Diesel is still angry at Duck, and plans his revenge. He tells the trucks jokes about Gordon, James and Henry, and says Duck told them to him. The trucks start gossiping, and soon enough the big engines find out...

15. Gordon, Henry and James found out why. "Disgraceful!" said Gordon.

16. “Disgusting!” said James. “Despicable!" said Henry.

17. They consulted together. "We'll do it to him and see how he likes it."

18. Duck was tired out.

19. The trucks had been cheeky and troublesome.

20. He wanted a rest in the shed.

21. The three engines barred his way.

22. “Hawhooosh!" “Keep out!"

23. “Stop fooling, I'm tired.” “And we're tired - of you.

24. "You tell tales about us to the trucks."

25. “I don't!"You do!" "I don't!"You do!"

26. The Fat Controller came. “Duck called me a galloping sausage!" said Gordon.

27. “Rusty scrap iron!" hissed James. “Square wheels!" fumed Henry.

28. “Well, Duck?" "I only wish, sir," he said,

29. “that I'd thought of those names myself."

30. “He made trucks laugh at us," they said.

31. “Did you?" asked the Fat Controller.

32. “No! No steam engine would be so mean."

33. Diesel lurked up.

34. “Diesel, you heard Duck.” "I don't understand.

35. “To think that Duck of all engines... I Know nothing, sir."

36. “I see,” said the Fat Controller. Diesel hoped he didn't.

37. “Duck, you must go to Edward's station for a while."

38. “As you wish, sir." Duck trundled sadly away

39. while Diesel smirked with triumph.
