. Tell me, which one is your
buddy, Dalton or Wiggins?Copy !req
126. Uh—Copy !req
127. The beneficiaries
of the education initiativeCopy !req
128. that I'm unaware
that I support.Copy !req
129. The education initiative—Copy !req
130. Jim, I'd like to introduce
you to my daughter, Beth.Copy !req
131. Pleasure to meet you.Copy !req
132. She's my new Chief of Staff.
Get out of my office.Copy !req
133. Now, Jim.
- If I could just—Copy !req
134. You can't.
Get the fuck out of my office.Copy !req
135. Dad, I, uh...Copy !req
136. I don't have time
to follow you around the state.Copy !req
137. You got me into this, sweetheart,Copy !req
138. you're going to
get me through it, now.Copy !req
139. Hand her that satchel.Copy !req
140. The football.
We call it the football.Copy !req
141. All right, Clara.
The football.Copy !req
142. Now hand her the football.Copy !req
143. Let's start with this schedule.Copy !req
144. Um, well...Copy !req
145. in 15 minutes
you have a meetingCopy !req
146. with the
Montana Trade Alliance.Copy !req
147. What's that?Copy !req
148. Their focus is enhancing
trade between foreign nations.Copy !req
149. What does that have
to do with me?Copy !req
150. It's politics, John.Copy !req
151. You're going to shake
a lot of hands,Copy !req
152. you're gonna
take a lot of photos.Copy !req
153. It amounts to
absolutely nothing,Copy !req
154. but it does maintain
the good willCopy !req
155. with the people
that elected you.Copy !req
156. I'm not seeking good will.Copy !req
157. I'm seeking the end of
the airport on my land.Copy !req
158. Well, as Governor,
you can cancel fundingCopy !req
159. and tax rebates for the build.Copy !req
160. They'll file an emergency
injunction to block the order.Copy !req
161. A judge will uphold
your decision,Copy !req
162. and Market Equities
will just go get a loanCopy !req
163. from Blackstone or Goldmans, and
continue to keep on building.Copy !req
164. Then cancel the lease.Copy !req
165. You can't cancel the lease.Copy !req
166. They will sue you and win.Copy !req
167. The lease has
progress thresholds.Copy !req
168. That build site
cannot lay dormant.Copy !req
169. They have a one year
grace built into the lease.Copy !req
170. I'm not waiting a year.Copy !req
171. Revoke the funding.Copy !req
172. Order an environmental review
and cancel the lease.Copy !req
173. They will sue you.
And I mean you.Copy !req
174. Halting the build
will create real damages.Copy !req
175. And canceling the lease, that's
how they end up with your ranch.Copy !req
176. He's right, John.Copy !req
177. That land is zoned
agricultural, right?Copy !req
178. Yeah.Copy !req
179. So how are they building
an airport and condosCopy !req
180. on land that is agricultural?Copy !req
181. The application
has already been submitted.Copy !req
182. It's a formality.Copy !req
183. The Commissioners are gonna
sit on it as longCopy !req
184. as they get free dinners
and campaign contributions.Copy !req
185. Right, so, it's
not yet approved.Copy !req
186. Not yet.Copy !req
187. Surely there is some law
that prevents the stateCopy !req
188. from funding projects that are
not, you know, properly zoned?Copy !req
189. Yes, Beth, there is,Copy !req
190. and that statute is waived
by this office all the time.Copy !req
191. Well, not this time.Copy !req
192. Clara, will you set a drink
for the Governor and myself,Copy !req
193. and the Park County
Commissioners?Copy !req
194. - Just Ronnie and Kyle.
- For what day?Copy !req
195. Today.Copy !req
196. The Governor
has a dinner tonight withCopy !req
197. the Montana Clean
River Alliance—Copy !req
198. For fuck's sakes, Clara,Copy !req
199. if it has the word "alliance"
in the name, cancel it.Copy !req
200. 00 P.M. Deerfield Club.Copy !req
201. And Clara, you're going to
want to pack a bag.Copy !req
202. We're going to take
this party south.Copy !req
203. I think our work is done here.Copy !req
204. Not yet.Copy !req
205. I want it on my desk in an hour.Copy !req
206. Can we talk about this,
just you and me?Copy !req
207. Just you and him?Copy !req
208. How many one-on-one
conversationsCopy !req
209. do you want me having?Copy !req
210. Just go do your fucking job.Copy !req
211. - Okay.
