60. No.Copy !req
61. It doesn't look good,Copy !req

63. Mmm, what time is it?Copy !req
64. (chuckles):
"What time is it?"Copy !req
65. It's time to thank

70. talking to you, that's all.Copy !req
71. Mulder, what am I doing here?Copy !req
72. You were airlifted here
in vasogenic shock.Copy !req
73. From what?Copy !req
74. You've got some first-degree

76. From what?Copy !req
77. You don't remember?Copy !req
78. Mulder...Copy !req
79. Is any of this

80. I was there?Copy !req
81. Well, doing what?Copy !req
82. I was hoping you were going toCopy !req
83. answer that question for me.Copy !req
84. You shouldn't be
elevated, Miss Scully.Copy !req
85. You shouldn't be
elevated, Miss Scully.Copy !req
86. Not until we can get

87. She really needs her rest.Copy !req
88. I'll come back.Copy !req
89. Well, Mulder...Copy !req
90. They didn't find her.Copy !req
91. She wasn't among the victims.
They only found her wheelchair.Copy !req
92. I'm sorry.Copy !req
93. What were you doing with her?Copy !req
94. What was I doing with her?Copy !req
95. What was I doing with her?Copy !req

anything to do with this?Copy !req
97. My mom's a cripple;
she hasn't driven a carCopy !req
98. for I don't know how long.Copy !req
99. They found her wheelchair
130 miles from the hospital,Copy !req
100. where I'm now told Agent Scully
was meeting with her privately.Copy !req
101. Look...Copy !req
102. No, you look!Copy !req
103. She's my mother, she's not
some test subject of yours.Copy !req
104. Your mother will be found.Copy !req
105. All I want is
for you to leave it alone.Copy !req
106. Is that too much to ask?Copy !req
107. You're probably thirsty.Copy !req
108. Remind me to complainCopy !req

113. I gather there'll be quite

114. Do you have the boy?Copy !req
115. No.Copy !req
116. Ms. Covarrubias took him.Copy !req
117. Your alliance with herCopy !req
118. was as misguided as ours,
but it appears she was unawareCopy !req
119. of the consequences

120. You were clever.Copy !req
121. Infect the boy
to ensure infectionCopy !req
122. of anyone who tried

123. who would cheat you.Copy !req
124. Then where's the boy?Copy !req
125. Dead.Copy !req
126. Victim of anotherCopy !req
127. mysterious holocaust,Copy !req
128. unable now
to tell what he knew or saw.Copy !req
129. Then you got no choice

