1. Relax, they'll be here.Copy !req
2. The bank's gonna close in five minutes.Copy !req
3. - Sure it wasn't a bogus tip?
- No, it's real.Copy !req
4. I've been on this long enough.
I know the difference.Copy !req
5. Besides, I can feel it.
I can feel them. I'm inside their heads.Copy !req
6. Just as long as you keep yours!Copy !req
7. Message received, Agent Scully.
Loud and clear.Copy !req
8. Position Five, this is Agent Willis.
Do you copy?Copy !req
9. - What, are you nervous?
- Nope.Copy !req
10. I just don't want our luck to run out.Copy !req
11. Baby, you are my luck.Copy !req
12. And no matter what happens,Copy !req
13. .. whenever I look up at the stars,Copy !req
14. ..I know you're gonna be
looking up at the same ones.Copy !req
15. The same ones, baby.Copy !req
16. You make every day like New Year's Eve!Copy !req
17. Come on, people! Get down on the floor,
now! Get down on the floor!Copy !req
18. I ain't messin' around here! You! Down
on the floor, now! Now, or you're dead!Copy !req
19. Everyone! Down on the floor!
Or I'll execute every one of you! Move!Copy !req
20. Move! Put the money in the bag. Now!
Now! Move it!Copy !req
21. - Faster!
- Dupre!Copy !req
22. Drop the gun! FBI! Drop the gun!Copy !req
23. Now!Copy !req
24. Clear!Copy !req
25. Watch him carefully.
11 minutes, 55 seconds.Copy !req
26. Clear!Copy !req
27. Come on, Jack.Copy !req
28. He's been flatlined for 12 minutes.Copy !req
29. Another amp of epi,
and we'll go again at 360.Copy !req
30. Clear!Copy !req
31. Still no pulse.Copy !req
32. We've done all we can. I'm sorry.Copy !req
33. All right, let's call off.Copy !req
34. - You want me to pronounce?
- No! You can't give up on him.Copy !req
35. - It's been over 13 minutes. He's dead.
- Go up to 400.Copy !req
36. We lost him. Let him go.Copy !req
37. I'm a doctor! Go up to 400,
or I'll do it myself!Copy !req
38. Clear!Copy !req
39. Still no pulse.Copy !req
40. Give him another amp of epi intracardial
and go up to 400 again.Copy !req
41. Do it!Copy !req
42. Clear!Copy !req
43. Again!Copy !req
44. - Come on, Jack.
- Clear!Copy !req
45. Come on!Copy !req
46. We got a rhythm.
Don't ask me how, but he's back!Copy !req
47. BP's 80 over 50 and climbing. 90 over 50.Copy !req
48. Hello, Mr Goldbaum.
How are we doing tonight?Copy !req
49. I'm just going to adjust your drip.
I'll check on you again later.Copy !req
50. Any word from Willis?Copy !req
51. Still missing. He hasn't
been home or to the office.Copy !req
52. I heard something about a mutilation...Copy !req
53. Yeah. Three fingers on Dupre's left hand
were severed by surgical shears.Copy !req
54. We lifted prints. They're Willis's.Copy !req
55. He said he was chasing this guy
for almost a year?Copy !req
56. He lived the case.
It was all he ever thought about.Copy !req
57. What are you thinking?Copy !req
58. That maybe this is some kind
of post-trauma psychosis.Copy !req
59. Like the way soldiers sometimes
mutilate the body of a dead enemy.Copy !req
60. That still doesn't explain
why he would just vanish.Copy !req
61. Dupre's partner... Who was she?Copy !req
62. Lula Phillips.Copy !req
63. They met while she was serving a 10-year
sentence for manslaughter in Maryland.Copy !req
64. - He was a prison guard.
- Until the warden found out their secret.Copy !req
65. According to Lula's cell mate,
they carried on quite a torrid romance.Copy !req
66. It says here she was released
on May 2nd, 1993.Copy !req
67. One week before the first robbery
at Annapolis Savings and Loan.Copy !req
68. A 65-year-old female teller
was pistol-whipped.Copy !req
69. Died from a massive subdural haemorrhage.Copy !req
70. She didn't put the money
in the bag fast enough!Copy !req
71. - Lovely couple!
