159. Football plays obviously the biggest part in it.

163. So he started me in the FA Cup game,

164. said I was one of the better players on the pitch,

165. and then I didn't start again.

166. He just brought me off the bench whenever we were losing.

167. And now it's like the transfer window.

168. I'm 22 years of age. I want to go and play football.

169. And I'm not being allowed to go out.

170. It's just—you know, this job is so frustrating,

171. because you want to play football.

172. I don't care about money or anything like that.

173. I just want to play.

174. You know, I do try and stay positive, lads.

202. So I'll just go over what you CT scan shows, Rob.

203. Essentially, you got a dislocated wrist, um,

204. which is probably one of the worst injuries

205. you can have in the wrist. Okay.

206. The goals of the operation

207. are to assess all the injuries and to stabilize the wrist,

208. allowing you to return to full play and full function.

209. It is a potential career-ending injury.

210. Yeah.

211. But if we do our best and it heals well

212. and you recover well, I'd be hopeful

213. of getting you back to play as soon as possible.

214. Maybe not that.

215. Maybe not that quick.

216. If you look at the evidence surrounding this,

217. I'll be hoping that we put you in a plaster cast

218. for your first eight weeks.

219. If everything goes to plan,

220. you come out and start your rehabilitation,

221. and I would hope that approximately

222. three months after, you'd be looking at getting

223. the full range of movement and improving strength.

224. He's inarguably the best goalie

225. in the National League, a major asset.

226. Looks like it's going to be about four months of recovery

227. and it's devastating.

228. The reality in sports is that it's also an opportunity.

229. When Rob got injured, that was a blow

230. because Rob had been playing really well.

231. So Christian Dibble has come in,

232. and I'm confident in Dibbs anyway.

233. But there is a difference,

234. when suddenly, you're now the man.

235. Dibbs has got an opportunity

236. to stake a claim for the shirt.

237. Good, Dibbs!

238. As a goalkeeper,

239. I think you got to be so strong mentally.

240. Last season, I had a couple of bad games.

241. Which, you know, everyone's got—

242. like I said, everyone's gonna have 'em.

243. But it was just the manner of

244. some of the way the Wrexham fans were towards me,

245. sending me messages on Facebook,

246. Instagram, Twitter.

247. It got to a point where I didn't want to come into work.

248. Like, I physically dreaded playing in every game.

249. You had 5,000 fans on a player's back

250. every single week,

251. and he wants to go out and do his best.

252. And he's got that in his head

253. every time he steps on the football pitch.

254. It's not easy.

255. The season, the gaffer, he said, "Look, come in.

256. Be number two and give good competition to Rob."

257. And once my opportunity comes around, I need to take it.

258. So I'd like to think

259. there isn't a number one at this club

260. who is going to start every game.

261. But obviously, the manager gave that shirt to Rob,

262. and then obviously when he gets injured,

263. I'm coming in and I'm fighting for that shirt.

264. I did start fresh to start the season.

265. But I had to do that, because if I didn't do that,

266. then I probably wouldn't be playing football anymore.

267. But it just sucked the life out of me, really.

268. Would have killed me, but

269. I went into this season knowing what I needed to learn

270. from the season before.

271. It started to get better

272. because I felt more confident in myself,

273. you know, in terms of the fans.

274. I personally think this season,

275. I really have shown quite a few of them what I can do,

276. and I've hopefully changed their mind a little bit.

280. They've been truly awful this year.

397. And seeing children around Wrexham

402. It's been a lot more popular with the students.

403. There's more now deciding, the younger ones,

404. that are going to be Wrexham fans.

405. What do you think about Mullin?

406. Super Paul Mullin. It's cracking play, I think.

407. The support is just brilliant.

408. It's a whole mindset, isn't it,

409. of everybody's got the same goal?

410. There's a good rapport now

411. between the players and the fans.

412. I think on our day, we can beat anybody.

413. It's just belief, I think.

414. I think it's belief in being able

415. to work together as a team,

416. seeing that they put the effort in,

417. seeing that they play together,

418. seeing that they care.

419. They've got heart. It's a difference.

420. In football, it is super tough,

421. because it's so cutthroat.

422. So you can be really close to somebody,

423. and then all of a sudden, they're gone.

424. He's gone from one end of the country

425. to the other end of the country.

426. And then you could probably never see them again.

427. I think that's why sometimes

428. footballers don't get emotionally attached,

429. because there's so many ups and downs with teammates,

430. with fans, with a bit of everything, really.

431. Like again, getting attached to a club, it's the same.

432. You get attached to a club, and then all of a sudden,

433. you're never going to play for the club again.

434. So it's tough.

435. Certainly, it's tough.

436. With the players who've been part of this journey,

437. they've been part of something special

438. in terms of the ownership of the club,

439. the TV documentary,

440. some of the fantastic games you've had.

441. Yeah, watching each other's back,

442. looking out for each other is important.

443. As a manager, you kind of guide that and oversee it.

444. And you try and make sure that they move on

445. to the next challenge, you know,

446. knowing that we've looked after them

447. or looked out for them.

448. Yeah, from my point of view, Campbell,

449. you've been great as a lad and we're sorry to see you go,

450. but I think we both know you're frustrated, aren't ya?

451. Yeah. And you need to play.

452. You know, we don't give up anybody

453. because we can't do loans.

454. We want to keep everyone 'round.

456. I think with the career you've had up to this point

457. where you've not had enough minutes of football...