130. Then you got no choice
but to deal with me.Copy !req
131. I'm afraid there's
no deal to be made.Copy !req
132. I'm the only oneCopy !req
133. who knows
what those incidents are,Copy !req
134. what they mean.Copy !req
135. I know what that boy saw.Copy !req
136. You've as much as told me
what I need to know.Copy !req
137. You know nothing.Copy !req
138. If the boy was your trump card,Copy !req
139. why infect him
unless you could also cure himCopy !req
140. with a vaccine
developed by the Russians,Copy !req
141. one that works?Copy !req
142. It would mean that resistance
to the alien colonistsCopy !req
143. It would mean that resistance
to the alien colonistsCopy !req
144. was now possible.Copy !req
145. You're dreaming.Copy !req
146. Do you have the vaccine?Copy !req
147. You need what I know.Copy !req
148. Do you have the vaccine?Copy !req
149. Give you the means to save
Covarrubias after what she did?Copy !req
150. The means to save yourself.Copy !req
151. I don't know what to say.Copy !req
152. I mean,
I-I don't have the first clue.Copy !req
153. There's nothing here.Copy !req
154. Well, at least
you're not alone.Copy !req
155. None of the
other survivorsCopy !req
156. have been able to give
a cogent account, either.Copy !req
157. Mulder, I have
never been here.Copy !req
158. I couldn't tell you
how to get here,Copy !req
159. let alone drive it.Copy !req
160. Do you remember when you
last saw Cassandra Spender?Copy !req
161. Do you remember when you
last saw Cassandra Spender?Copy !req
162. She was there, too?Copy !req
163. I ran more X-rays.Copy !req
164. I haven't toldCopy !req
165. anybody yet what
I found though.Copy !req
166. You found more implants?Copy !req
167. That would explain how you
were directed to the siteCopy !req
168. and why you
can't remember.Copy !req
169. Would explain the sensationCopy !req
170. Cassandra Spender
was describing,Copy !req
171. her abduction fantasies.Copy !req
172. It would explain
Skyland Mountain.Copy !req
173. Yeah, but it wouldn't explainCopy !req
174. why they would want to kill me.Copy !req
175. why they would want to kill me.Copy !req
176. And it doesn't explain
why I survived.Copy !req
177. All comes down
to a question, Scully,Copy !req
178. one that hasn't
been answered or...Copy !req
179. I don't even think
honestly addressed:Copy !req
180. who made that chip
in your neck?Copy !req
181. That chip was foundCopy !req
182. in a military
research facility.Copy !req
183. Our government made that chip,
implanted it in your neckCopy !req
184. as part of a secret
military projectCopy !req
185. to develop a biochemical weapon,Copy !req
186. to develop a biochemical weapon,Copy !req
187. to monitor your immunity,
or to destroy you like a lab ratCopy !req
188. if the truth were
to be exposed.Copy !req
189. And your cancer...Copy !req
190. your cure...Copy !req
191. everything that's
happening to you now...Copy !req
192. it all points to that chip.Copy !req
193. The truth I've been
searching for?Copy !req
194. That truth is in you.Copy !req
195. That truth is in you.Copy !req
196. Mulder, when I met you
five years ago,Copy !req
197. you told me that your sister
had been abducted...Copy !req
198. by aliens,Copy !req
199. that that event had
marked you so deeplyCopy !req
200. that nothing else mattered.Copy !req
201. I didn't believe you,Copy !req
202. but I followed youCopy !req
203. on nothing more
than your faithCopy !req
204. that the truth
was out there,Copy !req
205. based not on facts,
not on science,Copy !req
206. but on your memoriesCopy !req
207. that your sister
had been taken from you.Copy !req
208. Your memories
were all that you had.Copy !req
209. I don't trust
those memories now.Copy !req
210. Well, whether you
trust them or not,Copy !req
211. they've led you here.Copy !req
212. And me.Copy !req
213. And me.Copy !req
214. But I have no memories
to either trust nor distrust,Copy !req
215. and if you ask me now
to follow you again,Copy !req
216. to stand behind you
in what you now believeCopy !req
217. without knowing what
happened to me out there,Copy !req
218. without those memories,Copy !req
219. I can't.Copy !req
220. I won't.Copy !req
221. If I could
give you those memories,Copy !req
222. if I could prove
that I was rightCopy !req
223. and that what I believed
for so long was wrong...Copy !req
