1. How is she?Copy !req
2. In and out of the morphine drip.Copy !req
3. They got her stabilized is all I know.Copy !req
4. Go on in.Copy !req
5. No.Copy !req
6. Unfreeze your ass off that wall, then.Copy !req
7. Either pay your respects,
or get your head back into this case.Copy !req
8. - Fuck this case.
- Fuck it?Copy !req
9. Now you're just gonna, what,
call off your little crusade?Copy !req
10. Is that what you think it was? A crusade?Copy !req
11. Avon Barksdale was a way
to show everyone how smart I was...Copy !req
12. and how fucked up
the department is, that's all.Copy !req
13. Just put Jimmy McNulty
up on your shoulders...Copy !req
14. march him around the room,
break out the keg.Copy !req
15. It was never about
Avon Barksdale, Lieutenant.Copy !req
16. It was all about me.Copy !req
17. You think I didn't know that?Copy !req
18. You think we all didn't know?Copy !req
19. Listen, this case is gonna move forward...Copy !req
20. with you or without you.Copy !req
21. This case got her shot.Copy !req
22. I put a battery up her ass...Copy !req
23. and got her thinking
this case meant something.Copy !req
24. And you know what?
Burrell, Rawls, and them, they were right.Copy !req
25. This case means exactly shit.Copy !req
26. I know it meant damn near nothing to me
when you came in beating the drum.Copy !req
27. But now we got that woman
in there, that good police...Copy !req
28. breathing through a fucking tube,
because it meant something to her.Copy !req
29. And the shooters who dropped Kima?
They're still in the wind.Copy !req
30. And whoever sent those motherfuckers
into that alley...Copy !req
31. he needs to get got, too.Copy !req
32. So you can stand there,
dripping with liquor-smell and self-pity...Copy !req
33. if you got a mind to, but this case...Copy !req
34. it means something. Now.Copy !req
35. You hit them again?Copy !req
36. I been calling them all morning.
They ain't hit me back yet.Copy !req
37. Damn, we gonna tap out by noon.Copy !req
38. Poot! What we got over there?Copy !req
39. 200, maybe.Copy !req
40. What the fuck is this?Copy !req
41. What the fuck you think, nigger? Fish food.Copy !req
42. Give me my shit.Copy !req
43. Heads up.Copy !req
44. String.Copy !req
45. I need your pagers.
All of y'all, the whole crew.Copy !req
46. - Who else?
- Sterling, Cass and Manny.Copy !req
47. - All right, go get them shits.
- How am I gonna talk to my girl?Copy !req
48. Talk to your hand, nigger,
that's the only girl you got.Copy !req
49. No more... Get out of here.Copy !req
50. Just get the fuck out of here, man.Copy !req
51. No more pagers.
Touts, lookouts, off the air, all right?Copy !req
52. Nobody gonna use these cell phones
except for you and Bodie...Copy !req
53. and y'all don't say shit on these,
you understand me?Copy !req
54. We got the numbers
and we the only niggers that need them.Copy !req
55. Not your moms, not your girl, nobody.
You feel me?Copy !req
56. You use these phones to set up a meet,
go to that meet...Copy !req
57. and talk face to face, period.Copy !req
58. - So no more pay phones?
- You deaf? I said no phones.Copy !req
59. How I'm gonna reach y'all?Copy !req
60. All right, top number's for re-ups...Copy !req
61. second number's for muscle.Copy !req
62. You need me, hit me on the third number.Copy !req
63. Learn them shits, then throw that shit away.Copy !req
64. - You doing this in the towers, too?
- Doing it everywhere.Copy !req
65. Pagers, pay phones is dead.Copy !req
66. - All right?
- Yeah.Copy !req
67. String.Copy !req
68. We need some re-up, man,
we gonna tap out by noon.Copy !req
69. Re-up from where? You niggers ain't heard?Copy !req
70. Knockos took the main stash.Copy !req
71. Why the fuck you think we changing up?Copy !req
72. Back the fuck up, young'un.
These shits ain't for you.Copy !req
73. All right.Copy !req
74. Cool. There you go.Copy !req
75. There we go. All right.Copy !req
76. The gift of corrected vision.Copy !req
77. Compliments of the BPD.Copy !req
78. - Dang, y'all are focused.
