Thomas & Friends 1x7

Thomas is in the yard shunting when new engine James rushes past with a goods train yelling for help. James has wooden brakes and the trucks are pushing him down the line. The alarm goes - James has crashed into a field of cows. Thomas has to get the Breakdown Train and help James. Afterwards, the Fat Controller gives Thomas a very special reward.

1. The Fat Controller came to the station to catch his train.

2. "Hello," he said. "Remember, don't be impatient.

3. "You can never be as strong as Gordon but you can be a really useful engine."

4. Thomas worked hard, pushing the trucks into place.

5. There was also a coach and two things his driver called cranes.

6. "That's the breakdown train. The cranes are for lifting heavy things."

7. Thomas was in the yard when he heard a whistle.

8. "Help!" James came rushing through much too fast!

9. His brakes were on fire! "They're pushing me!" he panted.

10. "On, on!" laughed the trucks. James disappeared.

11. "I'd like to teach those trucks a lesson," said Thomas.

12. Soon came the alarm. "The breakdown train! Quickly!"

13. Thomas was coupled on and off they went.

14. Thomas worked his hardest. "Hurry, hurry!" he puffed.

15. "Bother those trucks. I hope poor James isn't hurt."

16. James' driver was feeling him to see if he was hurt.

17. "Never mind, James," he said, "It wasn't your fault.

18. "We said those wooden brakes were no good."

19. Thomas pushed the breakdown train alongside.

20. Then he pulled the unhurt trucks out of the way.

21. "Serves you right," puffed Thomas.

22. He was hard at work all afternoon.

23. "This'll teach you a lesson," he told the trucks.

24. And they answered, "Yes, it will!"

25. They left the broken trucks and then put James back on the rails.

26. He tried to move but he couldn't so Thomas helped him back to the shed.

27. The Fat Controller was waiting anxiously for them.

28. "Thomas, I'm very pleased with you. You're a really useful engine.

29. "You shall have a branch line all to yourself."

30. "Oh, thank you!" said Thomas.

31. Now Thomas is as happy as can be.

32. He has a branch line and two coaches called Annie and Clarabel.

33. He is never lonely. Edward and Henry stop and tell him the news.

34. Gordon is always in a hurry but never forgets to say "Poop-poop".

35. Thomas always whistles "Peep-peep" back.
