The X-Files 2x11

1. Hall with a nice left.

2. Hall just trying to stay away from him.

3. Come on, man.

4. Come on.

5. Come on now.

6. Put him down. Put him down!

7. Oh!

8. Hey, man, watch it.

9. Hey, come on, Upshaw.

10. Come on, you and me, buddy, let's go.

11. You're a moron, Tiernan. Let's go.

12. You're both morons,

13. as far as I'm concerned.

14. Now, who's watching the floor?

15. What's-his-name, the skink.

16. Hey, guess who died this afternoon.

17. Mrs. Richardson.

18. Face plant right in a bowl of pudding.

19. (laughs) I don't suppose

20. either one of you bothered to change her room.

21. Oh, no, no. We left that for you.

22. Oh!

23. Now Hall's against the ropes

24. and trying to work...

25. Okay. Party's over, gents.

26. Why'd you do that?

27. 'Cause rules are rules, Stan.

28. And I'm the queen bitch around here.

29. Gung said we could watch the rest of the fight.

30. Yeah? Well, do I look like Gung to you?

31. No. You got a better figure.

32. You want to keep that hand, Hal, you better let go.

33. How about a little sponge bath?

34. How about I take care

35. of these wandering hands of yours?

36. Come here.

37. You like strapping me down, don't you?

38. Oh, yeah. I really get off on it.

39. Hey, Gung.

40. No TV after 9:00, do you understand?

41. Dr. Grago said they're getting better, so...

42. Oh, getting better? Right.

43. That's because they don't pinch his butt every time

44. he walks into the room.

45. he walks into the room.

46. No!

47. Somebody, help me!

48. Somebody, please!

49. Please!

50. Help me!

51. Please, help me!

52. Good morning.

53. Whatever tape you found in that VCR, it isn't mine.

54. Good. Because I put it back in that drawer

55. with all those other videos that aren't yours.

56. Well, this definitely isn't mine.

57. No. This is Michelle Charters.

58. She's a registered nurse at a convalescent home

59. She's a registered nurse at a convalescent home

60. in Worcester, Massachusetts.

61. What happened to her?

62. According to Miss Charters, she was raped.

63. The abrasions and contusions here

64. would be consistent with her claims,

65. as would be the medical report,

66. which cites the kind of injury and tearing

67. associated with sexual trauma.

68. Where'd you get this, Violent Crimes?

69. No. The woman made the video herself.

70. It seems that no one will believe her story.

71. Why not?

72. Because she claims to have been raped

73. by an invisible entity.

74. by an invisible entity.

75. A spirit being.

76. I have several X Files that document similar cases.

77. I know. I've been here since

78. 6:00 this morning going through them.

79. Well, then you know none of them have ever been substantiated.

80. Not surprisingly. Well, given the emotional

81. and psychological violence of rape,

82. the face or identity of the attacker

83. is often blurred or erased from memory.

84. That he could be perceived as invisible

85. is a logical leap from there.

86. Yes, but this case is different.

87. Why?

88. The victim has filed a lawsuit

89. against the federal government.

90. She seems to be certain who the spirit being is.

91. She seems to be certain who the spirit being is.

92. Mr. Arden. Hal Arden.

93. And you know him...?

94. He's been a patient where I work for about five years.

95. Miss Charters,

96. the facts of your case seem to contravene

97. those of other cases we have on file.

98. Right.

99. You mean the other "woman raped by invisible man" cases?

100. How do you know it was him who attacked you?

101. He made advances toward me.

102. And he said things— rude things.

103. Look, when you bathe somebody

104. every day for five years, you get to know more about them

105. every day for five years, you get to know more about them

106. than you really need to.

107. And an old man smells a certain way,

108. and he feels a certain way.

109. I know this is hard for you.

110. No, this is the easy part.

111. See, hard is not being able to get disability leave

112. or workman's comp

113. and having to go back to work with this... guy.

114. To continue our investigation,

115. we're going to need some kind of evidence—

116. physical or... Yeah, yeah, yeah.