- Well, apparently they took turns.Copy !req
72. One pulling a job,
while the other one drove getaway.Copy !req
73. Between the two of them
they've killed seven peopleCopy !req
74. and got away with close to $100,000.Copy !req
75. That's a lot of money, now that
she doesn't have to split it.Copy !req
76. Well, we're putting her face out there.Copy !req
77. Local newspapers,
America's Most Wanted...Copy !req
78. Am I boring you?Copy !req
79. - They were married.
- Yeah, last May in Atlantic City. So what?Copy !req
80. So I don't think this was a
simple necrophiliac mutilation.Copy !req
81. Willis sliced and diced those fingers
to get at the wedding ring.Copy !req
82. Anybody here?Copy !req
83. Lula?Copy !req
84. Baby, baby, baby...Copy !req
85. Damn!Copy !req
86. It's a left thumb print.Copy !req
87. Look at these two bifurcations here.Copy !req
88. Whoever was holding that cleaver
used his left hand.Copy !req
89. - "Whoever"? It was Willis.
- Willis is right-handed.Copy !req
90. I checked his pistol grip at the armory.Copy !req
91. But the bank surveillance tapes
show Dupre is left-handed.Copy !req
92. I'm not sure where you're going with this.Copy !req
93. How long did Willis flatline
before you revived him?Copy !req
94. Just over 13 minutes.Copy !req
95. This EKG strip recorded
his cardiac activity at the time.Copy !req
96. In your medical opinion,
what does that look like?Copy !req
97. It could be anything.Copy !req
98. Instrument malfunction,
electrical overload...Copy !req
99. But what does it look like?Copy !req
100. Two heartbeats.Copy !req
101. Dupre and Willis went into cardiac arrest
at the exact same time, right?Copy !req
102. Right...Copy !req
103. For a period of minutes,
both men were technically dead.Copy !req
104. - Technically. But we resuscitated Willis.
- You resuscitated his body.Copy !req
105. Mulder...Copy !req
106. Two men died in that crash room, Scully.Copy !req
107. One man came back. The question is,Copy !req
108. .. which one?Copy !req
109. What can you tell me about
near-death experiences, Agent Scully?Copy !req
110. The usual stuff. The tunnel, the light, people
rising up and viewing their own bodies.Copy !req
111. As a scientist,
how do you account for the phenomenon?Copy !req
112. Some sort of dissociative
hallucinatory activity.Copy !req
113. Hm.Copy !req
114. Half of all the adults who have had a
near-death experience cannot wear a watch.Copy !req
115. The increased electrical activity in their
bodies renders the watches inoperable.Copy !req
116. I know this sounds kooky,
but, as any biologist will tell you,Copy !req
117. .. when cells die and genetic material
begins to unfold,Copy !req
118. ..a tremendous charge of energy is released.Copy !req
119. Doctor Varnes believes this is responsible...Copy !req
120. .. for the transformational nature
of the experience.Copy !req
121. People do return from the
event profoundly changed.Copy !req
122. Changed how?Copy !req
123. Personality shifts, perceived
psychic abilities, increased zest for life.Copy !req
124. What about the negative consequences?Copy !req
125. They're rare. But in the process of dying...Copy !req
126. .. there is a time
during which the body is vulnerable.Copy !req
127. - I don't understand.
- Well,Copy !req
128. .. there was a pilot in my support group
who died in a commuter plane crash,Copy !req
129. .. along with his three passengers.Copy !req
130. This was a few years ago.
Now, he recalls floating up...Copy !req
131. ..in a brilliant aura of light, and then feeling
an overwhelming need to return to his body.Copy !req
132. He was revived in the ambulance on the way
to the hospital. The only survivor.Copy !req
133. Soon after that, the visions started.Copy !req
134. Visions of making love to his wife,
in ways that weren't in his memory.Copy !req
135. Turns out that one of
the dead passengers on the planeCopy !req
136. was having an affair with his wife.Copy !req
137. The dead passenger's memory, his...Copy !req
138. .. his consciousness,
had survived through the pilot.Copy !req
139. - What happened?