- What man wouldn't be?Copy !req
79. They been cleaning us for the past few days.Copy !req
80. - Last night they burned us all the way.
- I knew it.Copy !req
81. I fucking knew it.Copy !req
82. I swear to God,
I'm in this motherfucker's head.Copy !req
83. Not a message since early morning.Copy !req
84. Shit, I even had to cut Prez loose.Copy !req
85. - Send his ass on down to Annapolis.
- For what?Copy !req
86. State campaign finance reports.
I checked all the stuff here.Copy !req
87. But I got the feeling
Barksdale's money has legs.Copy !req
88. Shit.Copy !req
89. All the work we did
to get up on this fucking wire.Copy !req
90. You don't hit these guys
and expect them to stay in the pocket.Copy !req
91. - Plus, they know they dropped a police.
- Then we need to change up, too.Copy !req
92. Come on.Copy !req
93. Shardene!Copy !req
94. Honey, this is Detective McNulty,
who's working with us.Copy !req
95. She works at Orlando's,
helping us out there from time to time.Copy !req
96. And now I think
that she can see well enough...Copy !req
97. to match faces to voices.Copy !req
98. Lester, look, I'm not gonna lie to you.
I'm scared of this shit.Copy !req
99. Time comes, though,
I know you gonna step up.Copy !req
100. We're gonna need Pearlman
to approve her wearing a wire.Copy !req
101. - Can I get a cup of coffee?
- What do you take in it?Copy !req
102. I'll get it. A little cream, right?Copy !req
103. Those knockos motherfuckers
cleaned my shit out.Copy !req
104. - You can replace product and currency.
- Yeah, he right.Copy !req
105. - We gotta focus on what's real, here.
- All of this shit is real.Copy !req
106. They wanna put me in a box.Copy !req
107. Listen, I think what's important
is to take stock.Copy !req
108. Ask yourself what's out there
that can still hurt you.Copy !req
109. Where are you weak?Copy !req
110. Where you need to clean up?Copy !req
111. Think it through.Copy !req
112. Start with Orlando, if Orlando rolled.Copy !req
113. You know he talked about the club, at least.Copy !req
114. That punk-ass nigger
ain't talk about shit else but the club.Copy !req
115. That's all he knew about.
He wasn't rolling with us.Copy !req
116. We kept him on the outside.Copy !req
117. So you walk away from the club.Copy !req
118. You're not on the license,
you're not a listed owner.Copy !req
119. They can't make a connect.Copy !req
120. When did this shit start up?Copy !req
121. About the time that
your nephew beat that charge.Copy !req
122. After, maybe when they found that witness
with the lead in his dome...Copy !req
123. the shit hit the newspapers.Copy !req
124. But around that time,
the cops was on our shit.Copy !req
125. The security guard,
the one whose testimony sprung D'Angelo—Copy !req
126. - Nakeisha Lyles?
- Yeah.Copy !req
127. Bug-eyed ass bitch. But we hooked that up.Copy !req
128. - So she can still hurt you, right?
- Yeah.Copy !req
129. The point is anybody
who can hurt you can be put into play.Copy !req
130. - The less I hear, the better.
- All right, yo.Copy !req
131. Hey, yo, lock that door?Copy !req
132. So we got Bird and Bey.Copy !req
133. - Bird will stand tall.
