55. The year is 1847, the place is the territory of new mexico.

56. The people are a tiny handful of men and women with a dream.

57. 11 months ago, they started out from ohio and headed west.

59. about a warm sun and a blue sky, about rich land and fresh air

60. and at this moment, almost a year later

61. they've seen nothing but cold, heat, exhaustion

62. hunger and sickness.

63. This man's name is christian horn.

64. He has a dying eight-year-old son

65. and a heartsick wife

66. and he's the only one remaining

67. who has even a fragment of the dream left-

68. mr. Chris horn, who is going over the top of a rim

69. to look for water and sustenance

70. and in a moment will move into the twilight zone.