224. Is that what you really want?Copy !req
225. The facial scarrings
appear to be self-mutilationCopy !req
226. done as protection.Copy !req
227. Protection against what?Copy !req
228. Infection by the black oil.Copy !req
229. He was the lone survivor
of a crashed spacecraftCopy !req
230. at a military base
in West Virginia.Copy !req
231. What the hell is he?Copy !req
232. An alien rebel.Copy !req
233. This is what the
boy saw in Russia.Copy !req
234. The last face the dead
saw at Skyland MountainCopy !req
235. The last face the dead
saw at Skyland MountainCopy !req
236. and most surely who killed
our man at the damCopy !req
237. in Pennsylvania.Copy !req
238. He's a resistance fighterCopy !req
239. against the alien
colonists.Copy !req
240. This is what Alex Krycek knew—Copy !req
241. that a war had begun.Copy !req
242. What good was that knowledge?Copy !req
243. Without the vaccine against the
black oil, no one can survive.Copy !req
244. We have a vaccine—Copy !req
245. developed by the Russians,Copy !req
246. stolen by Krycek,Copy !req
247. stolen by Krycek,Copy !req
248. given to me.Copy !req
249. Do you see what this means?Copy !req
250. Resistance is possible.Copy !req
251. We have the weapons
and the magic in hand.Copy !req
252. We don't know
the vaccine works.Copy !req
253. It will.Copy !req
254. And if it doesn't,Copy !req
255. we have a new alliance
to be made.Copy !req
256. Side with the resistance?Copy !req
257. Suicide.Copy !req
258. They'll squash us
as they do them.Copy !req
259. We must turn the rebel over.Copy !req
260. We must turn the rebel over.Copy !req
261. But first, wait till we know
the vaccine works.Copy !req
262. Hi, Dana.Copy !req
263. It's nice to
meet you again.Copy !req
264. Are you okay with this?Copy !req
265. Are you okay with this?Copy !req
266. I'm okay.Copy !req
267. There are a
few thingsCopy !req
268. I want to say I didn't
touch on over the phone.Copy !req
269. I'm sure Agent Mulder told you
about how this works.Copy !req
270. Have you ever been hypnotized?Copy !req
271. Uh, once.Copy !req
272. But I have to be honest with
you, I didn't have much luck.Copy !req
273. Well, I hope we can
do better today.Copy !req
274. I'm going to be using
something a little different.Copy !req
275. You may have heard
of hypnogogic trance,Copy !req
276. which is just a
light trance stateCopy !req
277. where we relax some of
the filtering processes.Copy !req
278. Okay?Copy !req
279. I'm going to ask you
to go back to the placeCopy !req
280. we talked about on the phone.Copy !req
281. Just close your eyesCopy !req
282. and take long,
deep breaths...Copy !req
283. relaxing all parts of your body.Copy !req
284. Long, deep breaths.Copy !req
285. Relaxing your hands
and your feet.Copy !req
286. Relaxing your hands
and your feet.Copy !req
287. Relaxing your jaw, your pelvis.Copy !req
288. Long, deep breaths.Copy !req
289. Back to the night place.Copy !req
290. I don't think this is working.Copy !req
291. Oh, my God!Copy !req
292. Oh, my God!Copy !req
293. Oh, my God!Copy !req
294. Where are you, Dana?Copy !req
295. Oh...Copy !req
296. I'm, uh...Copy !req
297. I'm with the others.Copy !req
298. Are you in the
night place?Copy !req
299. Yes.Copy !req
300. And then...
and then it was gone.Copy !req
301. What is it, Dana?Copy !req
302. It's, uh...Copy !req
303. They're back.Copy !req
304. Who?Copy !req
305. Oh, no, they're...Copy !req
306. they're on fire!Copy !req
307. Oh, God!Copy !req
308. They're setting them on fire.Copy !req
309. I can't...Copy !req
310. Who?Copy !req
311. Who's doing this?Copy !req
312. Their faces, I can't...Copy !req
313. They have no faces.Copy !req
314. I...Copy !req
315. They have no eyes.Copy !req
316. They have no eyes.Copy !req
317. Oh, God!Copy !req
318. They're coming at us!Copy !req
319. They're surrounding us!Copy !req
320. They won't stop!Copy !req
321. They won't stop and...Copy !req
322. There's... there's another one.Copy !req
323. There's another ship!Copy !req
324. They see it.Copy !req
325. They were attacking them.Copy !req
326. Who were
they attacking, Dana?Copy !req
327. The... the faceless men.Copy !req
328. They're...Copy !req
329. Oh, my God, I can't...Copy !req
330. Do you want to stop, Dana?Copy !req
331. No.Copy !req
332. Now it's coming at us.Copy !req
333. Oh, my God!Copy !req
334. No! Cassandra!Copy !req