- The pilot became increasingly disoriented.Copy !req
140. Schizophrenic, his doctor claims.Copy !req
141. He strangled his wife
with an extension cord.Copy !req
142. That's a nice story!Copy !req
143. I don't discount the near-death experience.
It can be explained empirically,Copy !req
144. - ..by stimulation of the temporal lobe.
- I sense a big "but" coming!Copy !req
145. I still believe that Jack's disappearance
can be explained in psychological terms.Copy !req
146. For instance?Copy !req
147. The stress of the case, the trauma
of being shot, Jack's personality...Copy !req
148. - How well do you know him?
- We dated. For almost a year.Copy !req
149. He was my instructor at the Academy.Copy !req
150. The plot thickens!Copy !req
151. We even had the same birthday.Copy !req
152. We used to celebrate in some dive
in Stafford that had a slanted pool table.Copy !req
153. But it was always so hard for Jack to...Copy !req
154. .. relax. It was impossible for him, really.Copy !req
155. He was always so... intense,
so relentlessly determined.Copy !req
156. Do you believe he's predisposed
to this type of psychotic episode?Copy !req
157. It's a long way from saying Jack
had a near-death experience...Copy !req
158. ..to saying his body's been
inhabited by Warren Dupre.Copy !req
159. A long way!Copy !req
160. What the hell...?Copy !req
161. - You're such a creature of habit, Tommy.
- Who the hell are you?Copy !req
162. - Get outta bed.
- I ain't got no clothes on.Copy !req
163. Get outta bed!
I don't wanna shoot you lying down.Copy !req
164. Who are you - the rent man? Cos I'm
all paid up. I swear. I'm not kiddin'.Copy !req
165. - Come on, you can go ask Cosmo.
- Shut up!Copy !req
166. - Where is she?
- Where's who?Copy !req
167. - Your sister.
- Huh! Lula?Copy !req
168. Look, I don't know. I don't know, I swear!
I was just waiting to see her on the news.Copy !req
169. What'd I tell you?Copy !req
170. Check it out.Copy !req
171. The sound's busted.Copy !req
172. Looks like they're gonna find her
before you do, pal!Copy !req
173. Is that what you think?
It's not what I think.Copy !req
174. I miss her, Tommy.Copy !req
175. I miss her so bad!Copy !req
176. That's why I came back.Copy !req
177. - Do I know you from somewhere?
- Everything I see,Copy !req
178. ..I see her.Copy !req
179. Jesus, man! You're bleeding.Copy !req
180. Even ugliness is beautiful... because of her.Copy !req
181. - OK, what are you doing?
- You set us up, Tommy.Copy !req
182. You sold us out to the FBI!Copy !req
183. Dupre?Copy !req
184. Neighbours heard a gunshot,
but nobody checked it out.Copy !req
185. Patrol guys responded this morning
to an anonymous 911 and found him here.Copy !req
186. Except the rats found him first.
The victim's name was Thomas Phillips.Copy !req
187. That's Lula's brother.Copy !req
188. There's not a lot of family resemblance left,
between the rats and the.45 in the face!Copy !req
189. - Oh, I hate this nicotine stuff.
- What's the story?Copy !req
190. Oh, he's single. He's lived here
alone for the past seven months.Copy !req
191. A few priors - small stuff, mostly.
B and E, narcotics possession.Copy !req
192. Nothing like his big sister.Copy !req
193. - Was the TV on when they found him?
- No. Why?Copy !req
194. I don't think Tommy was much of a reader,
since he doesn't have any books.Copy !req
195. From the position of the body,Copy !req
196. I'd say maybe he was watching
the tube when he was shot.Copy !req
197. - Print kit's over there. Knock yourself out!
