1. Hi, welcome back.
Copy !req
2. You know, we get a lot of letters
requesting a very simple little seascape
Copy !req
3. that could show a nice sunset type sky.
Copy !req
4. So I thought today that's what we'd do.
Copy !req
5. So let's start out and have them run all
the colors across the screen that you
Copy !req
6. need to paint along with us.
Copy !req
7. While they're doing that, let me show you
what I've got done up here.
Copy !req
8. The easiest way to do a sunset seascape
that I've ever found is on a black canvas.
Copy !req
9. So I've covered this entire canvas with
black gesso and allowed it to dry
Copy !req
10. completely.
Copy !req
11. Then I've taken liquid clear
Copy !req
12. and I've put Liquid Clear over the entire
canvas, and we've started here with a
Copy !req
13. little Alizarin Crimson, and we've slowly
started adding Phthalo Blue all the way up,
Copy !req
14. and the same thing down here, which
will be the water.
Copy !req
15. And this is just a piece of masking tape, so
we'll have a nice straight horizon.
Copy !req
16. So we have Alizarin Crimson, and it
blends up to Phthalo Blue, and the same
Copy !req
17. going down.
Copy !req
18. And that's really all there is to it.
Copy !req
19. I thought they would use the little small
round brush.
Copy !req
20. And I'm just gonna put a little bit
of the titanium white on it.
Copy !req
21. Don't need a great deal.
Copy !req
22. And you could do this with a fan brush or
two inch brush, whatever.
Copy !req
23. I just, I like this little brush.
Copy !req
24. Decide where your light source is gonna be
here.
Copy !req
25. And we'll just begin bouncing in a little
color.
Copy !req
26. Just a little white and it'll pick up
those colors that are already on the
Copy !req
27. canvas and automatically, automatically, you
don't even have to worry about it or think
Copy !req
28. about it, this'll begin happening.
Copy !req
29. And just sort of think about little cloud
shapes and formations and work upward here.
Copy !req
30. There.
Copy !req
31. So your brightest color is down here.
Copy !req
32. And this is a fantastic little painting
to do for friends or relatives.
Copy !req
33. But don't tell them that you put color
on the black canvas.
Copy !req
34. And all they'll do is, they'll just see
you add white paint to your brush and then
Copy !req
35. touch the canvas and it's like, it's like
magic happens.
Copy !req
36. We have instructors that travel all over
the country doing demonstrations and stuff.
Copy !req
37. And a lot of times this is the way they'll
do demonstrations.
Copy !req
38. And it's unbelievable what happens.
Copy !req
39. And it excites people.
Copy !req
40. So if you're ever doing a demonstration
for friends, try that.
Copy !req
41. I guarantee you that you will certainly
get a positive response from it.
Copy !req
42. There, you'll be the local hero for days.
Copy !req
43. Okay, of course everybody will want the
painting and then you have to make the big
Copy !req
44. decision which person gets the painting.
Copy !req
45. There we go.
Copy !req
46. But here, all we're doing is just thinking
of some basic little shapes that we're
Copy !req
47. looking for and just doing little
circles, just sort of winding it up.
Copy !req
48. Just winding it up, just mixing it.
Copy !req
49. This is our little mix master here.
Copy !req
50. We just blend it and carry on.
Copy !req
51. I'm gonna come back with a large brush in
a minute and blend it even more.
Copy !req
52. But this is just applying a little color
to the canvas.
Copy !req
53. There, let me wash the little brush
here.
Copy !req
54. Just wash it, shake it off.
Copy !req
55. Beat the devil out of it too.
Copy !req
56. Now this time I'm gonna add the least
little touch of cad yellow, maybe even a
Copy !req
57. little yellow ochre.
Copy !req
58. Right to my white.
Copy !req
59. Little tiny bit of yellow ochre in there
too.
Copy !req
60. And I'm gonna go right back in here.
Copy !req
61. This is gonna be my brightest area.
Copy !req
62. And just work a little of that color out.
Copy !req
63. Just a little. Not much, not much.
Copy !req
64. It's easy to overdo.
Copy !req
65. Not much.
Copy !req
66. Color shows up so much stronger on this
black canvas than it does on the white
Copy !req
67. canvas.
