6. Oh, yeah.Copy !req
7. That's a popular one.Copy !req
8. Who was it that passed,
a relation?Copy !req
9. Naw, we worked

15. I think i'm on it.Copy !req
16. Follow me.Copy !req
17. Hell, yeah, see,

18. That gat-an-grip thing
over there sells a lot.Copy !req
19. We can do that in white,
or red, or pink carnations.Copy !req
20. Pink?Copy !req
21. Your boy was too fierce
for the pink?Copy !req
22. Naw, he wasn't
all that.Copy !req
23. But damn, you know when
you stand with a nigga,Copy !req
24. You stand with him
'til the end, otherwise...Copy !req
25. Otherwise you ain't
nothin' yourself.Copy !req
26. True that.Copy !req
27. How your boy fall?Copy !req
28. Hung hisself.Copy !req

31. I guess he couldn't handle
all them years, you know?Copy !req
32. It's a weak-ass nigger
when you think about it.Copy !req
33. But, ain't no reason
to drag his name down
no further, you know?Copy !req
34. I'll tell you what.Copy !req
35. Let me get something
in strong colors, right.Copy !req
36. Red, black, whatever,
but make it look likeCopy !req
37. One of them towers down
on franklin terrace, you know?Copy !req
38. The high-rises, right.Copy !req
39. You want the arrangement
to look like a high-rise
housing project?Copy !req
40. Hell, yeah.
Yeah.Copy !req
41. And put the numbers 221 in
big-ass numbers on the front.Copy !req
42. All right?Copy !req
43. He used to had that
fremont tower for a while.Copy !req
44. 221, all right.Copy !req
45. Anything else
you want it to say?Copy !req
46. Like what?Copy !req
47. "rest in peace,"
"in remembrance,"
something like that?Copy !req
48. Something that says how
you feel about the loss?Copy !req
49. Look, man, fuck it,
a'ight, just, uh...Copy !req
50. Just make sure the towers

51. A'ight.Copy !req
52. Thanks.Copy !req
53. You cloned a what?Copy !req
54. A computer.Copy !req
55. We can watch how cargo comes
off the ship in real time,Copy !req
56. Try to follow the contraband,
see where it leads.Copy !req
57. We're running
a 25-murder-a-month
mash unit hereCopy !req
58. And you guys wanna
slow things down a bitCopy !req
59. And do a little bit
of brain surgery.Copy !req
60. If rawls comes walking through
here and sees the two of youCopy !req
61. Hunched over playing videogames
on 14 open murders,Copy !req
62. He's gonna
fuckin' blow!Copy !req
63. That is exactly why
we asked lieutenant danielsCopy !req
64. To set us up at his off-site,
over in the southeast.Copy !req
65. They're looking at
the dock boys for other shit,Copy !req
66. Drugs mostly.Copy !req
67. Daniels, who used
to be in narcotics?Copy !req
68. Yeah.Copy !req
69. If daniels has a detail
set up already,Copy !req
70. Maybe he takes
the murders, too.Copy !req
71. He ain't no fool, jay.Copy !req
72. He's just giving us
a room with no view is all.Copy !req
73. That was approval,
right?Copy !req
74. He just gave approval
to go ahead with this?Copy !req
75. I don't know.Copy !req
76. So what's next?Copy !req
77. Next is for us
to get them dock boysCopy !req
78. Back to thinking
that we've gone away.Copy !req
79. I mean, we spooked 'em right
good with that grand jury shit.Copy !req
80. If we're gonna
set up on 'em,Copy !req
81. They need to think
that we ain't gonna
be a problem no more.Copy !req
82. How are they
gonna think that?Copy !req
83. Naw, see, that ain't
the way it work, yo.Copy !req
84. It ain't.Copy !req
85. 'cause like i'm
the one out here all day
takin' the chance, right?Copy !req
86. I'm sayin', police

87. It ain't gonna be you
that catch no charge.Copy !req
88. So, least-wise,

100. I'm talkin' "raised on
rapolla street white,"Copy !req
101. Where your mama used to drag
you down to st. Casimir'sCopy !req
102. Just like all the other
little pisspants on the block.Copy !req
103. Second,
i'm also white.Copy !req
104. Not "hang-on-the-corner,
don't-give-a-fuck white,"Copy !req
105. But "locust point
ibs local 47 white."Copy !req
106. I don't work without
no fuckin' contract,Copy !req
107. And i don't stand
around listenin' to
horseshit excusesCopy !req
108. Like my cousin ziggy,
who, by the way,Copy !req
109. Is still owed money
by you and all your down,
street-wise whiggers.Copy !req
110. You go in your pocket,
come up with 500 in advanceCopy !req
111. And the 210
that you owe to zig,Copy !req
112. You can work my package.Copy !req
113. I'm sayin',