117. physical or... Yeah, yeah, yeah.

118. I know. I've heard it.

119. Unless you have hair or semen or fibers or whatever,

120. you guys can't build a case.

121. That's right.

122. Look, I didn't make this up, okay?

123. I was attacked.

124. And I'm not some kind of shrinking violet

125. who would repress the memory

126. of a rapist's face.

127. If I could positively I.D. him

128. or give you something to incriminate the man, I would.

129. You got to be kidding me.

130. And what do I think about her claims? (scoffs)

131. I should be in the Guinness record book.

132. Hey, I'm 74 years old.

133. I've got plumbing older than this building.

134. Hmm?

135. And it don't work much better either.

136. Thank you for sharing.

137. Are you... are you aware that you're being named

138. Are you... are you aware that you're being named

139. in a lawsuit against the federal government?

140. I am?

141. Did you ever threaten Miss Charters?

142. What?

143. (louder): Did you ever threaten Miss Charters?

144. Threaten?

145. It was harmless, for crying out loud.

146. Ever since this sex harassment fad,

147. men can't say what's on their minds.

148. She says you made advances.

149. Hmm?

150. (louder): Advances?

151. If I told you you were a very pretty woman

152. and I would like to show you some affection,

153. and I would like to show you some affection,

154. would you be offended? Huh?

155. Oh, I didn't mean to step on your toes there.

156. It's all right.

157. There-there seems to be some confusion here.

158. Yeah. I thought Nurse What's-her-name said

159. she was rogered by a ghost.

160. I may have one foot in the grave,

161. but I certainly can't fly down hallways

162. spreading amore.

163. Apparently not.

164. If that's what it's like...

165. if that's what it's like in heaven,

166. Lord, take me now.

167. What do you think, Mulder?

168. About the guy's plumbing?

169. About his story.

170. I think this is gonna turn out to be a huge waste of time,

171. just like all the other X Files on entity rape.

172. Unsubstantiated phenomena.

173. But in a substantiated crime.

174. Hey, pay attention.

175. Hey, pay attention.

176. Or you can take another bath with your clothes on.

177. Five and a half bucks an hour—

178. I don't give a rat's ass either way.

179. Ten years ago, Excelsis was a leading facility

180. in care and treatment of the elderly.

181. Then government funding was cut till we were all but shut down.

182. Only a few wings are operational now.

183. Is there still a medical staff?

184. Not on site. Dr. Grago visits three times a week.

185. Excelsis residents are very well looked after though.

186. We hold ourselves to a high standard

187. of health maintenance and treatment.

188. of health maintenance and treatment.

189. What kind of treatment?

190. We've always specialized in the care

191. of the late-life degenerative diseases—

192. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's.

193. We met with a patient today.

194. We prefer "resident," actually.

195. We met a "resident" today

196. who was described to us as having Alzheimer's,

197. but he actually seemed quite spry and alert.

198. You're speaking of Hal Arden,

199. the man accused of assaulting Michelle Charters.

200. Was he receiving special treatment?

201. You'd have to speak to Dr. Grago.

202. Hal has been here almost eight years now.

203. Hal has been here almost eight years now.

204. We're all quite fond of him.

205. We were extremely dismayed

206. over this whole business with the lawsuit.

207. Are you saying that you don't believe

208. Nurse Charter's allegations of rape?

209. There's something I'd like to show you.

210. What did you tell them?

211. I didn't tell them anything.

212. Why are they still here?

213. I don't know, Stan.

214. I don't know, Stan.

215. Now, you got to be more careful.

216. I am careful.

217. You're going to ruin it for all of us.

218. They find out, it all goes for nothing.

219. I didn't tell them anything.

220. I'm not going to die in this godforsaken hole,

221. do you hear me?

