19. An old touring car that squats in the sun and goes nowhere.

23. Placed in solitary confinement.

24. Confinement stretches as far as the eye can see.

25. Because this particular dungeon is on an asteroid.

26. Nine million miles from the earth.

31. There'll be a supply ship coming in soon, I think.

35. Like he brought in the parts for that antique automobile.

36. I was a year putting that thing together.

38. But thank God for that car and for the time I used up.

39. I can look at it out there, and I know that it's real.

92. I tell myself this is my last day of sanity.

93. I can't stand this loneliness one more day.

94. By noon feels the inside of my mouth like gun powder and burnt copper.