- Get out of my way, Ace!Copy !req
198. Regulations state, to gain access
to a crime scene, you gotta show ID!Copy !req
199. Looks like you were right.Copy !req
200. Excuse me.Copy !req
201. Jack...Copy !req
202. Is there a problem here?Copy !req
203. No, I just, uh... I don't have any ID.Copy !req
204. Would you tell this gentleman who I am?Copy !req
205. Officer, this is Agent Jack Willis.Copy !req
206. Violent Crimes Section
of the Washington Bureau.Copy !req
207. Come on, let's talk out here.Copy !req
208. I was just doing my job, miss!Copy !req
209. Willis, what happened? Half the Bureau's
been looking for you. Where have you been?Copy !req
210. I don't know. I just... wasn't myself.
I just kinda... woke up out on the street!Copy !req
211. - I'm taking you back to the hospital.
- No way! I'm staying right here!Copy !req
212. - You're not ready to be here.
- Who says?Copy !req
213. Jack, you're recovering
from a major trauma.Copy !req
214. It's a miracle you're even able to walk!Copy !req
215. - This is Tommy Phillips' place, right?
- Jack...Copy !req
216. Was he killed with a.45?Copy !req
217. As a matter of fact, he was.Copy !req
218. He was! That's Lula's weapon of choice.Copy !req
219. I know these people. I've been after them
for a long time. We're halfway there!Copy !req
220. - You did open the book on this one.
- And I'll be there when it's closed!Copy !req
221. All right.Copy !req
222. But, as a colleague and as a friend,Copy !req
223. ..I recommend you have a full medical
evaluation. Physical and psychological.Copy !req
224. All right, fair enough.Copy !req
225. Jack! Good to see you back
among the living.Copy !req
226. - It's good to be back.
- Jack.Copy !req
227. - So what have we got here?
- Mulder here found a print on the TV.Copy !req
228. A partial oblique. And it's not the victim's.Copy !req
229. Good work, Agent Mulder. I'm impressed!Copy !req
230. That's fancy shooting.Copy !req
231. I gotta get re-certified before
they give me my weapon back.Copy !req
232. Well, by the looks of it, I wouldn't
worry about re-certification.Copy !req
233. - Is there anything else you wanted?
- Yeah, it's Scully's birthday.Copy !req
234. I was wondering if you'd sign that for me.Copy !req
235. Sure! Be glad to.Copy !req
236. Always glad to celebrate the good times.Copy !req
237. There you go!Copy !req
238. Happy birthday, Scully.Copy !req
239. You're two months early.Copy !req
240. It's from Willis. I thought you two
had the same birthday?Copy !req
241. - We do.
- Well, that's news to him.Copy !req
242. I asked him to sign it.
And he signed it with his left hand.Copy !req
243. You tested him.Copy !req
244. Yeah. I found out evidence from
the Phillips murder is missing.Copy !req
245. - What evidence?
- The print we lifted. Our best lead is gone.Copy !req
246. Someone stole it before the lab
had a chance to take a look at it.Copy !req
247. - And you think Willis is responsible?
- I'm not sure Willis is Willis.Copy !req
248. Can you at least accept the possibility...Copy !req
249. .. that, during his near-death experience,
psychic transference occurred?Copy !req
250. Can't you accept the possibility
that this isn't an X-File?Copy !req
251. Aside from the expected level
of post-trauma stress,Copy !req
252. .. Jack passed both of his evaluations -
physical and psychological.Copy !req
253. Just because someone forgets a birthday,
it doesn't mean that he's been possessed!Copy !req
254. When I was studying for my medical boards,
I forgot my birthday, too!Copy !req
255. Did you forget how to sign your name?Copy !req
256. This is a copy of the automobile requisition
form Willis filed the day before he was shot.Copy !req
257. Compare the signatures.Copy !req
258. Like I said, Mulder - stress. All right?Copy !req
259. It can significantly affect
someone's cursive standard.Copy !req
260. I'm afraid this doesn't prove a thing.Copy !req
261. Agent Willis here.Copy !req
262. Jack?Copy !req
263. - Where are you going?
- We got a break!Copy !req
264. - A landlord thinks he's got our girl.
- Hotline?Copy !req
265. Yeah. Saw her picture in the post office.
There's the address.Copy !req
266. - Jack, can I ask you something?