335. Where's Cassandra?Copy !req
336. They're... they're taking her.Copy !req
337. They're... Oh, my God.Copy !req
338. I can't...Copy !req
339. I can't...Copy !req
340. Dana?Copy !req
341. Dana, I'm going
to stop now.Copy !req
342. I want you to open your eyes.Copy !req
343. No. I...Copy !req
344. I want you to open
your eyes, Dana,Copy !req
345. and come on back.Copy !req
346. Dana, I want you
to open your eyesCopy !req
347. and come on back to us.Copy !req
348. Okay.Copy !req
349. You've been here the whole time?Copy !req
350. I, uh, reviewed
the tape of the session,Copy !req
351. as you requested.Copy !req
352. I have to say, I wasn't prepared
for what I heard on this.Copy !req
353. No, sir. Neither was I.Copy !req
354. Agent Mulder?Copy !req
355. I'm familiar
with the regression processCopy !req
356. and Dr. Werber's work.Copy !req
357. I've heard hundreds of those
types of abduction scenarios.Copy !req
358. Well, what do you
make of this one?Copy !req
359. The imagery is startling,
but not atypical:Copy !req
360. The imagery is startling,
but not atypical:Copy !req
361. bright lights, weightlessness,
stolen memory, lost timeCopy !req
362. expressed as a close encounter,
an abduction, religious rapture,Copy !req
363. as a kind of dark night
of the soul.Copy !req
364. Expressed?Copy !req
365. Described
and then interpretedCopy !req
366. into a linear narrative,
a gestalt impressionCopy !req
367. of a subjective,
nonlinear experience.Copy !req
368. And your interpretation?Copy !req
369. That Agent Scully witnessed
a very powerful event.Copy !req
370. Not unlike the oneCopy !req
371. I described on
my regression tapeCopy !req
372. of the false memory of
my sister's abduction.Copy !req
373. Agent Scully?Copy !req
374. Agent Scully?Copy !req
375. I've listened to the tape
several times,Copy !req
376. and I don't have
a clear recollectionCopy !req
377. of what
I hear myself saying.Copy !req
378. But I also don't see any reason
why I'd be saying it.Copy !req
379. I've got a problem.Copy !req
380. And the problem is
I have to head upCopy !req
381. the investigation
into this incident.Copy !req
382. I don't have the luxury
of interpretation.Copy !req
383. I have to make a report,Copy !req
384. and that report must state
a reason or cite a factCopy !req
385. and that report must state
a reason or cite a factCopy !req
386. or at least make an assumption.Copy !req
387. As I sit here right now,
I'm unable to do that.Copy !req
388. I need to know what happened.Copy !req
389. It was staged.
To?Copy !req
390. To test a classified
military projectCopy !req
391. or to cover it up.Copy !req
392. Then what, I want to know,
happened to Cassandra Spender?Copy !req
393. Cassandra SpenderCopy !req
394. was taken aboard
a military aircraftCopy !req
395. as part of the staging.Copy !req
396. Over the past five years,
I've doubted you,Copy !req
397. Over the past five years,
I've doubted you,Copy !req
398. only to be persuaded
by the power of your beliefCopy !req
399. in extraterrestrial
phenomena.Copy !req
400. And I'm doubting you nowCopy !req
401. not because
of that belief, but...Copy !req
402. because extraterrestrial
phenomenaCopy !req
403. is, frankly,
the more plausible explanation.Copy !req
404. Then I suggest
you put that in your report.Copy !req
405. The vaccine
has no effect.Copy !req
406. We must give it time.Copy !req
407. We must survive first.Copy !req
408. Survival means collaboration.Copy !req
409. Turn over the alien rebel,Copy !req
410. and you turn over
any chance of resistance.Copy !req
411. It's already been done.Copy !req
412. I heard about this office.Copy !req
413. Really is in the basement.Copy !req
414. I'm here about my mother.Copy !req
415. Well, we... we don't know
anything more.Copy !req
416. I spoke with Dr. Werber.Copy !req
417. He said you'd
been to his office.Copy !req
418. Did he say why?Copy !req
419. No. He didn't have to.Copy !req
420. I'm assuming,Copy !req
421. I'm assuming,Copy !req
422. knowing the facts I do,
that you're wonderingCopy !req
423. about the possibility
of alien abduction.Copy !req
424. I'm sure you know
enough about it.Copy !req
425. Agent Mulder surely
pushed the idea.Copy !req
426. No, actually,
Agent Mulder hasn't.Copy !req
427. I find that hard to believe.Copy !req
428. I thought you were here
