Actor Rance McGrew makes TV Westerns for a living, but he's a lousy actor and a worse cowboy. Despite that, each week he "wins" against the bad guys. Finally the bad guys have enough and send Jesse James to Earth to teach McGrew a lesson.

34. then looks straight ahead.

44. It's a cover shot of rance entering the saloon.

48. Some 100-odd years ago,

49. a motley collection of tough moustaches

50. galloped across the west

51. and left behind a raft of legends and legerdemains.

52. And it seems a reasonable conjecture

53. that if there are any television sets up in cowboy heaven

54. any one of these rough and woolly nail-eaters could see

55. with what careless abandon

56. their names and exploits are being bandied about.

57. They're very likely turning over in their graves-

58. or worse, getting out of them.

59. Which gives you a clue

60. as to the proceedings that will begin in just a moment

61. when one mr. Rance mcgrew,

62. a 3,000-buck-a-week phony baloney,

63. discovers that this week's current edition of make-believe

64. is being shot on location

65. and that location is the twilight zone.