- He already in jail, and Bey about to go, too.Copy !req
134. And Wee-Bey hard like a rock.Copy !req
135. And we got Savino.Copy !req
136. Savino know it ain't nothing
but an Arm and Hammer charge.Copy !req
137. I mean, he ain't gonna flip out
over a motherfucking three years.Copy !req
138. True.Copy !req
139. Then we got that shit with Orlando,
and the only problem there was Little Man.Copy !req
140. Was.Copy !req
141. Who else?Copy !req
142. It's over, your wire's cold.Copy !req
143. The court orders give me
a total of 90 days on five phones.Copy !req
144. I'm doing the full 90.Copy !req
145. You want to sit listening to a bunch
of broke-ass pay phones, have at it.Copy !req
146. But you don't need
all that manpower to do it.Copy !req
147. You want some bodies back,
I'll send a couple, no problem.Copy !req
148. Hold on, Lieutenant.
I gave you those people.Copy !req
149. I decide who comes back.Copy !req
150. But feel free to speak your mind,
if it were up to you.Copy !req
151. He asked you a question, Lieutenant.Copy !req
152. I have no opinion. Take your pick.Copy !req
153. What's the name of that
old detective from Pawnshop?Copy !req
154. And that young one,
Valchek's brain-dead son-in-law.Copy !req
155. Freamon, Pryzbylewski.Copy !req
156. Keep them.Copy !req
157. Send back Sydnor and Santangelo.Copy !req
158. And, Lieutenant, if you want
to do anything beyond...Copy !req
159. listen to those dead phones...Copy !req
160. you need to brief me first.Copy !req
161. You did good, Cedric.Copy !req
162. You play your cards right, all the work
you did over the past few months...Copy !req
163. will speak volumes for you.Copy !req
164. And Maj. Spurgeon is saying
that he's retiring at the end of November.Copy !req
165. Which opens up the Northwest Command.Copy !req
166. That's right.Copy !req
167. Hi, Ronnie. Come in. Sit.Copy !req
168. - Sheila, send Patrick in.
- Yes, sir.Copy !req
169. - Anything up?
- With me?Copy !req
170. Same shit, different file.Copy !req
171. - How about the Barksdale thing?
- You've got my office reports?Copy !req
172. Wire's dead, but we're looking into a bug
in the man's nightclub.Copy !req
173. Aside from that, you're doing what?Copy !req
174. Pulling campaign finance reports
for every politician...Copy !req
175. in the city of Baltimore, right?Copy !req
176. I am?Copy !req
177. We are?Copy !req
178. And making calls to some contributors...Copy !req
179. asking questions,
doing background checks.Copy !req
180. I don't know anything about this.Copy !req
181. I mean, Ronnie,
where the fuck is all this going?Copy !req
182. Those are public reports, right? I mean...Copy !req
183. No one on that detail
has come to me for any kind of subpoena.Copy !req
184. You got back-doored, too?Copy !req
185. Just so there's no misunderstanding...Copy !req
186. I want to give you this.Copy !req
187. Copies of checks on the account
of my re-election committee...Copy !req
188. representing the return
of five separate contributions...Copy !req
189. totaling $4,500.Copy !req
190. Also copies of the checks...Copy !req
191. from the donor are represented in there, too.Copy !req
192. Kind of like Caesar's wife and all that shit.Copy !req
193. The only thing that we could come up with
were those five checks.Copy !req
194. And I don't know those people,
and I don't know why they gave.Copy !req
195. That money's gonna be returned
to the donors immediately.Copy !req
196. Guys, listen to me.Copy !req
197. I don't know a fucking thing...Copy !req
198. about anyone looking
at campaign contributions.Copy !req
199. Be that as it may...Copy !req
200. this should make it clear
that our hands are clean.Copy !req
201. Ronnie, I want you to take that back
to whoever's on the hunt...Copy !req
202. and I want you to tell them
they've got no quarrel with me.Copy !req
203. What's up, String?Copy !req
204. So y'all want to get with me?Copy !req
205. Yeah, we need to holler at your boy...Copy !req
206. you know, the one
that dimed on Omar's bitch.Copy !req
207. Can't recall his name.Copy !req
208. Which one?Copy !req
209. The one that was at the Greek's that night.Copy !req
210. - And we paid him for the lookout.
- What y'all need him for?Copy !req
211. What's it to you?Copy !req
212. - You ain't got to worry about him.
- Say what?Copy !req
213. He's gone, he's out the game.Copy !req
214. Out the game?Copy !req
215. Yo, the man asked you a simple question.Copy !req
216. I don't mean y'all no disrespect.
You know I don't.Copy !req
217. I am sitting here telling you
that the boy is out the game.Copy !req
218. And even if he wasn't out the game,
he wouldn't be no problem.Copy !req
219. But you know we just want
to talk to him, Dee.Copy !req
220. Avon, let the boy be.Copy !req
221. Just let him be.Copy !req
222. Honey, just leave the damn thing alone.Copy !req
223. - Where'd you get these, man?
- Prevas.Copy !req
224. Broadway market?Copy !req
225. - Best chili dogs in the city.
- No, man, not even.Copy !req
226. I'll give you $10
if you can name a better dog.Copy !req
227. - George's Lunch on Light Street.
