220. You ever seen this guy before?

221. No.

222. Who is he?

223. Nobody.

224. Are you sure that neither you or your husband

225. had any contact with Zack Thomas after he was released?

226. Trust me, Detective, I'd remember.

227. You know, I showed no interest in Zack Thomas at all.

228. But people aren't who you think they are.

237. - (sighs) - And which of these tiles is blue?

238. No.

239. Blue.

240. Mm-hmm.

241. Can I have another?

242. What'd you have?

243. I don't know. Vodka?

244. Where did you get it?

245. The other bartender.

246. Think his name was Mick.

247. Did he I.D. you?

248. No.

249. How old are you?

250. I'm 22.

251. You can't be in here.

252. Too late.

253. You've gotta get the fuck out.

254. Just pour the drink

255. or I'll report this place.

256. How old are you really?

257. Seventeen?

258. I'm 22.

259. Your cheeks haven't even hollowed out yet.

260. Are you jealous?

261. (sniffs) No.

262. When I was your age, I could get whatever I wanted for free.

263. I'm surprised you can even remember that far back.

264. Let me tell you something.

265. It never works out the way you wanted.

266. Why are you here?

267. It's my mother's memorial.

268. Come here. I wanna show you something.

269. This is how old I really am.

270. Seventeen.

271. You guessed it.

272. And this?

273. This is why it doesn't matter.

274. Losing her was a devastation I will never, ever overcome.

275. Sometimes at night, I still hear the phone ring.

276. I hear Janey's voice.

277. I often wonder, "What if she had seen the car?

278. What if the driver had—"

279. - Everything okay? - Yeah.

280. It's what we struggle with, right?

281. Margot was a brilliant talent,

282. an intense, fearless artist, as you could see so clearly

283. displayed by her remarkable work.

284. Wow. Well, in honor and celebration of her life,

285. I decided to buy this space.

286. And I'm very pleased to announce that this work,

287. this installation will remain here for the rest of the year.

288. And then it will travel to Europe,

289. and I'm sure it's gonna be a smash there, too.

290. I am also an artist of sorts.

291. I am an innovator.

292. People have been telling me that my entire life.

293. I take chances others won't.

294. I see opportunities others don't.

295. And here I see an opportunity

296. to make some very serious cash.

297. So after Margot's show travels across the pond to England,

298. we've decided that we will utilize this space

299. to allow other young women to develop and showcase

300. their incredible artistry.

301. Which is something I know for sure

302. Margot would absolutely love.

303. So I'm very honored and proud

304. to present the inaugural

305. Margot and Theodore Carter Fine Arts Mentorship Award

306. to my very dear and my very sweet friend,

307. Rachel Chen.

308. Congratulations.

309. We adore you all.

310. Margot loves you.

311. And we love you, Margot.

312. Thank you.

313. Who's gonna be first?

314. Hmm?

315. Don't be shy.

316. I miss my mother.

317. She would have really appreciated the gesture here.

318. Um...

319. I...

320. Shouldn't have left me.

321. Can I stay at your place tonight?

322. Yeah.

323. Of course.

324. I just have to do something in the morning.

325. Anything interesting?

326. I gotta follow a guy with one eye.

327. One eye?

328. Is he a pirate?

329. I don't know.

330. That wasn't in his file.

331. Is he dangerous?

332. Could be.

333. I'm not sure yet.

334. I just got a feeling about him.

335. He was ex-FBI.

336. And then he just disappeared.

337. Like a ghost?

338. Yeah.

339. So how'd you find him?

340. Because he's dying.

341. Hi.

342. Are you good?

343. Yes.

344. The sun is in Capricorn.

345. And the beings are well.

346. Thank you.

347. Your mom's going to be okay.

348. I'm glad.

349. Good.

350. Go ahead.

352. This is Detective 2-0-4.

353. I need to run a plate.

354. Car is registered to a Diana Sofia DeYoung.

358. Victim's advocate, violent crime division.

359. You misunderstand what we do here.

361. to victims.

362. Uh-huh.

363. Elder abuse, domestic violence,

364. victims of sexual assault,

365. children who've—

366. Right. No, I understand.

367. I'm on a call.

368. I can wait.

369. We can talk tomorrow.

370. Thanks.

371. Bye.

372. How can I help you?

373. I'm Detective Jones.

374. Do you have a few minutes to talk?

375. Sure.

376. Thank you.

377. What's the case number?

378. I don't have one.

379. So how can I help you?

380. You counseled the family from the Zack Thomas case.

381. - Correct? - Multiple families.

382. Which family are you talking about?

383. Gilkens.

384. Their son was 11 years old.

385. Crippled.

393. How did they take it?

394. They were relieved.

395. I can imagine.

396. Thank you for notifying me, Detective.

399. He's a client of mine.

400. From what case?

401. Not from this office.

402. From my other practice.

411. Sorry.

412. When's the last time you saw him?

413. I'd have to check my records. It's been a while.

414. That's interesting.

415. Because that's a photo of you leaving his vehicle yesterday.

416. Hmm.

417. That's you, right?

418. Seems to be.

419. You know lying to an officer is obstruction of justice.

420. I'm well aware of how the justice system works, Detective.

421. I believe that Viggo Larsen is responsible for the death of Zack Thomas.

422. Interesting.

423. Based on what?

424. Evidence.

425. But what is this really about?

426. What's he like?

427. Who?

428. Viggo.

429. I believe him to be a man capable of greatness.

430. Like killing a child molester?

431. That depends on how he sees it.

432. But you'll have to ask him that.

433. - Thanks for your time. - Of course.

434. Hey.

435. A Detective Jones just came to my work.

436. Yeah.

437. He seems to know everything.

438. I'll keep you safe.

439. I love you.

440. Hey, Martin, how you doing?

464. I want to talk to you.

465. There's a diner around the corner.

466. I'm gonna sit there and wait for you.

476. Not guilt.

477. Or remorse.

478. - I just felt— - Empty.

480. Is that how you feel?

481. No.

482. Is it just pedophiles?

483. How old are you?

493. You think you're good at it?

494. Yeah.

495. I think I could be.

496. You gotta run?

497. No. I can sit here a while.

498. You?

499. No.

500. I've got time.