about your mother?Copy !req
429. You went to see her.Copy !req
430. I'd like to know
what you talked about.Copy !req
431. We talked
about how she was feeling.Copy !req
432. We talked about a lot of things.Copy !req
433. You talked about abduction,
about her experiences?Copy !req
434. You talked about abduction,
about her experiences?Copy !req
435. Did you talk about me?Copy !req
436. In what way?Copy !req
437. I have something hereCopy !req
438. that I think might explain
a lot for you.Copy !req
439. and there's a bright light.Copy !req
440. There's people standing around.Copy !req
441. That's me.
I'm 11 years old.Copy !req
442. They're looking up at something
in the skyCopy !req
443. where the bright light is.Copy !req
444. I'm starting to cry.Copy !req
445. I'm really, really scared,Copy !req
446. and I want
to get back in the car,Copy !req
447. and I want
to get back in the car,Copy !req
448. but I can't find my mom.Copy !req
449. And... then I see her.Copy !req
450. There's something in the sky,Copy !req
451. and it's got flashing lights.Copy !req
452. And it's so bright
it hurts my eyes.Copy !req
453. And then she going up
in the sky.Copy !req
454. And I'm yelling, "Mommy...
Mommy... Mommy..."Copy !req
455. And then I feel my feet,
and they aren't on the ground.Copy !req
456. I'm floating up.Copy !req
457. I'm floating up.Copy !req
458. Seen enough?Copy !req
459. Is that what you were afraid
people are going to find out?Copy !req
460. Yes.Copy !req
461. But not because it's true.Copy !req
462. None of this happened.Copy !req
463. I don't understand.Copy !req
464. I made it up.Copy !req
465. Or I should say my mom did.Copy !req
466. She told you
to say those things?Copy !req
467. Essentially.Copy !req
468. She told me that story so many
times that I believed it.Copy !req
469. Absolutely.Copy !req
470. It became a kind of truth,Copy !req
471. and it was really
just a substitute.Copy !req
472. For what?Copy !req
473. For the fact that my dad
had left his family,Copy !req
474. For the fact that my dad
had left his family,Copy !req
475. and it drove my mom insane.Copy !req
476. Only, I was 11 years old
and I didn't know it.Copy !req
477. Why are you here, Agent Spender?Copy !req
478. Why did you show this to me?Copy !req
479. Because I think
the process is bogus.Copy !req
480. Dr. Werber and his whole
regression of memory is B.S.Copy !req
481. It's like having a dream
and then pretending it's real.Copy !req
482. Well, I think that Dr. Werber
would beg to differ.Copy !req
483. He indulged and infantilized
my mother for his own purposes.Copy !req
484. I think he's dangerous,Copy !req
485. and I think his methods
are unsound.Copy !req
486. And if you went through it,Copy !req
487. I hope you'd question
what came out of it.Copy !req
488. I hope you'd question
what came out of it.Copy !req
489. Well, I appreciate your opinion,
Agent Spender,Copy !req
490. but I don't have a mother
feeding me abduction stories.Copy !req
491. You've got Agent Mulder,
don't you?Copy !req
492. How many times have you heard
the stories he's told?Copy !req
493. How about the one
about his own sister?Copy !req
494. Don't let yourself be used.Copy !req
495. You must be losing it, Mulder.Copy !req
496. I could beat you with one hand.Copy !req
497. Isn't that
how you like to beat yourself?Copy !req
498. If those are my last words,
I can do better.Copy !req
499. I'm not here to kill you,
Mulder.Copy !req
500. I'm not here to kill you,
Mulder.Copy !req
501. I'm here to help you.Copy !req
502. Hey, thanks.Copy !req
503. You know, if it wasn't inCopy !req
504. my best interests, I would just
as soon squeeze this trigger.Copy !req
505. Well, what's stopping you?Copy !req
506. Hear this, Agent Mulder.Copy !req
507. Listen very carefully,Copy !req
508. because what I'm telling you
is deadly serious.Copy !req
509. There is a war raging,Copy !req
510. and unless you pull your head
out of the sand,Copy !req
511. you and I and about
five billion other peopleCopy !req
512. are going to go the way
of the dinosaur.Copy !req
513. I'm talking planned invasion.Copy !req
514. I'm talking planned invasion.Copy !req
515. The colonization of this planet
by an extraterrestrial race.Copy !req
516. I thought you were serious.Copy !req
517. Kazakhstan,Copy !req
518. Skyland Mountain,
the site in Pennsylvania—Copy !req