- Yeah, sure.Copy !req
267. The Phillips murder. The print
Mulder lifted off the TV. It's missing.Copy !req
268. And?Copy !req
269. And you were carrying the evidence back.Copy !req
270. Are you implying something, Agent Scully?Copy !req
271. I don't know anything about any missing
print. Now, I'm ten minutes away...Copy !req
272. .. from closing the biggest case
of my career. Are you coming?Copy !req
273. What's the apartment number
again?Copy !req
274. 202.Copy !req
275. Oh, yeah.Copy !req
276. - What was this guy's name?
- Multrevich.Copy !req
277. Multrevich?Copy !req
278. All right, all right, all right!Copy !req
279. Mr Multrevich, I'm from the FBI. Jack Willis.Copy !req
280. - We spoke on the phone, right?
- Oh, yeah.Copy !req
281. Have you ever seen this lady?Copy !req
282. Yeah. 207. Two days ago.Copy !req
283. First and last month - cash.Copy !req
284. - Where's 207?
- Down the hallway.Copy !req
285. We want you to go back
inside your apartment...Copy !req
286. .. and stay away from the windows. Thanks.Copy !req
287. Where's our backup?
You said you called them, right?Copy !req
288. Should've been here ten minutes ago.
She may be running down a fire escape!Copy !req
289. I'm gonna call in again.Copy !req
290. Look! That's her!Copy !req
291. - Where is she? Where'd she go?
- I'll check back here.Copy !req
292. Yeeargghhh!Copy !req
293. Face down! Face down!Copy !req
294. Hands behind your back!Copy !req
295. Now!Copy !req
296. She's all yours, Jack.Copy !req
297. Yeah... Like a dog on a leash.Copy !req
298. I already cuffed her.Copy !req
299. They're for you, Scully. Put 'em on.Copy !req
300. - What's going on, Jack?
- Put 'em on. Or I'll blow you in half.Copy !req
301. Jack”.Copy !req
302. Shut up! Put 'em on!Copy !req
303. Come on, baby.Copy !req
304. Come on, get up, baby.Copy !req
305. Look at you...Copy !req
306. Your face is all dirty.Copy !req
307. - Keep your stinking hands off me!
- Baby!Copy !req
308. You ain't gonna believe where I've been.Copy !req
309. Sure it's crazy. You don't think
I know it's crazy? This isn't my face!Copy !req
310. These aren't my hands!Copy !req
311. But it's me in here! And I know you.Copy !req
312. I know everything about you, baby.Copy !req
313. Come on, ask me something.Copy !req
314. Your birthday is April 7th.
Your favourite colour is red.Copy !req
315. Come on...Copy !req
316. Come on, ask me something else.
Come on, ask me!Copy !req
317. OK... OK, what did we do
after we got married?Copy !req
318. Right after?Copy !req
319. - After that.
- Well... we went down to the beach.Copy !req
320. I took out my buck knife
and I sliced open my palm.Copy !req
321. And then I slit open your palm.Copy !req
322. And we let the blood drip
down in the water.Copy !req
323. - Then what did you say to me?
- I said...Copy !req
324. .."This is so we can be married
in all the oceans of the world."Copy !req
325. And then I made you a solemn oath.Copy !req
326. To never take this ring off my finger.Copy !req
327. EvenCopy !req
328. And I mean to keep that promise.Copy !req
329. This is... This is just too weird!Copy !req
330. I can't believe it's really you!Copy !req
331. Don't worry, baby.Copy !req
332. It won't make any difference in the dark.Copy !req
333. - We'll be in touch.
- When do I get my reward?Copy !req
334. We'll call you.Copy !req
335. Now I'm worried. 12 hours with no word?Copy !req
336. I don't get it. Why's her car still sitting out
front? Why didn't Willis call for backup?Copy !req
337. Because it wasn't Willis
who answered the hotline.Copy !req
338. - You heard the recording. It was his voice.
- Forget it, Bruskin.Copy !req
339. Plus which... the manager
just ID'd him and Scully.Copy !req
340. I said, forget it, Bruskin!Copy !req
341. This isn't one of your X-File theories, is it?Copy !req
342. It doesn't matter what I think.
We're still after the same thing.Copy !req
343. - Mulder.