222. Oh, bug off, Stan.

223. Where did you get that?

224. I know where he keeps them.

225. I know where he keeps them.

226. Give me one, Stan.

227. Huh?

228. I want another one, too.

229. You can't handle another one.

230. Oh, yeah?

231. Maybe I'll just rat you out then.

232. Huh? How would you like that?

233. This Michelle Charters'?

234. There are three separate insurance claims

235. for accidents received on the job.

236. In April, she went to the state board

237. In April, she went to the state board

238. and requested leave with full pay

239. due to job-related emotional stress.

240. The request was summarily rejected.

241. There's more...

242. I'd like to review it myself, if that's okay.

243. Certainly.

244. Ms. Dawson, did you get a chance

245. to see Michelle after the incident,

246. to see the extent of her injuries?

247. I wasn't here the night it happened,

248. but I did see her the following day.

249. Then you know how badly she was hurt.

250. Yes.

251. In your opinion, do you think she staged the attack?

252. (knocking) Excuse me, Ms. Dawson?

253. We need help! Mr. Arden's choking to death.

254. See? See what happened?

255. I told you you couldn't handle any more.

256. Call 911.

257. Hal?

258. Can you speak?

259. I think this man's in ventricular fibrillation.

260. I need 75 milligrams of lidocaine

261. and one amp of amphinephrine.

262. Stat. Yeah.

263. And get me a defibrillator! Okay!

264. He's turning cyanotic.

265. He's turning cyanotic.

266. Come on, Hal, you got to help me.

267. Come on, Hal.

268. One, two, three, four.

269. The ambulance is on the way.

270. I'm losing him.

271. What's taking them so long?

272. Still no pulse.

273. Where's that crash cart?

274. Hal Arden's been my patient

275. since he came here eight years ago.

276. This really is a setback.

277. A setback?

278. Hal was part of a group of Alzheimer's patients

279. I've been treating for the past 11 months.

280. But Alzheimer's isn't treatable.

281. It's an experimental drug called Depranil—

282. an enzyme inhibitor that increases the amount

283. of acetylcholine in the brain.

284. I've read about it, but I've also read

285. that the clinical benefits are marginal at best.

286. Yes, but these patients seem to be proving otherwise.

287. They've demonstrated cognitive abilities

288. They've demonstrated cognitive abilities

289. well beyond anything that's been reported.

290. So he was actually getting better?

291. Before he started receiving the drug,

292. he could hardly complete a sentence.

293. Look, um, there's not much to get excited about in my work.

294. You know, most of these people are on the downhill slide.

295. If I can make them comfortable, maybe prolong a life,

296. that's about all they expect.

297. But to reverse an illness...

298. Would it be possible for us to take a look

299. at other patients in your test group?

300. at other patients in your test group?

301. Sure, if you want to.

302. Yeah.

303. Where'd you get that?

304. Oh, it was Hal's.

305. Since he's not here anymore, why can't I have it?

306. Since he's not here anymore, why can't I have it?

307. Because you have enough.

308. What I give you is enough.

309. It's our secret.

310. Oh, come on, Gung.

311. It's making me better.

312. Too much is very bad.

313. Very bad.

314. No more for you.

315. I want you to stand

316. behind Ben, Eddie, because Ben's taller.

317. And, uh, oh, Gloria, would you come on over here?

318. That man there— that's Leo Kreutzer.

319. During the Depression, he was a WPA artist.

320. During the Depression, he was a WPA artist.

321. Quite a good one, too, I'm told.

322. Hello, Mabel. Oh, don't you look lovely today.

323. Is he receiving the same treatment as Hal Arden?

324. Yes. When he came to us, he couldn't draw a circle.

325. Now, well, you can see for yourself.

326. Because you're taller,

327. I want you to stand behind Ben.

328. Uh, you'll have to excuse me.

329. I'm already well behind on rounds.

330. Can I get a copy of Hal Arden's autopsy results?

331. Of course. Thank you.

332. May I sit down, Leo?

333. Leo, we're with the FBI.

334. We have some questions that we'd like to ask you.

335. Leo's a brilliant artist, you know.

336. Oh, don't be so modest, Leo.

337. President Kennedy has

338. one of his paintings in the White House.