Copy !req
68. It's almost unreal.
Copy !req
69. Now then.
Copy !req
70. A good, dry two inch brush.
Copy !req
71. Be sure it's dry.
Copy !req
72. If it's wet and you touch this, you're
gonna be in agony city.
Copy !req
73. We don't want that.
Copy !req
74. Using just the corner of the brush, and
just sort of wind it up, making little
Copy !req
75. tiny circles.
Copy !req
76. Little tiny circles, there we go.
Copy !req
77. There we go, just keep it going.
Copy !req
78. There.
Copy !req
79. And the more you blend this, the softer it'll
become.
Copy !req
80. And you have to decide when it's blended
to the degree that you want.
Copy !req
81. And when it is, then you stop.
Copy !req
82. And it's just exactly right.
Copy !req
83. And you can use any color here.
Copy !req
84. I just decided today to use the crimson
and the phthalo blue.
Copy !req
85. But you can use any color that your heart
desires.
Copy !req
86. Any color.
Copy !req
87. And it makes some of the most gorgeous
things you've ever seen.
Copy !req
88. Try this, even if you've never done a
sunset.
Copy !req
89. This one will work so well for you.
Copy !req
90. So well.
Copy !req
91. And you don't want to blend all these
little patterns and stuff out.
Copy !req
92. You can just blend it until it's too
smooth.
Copy !req
93. I like some of those little rough things
in there.
Copy !req
94. It looks like little floater clouds that
just sort of sneak around in there and
Copy !req
95. just play.
Copy !req
96. Little windblown things that are back in
the sky.
Copy !req
97. They just sort of make it nice.
Copy !req
98. And the more you blend it, once again, the
more it'll pick up that color, and the
Copy !req
99. darker it'll become.
Copy !req
100. The color it picks up, I mean, is the
color that's already on the canvas.
Copy !req
101. There.
Copy !req
102. All right, it's a good arm exercise
too.
Copy !req
103. Very good arm exercise.
Copy !req
104. Okay, and then very gently, we just start
blending that.
Copy !req
105. Something like so.
Copy !req
106. Then you can go back, put a little more
color on your brush, and you can add in
Copy !req
107. little tiny individual type things.
Copy !req
108. Let's keep this one quite simple.
Copy !req
109. I don't want to get too carried away here.
Copy !req
110. But this is also an excellent sky for just
doing landscapes with.
Copy !req
111. You don't have to do seascapes.
Copy !req
112. And you can't believe some of the
paintings that people are doing.
Copy !req
113. In fact, I tell you what, let me show you
some of the paintings.
Copy !req
114. I'm just gonna drop in a little cloud here
like this.
Copy !req
115. But we get pictures from people all over
the country, and you would not believe
Copy !req
116. what they're painting.
Copy !req
117. And a lot of these people have never had
any lesson other than the television show.
Copy !req
118. Can you believe that?
Copy !req
119. They're some of the most gorgeous
paintings you've ever seen.
Copy !req
120. And a lot of these are by young people, too.
Copy !req
121. They're not all older people like me.
Copy !req
122. A lot of them are very young people
that have basically had no art lessons
Copy !req
123. other than the television show.
Copy !req
124. As I say, just from watching this series, they're
producing some of the most gorgeous
Copy !req
125. paintings, and I'm so proud of everybody
that's able to do this.
Copy !req
126. This is just the first.
Copy !req
127. If you accomplish this, my God, then you
can accomplish anything.
Copy !req
128. All you have to do is just believe you
can.
Copy !req
129. Just believe that you can.
Copy !req
130. And success with painting leads to success
with many things.
Copy !req
131. There.
Copy !req
132. There, that's why it's so fantastic to see
people have success.
Copy !req
133. Because it carries over into every part of
your life.
Copy !req
134. You learn that you can do anything.
Copy !req
135. Absolutely can.
Copy !req
136. All I'm doing is blending the entire sky
now, just to sort of take out some of the
Copy !req
137. little brush strokes and take a look, see.