- The Greek joint?Copy !req
228. That place closed back when you were
still sucking on your mama's nipples.Copy !req
229. My mama's nipples?
I was sucking on them plums last night.Copy !req
230. You owe me $10.Copy !req
231. I said, name a better dog
you can have today, not in world history.Copy !req
232. - You just said a better dog.
- You go get that dog right now.Copy !req
233. - You cannot go get that now.
- And you tell me...Copy !req
234. - the best fucking dog.
- Physically—Copy !req
235. Can you please keep it down?
I can't hear a goddamn thing!Copy !req
236. You'd know how much I got...Copy !req
237. if you laid something on me.Copy !req
238. - You like that freeze?
- If you holding.Copy !req
239. I'm fixing to be.
That's why I'm here, you know?Copy !req
240. To discuss some things.Copy !req
241. When you done discussing, you come back.Copy !req
242. All right, then.
Hold that pose right there, shorty.Copy !req
243. I'm gonna hook you up with some uncut.Copy !req
244. Y'all niggers talk too damn much, man.Copy !req
245. Who the fuck is she? Housing police?Copy !req
246. No, she's one of them civilians
they got doing security.Copy !req
247. - Housing cops wear the gray uniforms.
- So she's not armed or nothing.Copy !req
248. Do she look it?Copy !req
249. You leaving early?Copy !req
250. I was early, I worked the lunch crowd.Copy !req
251. She's out.Copy !req
252. - Anything?
- Table scraps.Copy !req
253. What we want is being said in that office.Copy !req
254. There's no reason for Shardene
to be in there long enough for us to get it.Copy !req
255. - Take it out, I can't do this anymore.
- You won't have to, darling.Copy !req
256. I think they'll look at me and know.
I need to quit.Copy !req
257. I don't need you wearing
this wire, all right, honey?Copy !req
258. I just need you to go in there
and do one more thing.Copy !req
259. Look at this country nigger.Copy !req
260. - Damn, Wallace.
- Wally!Copy !req
261. He kept crying till I sent him bus money.Copy !req
262. All right. I just got tired
of that same old country scenery.Copy !req
263. It was just too slow for me.Copy !req
264. Yeah, but did you get
some of that country ass?Copy !req
265. And if he did, it was on four legs.Copy !req
266. Nigger, they got no farms down there, man,
but they did have some Bamas though.Copy !req
267. They got their Saturday night
shit down at Sears.Copy !req
268. - They was like, you know—
- Tears, right? You were about to cry.Copy !req
269. That where you got them Die-Hards?Copy !req
270. - Man, these Timbs.
- Yeah, they Timbs.Copy !req
271. I can see the tree on the side of them.Copy !req
272. So you gonna put me back on the money?Copy !req
273. Hold. Look, if we do put you back on...Copy !req
274. you have to start as lookout, man.Copy !req
275. You lost your spot
when you bucked town, dawg.Copy !req
276. Come on, a real man
would stay with his people...Copy !req
277. he wouldn't run at the first sight
of some blood.Copy !req
278. Y'all can still holler 5-0, right?Copy !req
279. If he want back on the money,
he back on the money.Copy !req
280. If he want it.Copy !req
281. My man might be thinking of going
back to Edmondson...Copy !req
282. like we talked about, right?Copy !req
283. Come on, nigger, let's walk.Copy !req
284. Dawg, you ain't cornholed
no animal for real, did you?Copy !req
285. - Go ahead, Poot.
- You're stupid.Copy !req
286. Don't be fucking with my Sean John.Copy !req
287. - So who caught it?
- Garvey.Copy !req
288. He knows about the whole witness angle...Copy !req
289. but he doesn't want to run it up
to the bosses until he knows more.Copy !req
290. Why ace Nakeisha Lyles now?Copy !req
291. Because now they know we're for real.Copy !req
292. Avon's cleaning house all the way.Copy !req
293. First the phones go dead
and then anyone he thinks...Copy !req
294. we might be able to flip.Copy !req
295. What about the boy?Copy !req
296. Fuck me.Copy !req
297. We took him to the shore Friday
and the plan was to bring him back up...Copy !req
298. - on the Monday for the grand jury.
- And what happened?Copy !req
299. - Greggs got shot.
- Trooper Reese?Copy !req
300. This is Lieutenant Daniels
with the Baltimore Department.Copy !req
301. Is there someone that can
go near Cambridge...Copy !req
302. check on a kid we got stashed down there?Copy !req
303. - Call him.