- Good.Copy !req
212. See you in a bit.Copy !req
213. Clara, can I take
a peek at his schedule?Copy !req
214. Okay, I'll absorb as many
of these as I can.Copy !req
215. John, the Governor's office
is a game of favors.Copy !req
216. You start by giving them,
then you can ask for them.Copy !req
217. When the State committee
finds out thatCopy !req
218. you are not in this
for the long haul,Copy !req
219. everyone that supported you will
be looking for a parachute.Copy !req
220. Market Equities will
not just go away.Copy !req
221. This will be a fight.
A big one.Copy !req
222. When they realize that all
they have to doCopy !req
223. is wait four years,
then they'll just wait.Copy !req
224. You need to change laws if you
want them to never come back.Copy !req
225. To change laws,
you need favors.Copy !req
226. You should've never
let them in, Lynelle.Copy !req
227. I didn't grant
them the lease, John.Copy !req
228. Jamie did, and he was
really wise to do so.Copy !req
229. The land Board is made
up of five officers:Copy !req
230. the Governor,
the Attorney General,Copy !req
231. the Secretary of State,
the Auditor,Copy !req
232. and the public
interests Superintendent.Copy !req
233. Now who do you think funded the
campaigns for the other three?Copy !req
234. If it had gone
before the land committee,Copy !req
235. the state would own your land.Copy !req
236. That's their next moveCopy !req
237. when you cancel the lease,
by the way.Copy !req
238. You could be a
really good leader, John,Copy !req
239. but you're a shitty politicianCopy !req
240. because you won't
play the game.Copy !req
241. But if you don't play the game,
the game plays you.Copy !req
242. I'm here for another month.Copy !req
243. Use me.Copy !req
244. That's a refreshing thought.Copy !req
245. It's not what I meant.Copy !req
246. Hey.Copy !req
247. Hey!Copy !req
248. That's how you
slam a door, Jamie.Copy !req
249. Never contradict him again.Copy !req
250. When he says jump you
don't ask how high,Copy !req
251. you just start
fucking hopping.Copy !req
252. I am trying to protect him
and the ranch.Copy !req
253. This isn't some sleazy developer
from Beverly Hills,Copy !req
254. this is a multinational firm
that has investedCopy !req
255. billions of dollars,Copy !req
256. and leveraged billions more
on the back of this development.Copy !req
257. They will fight you.
They will fight you dirty.Copy !req
258. Is there any other way?Copy !req
259. I want to believe
that you're advisingCopy !req
260. what's best for
the family, I do.Copy !req
261. but then I remember:
this isn't your family.Copy !req
262. And he's not your father.Copy !req
263. And we both know how
you treated your own father.Copy !req
264. Just stop thinking
that you have a chanceCopy !req
265. to earn redemption, Jamie.