519. they're all
alien lighthousesCopy !req
520. where the colonization
will begin.Copy !req
521. But where now,
a battle's being waged.Copy !req
522. A struggle for Heaven and Earth.Copy !req
523. Where there is one law:
fight or die.Copy !req
524. And one rule:Copy !req
525. resist or serve.Copy !req
526. Serve who?Copy !req
527. No, not who...Copy !req
528. No, not who...Copy !req
529. what.Copy !req
530. Krycek, you're a murderer,
a liar and a coward.Copy !req
531. Just because you stick a gun
in my chest,Copy !req
532. I'm supposed to believe
you're my friend?Copy !req
533. Get up.Copy !req
534. I was sent by a man...Copy !req
535. a man who knows, as I do,
the resistance is in our grasp.Copy !req
536. And in yours.Copy !req
537. The mass incinerations were
strikes by an alien rebellionCopy !req
538. to upset plans for occupation.Copy !req
539. Now, one of these rebels
is being held captive.Copy !req
540. And if he dies,
so does the resistance.Copy !req
541. Come in.Copy !req
542. Mulder?Copy !req
543. What are you doing
sitting here in the dark?Copy !req
544. Thinking.Copy !req
545. Thinking about what?Copy !req
546. Oh, the usual—Copy !req
547. destiny, fate...
how to throw a curve ball...Copy !req
548. the inextricable relationships
in our livesCopy !req
549. the inextricable relationships
in our livesCopy !req
550. that are neither accidentalCopy !req
551. nor somehow
in our control either.Copy !req
552. Well, I've just taken
a long walk,Copy !req
553. and I've reconsideredCopy !req
554. that I may have
been wrong aboutCopy !req
555. what I believed happened to me.Copy !req
556. I've been doing
some reconsidering of my own.Copy !req
557. What is this?Copy !req
558. Maybe an answer.Copy !req
559. To a question you and I seem
to have been destined to ask.Copy !req
560. Yes, sir.Copy !req
561. We're federal agents requesting
permission to enter the base.Copy !req
562. You have paperwork to go
with that, Agent Muldaur?Copy !req
563. It's Mulder.Copy !req
564. I wasn't aware that any
special authorizationCopy !req
565. was needed to enter.Copy !req
566. Well, due to the nature
of our facilityCopy !req
567. Well, due to the nature
of our facilityCopy !req
568. and the hazardous chemicals
on-site,Copy !req
569. I can only allow
precleared civilianCopy !req
570. and military personnel
on base.Copy !req
571. Are you aware that there's been
a leak and contaminationCopy !req
572. in one of the lab facilities
and that the personnel insideCopy !req
573. are in need of immediate
medical attention?Copy !req
574. No, sir, I wasn't.Copy !req
575. Why don't you go
check on that, son.Copy !req
576. I'd hate for somebody to die
because you were uninformed.Copy !req
577. Buckle up, Scully.Copy !req
578. Mulder, he's armed and
well within his jurisdiction.Copy !req
579. Mulder, he's armed and
well within his jurisdiction.Copy !req
580. I know this man.Copy !req
581. Who?Copy !req
582. That driver.Copy !req
583. I know his face.Copy !req
584. Yes, sir.Copy !req
585. They do not have
any authority to be here.Copy !req
586. They do not have
any authority to be here.Copy !req
587. Place them under military arrest
immediately.Copy !req
588. Yes, sir.Copy !req
589. Stop that truck!Copy !req
590. Get out of the car!
You're under arrest.Copy !req
591. This is west gate.Copy !req
592. I've got a breach
of securityCopy !req
593. and a possible hijacking
of a military vehicle.Copy !req
594. Repeat, this is...Copy !req
595. No!Copy !req
596. What happened?Copy !req
597. I don't know.Copy !req
598. Agent Spender.Copy !req
599. Yes, sir?Copy !req
600. I'm sorry. There's been
no news about your mother.Copy !req
601. I appreciate you wanting
to keep this discreet.Copy !req
602. I'll try and do that.Copy !req
603. But you should knowCopy !req
604. Agent Mulder has opened
an X File on this case.Copy !req
605. This hasn't reflected on you
in any way, Agent Spender.Copy !req
606. Thank you, sir.Copy !req
607. You'll do fine.Copy !req
608. You'll do fine.Copy !req
609. It seems you have a patron
outside this officeCopy !req
610. who thinks highly of you.Copy !req
611. Who's that?Copy !req
612. I don't know.Copy !req
613. Someone working
with a high level of influence.Copy !req
614. Oh, Agent Spender,
got a letter for you.Copy !req
615. Sorry about that, mister.Copy !req
616. I made this!Copy !req