- No, there's no phone there.Copy !req
304. - Can you hang on?
- I'll hold, yeah.Copy !req
305. Have Sydnor pull a car from motor pool.Copy !req
306. We get the kid back up here tonight,
he sleeps on my sofa...Copy !req
307. and we grand-jury him in the morning.Copy !req
308. - What about your stripper?
- The woman's got heart.Copy !req
309. I mean, I want her protected.
No more bodies, hear?Copy !req
310. I got room at my place,
she can lay up with me.Copy !req
311. - I got no problem with that.
- Remember who you are, Detective.Copy !req
312. Protect and serve, Lieutenant.Copy !req
313. I'm saying, this here game,
it ain't gonna work for you no more, man.Copy !req
314. You leaving, you stirred up some shit.Copy !req
315. - I'm saying it ain't your fault.
- Dee, look.Copy !req
316. I appreciate what you trying to say and all,
but I grew up in the courts, all right?Copy !req
317. I been with them niggers since forever.Copy !req
318. This is home, right?Copy !req
319. You ain't hearing me, Wallace.Copy !req
320. Anybody asks you whether
you in this game...Copy !req
321. you tell them you in it for life, all right?Copy !req
322. You play it hard, you play it tight...Copy !req
323. and make sure niggers know
you gonna stand by your people.Copy !req
324. No loose talk, no second thoughts,
and no snitching.Copy !req
325. Play it like that.Copy !req
326. - What you doing down in the PJ's, you lost?
- I'm looking for you.Copy !req
327. - You know I be down here working.
- A working man got to eat.Copy !req
328. - My favorite spicy fish cakes?
- On the saltines with the mustard.Copy !req
329. You gonna make me cry, you know.Copy !req
330. I need to get up out of here
and get back to it.Copy !req
331. - You be safe.
- You, too.Copy !req
332. All right.Copy !req
333. This here.Copy !req
334. Sterling's, baby, we're about to feast.Copy !req
335. What the hell is Sterling's?Copy !req
336. Sterling's, up on 29th Street?
Don't you know nothing?Copy !req
337. Shit, if it ain't up on the Westside,
I don't know shit.Copy !req
338. 'Cause this shit...Copy !req
339. this is me, yo, right here.Copy !req
340. Who was that, your new girl or something?Copy !req
341. No, nigger, that's my mom.Copy !req
342. You know Senator Davis?Copy !req
343. No, sir.Copy !req
344. Lieutenant.Copy !req
345. Clay wanted to meet you,
see if there was any help he can offer.Copy !req
346. Help?Copy !req
347. Your people are apparently
pulling finance reports...Copy !req
348. and checking up on some
of the contributors.Copy !req
349. I wanted to reassure you on that front.Copy !req
350. I'm not involved in drugs, Lieutenant.Copy !req
351. Good.Copy !req
352. And this business with the senator's driver.Copy !req
353. Mr. Price, Damien.Copy !req
354. Day-Day.Copy !req
355. This business with Mr. Price,
this is a misunderstanding...Copy !req
356. that is really of no concern to the police.Copy !req
357. He had $20,000 of cash on him...Copy !req
358. delivered out of a project tower
by a known drug suspect.Copy !req
359. The money was banded
and manicured by denomination.Copy !req
360. There's no crime here.Copy !req
361. That was money that Damien
already had on him...Copy !req
362. when he drove down to Franklin Terrace.Copy !req
363. Money from a cash-bar fundraiser
the previous weekend.Copy !req
364. We filed an amended
finance report that shows—Copy !req
365. Fine.Copy !req
366. There's no probable cause
for a search of Mr. Price.Copy !req
367. I think we are in agreement on that.Copy !req
368. No, there was PC for the search.Copy !req
369. You're saying you have evidence
that a senatorial aide is involved in drugs?Copy !req
370. I'm saying we had reason to stop Mr. Price...Copy !req
371. and effect a body search,
after which we discovered...Copy !req
372. $20,000 in cash in banded, manicured bills.Copy !req
373. That's all I'm saying.Copy !req
374. Will you explain to this motherfucker
just what it is he's doing here?Copy !req
375. - Lt. Daniels—
- Excuse me, sir.Copy !req
376. But it's pretty basic.Copy !req
377. If the senator is not involved
in anything illegal...Copy !req
378. then he doesn't need to worry.Copy !req
379. I can't be any clearer about it than that.Copy !req
380. Fool, what do you think?Copy !req

605. Mr. Barksdale, our tollbooth cameras...Copy !req
606. have you on the G.W. Bridge at 2310 hours...Copy !req
607. then re-entering
the turnpike at the same exit...Copy !req
608. 35 minutes later.Copy !req
609. Why did you drive all the way
to New York for half an hour?Copy !req
610. Step out of the car, sir.Copy !req
611. Keep your hands where I can see them.Copy !req
612. Turn around, face the car,
put your hands on the roof.Copy !req
613. - Are you carrying any weapons, sir?