You don't.Copy !req
266. Just do as you're fucking toldCopy !req
267. until these fuckers tuck
tail back to New York.Copy !req
268. Then I will just quietly
put you out to pasture.Copy !req
269. Your political career was overCopy !req
270. the moment you chose
your father over mine.Copy !req
271. You're in my prison now.Copy !req
272. And if you ever forget it...Copy !req
273. I'll put you in a real one.Copy !req
274. I, uh, heard
you sold your ranch.Copy !req
275. I want you home
at the weekends.Copy !req
276. Where I can keep an eye on ya.Copy !req
277. Say "Yes, ma'am."Copy !req
278. Yes, ma'am.Copy !req
279. Good boy.Copy !req
280. What are you doing here?Copy !req
281. Just here.
In case you need something.Copy !req
282. We need to have a funeral.Copy !req
283. Just us.Copy !req
284. I don't need fifty people
to tell me how sorry they are.Copy !req
285. I should've been here.Copy !req
286. I should've
driven you myself.Copy !req
287. We're not gonna do that.Copy !req
288. No "should've."Copy !req
289. I could "should"
myself to death.Copy !req
290. But I won't. And I won't
let you do it either.Copy !req
291. I'd like to
bury him at the ranch.Copy !req
292. That way we can
always visit him.Copy !req
293. Ask your father.Copy !req
294. His answer will be yes.
You know that.Copy !req
295. Ask anyway.Copy !req
296. I'll do it.Copy !req
297. When you said you saw
the end of us...Copy !req
298. is this what you saw?Copy !req
299. No, baby.Copy !req
300. I never saw this coming.Copy !req
301. And this won't
be the end of us.Copy !req
302. What will?Copy !req
303. I would have to choose
the end of us.Copy !req
304. And I will never choose that.Copy !req
305. Tate said he wants
us to try again.Copy !req
306. Said he wants a brother.Copy !req
307. I really
wanted him to have one.Copy !req
308. Hey, come here.Copy !req
309. Hey!Copy !req
310. Hey!Copy !req
311. Lloyd!Copy !req
312. Shit. Wolves.Copy !req
313. Yep.Copy !req
314. It's odd they'd
go after the mama, though.Copy !req
315. She was probably
protecting her calf.Copy !req
316. I don't think
wolves killed it.Copy !req
317. You got wolf tracks
all around.Copy !req
318. Ate the stomach
and the ass out.Copy !req
319. That's what wolves do.Copy !req
320. Not saying they didn't
eat it,Copy !req
321. I'm saying they didn't kill it.Copy !req
322. No bites on the hocks.Copy !req
323. Wolves found her down...Copy !req
324. Don't matter,
they got the taste of beef.Copy !req
325. Can you get us
depredation tags?Copy !req
326. Let me call Kayce, let's
get a state hunter out here.Copy !req
327. We ain't going to KayceCopy !req
328. with all the shit
he's dealing with.Copy !req
329. And we don't need state hunters
out here three daysCopy !req
330. into Mister Dutton's term.Copy !req
331. Just gets us tags and
we'll deal with it ourselves.Copy !req
332. Lloyd, let's start moving this
herd back toward the barn.Copy !req
333. Hey, got a stray
over here, boys.Copy !req
334. Get that calf back
to the barn!Copy !req
335. Boys, I want you to get
after those fucking wolves.Copy !req
336. Hey, little fella.
You get lost?Copy !req
337. How you doing?Copy !req
338. Got the legs.Copy !req
339. You from here?Copy !req
340. Nobody's from here.Copy !req
341. Is there an
event this weekend?Copy !req
342. Just another Tuesday.Copy !req
343. Press conference
starts at three o'clock.Copy !req
344. I can put it on
the TVs down here.Copy !req
345. We don't want him
on TVs down here.Copy !req
346. Ah. Great.Copy !req
347. You're aware of
the press conference?Copy !req
348. Going to watch it now.Copy !req
349. Great.
We'll watch with you.Copy !req
350. Right this way.Copy !req
351. If you're gonna look,
be man enough to stare.Copy !req
352. Not there yet, I guess.Copy !req
353. I don't mind, really.Copy !req
354. Is this a test?Copy !req
355. It's an opportunity.
You missed it.Copy !req
356. - It's through here?
