13. She'll be in when she'll be in. That's all.

17. The trouble is every ten minutes you're up here requiring one.

18. Situations just don't change that rapidly.

19. And you want to know about the Cortland bus.

20. It was late when you asked a half hour ago.

21. Late when you come back 15 minutes later. And it's late now.

22. And all the asking in the world ain't going to push it none.

23. But this is the very first time I've been up here.

76. I must be sick. I must be running a fever.

81. You do mean the bus to Cortland? - That's the one.

82. I was supposed to be in Syracuse tonight by 10:00.

83. The planes were all grounded so I took a cab from Binghamton.

84. It skidded into a tree a few miles outside of here.

85. I had to walk into town to get here.

86. Forgive me, you're not ill, are you?

87. I really don't know what's wrong with me.

88. Is there something I can do? - Well, I don't know.

89. It's just that all sorts of queer things have been happening to me.

90. I've been seeing things. - Seeing things?

91. What sort of things?

92. I'm not sure I should tell you.

93. You'd probably want to move to another part of the room.

94. Or call the police or an ambulance.

95. Well, why don't you tell me. Maybe I can help.

96. My name is Paul Grinstead. I'm from Binghamton.

97. How do you do? I'm Millicent Barnes.

98. At least I was Millicent Barnes.

99. I'm a private secretary. I quit my job here on Thursday.

100. And I've got another job in Buffalo. That's where I'm going tonight.

101. Everybody keeps telling me that I've been here before.

102. That man who takes the tickets, he says I keep asking about the bus.

103. The woman in the powder room says I've been there before, and I haven't.

104. And my bag here... My bag! - There it is.

105. Thank god. For a minute I thought it was starting all over again.

106. That man said I checked it and I hadn't.

107. But there was a bag, almost identical to mine.

108. And then when I came out of the powder room it wasn't there.

109. Go on.

110. It sounds very strange but...

111. when I came out of the powder room, I looked in the mirror...

112. and I could see the whole waiting room. In the mirror.

113. And I...

114. What did you see, Ms Barnes?

115. I saw myself sitting right here on this bench.

116. It's delusions. - Yes.

117. Yes, that's what it must be. Delusions, some sort of delusions.

118. But I'm not sick. I'm not running a fever.

119. But it's not just seeing things that don't exist.

120. Why did that man and that woman say that they had seen me before?

121. I don't know. This one's tough to figure out.

122. What's happening to me? What's wrong? I'm not some sort of kook.

123. I've never had any trouble like this. I mean, trouble with my mind.

124. Of course you haven't. There's an explanation some place.

125. There's a reason. Maybe... - Maybe what?

126. Maybe there's someone here who resembles you. That could be it.

127. Or maybe someone is playing some kind of a joke or something.

128. Is that possible?

129. That's too fantastic. And that doesn't explain about the bag.

130. And anyway, if there is such a person, where is she?

131. Bus to Cortland, Syracuse, Buffalo, now arriving.

132. Let me take that. Looks heavy. - Thank you. You're very kind.

133. No, you are more than just kind.

134. We better get on the bus.

135. I'll take your bag. - All right.

136. Ms Barnes! Millicent. What's the matter? Wait a minute.

137. On our way. You and the lady coming or aren't?

138. No, we'll wait for the next one. - That's due at 7:00 in the morning.

140. I'm shutting off some of these lights.

141. 'When not in use, turn off the juice.'

142. That's what I always say. - I best be getting home.

143. I sure hope she feels better. - Thank you. You've been very nice.

144. It's all right. But I'd say she needed some looking after.

147. The bus. - It had to leave.

148. There'll be another before too long. - You didn't get on.

149. I'm this late already. A few more hours won't make any difference.

150. I've been thinking about something.

151. It's very odd, but...

152. I've been remembering.

153. Remembering what?

154. About something I read or heard about a long time ago.

155. About different planes of existence.

156. About two parallel worlds.

157. That exist side by side.

158. And each of us has a counterpart in this world.

159. And sometimes through some freak, through something unexplainable...

160. This counterpart, after the two worlds converge...

161. Comes into our world and in order to survive...

162. It has to take over. - Take over?

163. Replace us. Move us out so that it can live.

164. That's a little metaphysical for me.

165. I remember reading it somewhere.

166. Each of us has a twin in this other world.

167. An identical twin.

168. Maybe that woman I saw...

169. Millicent, there has to be another explanation.

170. One that comes with more reason.

171. I can't explain it.

172. But I know that's what's happened.

173. This other woman, my counterpart...

175. I just thought of something. I've got a good friend who lives in Tully.

205. You can take a snooze on that bench. You'll be all alone, no noise at all.

206. This place is like a tomb between night and morning.