114. The dimes that moochie
was slingin'?Copy !req
115. The shit was good.Copy !req
116. Moochie sold out quick.Copy !req
117. All right.Copy !req
118. I'm sayin, i'm gonna

with the dollars.Copy !req
119. Keep it real, yo.Copy !req
120. Whatever.Copy !req
121. Yo.Copy !req
122. Everything
to your satisfaction?Copy !req
123. Yeah, you on it.Copy !req
124. Prison people

131. You're right.Copy !req
132. It ain't none

133. And if i were you,Copy !req
134. I wouldn't want
a word of this mess up
in avon's ear.Copy !req
135. Baltimore niggas

he had to stand on his own.Copy !req
143. You know this.Copy !req
144. Man, fuck him.Copy !req
145. He knew when he hung himself
how we was gonna carry it.Copy !req
146. He knew when he did that that
we was gonna be in a moment,Copy !req
147. Like this, right now.Copy !req
148. He knew that.Copy !req
149. That nigga did that shit
to hurt me, man.Copy !req
150. But, you know, man,
dee was just fuckin' weak.Copy !req
151. I tried to crimp him along
since he was a shorty.Copy !req
152. Nigga, you see me.
I try to bring him up,

153. You was good to him,

154. I was.Copy !req
155. Yo, man, it's sad

170. Of the modern urban
crime environment.Copy !req
171. Let me show ya.Copy !req
172. Okay, fellas,

173. Smaller than a 22Copy !req
174. And it's got a clear

196. Get what we need
and bring it back.Copy !req
197. I gave your man
some room is all.Copy !req
198. You gave him a home.Copy !req
199. Detective moreland's target
looks to be the same as yours.Copy !req
200. No.Copy !req
201. Yes.Copy !req
202. You could take
these 14 homicidesCopy !req
203. And turn that
half-assed detailCopy !req
204. You got going into
something that matters.Copy !req
205. And i'll be honest,
you solve the murders,Copy !req
206. I'll love you
for the stats.Copy !req
207. And if you don't,
i've made it so
the homicide unitCopy !req
208. Doesn't have to bear
the whole brunt of a lower
clearance rate.Copy !req
209. It's win-win for me.Copy !req
210. No.Copy !req
211. Come on, lieutenant.Copy !req
212. A good turn here
will not be forgotten.Copy !req
213. I'm trying to dig myself
out of the basementCopy !req
214. With something simple
and clean here.Copy !req
215. Drug arrests,
maybe a prostitution
bust if i get luckyCopy !req
216. And i'm out from under
with burrell.Copy !req
217. Sorry, colonel.Copy !req
218. You keep the murders
and my ass stays covered.Copy !req
219. Smarter than he looks.Copy !req
220. Where's your friend?Copy !req
221. Who's that?Copy !req
222. The black fella,

224. Yeah?Copy !req
225. Yeah, you all

229. Yeah, the usual.Copy !req
230. Except i won't be around

244. Shit's hypnotic.Copy !req
245. Boring, too.Copy !req
246. You make

247. Let everyone working
see me in that radio car.Copy !req
248. Is that
the valiparaso?Copy !req
249. Mmm-hmm.Copy !req
250. It ain't a talco line ship,
doesn't have horseface workin.Copy !req
251. Probably wasting half a day
watching it offload.Copy !req
252. Yeah, we should be
at the bar by now.Copy !req
253. Nothing's wasted.Copy !req
254. I'm getting a feel
for this shit.Copy !req
255. How it plays and works
without the dirt.Copy !req
256. So when
they lose a can...Copy !req
257. I see it go.Copy !req
258. Gentlemen.Copy !req
259. Ladies.Copy !req
260. The future is now.Copy !req
261. To bring goods
to an exploding global economyCopy !req
262. And to deliver those goods
faster, cheaper and safer,Copy !req
263. Modern robotics
do much of the workCopy !req
264. In the world's largest
seaport, rotterdam.Copy !req
265. Moving cargo is a traditional
strength of the dutchCopy !req
266. Who shuttle more freight
in fewer man hoursCopy !req
267. Than any port
in the world.Copy !req
268. And now, the dutch have modeled
the future of cargo management.Copy !req
269. Completely containerized
cargo arrives and departsCopy !req
270. On ships a third
of a mile long,Copy !req
271. 24 hours a day
with short turnaround.Copy !req
272. Smart card technology
provides greater securityCopy !req
273. And improved
accountabilityCopy !req
274. With no need for unreliable
human surveillance.Copy !req
275. Hey, yo, frog, man, we light
five caps is all, man.Copy !req
276. I'm sayin', you gettin'
all ridiculous over bits
and pieces.Copy !req
277. Ya feelin' me?Copy !req
278. Naw, nigga, it's the
principle of the thing.Copy !req
279. I mean, it's like you