339. Dr. Grago tells us

340. that you haven't been able to work in years.

341. that you haven't been able to work in years.

342. That the medicine has improved your...

343. Ain't the medication.

344. What is it then?

345. Okay, Rembrandt, 6:00, dinner time.

346. Come on, Dorothy, legs up and straight ahead.

347. I don't want you getting a flat tire.

348. Wait, L-Leo's not finished with us.

349. Well, Leo can finish with you later.

350. No, no, he still...

351. he still has to draw the rest.

352. He'll do it later, honey. Come on, Leo.

353. Don't make me embarrass you in front of your friends.

354. Come on, Scully, let's get out of here.

355. To find not just a treatment, but a cure for Alzheimer's—

356. Mulder, do you realize how important that would be?

357. Well, if it'd keep anybody out of a place like that,

358. it'd be important enough.

359. I wouldn't say any of those people were exactly cured.

360. Well, any progress at all...

361. Well, any progress at all...

362. Well, I hope somebody's making some progress,

363. 'cause we're going home with a big goose egg.

364. Checking out of room 206 and 210, please.

365. Certainly, sir.

366. Angelo?

367. What if there's a connection?

368. Between the rape case and the Alzheimer's?

369. You mean, when they're not drawing child-like pictures,

370. they're brutal sex offenders?

371. Well, Dr. Grago's drug therapy produces acetylcholine.

372. Too much cholinergic activity has been shown to cause

373. a psychotic state very similar to schizophrenia.

374. So you think that Michelle Charters was raped

375. So you think that Michelle Charters was raped

376. by a 74-year-old schizophrenic?

377. It's possible.

378. An invisible 74-year-old schizophrenic?

379. Well, maybe it's not in the medication.

380. Maybe it's the place itself.

381. Are you saying that the building's haunted?

382. Because if you are, I think you've been

383. working with me for too long, Scully.

384. I-I'm talking about an environmental reason

385. behind what's happening there.

386. Even the disinfectant couldn't mask that smell.

387. Who knows what's breeding behind the walls

388. or in the substructure?

389. Some fungal contaminates have been known

390. to cause delusions, dementia, violent behavior...

391. Why wouldn't it have affected the other residents?

392. Why wouldn't it have affected the other residents?

393. Maybe it has.

394. I-I think you're looking too hard, Scully,

395. for something that's not there.

396. I think that Michelle Charters concocted this story

397. to get out of a job she hates.

398. Her lip required 13 stitches.

399. The blow to her head resulted in a subdural hematoma.

400. That's quite a concoction.

401. Look, I just want to talk to a few more of the patients there.

402. We can catch the same flight out tomorrow night.

403. This is gourmet fare.

404. Now, be a good girl and open wide.

405. Now, be a good girl and open wide.

406. No, no, no, please don't.

407. Come on. Come on. Please don't.

408. Come on, open up, honey. Come on.

409. No, please don't. Open up.

410. I don't want... There we go.

411. Hey, that's fine, Dorothy, starve to death.

412. See if I care.

413. Why aren't you eating your food, Leo?

414. What's the matter?

415. It's Dorothy.

416. She needs more.

417. We both do.

418. What you have is enough.

419. What you have is enough.

420. It's not working for us.

421. Not like it works for the others.

422. We need more.

423. No.

424. Now, eat your food, please.

425. I'll come back and pick up your tray.

426. It's okay, Dorothy.

427. Don't worry.

428. I think Stan has some more hidden away somewhere.

429. I think Stan has some more hidden away somewhere.

430. It'll be all right.

431. Why are you being so stubborn?

432. I'm not! I happen to like it here.

433. A year ago, you were practically begging

434. to come and live with us.