- Uhh, yes.Copy !req
357. Yes, ma'am.Copy !req
358. Ah, just in time.Copy !req
359. Dutton called
a press conference.Copy !req
360. He's going
to pull our funding.Copy !req
361. That's been announced?Copy !req
362. It was his campaign slogan.Copy !req
363. Let me see.Copy !req
364. Good.Copy !req
365. As the State's attorney,
I must inform youCopy !req
366. that by signing this orderCopy !req
367. you are signing
a declaration of war.Copy !req
368. Really?Copy !req
369. As we speak,
they are raping the landCopy !req
370. our family has bled
into for over a century.Copy !req
371. We're already at war.Copy !req
372. Good afternoon.Copy !req
373. Freedom.Copy !req
374. Been thinking a lot
about that lately.Copy !req
375. The word, what it means.Copy !req
376. The dictionary
thinks that it meansCopy !req
377. "The power or
right to think, speak, or actCopy !req
378. as one wants without
hindrance or restraint."Copy !req
379. As Governor of this State, I am
sworn to protect that right.Copy !req
380. Building a city in the middle
of our most pristine wildernessCopy !req
381. strips you of that freedom.Copy !req
382. It eliminates your
freedom to breathe clean airCopy !req
383. and drink clean water.Copy !req
384. It strains the ability
of our schools,Copy !req
385. our hospitals and our police.Copy !req
386. That requires an
increase in our taxesCopy !req
387. which in turns
strains our families,Copy !req
388. forcing you to decide
if you can even affordCopy !req
389. to live in a place
that you call home.Copy !req
390. That's not progress
in my mind.Copy !req
391. That's an invasion.Copy !req
392. And the invasion is over.Copy !req
393. Today, I am signing an
Executive orderCopy !req
394. that ceases all
state funding forCopy !req
395. the Paradise Valley
development project,Copy !req
396. the Airport
development project,Copy !req
397. and the paradise
Valley Ski Resort.Copy !req
398. All state permits are revoked.Copy !req
399. Thank you for your time today.Copy !req
400. Enjoy the rest of it.Copy !req
401. There'll be
no questions today.Copy !req
402. And we're right back
where we started.Copy !req
403. We're gonna have to
watch out for that one.Copy !req
404. Chairman, you can't ever
stop watching that one.Copy !req
405. Let's get a cease
and desistCopy !req
406. before a judge
by end of day tomorrow.Copy !req
407. File suit against the state
for breach of contract,Copy !req
408. and negotiating in bad faith,Copy !req
409. and anything else
you can think of.Copy !req
410. Who is that?Copy !req
411. That's Jamie Dutton.
Attorney General.Copy !req
412. That's the Governor's son?Copy !req
413. Mm-hmm.Copy !req
414. This is like doing
business in Utah.Copy !req
415. In Utah,
they want to do business.Copy !req
416. Here...Copy !req
417. Here, they want
the business to go away.Copy !req
418. Son doesn't
look up to this fight.Copy !req
419. Think I'm gonna start with him.Copy !req
420. I love it when she
gets really mad.Copy !req
421. It means I'm going to
make a lot of money.Copy !req
422. Good afternoon, Miss Dutton.Copy !req
423. Mrs.
I'm an honest woman now.Copy !req
424. - Beautiful car.
- Doesn't suck.Copy !req
425. Bet the payments are steep.Copy !req
426. You know, I've learned that
the lease payments haveCopy !req
427. an inverse relationship to
the length of my skirt.Copy !req
428. I don't know what that means.Copy !req
429. It means the payments aren't
that steep, buddy.Copy !req
430. Sh-sh-sh-sh...Copy !req
431. Getting the crash course
in cowboy today, kid.Copy !req
432. Yeah. Hope I get another
one tomorrow.Copy !req
433. You get one every day.Copy !req
434. Now get around that pair
and push 'em up.Copy !req
435. Holy shit!Copy !req
436. Damn it, kid.
You all right?Copy !req
437. What happened?Copy !req
438. How's your arm?Copy !req
439. - It's nothing.
- Raise it, then.Copy !req
440. Then it ain't nothing.Copy !req
441. What happened?Copy !req
442. Horse fell, I think he
stepped in a hole. I think.Copy !req
443. I'm sorry.
I didn't see the hole.Copy !req
444. You need to keep one eye
on the cowCopy !req
445. and the other one on the ground.Copy !req
446. Is the horse gonna be okay?Copy !req
447. No, he ain't.Copy !req
448. Easy.Copy !req
449. You're gonna shoot him?Copy !req
450. That leg'll never heal.Copy !req
451. I don't need him suffering.Copy !req
452. Go on, get back to work.
Get back to work.Copy !req
453. I'm sorry.Copy !req
454. I bet you are.Copy !req
455. I'm sorry, too.Copy !req
456. Now take that bridle
and that saddle,Copy !req
457. and walk it back
to the barn.Copy !req
458. Lloyd, help him out.Copy !req
459. One, two, three.Copy !req
460. - Hey, Glade?
- Yeah.Copy !req
461. Would you
get me another?Copy !req
462. Yeah.Copy !req
463. There you go.Copy !req
464. God bless you.Copy !req
465. - Can I get a beer?