624. - I could give a fuck.
- You?Copy !req
625. I'm tired of your games.Copy !req
626. What, you want me to write a letter,
or some shit like that?Copy !req
627. No game we need to run.
You're popped with a kilo of uncut.Copy !req
628. Not that you messed up.
You did everything right.Copy !req
629. Speed limit, turn signals, working taillights.
Question you gotta ask is...Copy !req
630. how'd those troopers know
to pull you over?Copy !req
631. Someone else fucked up. You following me?Copy !req
632. But it's you they're gonna blame,
and you who's gonna do the jolt.Copy !req
633. - Lawyer.
- That'd be Levy, right?Copy !req
634. He's getting paid by your uncle,
is that right?Copy !req
635. Yeah, he's looking out for your interests.Copy !req
636. More than you.Copy !req
637. Listen...Copy !req
638. I ain't saying another damn thing...Copy !req
639. to nobody but my lawyer.Copy !req
640. By the way...Copy !req
641. your boy Wallace,
shot dead in the low-rises.Copy !req
642. That's how y'all take care
of your own, right?Copy !req
643. You're a lying motherfucker.Copy !req
644. So what?Copy !req
645. You want me to write
a letter to his mom, too?Copy !req
646. Get the fuck out of here.Copy !req
647. You didn't have to send him
the way you did.Copy !req
648. In one car?
He should've been trailing a mule.Copy !req
649. 95 or on the train,
it don't make no difference...Copy !req
650. he shouldn't have been there alone.Copy !req
651. - Look here, Brianna—
- Ain't you ever heard of a trap-car?Copy !req
652. You send my son to New York...Copy !req
653. in a motherfucking rental...Copy !req
654. and you just let him ride
with that package in the trunk?Copy !req
655. - I'm sorry—
- That won't bring him out of prison!Copy !req
656. Better make sure that Jew lawyer of yours
earns his money, all right?Copy !req
657. - D'Angelo gonna have to do his part.
- Meaning what?Copy !req
658. You like the car you driving there, right?Copy !req
659. You like this crib? I put you in this crib.
You like it?Copy !req
660. Yeah, I mean, we all got a lot
to protect here.Copy !req
661. You need to remind him of that.Copy !req
662. So when it come down to it,
he can stand up tall.Copy !req
663. You ain't gotta worry about my child.Copy !req
664. I raised that boy, and I raised him right.Copy !req
665. It wasn't me who fucked up.Copy !req
666. Really? So who did?Copy !req
667. Why the fuck are we here?Copy !req
668. Listen, all you need to do
is keep your head through the bail hearing.Copy !req
669. We got a good shot
at bringing you home here.Copy !req
670. Then what?Copy !req
671. Who gonna take the weight for all the shit
in the trunk of that car?Copy !req
672. Where's Wallace at?Copy !req
673. Where's the boy, String?Copy !req
674. D'Angelo, shut your mouth.Copy !req
675. Where's Wallace? That's all I want to know.Copy !req
676. Kid, you better think.Copy !req
677. Where the fuck is Wallace?Copy !req
678. String!Copy !req
679. Look at me!Copy !req
680. Where the fuck is Wallace?Copy !req
681. I don't want this Payless-wearing
motherfucker representing me.Copy !req
682. I'm gonna get my own man, all right?Copy !req
683. So just get back in your car,
and get the fuck back down south.Copy !req
684. All right, you stupid motherfucker.
You made your decision.Copy !req
685. Yeah, I made my decision.
Where's Wallace at?Copy !req
686. Where the fuck is Wallace?
Where's Wallace, String?Copy !req
687. String, where the fuck is Wallace?Copy !req
688. Stringer!Copy !req
689. Bring him in.Copy !req
690. - You're done.