435. Well, things change. Look, Dad,

436. I am sorry about what happened to Mr. Arlen.

437. Arden. His name was Arden.

438. I'm just about finished packing your things, Mr. Phillips.

439. Well, I'm going to make sure y-you didn't forget anything.

440. Okay.

441. Don't you worry, Mrs. Kelly.

442. You just pull your car out front.

443. I'll make sure he gets down okay.

444. Thank you.

445. Thank you.

446. He's going to be just fine.

447. Can I help you?

448. Yes, we'd like to have a word with Mr. Phillips.

449. I'm his daughter.

450. What is this about?

451. We're with the FBI.

452. We, uh, have a few questions

453. concerning his medical treatment.

454. He's in there packing right now.

455. I'm about to take him home.

456. Is there anything I can help you with?

457. It's sad.

458. My two little girls won't even visit their grandfather.

459. My two little girls won't even visit their grandfather.

460. They're too afraid to even come here.

461. It's hard for anyone to be here, including the residents.

462. That's why Jack and I decided

463. that no matter what time he's got left,

464. we want him to spend it with us.

465. How many years has he been here?

466. Almost three.

467. But we didn't have any choice.

468. Jack and I both work.

469. The doctor said that he needed 24-hour nursing assistance.

470. He doesn't seem to need much assistance now.

471. Has his improvement been that pronounced?

472. I thought I was bringing him here to die.

473. I thought I was bringing him here to die.

474. They told me he'd only get worse.

475. The physical deterioration, the dementia.

476. And now it's like... like he's a different person.

477. Do you have any idea why?

478. I suppose it has something to do with Dr. Grago's treatment.

479. Dad won't talk to me about it.

480. He's just too angry.

481. Oh, he was so angry

482. when I brought him here in the first place,

483. and now he's angry that I want to take him home.

484. I don't know that he's ever going to forgive me.

485. You know, I'd like to say I'm going to miss you, Stan,

486. You know, I'd like to say I'm going to miss you, Stan,

487. but the truth is, you are a royal pain in the butt.

488. Hey! Where you going?

489. Don't make me chase you, old man.

490. Hey!

491. What are you, a track star, all of a sudden?

492. Okay, stop messing around, Stan.

493. You crawl back in that window right now.

494. You crawl back in there.

495. Don't think I'm coming over there to get you.

496. I'd just as soon let you fall and break your neck.

497. Do you hear me, Stan?

498. You hear me?

499. Help me!

500. Somebody help me, please!

501. I'm going to fall!

502. Help!

503. Help me!

504. Give me your hand.

505. Come on. I can't.

506. Come on!

507. Grab it. I can't!

508. Oh, my God.

509. They paged me this morning.

510. I got a message an orderly fell

511. out a fourth-floor window? Apparently.

512. Either that or he was pushed.

513. Was Stan involved?

514. That's what we're trying to determine.

515. Stan was with him just prior to the accident.

516. You're not suggesting he could have done it?

517. There have been two deaths here in the past 24 hours.

518. Stan's been present before both of them.

519. Stan's been present before both of them.

520. No, no.

521. That's impossible.

522. Stan Phillips has a degenerative hip disease.

523. There's no way he could even get up to

524. the fourth floor on his own. What about an elevator?

525. The elevators in this place haven't worked for years.

526. Maybe he was helped.

527. Helped? By whom?

528. I don't know.

529. Uh, the postmortem on Hal Arden— did you get it yet?

530. No, not yet, but they promise they'll fax it to me today.

531. Can we check and see if it's come in?

532. Sure. Just what do you expect to find?

533. Sure. Just what do you expect to find?

534. I'm not sure exactly.

535. Why are they questioning him?

536. It's routine procedure.

537. Are they going to want to keep him here?

538. You'll have to ask Dr. Grago.

539. I...

540. God. If my mother was alive...

541. Well, how am I supposed to handle

542. Well, how am I supposed to handle

543. the whole floor by myself?

544. I don't know, Michelle. I have other things

545. to deal with right now. Yes, well, so do I,

546. and I would just like some help, please. Excuse me.

547. Are you the only one on?

548. Yes. Upshaw never showed up for work last night.

549. I mean, nobody's ever listening to me around here.

550. I said there was something going on,

551. and I told you it had to do with Mr. Arden and Mr. Phillips.