- FBI centrex operator. Please hold.Copy !req
344. - Yeah.
- Guess who, Ace.Copy !req
345. Willis?Copy !req
346. That depends on who you ask, don't it?Copy !req
347. Where's Scully?Copy !req
348. You're the FBI!Copy !req
349. You figure it out!Copy !req
350. Let me talk to her.Copy !req
351. Yeah, sure.Copy !req
352. - Mulder...
- Dana, are you OK?Copy !req
353. - Don't...
- Dana?Copy !req
354. OK!Copy !req
355. That's it! Goodbye!Copy !req
356. It's not gonna work, Jack.Copy !req
357. You don't think so?Copy !req
358. Bureau policy prohibits
negotiating with kidnappers.Copy !req
359. But you already know that, don't you, Jack?Copy !req
360. Stop calling me that!Copy !req
361. Your name is Jack Willis.
You were born February 23, 1957.Copy !req
362. - You live at 51 Stanhope...
- My name is Warren James Dupre!Copy !req
363. And I was born in Clammouth Falls,
Oregon, in the Year of the Rat!Copy !req
364. We spent a weekend up at Pine Barrens.Copy !req
365. You taught me how to fish through the ice.Copy !req
366. It was your parents' cabin.
Jack, try to remember.Copy !req
367. We drove up in a snowstorm.Copy !req
368. Come on, Jack!Copy !req
369. Don't think I didn't see what you did!Copy !req
370. I was like a little slip of paper,
up there on that hospital ceiling.Copy !req
371. - I saw everything.
- What did you see?Copy !req
372. You left me to die on that table,
while you tried to save your friend!Copy !req
373. - You are my friend!
- Too bad he was gone already.Copy !req
374. I watched him go. Just saw him slip away
down that long, black tunnel.Copy !req
375. No. We brought you back.Copy !req
376. You shot me dead!Copy !req
377. And then you let me die.Copy !req
378. No. You won't kill me, Jack.Copy !req
379. You call me that one more time,Copy !req
380. .. and I'll make you stone cold.Copy !req
381. Easy, baby. Easy! Not yet.Copy !req
382. Remember, she's our ticket.Copy !req
383. Hey!Copy !req
384. - Got any more of this soda?
- You just drank the last of it.Copy !req
385. Soda...?Copy !req
386. How much of that have you had?Copy !req
387. - What's it to you?
- Jack Willis is diabetic.Copy !req
388. Which means that you are. Too much sugar
in the system could lead to hyperglycaemia.Copy !req
389. Maybe that's why
your stomach's hurting so bad.Copy !req
390. Abdominal pain is the first sign
of impending diabetic coma.Copy !req
391. You need insulin.Copy !req
392. I feel myself getting into their heads,
and I'm scared by what I'm feeling.Copy !req
393. The intoxicating freedom that comes from
disconnecting action and consequence.Copy !req
394. Theirs is a world where nothing
matters but their own needs,Copy !req
395. .. their own impossible appetites.Copy !req
396. And while the pleasure they derive
from acts of violence is clearly sexual...Copy !req
397. ..it also speaks to what
Warden Jackson calledCopy !req
398. their "operatic devotion to each other".Copy !req
399. It's a love affair... I almost envy.Copy !req
400. Cadenceville PD just reported
a drugstore was broken into here,Copy !req
401. .. on the corner of
Old Forge Road and Madison.Copy !req
402. I'm betting that Scully is somewhere
within this five-mile radius.Copy !req
403. - Am I missing something?
- 200 units of NPH insulin were taken.Copy !req
404. Willis is diabetic.Copy !req
405. Get me a census report. Let's see
how many households we're talking about.Copy !req
406. Quick, quick, quick!
My legs are starting to go numb!Copy !req
407. Hold on...Copy !req
408. - What the hell...?
- Drop the needle.Copy !req
409. - Without this medicine, he dies.