Copy !req
138. Maybe, see, if you want to sparkle one, you
can just take a little paint on the corner
Copy !req
139. of the brush and maybe put a little
sparkle up in there.
Copy !req
140. But very tight little circular strokes.
Copy !req
141. Very tight.
Copy !req
142. Mm.
Copy !req
143. But isn't that a very simple and easy way
Copy !req
144. to make a striking, striking sky.
Copy !req
145. All right.
Copy !req
146. And I think that's about all we need for a
little sunset sky.
Copy !req
147. Now you could go back and you could put in
clouds, you can do all kinds of little
Copy !req
148. things.
Copy !req
149. Just sort of let your imagination take you
where you want to go.
Copy !req
150. But once you start doing this, don't just
stop there.
Copy !req
151. Keep going with it.
Copy !req
152. All I want to show you is an idea to get
you started and to get you fired up and
Copy !req
153. turn you loose on the world.
Copy !req
154. Because once you learn this, then you
can do anything.
Copy !req
155. Let's take our tape off.
Copy !req
156. And that's just plain old ordinary masking
tape.
Copy !req
157. But now we have a very straight horizon.
Copy !req
158. And I saved a little bit of that crimson
with the liquid and liquid clear mixture.
Copy !req
159. Just took a little liquid clear and put
with some crimson so I could fill this
Copy !req
160. in right here.
Copy !req
161. Because naturally there was nothing, there
was no liquid clear under there or no
Copy !req
162. color.
Copy !req
163. So we'll just fill that in and bring it
right up to the horizon.
Copy !req
164. That easy.
Copy !req
165. Now we're ready to go. We can start
playing.
Copy !req
166. Have to beat the brush one more time.
Copy !req
167. Let me just take a little fan brush, put a
little,
Copy !req
168. A little white on it.
Copy !req
169. And when I'm doing seascapes, I sort of
like to lay out my major wave and have an
Copy !req
170. idea of where it goes, because everything
else is secondary to that.
Copy !req
171. So just use a fan brush or filbert, any
old thing.
Copy !req
172. Decide where your major wave's gonna live.
Copy !req
173. Maybe here, it's gonna be here, and crash
over.
Copy !req
174. Like that.
Copy !req
175. And then the waves back here will just
sort of correspond with that, however you
Copy !req
176. want them.
Copy !req
177. So the eye or the transparency will be
right in here, right in that area.
Copy !req
178. Okay, maybe that'll help.
Copy !req
179. See, there, it's gonna crash over right
there.
Copy !req
180. And the rest of it's very easy.
Copy !req
181. Once you determine where that wave's gon
na live.
Copy !req
182. Now then.
Copy !req
183. Let's just take a little titanium white.
Copy !req
184. I'm using a number three fan brush, but
you could use whatever you have.
Copy !req
185. And I'm gonna start right back here under
the lightest area, and just start making
Copy !req
186. little wave things.
Copy !req
187. Let me exaggerate.
Copy !req
188. I'm doing like that, and I'm really
exaggerating.
Copy !req
189. And that way, you get these little wave-looking
characters way back in the back.
Copy !req
190. Don't just go straight across.
Copy !req
191. Make it so it's got a little wiggle
in it.
Copy !req
192. There, see?
Copy !req
193. And then we get further along the painting,
we'll go back and add a little detail
Copy !req
194. to that, and son of a gun, instant waves.
Copy !req
195. So I say, this is a very easy, nice, simple
little seascape that you can do without
Copy !req
196. any problems.
Copy !req
197. There, and we'll wipe all the excess paint
off that brush.
Copy !req
198. Just wipe it on a paper towel.
Copy !req
199. And I'm gonna take this light color
and blend it back.
Copy !req
200. Just blend it back.
Copy !req
201. There we go.
Copy !req
202. See, blend it, blend.
Copy !req
203. But once again, we're making an angle
stroke like that.