552. Just forget it.

553. Can you please explain to me what's going on around here?

554. Shoo! Shoo!

555. Shoo! Shoo!

556. Go away!

557. Go, go away!

558. Leave me alone!

559. Go back!

560. Don't come any closer!

561. Go back in your room, Dorothy.

562. If you need something, I'll send an orderly in to see you.

563. No, no, th-they're in there.

564. Who?

565. All of them.

566. There's nobody in your room, Dorothy.

567. Here they come.

568. You'll see.

569. All right, now, y-you be nice.

570. All right, now, y-you be nice.

571. I don't want any more of your dirty tricks.

572. Is she going to be all right?

573. No!

574. No, no, no, no, I don't want to go back in there!

575. No!

576. No, I don't want to go back in there.

577. It's senile dementia.

578. This is just an episode.

579. You leave her be.

580. (eerie voices whispering) D-Don't you touch her.

581. Now, shoo!

582. Go away, go away, go away!

583. Don't you get any ideas, mister.

584. Excuse me.

585. Now don't you follow her!

586. This is it.

587. Is the toxicology there?

588. Yes.

589. There's something here that shouldn't be here.

590. What's that?

591. Ibotenic acid.

592. How did that get in his blood?

593. What's ibotenic acid?

594. What's ibotenic acid?

595. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's a kind of poison.

596. Mulder...

597. Scully, look at this.

598. Hal Arden had ibotenic acid

599. in his blood.

600. Somebody poisoned him.

601. Well, not necessarily.

602. This is only a trace amount.

603. But small amounts have been known to cause hallucinations,

604. which is what one of your patients

605. is having right now down the hall.

606. But where did they get it?

607. Excuse me. You've got to come quickly.

608. Oh, my God.

609. It's fantastic.

610. What's going on here?

611. Leo?

612. It's incredible.

613. You've got an Asian orderly working here.

614. What's his name?

615. Uh, Gung, I think.

616. Do you know where he is?

617. Somewhere down in the basement.

618. Upshaw.

619. You must believe me.

620. I didn't kill him.

621. But it's your mushroom crop, isn't it?

622. Yes.

623. Well, who else would have buried him there?

624. Why were you growing them?

625. For medicinal purposes.

626. Were you feeding them to the residents here?

627. Yes, but only in small amounts.

628. Why?

629. Because it makes them feel better.

630. Makes them feel better or it kills them?

631. Makes them feel better or it kills them?

632. No.

633. Exactly what kind of mushrooms are they?

634. It's from my prefecture in my country.

635. They've been used for centuries.

636. For what purpose?

637. In my country, our customs are different.

638. You're not in

639. your country now.

640. You're hired here to care for these people

641. under our guidelines.

642. Where I come from,

643. many generations live under one roof.

644. As children, our grandparents live with us.

645. As children, our grandparents live with us.

646. We feel a duty to take care of them.

647. It isn't like that in this country.

648. We respect our old people

649. as we respect our ancestors.

650. We don't send them away to die like Stan and Hal.

651. These people are given excellent medical care.

652. But they're not treated with respect.

653. Hal's family never came to visit him once.

654. And the orderlies

655. And the orderlies

656. treat the residents worse than dogs.

657. No one is mistreated here.

658. You're not here to see.

659. All right, Gung, who killed the orderly?

660. Who buried him in that room?

661. Something has gone very wrong.

662. The mushrooms we take to speak with the dead,

663. to see our ancestors in the spirit world.

664. But...

665. the spirit in this place is very angry,

666. the spirit in this place is very angry,

667. and the souls that died here continue to suffer.

668. And now they...

669. have been awakened.

670. Are you saying that a spirit killed this man Upshaw?

671. Yes.

672. They've taken revenge for their mistreatment.

673. How are the mushrooms taken?

674. Dried, mixed with many herbs, made into powder.

675. Well, I think the first thing we should do

676. Well, I think the first thing we should do

677. is make sure nobody else takes them.