- Yeah! So you said.Copy !req
410. Now... put it down.Copy !req
411. Unless you want me
to put you down with it.Copy !req
412. What the hell are you doing?Copy !req
413. I need that medicine!Copy !req
414. - You still haven't figured it out, have you?
- Figured what out?Copy !req
415. It wasn't my brother who set you up!Copy !req
416. You?Copy !req
417. Yeah... Me.Copy !req
418. How do you think I got away so clean?Copy !req
419. The minute you stepped into that bank,
I was out of there.Copy !req
420. I got the money and I got rid of you!Copy !req
421. At least, I thought I did.Copy !req
422. Agh...Copy !req
423. Tactical room. This is it!Copy !req
424. Mulder.Copy !req
425. - Listen carefully.
- Where's Willis?Copy !req
426. - Oh, he's here somewhere.
- Let me talk to Scully.Copy !req
427. Not this time.Copy !req
428. We don't deal unless we know Scully's alive.Copy !req
429. She's alive.Copy !req
430. She's not happy, but... she's alive.Copy !req
431. You listen to me. You lay one hand
on Scully, and so help me God...Copy !req
432. If I were you, I'd stop talking
and start passing around the collection hat.Copy !req
433. Cos if you ever wanna see Scully again,
it's gonna cost you a million dollars.Copy !req
434. Have it by this time tomorrow.
I'll tell you when and where.Copy !req
435. We got it. It's a 202 number.Copy !req
436. - Great!
- It's coming through.Copy !req
437. - Here it is.
- Get the address.Copy !req
438. - Forget it.
- Why?Copy !req
439. It's Scully's cellular number.Copy !req
440. They're using her phone.
We can't trace them.Copy !req
441. She's not happy, but... she's alive.Copy !req
442. If I were you, I'd stop talking
and start passing around the collection hat.Copy !req
443. - That last part?
- Yeah. Squelch the voice even more.Copy !req
444. Yeah.Copy !req
445. Done.Copy !req
446. If I were you, I'd stop talking
and start passing around the collection hat.Copy !req
447. Yep. Yep! There's something there.Copy !req
448. Definitely something at the high end.Copy !req
449. Let me throw on an extra Z-14 filter...
and isolate everything over half a decibel.Copy !req
450. If I were you, I'd stop talking
and start passing around the collection hat.Copy !req
451. There. That engine sound.Copy !req
452. Let's clean it up some more!Copy !req
453. If I were you, I'd stop talking and...Copy !req
454. Is that a small plane?Copy !req
455. Taking off, by the sound of it.Copy !req
456. Give me a minute to guess
the altitude within 200ft!Copy !req
457. Great!Copy !req
458. All right, people! Settle down, grab a seat.
Mulder says he's got something.Copy !req
459. What? An alien virus, or new information
on the Kennedy assassination?Copy !req
460. Hey, Mulder's all right.Copy !req
461. Pay attention,
you might learn something from the man.Copy !req
462. From our last phone contact, we've
identified what sounds like light aircraft.Copy !req
463. Now, Washington County Regional Airport
happens to fall within our area.Copy !req
464. Since takeoffs are north to south,Copy !req
465. ..it's a fair bet that our target area
lies along this flight path.Copy !req
466. For those who remember math, that gives
us an area of three square miles to cover.Copy !req
467. Roughly 1,000 households.Copy !req
468. With 100 law enforcement officials,Copy !req
469. ..at about 30 households per man per hour,Copy !req
470. we can canvass the entire area
in three hours.Copy !req
471. Bruskin will grid the target area
and divide it among the teams.Copy !req
472. For those of you... who don't know
already, this one's important to me.Copy !req
473. So, um... let's do it right. Thanks.Copy !req
474. Let me see Steinberg, Calder, Westin,
Stipley and Mackowitz...Copy !req
475. - Scully?
- Huh?Copy !req
476. Was there snow?Copy !req
477. Yes... Jack.Copy !req
478. There was lots of snow.Copy !req
479. - I can't...