- What do you want?Copy !req
466. Let me get a Trout Slayer.Copy !req
467. Coming up.Copy !req
468. Care for a Trout Slayer?Copy !req
469. That what you been doing,
slayin' trout?Copy !req
470. Mountain biking, actually.Copy !req
471. I'm not much of a fisherman.Copy !req
472. You ride bikes?Copy !req
473. Not since I was seven.Copy !req
474. Didn't expect to see
a dress like that in Montana.Copy !req
475. Yeah, well, I'm working.Copy !req
476. - Really?
- Mm-hmm.Copy !req
477. What kind of work?Copy !req
478. Buddy, this is your
one chance to leave me aloneCopy !req
479. with your self esteem intact.Copy !req
480. Give me your best shot.Copy !req
481. You're a professor.
Somewhere fancy.Copy !req
482. Northwestern.Copy !req
483. You've got a couple of
grown kids,Copy !req
484. and once they left the house
your wife divorced youCopy !req
485. so fast she left
fucking skid marks,Copy !req
486. but how nice for you, huh?Copy !req
487. Let me guess:
world went a little wacko,Copy !req
488. no longer cool
to boink the co-eds,Copy !req
489. so you decided fuck this city.Copy !req
490. Got a nice
little place in Bozeman,Copy !req
491. 'cause it's your favorite
place to ski.Copy !req
492. Now you teach classes on
Zoom from the living roomCopy !req
493. of your creekside cabinCopy !req
494. And you lecture about inequity
and the concentration of wealthCopy !req
495. that how it's decimating
the middle classCopy !req
496. all while you draw your six
figure salaryCopy !req
497. and finance your dream home
with a loan from the universityCopy !req
498. that's 275 basis points below
the loans that your studentsCopy !req
499. need to take out to listen
to this bullshit.Copy !req
500. And my guess, if I had to guessCopy !req
501. is that you paid over
asking priceCopy !req
502. for it because it's fucking
monopoly money to you, isn't it?Copy !req
503. So you run up
house prices hereCopy !req
504. and you fuck the middle classes
in two states.Copy !req
505. Bravo, you fucking hypocrite.Copy !req
506. Fuck you.Copy !req
507. Not for all the tea
in China, pencil dick.Copy !req
508. Fuckin' love this bar.Copy !req
509. Your guests have arrived.Copy !req
510. Thanks, Glade.Copy !req
511. Back to work.Copy !req
512. They're right behind you.Copy !req
513. John, what the hell was
that press conference?Copy !req
514. Governor Perry and
your son pushed this thingCopy !req
515. down our throat
and now you shut it down?Copy !req
516. Well, you really want 30,000
people from the Bay AreaCopy !req
517. running up and down
highway 89, Ronnie?Copy !req
518. Putting up a Starbucks
where your fly shop is?Copy !req
519. We're well past want, John.Copy !req
520. Do you understand
the tax revenueCopy !req
521. that you just took
from this county?Copy !req
522. The hotel tax alone
is a hundred million.Copy !req
523. Not to mention the airport tax,
the car rental tax.Copy !req
524. Where are you going to spend
all that money, Kyle?Copy !req
525. Hm? You're going to have
to double the sizeCopy !req
526. of the Sheriff's department,
emergency services.Copy !req
527. Where do you treat the sewage
six thousand homes create?Copy !req
528. Is there a treatment plant
in the valleyCopy !req
529. that I don't know about?Copy !req
530. I will increase your
tax revenueCopy !req
531. without adding one structure
to this valley, all right?Copy !req
532. Without one new road.Copy !req
533. Doubling property tax
on non-residents?Copy !req
534. It'll never work.
They'll just become residents.Copy !req
535. No, they won't.Copy !req
536. If they could've
become residents,Copy !req
537. they would have by now.Copy !req
538. New York and California,
they do not give upCopy !req
539. 16 percent that easy.Copy !req
540. You didn't need our permission
to issue an executive order.Copy !req
541. But you do need something.Copy !req
542. Deny their request to rezone.Copy !req
543. Without the state's support,
there's no reason to give it.Copy !req
544. A lot of people in this valley
support that airport, John.Copy !req
545. A lot of people from
out of state support it.Copy !req
546. People with no vote.Copy !req
547. They may not have a vote,
but they have money.Copy !req
548. And they give it to the people