678. You check on the other patients.

679. Gung, come with me.

680. Let's go.

681. Come in, please.

682. Someone's taken them all.

683. I think you're right, Scully. About?

684. I think you're right, Scully. About?

685. What's been happening here is the result of the medication,

686. but not the medication the doctor's been giving them.

687. Mulder, mushrooms aren't medication.

688. They taste good on hamburgers, but they don't raise the dead.

689. Shamans have been using them for centuries

690. to gain entrance to the spirit world.

691. I think you've been reading too much Carlos Castenada.

692. Ask any anthropologist then.

693. I know.

694. A shaman gets intoxicated,

695. he has dreams or hallucinations, and he interprets them.

696. I don't think it's any more magical than that.

697. I don't know how else to explain what's happening here.

698. I don't know how else to explain what's happening here.

699. Well, I think, if anything,

700. these mushrooms are a poison to the system,

701. and I think that's what killed Hal Arden.

702. And raped Michelle Charters and killed those two orderlies?

703. Something's been unleashed here, Scully.

704. I don't know how to explain it,

705. but it has something to do with those pills.

706. Daddy?

707. Daddy?

708. Daddy, what are you taking?

709. What are you putting in your mouth?

710. Go away!

711. You go away! Go away!

712. Go away! You leave me...

713. Leave us alone! Go on!

714. You... run.

715. Run while you can.

716. Go on, run. Run.

717. Go away. Go away!

718. You leave us alone. Go on.

719. Dorothy, I need your help!

720. Leo! You leave Leo alone!

721. Leo! You leave Leo alone!

722. You leave him alone! Leo! Leo!

723. Leo... go on.

724. Go on. You leave him... You leave...

725. Oh... oh, n-no.

726. S-Stop.

727. Stop that!

728. Help!

729. Help me, please.

730. Mulder?

731. What's going on?

732. Mulder?

733. Mulder?

734. Mulder?

735. Scully!

736. Turn off the water main!

737. Turn off the water main!

738. They're trapped in the bathroom, and it's filling with water.

739. What?

740. Where's the main water shutoff?

741. I don't know.

742. Gung will know.

743. Keep trying the door.

744. You've got to get up.

745. You've got to get up.

746. Come on, you got to get up.

747. It's stuck.

748. See if you can find something to force it with.

749. Okay.

750. I can't open the drains.

751. Please! Please, my father needs help.

752. My father took something. I'm afraid he's dying.

753. You stay with him. I'll get help.

754. Dr. Grago!

755. Dr. Grago.

756. It's sealed tight.

757. Do you have any atropine in your kit here?

758. Uh, I might.

759. Yes, I think so.

760. Stan Phillips has gone into convulsions.

761. I think he might have poisoned himself.

762. It's all right. Just hold on.

763. They're gone.

764. They're gone.

765. They're all gone.

766. You okay, Mulder?

767. Yeah. Fine.

768. In response to the series of unexplained incidents

769. at the Excelsis Dei Convalescent Home,

770. the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has assumed

771. all administrative authority at the facility.

772. They've detected trace amounts of ibotenic acid

773. in more than half the residents tested,

774. though these levels have dissipated rapidly.

775. Dr. John Grago has been replaced

776. as head physician at the facility,

777. and his trial use of the drug Depranil has been suspended.

778. For his admitted part in manufacturing and distributing

779. an elicit substance, Gung Bituen was remanded

780. to the Immigration and Naturalization Service,

781. and is awaiting repatriation to Malaysia.

782. There are reportedly no efforts being made

783. to study the mushrooms.

784. The federal government

785. has settled Michelle Charters' lawsuit out of court,

786. though no clear blame has been placed.

787. Witnesses to the events have been unreliable

788. Witnesses to the events have been unreliable

789. due to dramatic relapses and a general reversal

790. in their progress with Alzheimer's disease.

791. I'm going to go now, Daddy.

792. I'll see you again soon.

793. Maybe next week.

794. CHILD I made this!