Copy !req
204. Blend it back.
Copy !req
205. There.
Copy !req
206. See, that's all there is to it.
Copy !req
207. But try to retain a dark area right along
this line here.
Copy !req
208. Right along there.
Copy !req
209. And it'll all make sense here in just a
second.
Copy !req
210. I know sometimes it looks a little strange
when you start a seascape like this.
Copy !req
211. But of all the seascapes I've painted, this
is probably the easiest, simplest method
Copy !req
212. that I have found to paint a very
effective seascape.
Copy !req
213. And you can paint one that just has the
little, you know, the little tiny waves.
Copy !req
214. Everybody does that.
Copy !req
215. This will come out, you can make a very
nice, real looking seascape.
Copy !req
216. Quite, quite easy.
Copy !req
217. See there, already it should be beginning
to give you the impression of water
Copy !req
218. moving in there.
Copy !req
219. All right, let me grab a little filbert
here.
Copy !req
220. We said the eye of the wave was gonna be
right there.
Copy !req
221. So I'm gonna take a little of the titanium
white, put the least little bit
Copy !req
222. least little bit of cad yellow into it.
Copy !req
223. Not much.
Copy !req
224. Not much cad yellow. Load the bristles
full of color.
Copy !req
225. Let's go up in here.
Copy !req
226. If this is gonna be the transparency
or the eye, go right in here and start
Copy !req
227. scrubbing some color in.
Copy !req
228. Just scrub it hard.
Copy !req
229. You wanna push it right into the fabric.
Copy !req
230. Right into the fabric.
Copy !req
231. And then we'll work outward.
Copy !req
232. Cause a little light's gonna play right
along that wave there.
Copy !req
233. See, just sort of blend that in like that.
Copy !req
234. And that'll give us an idea of where our
transparency's gonna be.
Copy !req
235. I'm gonna wash the old brush.
Copy !req
236. Now then.
Copy !req
237. Okay, we'll go back to our little, for
some reason I keep picking up the number
Copy !req
238. three fan brush, and it works just as well.
Copy !req
239. Maybe it works better, who knows.
Copy !req
240. Whatever, whatever works for you.
Copy !req
241. Let's make the top of the wave, there it
comes.
Copy !req
242. See it just crash over?
Copy !req
243. Gotta make those little noises.
Copy !req
244. Just think about water crashing right over
there.
Copy !req
245. There it comes, right over the top.
Copy !req
246. I'm gonna add a little touch of that
Copy !req
247. cad yellow to it, just a little bit.
Copy !req
248. Just so it separates it from the
background a little better.
Copy !req
249. Oh, that's nicer.
Copy !req
250. That's nicer.
Copy !req
251. Like that, see?
Copy !req
252. And that's basically all we need.
Copy !req
253. And let's see, let me grab another fan
brush here, I have several of them going.
Copy !req
254. Let's take a little of our phthalo blue, a
little crimson, make a little lavender
Copy !req
255. type color, maybe even a little black in
there.
Copy !req
256. There we go.
Copy !req
257. Touch of the white.
Copy !req
258. That'll make a nice shadow color.
Copy !req
259. Nice shadow color for our foam here.
Copy !req
260. We can go back up in here.
Copy !req
261. Decide where your foam's gonna live.
Copy !req
262. And we can just begin scrubbing in here
just using the corner of the fan brush.
Copy !req
263. Or you could use a filbert.
Copy !req
264. Filbert might even work a little better.
Copy !req
265. Depends on what you like.
Copy !req
266. Just try them both and see which one
works the best for you.
Copy !req
267. After a while, after you've painted for a
little while in this technique, you
Copy !req
268. become so comfortable with it, you can
literally just about pick up any brush
Copy !req
269. and do anything.
Copy !req
270. There, I'm going back to my little filbert.
Copy !req
271. We'll put a little more of that white with
a touch of cad yellow into it.
Copy !req
272. And maybe, maybe, maybe right in here, push
upward.
Copy !req
273. And let's put a little foam splashing
right on top of that shadow there.