- It was December.Copy !req
480. It was the weekend after Thanksgiving.Copy !req
481. I remember...Copy !req
482. ..a red stove.Copy !req
483. Yeah... That's right.Copy !req
484. There was a... There was a wood-burning
stove right in the middle of the room.Copy !req
485. Cold, hm?Copy !req
486. - Yeah.
- So cold...Copy !req
487. I remember... I had to wrap you
in a blanket...Copy !req
488. .. when the wood ran out.Copy !req
489. Yeah.Copy !req
490. No... Jack! Don't close your eyes.Copy !req
491. Come on, keep talking.Copy !req
492. Jack, keep talking! Come on!Copy !req
493. Down on the floor, now!
Now, or you're dead!Copy !req
494. - I'm gonna execute every one of you!
- No!Copy !req
495. No!Copy !req
496. Shut up and do it!Copy !req
497. Just a second! Who is it?Copy !req
498. It's Brother Tate. Could I speak with
you for just one moment, please?Copy !req
499. What do you want?Copy !req
500. Just a few minutes of your time, ma'am.
Beautiful day, isn't it?Copy !req
501. I wonder if I can interest you
in the word of the Lord?Copy !req
502. Leather-bound, in black or red. Your choice.Copy !req
503. Go away!Copy !req
504. This is 1-4. Target sighted.Copy !req
505. Well... I guess it's time to make that call.Copy !req
506. He's dead.Copy !req
507. It's all on you now.Copy !req
508. He's dead because of you.Copy !req
509. Well...Copy !req
510. Guess it's over.Copy !req
511. Whoever you are.Copy !req
512. - Agh!
- Don't move!Copy !req
513. - Jack!
- Shut up!Copy !req
514. I love you.Copy !req
515. Don't you know?Copy !req
516. You're why I came back.Copy !req
517. This is Westin.Copy !req
518. They've battened down the hatches.
No clear shot from this side.Copy !req
519. What about you guys?Copy !req
520. Ditto. Hold your positions
and keep radios at two.Copy !req
521. - How do we look?
- Backup's in.Copy !req
522. - But we still don't know what's going on.
- We will soon enough.Copy !req
523. I kept a bottle of medicine
in the other room. I'll go get it.Copy !req
524. What do you say, huh?Copy !req
525. I'll get it for you.Copy !req
526. Look! Look! Look!Copy !req
527. Look, I love you.Copy !req
528. - I love you, baby.
- No...Copy !req
529. Listen! Listen, we... we still have her.Copy !req
530. We can get away with this.Copy !req
531. I don't think so, baby. Not this time.Copy !req
532. Jack, put the gun down!Copy !req
533. You remember that... that
light that I talked about?Copy !req
534. - No...
- It's beautiful.Copy !req
535. There's nothing to be afraid of.Copy !req
536. - No!
- FBI!Copy !req
537. Freeze!Copy !req
538. Jack!Copy !req
539. FBI!Copy !req
540. Scully. Are you OK?Copy !req
541. Jack?Copy !req
542. Hi. I got this from the morgue, along
with the rest of his personal effects.Copy !req
543. - I thought you might want it.
- Mm.Copy !req
544. "Happy 35th. Love D."Copy !req
545. I got it for him three years ago.Copy !req
546. Next of kin?Copy !req
547. Uh... no.Copy !req
548. Jack was an only child.
His parents died when he was in college.Copy !req
549. There's a... kid over in Parklawn.Copy !req
550. Jack's been his big brother,
so I'm going to go and see him tomorrow.Copy !req
551. - What am I gonna tell him?
- The official story.Copy !req
552. Which is?Copy !req
553. Fugitive Lula Phillips died in
a shoot-out with federal agents.Copy !req
554. It also resulted in the death of Special Agent
Jack Willis - killed in the line of duty.Copy !req
555. What am I supposed to tell myself?Copy !req
556. Good night.Copy !req
557. It's not working. It stopped.Copy !req
558. At 6.47.Copy !req
559. The exact time that Jack
went into cardiac arrest at the hospital.Copy !req
560. What does that mean?Copy !req
561. It means...Copy !req
562. It means whatever you want it to mean.Copy !req
563. Good night.Copy !req
564. I made this!Copy !req