who support their agendas.Copy !req
549. Take a drive down Main Street
in Bozeman, Kyle.Copy !req
550. That's what they'll do
to this place and worse.Copy !req
551. Our terms are up in
two years, John.Copy !req
552. This wound will still
be fresh in two years.Copy !req
553. Hell, the state will still be
in litigation in two years.Copy !req
554. There will be
no litigation, Ronnie.Copy !req
555. And you'll both
still be in office.Copy !req
556. When's the last time
a governor gave you his word?Copy !req
557. Never.Copy !req
558. Well, you have mine.Copy !req
559. Andy will vote to approve,
no matter what we do.Copy !req
560. That's why Andy
is not sitting here.Copy !req
561. I only need two votes.Copy !req
562. Do I have them?Copy !req
563. Once you deny their
re-zoning request,Copy !req
564. I'm revoking their lease
on our land.Copy !req
565. I'm placing the ranch in
a conservation easement.Copy !req
566. There'll be nothing to litigate.Copy !req
567. Should've just told me
that from the beginning.Copy !req
568. We'll issue the denial tomorrow.Copy !req
569. Dad...Copy !req
570. Yeah?Copy !req
571. If you put the land
in a conservation easement,Copy !req
572. we have no moves.Copy !req
573. We can't sell off a piece
to cover losses or taxes.Copy !req
574. We can't ever develop it,
and neither can anyone else.Copy !req
575. Exactly.Copy !req
576. Dad, we could lose
the whole thing.Copy !req
577. But it'll be whole, honey.
It'll be whole.Copy !req
578. And that matters more than
any name on a deed.Copy !req
579. We'll worry about
who runs things when...Copy !req
580. when that's a worry.Copy !req
581. Wasn't expecting you.Copy !req
582. I wish you would have called,Copy !req
583. I would have had
supper prepared.Copy !req
584. Yeah.
I'll get by with a sandwich.Copy !req
585. How's the herd?Copy !req
586. Wolves got
into the pairs in pasture nine.Copy !req
587. So I moved 'em to the barn.Copy !req
588. Got Ryan and Colby
out there hunting them now.Copy !req
589. You need depredation tags.Copy !req
590. Yeah, we got 'em.Copy !req
591. Um, the boy, he got
in an accident.Copy !req
592. It was on your horse.Copy !req
593. Is the boy okay?Copy !req
594. Broke his arm.
He'll survive.Copy !req
595. But... the horse
wasn't as lucky.Copy !req
596. He stepped in a badger hole
and shattered his leg,Copy !req
597. so... I had to put him down.Copy !req
598. I'm sorry, sir,
it's my fault.Copy !req
599. Riding is what the
horse is for, Rip.Copy !req
600. Could've stepped in a badger
hole turned out just as easy.Copy !req
601. Thought y'all were in Helena.Copy !req
602. I manipulated the wheels of
government so I could see you.Copy !req
603. How long you here for?Copy !req
604. We leave in the morning.Copy !req
605. Gotta fill a week's worth
of loving into eight hours.Copy !req
606. Hope you weren't
planning on sleeping.Copy !req
607. Got 'em.Copy !req
608. Fire on three, two, one.Copy !req
609. Three, two, one.Copy !req
610. Safe.Copy !req
611. Oh, fuck.Copy !req
612. Uh, these wolves
are from the park.Copy !req
613. Fuck!Copy !req
614. What do we do?Copy !req
615. If those radio collars are
motionless for twelve hoursCopy !req
616. they send out
a distress signal,Copy !req
617. then there's 15 Game Wardens
standing in this fieldCopy !req
618. in the morning
and you and ICopy !req
619. are on the fucking
news tomorrow night.Copy !req
620. So what do we do?Copy !req
621. We gotta get these collars offCopy !req
622. and keep them moving
until I figure this out.Copy !req
623. So what you wanna do is jog
them around in a fucking circle?Copy !req
624. These wolves have
fucking Facebook pages.Copy !req
625. People walk around in t-shirts
with their pictures on them.Copy !req
626. People find out that
we killed them,Copy !req
627. on the Governor's ranch?Copy !req
628. We have tags.
It's legal.Copy !req
629. Son of a bitch.Copy !req
630. It's over here, sir.Copy !req
631. There's another dead elk over
there somewhere, too.Copy !req
632. There's something
in the water.Copy !req
633. Let's go.Copy !req
634. Come on, Lloyd!Copy !req
635. Put me down.Copy !req
636. What the hell do you think
you're doing?Copy !req
637. What are you spraying it with?Copy !req
638. - Paraquat for the weeds.