280. And at the end of the day,
the shit just add up.Copy !req
281. Mad dawg gonna roll up

284. Hey, carv.Copy !req
285. Isn't technology
the fucking bomb?Copy !req
286. Huh?Copy !req
287. And global positioning systems
guide each containerCopy !req
288. To its proper spot
on board or on the docks,Copy !req
289. While state of the art
computers track shipments
in every part—Copy !req
290. Some of the systems
you're seeing have already
been upgraded.Copy !req
291. Rotterdam now works 350 million
tons of cargo annually,Copy !req
292. Leaving singapore
a distant second.Copy !req
293. What kinda man hours
are the stevedores
clockin' over there?Copy !req
294. You know, um, i don't
have those figures handy.Copy !req
295. I'm sorry.Copy !req
296. But rotterdam does
employ 4,000 people.Copy !req
297. 4,000 people to move
350 million tons a year?Copy !req
298. That's right.Copy !req
299. That's efficiency, nat.Copy !req
300. By eliminating some of
the more dangerous work,Copy !req
301. The rotterdam technologies
have reducedCopy !req
302. Employee work-related accidents
and injuries by 60%.Copy !req
303. I think we can all be pretty
happy with that, can't we?Copy !req
304. Question, yes?Copy !req
305. Yeah, the gps readings

306. You can't get hurt if

334. Fuck if you ain't handle
that business better, too.Copy !req
335. Zig, we're
making money.Copy !req
336. It's your move, nicky.Copy !req
337. Fuck it.Copy !req
338. I got other issues
right now.Copy !req
339. Paternity?Copy !req
340. Priscilla katlow?Copy !req
341. Oh Jesus, zig.Copy !req
342. You knocked up
prissy katlow?Copy !req
343. I only fucked
her once.Copy !req
344. Christ, everybody
down the point fucked
her the once, zig.Copy !req
345. How you know
it's yours?Copy !req
346. You call this lawyer?Copy !req
347. Figured i'd
get drunk first.Copy !req
348. That's a good plan.Copy !req
349. Russians?Copy !req
350. Lotta girls.Copy !req
351. Pretty ones.Copy !req
352. Most of 'em had some
kind of accent anyway.Copy !req
353. I guess shardene's friend
hooked us up good.Copy !req
354. Who's in charge?Copy !req
355. Well, you got
the club people, i guess.Copy !req
356. And there's some woman
i seen go into the back room.Copy !req
357. She looks a
little bit older.Copy !req
358. I couldn't get close enough
to say much about her.Copy !req
359. She looks about 40.Copy !req
360. So...Copy !req
361. Grab any ass, prez?Copy !req
362. What i'm saying is
i've sorted it out for us.Copy !req
363. I have.Copy !req
364. For us?Copy !req
365. When i was in the basement,
it made sense to quit.Copy !req
366. It did.Copy !req
367. But once burrell
reached out—Copy !req
368. But burrell is the one
that you crossed.Copy !req
369. And he's not likely
to forget that, is he?Copy !req
370. Not to mention
what he knows about you
from the bad old days.Copy !req
371. Oh, cedric, fools
half your ageCopy !req
372. Are gonna
be major and colonelCopy !req
373. And you'll still
be thinkingCopy !req
374. That scratching out a case
or two will save you.Copy !req
375. It isn't about casework,
i know that.Copy !req
376. Just today, rawls
calls me up to cid,Copy !req
377. Asks me to take his homicides
from the dead girlsCopy !req
378. In that shipping
container.Copy !req
379. I told him, no shot.Copy !req
380. That case is a loser.Copy !req
381. And if i'm looking out
for number one,Copy !req
382. I'm gonna bring burrell
exactly what he asked for,Copy !req
383. And exactly what he needs
to make stan valchek go away.Copy !req
384. No more, no less.Copy !req
385. I'm playing
their game this time.Copy !req
386. Look, it's one thing
you taking a run at this
dredging thing.Copy !req
387. Fucked-up as you are we can
let that slide for a while,Copy !req
388. But now, man,
you asking too much.Copy !req
389. One more year, nat.Copy !req
390. Not for me,
for the fuckin' union.Copy !req
391. The election's
been scheduled.Copy !req
392. And you knew last year
when we gave you the votesCopy !req
393. That this time
was gonna be ott's turn.
You knew that.Copy !req
394. So ott runs next time
and fuck it,Copy !req
395. He'll take that year
and the next.Copy !req
396. It's our turn, frank.Copy !req
397. Black, white,
what's the difference, nat?Copy !req
398. Until we get that
fuckin' canal dredged,Copy !req
399. We're all niggers,
pardon my french.Copy !req
400. Or polacks,
pardon mine.Copy !req
401. You know what i'm sayin',
this ain't about ott.Copy !req
402. I just want one more year
to finish what i started here.Copy !req
403. One more year.Copy !req
404. Then ott stays
secretary-treasurerCopy !req
405. For the next two,
no problem.Copy !req
406. Think about it.Copy !req
407. - Man: Hello?