- Why?Copy !req
691. We have the charge whenever we want it.Copy !req
692. Why not stay up on the bug
we've got in his office?Copy !req
693. The bug you didn't brief me about.Copy !req
694. I thought your little bird
told you everything we did...Copy !req
695. a minute after we did it.Copy !req
696. One of our people got hurt.
That's supposed to mean something.Copy !req
697. We're hunting her shooters...Copy !req
698. and by the grace of God
and your good work...Copy !req
699. we've got a viable case on our main target.Copy !req
700. Just charge Barksdale
with the attempt purchase...Copy !req
701. from New York and bring it all home.Copy !req
702. What about Stringer, his number two?Copy !req
703. He slipped off the hook
when we lost the boy witness.Copy !req
704. We've done all we can.Copy !req
705. Are you hearing me?Copy !req
706. These are the people responsible
for dropping a police.Copy !req
707. Not just the shooters,
but the ones who make the dirt happen.Copy !req
708. I'm trying to put them down for real,
not for some short-time bit.Copy !req
709. That all you're trying to do?Copy !req
710. If that's all you're doing,
how is it you have people...Copy !req
711. pulling campaign records
and finance reports?Copy !req
712. What the fuck has that
got to do with anything?Copy !req
713. The money is part of my case.Copy !req
714. There was a time
when I was willing to say otherwise...Copy !req
715. to let you and all your friends
hide some of that dirt, but not now.Copy !req
716. You want to talk about dirt? Have at it.Copy !req
717. Talk some shit about
your Eastern district days.Copy !req
718. Talk about what was going on back
when you was running wild in the DEU.Copy !req
719. - That's just talk.
- Just talk?Copy !req
720. FBI field reports.Copy !req
721. You came into a lot of money, quick.Copy !req
722. And you can go to jail just as quick...Copy !req
723. if I start asking the right questions.Copy !req
724. This case ends, or you are done.Copy !req
725. Hell, I don't even need you
to lock up Barksdale.Copy !req
726. I'll have your major debrief your detectives
and type the warrants himself.Copy !req
727. This case is done!Copy !req
728. You do what you feel.Copy !req
729. You wanna pull Avon in on half a case?
You go ahead.Copy !req
730. You wanna put my shit in the street?
Feel free.Copy !req
731. But the Eastern had a lot of stories.
Mine ain't the only one.Copy !req
732. A lot of people came through that district.Copy !req
733. If you were gonna do me,
I'd already be done.Copy !req
734. But there ain't nothing you fear more
than a bad headline now, is there?Copy !req
735. You'd rather live in shit
than let the world see you work a shovel.Copy !req
736. You can order warrants, and I'll serve them.Copy !req
737. But as long as I have days
left on those dead wires...Copy !req
738. this case goes on.Copy !req
739. Yo, look at these Delta Force
motherfuckers, man.Copy !req
740. - Look at them.
- All right.Copy !req
741. - What's up with Levy?
- He said he gonna meet us down there.Copy !req
742. I still didn't get this safe
out of here yet, man.Copy !req
743. How much money in it?Copy !req
744. - $150,000.
- $150,000?Copy !req
745. Open it up, man.
No sense in ruining a good safe.Copy !req
746. This isn't as much fun
as I thought it would be.Copy !req
747. The SWAT guys do love
to break out their toys.Copy !req
748. They think it's Tony Montana up there?Copy !req
749. They probably haven't
touched a gun in years.Copy !req
750. Fuck this shit.Copy !req
751. You and me, Lieutenant.Copy !req
752. What units are in the alley?Copy !req
753. Any sightline to the rear door?Copy !req
754. 10-4, who has the roof?Copy !req
755. We're gonna move in on my command.
Everyone stand by.Copy !req
756. We're not gonna need your men today.
Call them back.Copy !req
757. - Now wait a minute—
- My case, back your men off.Copy !req
758. Catch you later.Copy !req
759. Good.Copy !req
760. Barksdale's wearing bracelets.Copy !req
761. Still no Wee-Bey, no Little Man?Copy !req
762. No, nothing there.Copy !req