- What?Copy !req
639. Some kind of pyrethroid
for mosquitos.Copy !req
640. That's my ranch down there.Copy !req
641. Whatever you're spraying
it with it's in the creek nowCopy !req
642. and it's killing my cattle.Copy !req
643. It's killing everything.Copy !req
644. I'm licensed to spray it.
These are EPA approved.Copy !req
645. I don't give a shit
who approved it.Copy !req
646. It's killing my cattle.Copy !req
647. Take it up with the EPA.Copy !req
648. Phone company says put in a
cell tower, that's what we do...Copy !req
649. I can't get a bulldozer up here.Copy !req
650. It's the top of a mountain.Copy !req
651. This is the only way
to clear it.Copy !req
652. EPA says it's harmless.Copy !req
653. It's killing my cattle.Copy !req
654. Take it up with
the phone company.Copy !req
655. You're cattle aren't my problem.Copy !req
656. Got a card?Copy !req
657. Why am I not surprised?Copy !req
658. Hey.Copy !req
659. All right, let's go.Copy !req
660. Woo!Copy !req
661. What the fuck?Copy !req
662. Hello?Copy !req
663. Hey!Copy !req
664. Fuck.Copy !req
665. You still awake?Copy !req
666. Yeah.Copy !req
667. You should be plum wore out.Copy !req
668. Mm. Just thinking.Copy !req
669. Good thoughts?Copy !req
670. No, not really.Copy !req
671. Yeah?Copy !req
672. Why in the hell did you shoot
the ones with the collars?Copy !req
673. We were using thermal.
We couldn't see the collars.Copy !req
674. Is that right?Copy !req
675. Well, start taking
the collars off.Copy !req
676. We're taking them with us.Copy !req
677. These things record every
step these wolves make,Copy !req
678. So we're gonna have to
move like a wolf pack.Copy !req
679. I want you to take one
and put it in your saddle bagCopy !req
680. and I want you to take the other
and put it in front of youCopy !req
681. while you ride.
- Where we going?Copy !req
682. Back in the park.Copy !req
683. That's good.Copy !req
684. No, no, no, Ryan.
Not that tight.Copy !req
685. They need to come
off somewhere.Copy !req
686. That's good.Copy !req
687. Listen up, you don't tell
a fucking soul. Ever.Copy !req
688. This never happened.Copy !req
689. Who am I gonna tell?Copy !req
690. That could put me in jail
for a fucking decade.Copy !req
691. Ryan, next time don't
shoot the onesCopy !req
692. with the GPS beacons on them.Copy !req
693. - Morning.
- Morning.Copy !req
694. I've never seen
anything like it.Copy !req
695. Well, there
isn't anything like it.Copy !req
696. Where does it end?Copy !req
697. Well...Copy !req
698. Well, you can't...Copy !req
699. You can't see that from here.Copy !req
700. Can't imagine what it takes
to maintain this place.Copy !req
701. Takes everything, Clara.Copy !req
702. It takes everything
we've got.Copy !req
703. Come on.Copy !req
704. Next time on an
all-new Yellowstone.Copy !req
705. Find a way
to ruin this family.Copy !req
706. Turn her loose.Copy !req
707. My vision told me I'd have
to choose, so I'm choosing.Copy !req
708. This ain't easy, Kayce.Copy !req
709. We have no choice
but to fight.Copy !req
710. We can remove him.Copy !req
711. You mean we can
martyr him?Copy !req
712. I'm going to teach you
the master rulesCopy !req
713. and that lesson
will not be pleasant.Copy !req