Copy !req
274. Just put it in, something like so.
Copy !req
275. And we wipe that off.
Copy !req
276. Get some nice clean color on there, there.
Copy !req
277. Bring it right on up, something like that.
Copy !req
278. Now then, I can use a one inch brush, take
just the corner of it and very gently
Copy !req
279. blend that until it's just as soft as silk.
Copy !req
280. Just blend it very gently.
Copy !req
281. until it's just very, very soft in there.
Copy !req
282. Now, good clean, dry brush.
Copy !req
283. And back to this transparency that we
were working on.
Copy !req
284. We have an idea of where it's at, it's
right in here.
Copy !req
285. We have our white with a little bit of cad
yellow in it.
Copy !req
286. And take the corner of the brush, I'm
using a two inch, but you can use
Copy !req
287. whatever.
Copy !req
288. And just blend that, tiny little circles.
Copy !req
289. And you can blend this, you will not
believe how smooth it'll become.
Copy !req
290. Just blend it.
Copy !req
291. There.
Copy !req
292. And now we can begin thinking about the
shape of our wave.
Copy !req
293. There, we can grab that and begin pulling
it a little bit.
Copy !req
294. Time to make some big decisions here.
Copy !req
295. Let me find my liner brush.
Copy !req
296. I'm gonna go into a little of that white
paint thinner.
Copy !req
297. This is the white that had the little bit
of yellow in it, and let's just put a
Copy !req
298. little highlight right up here on top of
this.
Copy !req
299. Just a little highlight.
Copy !req
300. There it comes, a little bit of splashing
up here.
Copy !req
301. There.
Copy !req
302. And back in here.
Copy !req
303. Right, all kinds of little foam patterns
that are living back here.
Copy !req
304. And at home, when you have a lot of time, you
can just go in here and put all kinds
Copy !req
305. of little details.
Copy !req
306. They yell at me here if I go over 30
minutes, so we have to hurry a little.
Copy !req
307. No sense of humor.
Copy !req
308. Don't understand that.
Copy !req
309. I'd like to have an hour of shows.
Copy !req
310. I could show you a lot more.
Copy !req
311. But see how that makes that little bit
back here just pop right out at you?
Copy !req
312. That easy.
Copy !req
313. Seascapes really don't have to be hard, and
you don't just have to do the little
Copy !req
314. simple looking ones that we see so often.
Copy !req
315. There, maybe that comes down.
Copy !req
316. This is where you begin forming all the
little things that are happening in here.
Copy !req
317. a little bit darker color, and we'll put a
line right under here.
Copy !req
318. That line will separate it from the eye.
Copy !req
319. It really makes it jump out.
Copy !req
320. And back in here, a few little things
that you can see through the wave, through
Copy !req
321. the transparency.
Copy !req
322. Let's get crazy, what the heck.
Copy !req
323. What the heck?
Copy !req
324. Maybe, maybe, I just had another idea.
Copy !req
325. Let's have that crashing against something.
Copy !req
326. I'm gonna go into my Van Dyke brown, black,
dark sienna, just mix them up on the
Copy !req
327. brush, all three of the very dark colors
here.
Copy !req
328. Let's have a great big stone that lives
out here in the water.
Copy !req
329. Maybe this is off the coast of California,
Oregon or somewhere.
Copy !req
330. So just take the fan brush, decide where
you want this stone to live and come right
Copy !req
331. up in here, touch, and let's just make a
basic, maybe this is one of them big
Copy !req
332. beautiful rocks that lives out in the
water.
Copy !req
333. Something like so.
Copy !req
334. Just let it go wherever.
Copy !req
335. And the old fan brush is good for forming
rocks like this.
Copy !req
336. Maybe it's got a little point out here, who
knows.
Copy !req
337. Gotta have a place for the seagull to set
up there.
Copy !req
338. Yeah, I know.
Copy !req
339. I like seagulls too, what the heck.
Copy !req
340. Like any kind of old bird or critter.
Copy !req
341. They're all very special.
Copy !req
342. Maybe I'll put a little projection out
here.
Copy !req
343. Ooh, almost covered up all my little foam.
Copy !req
344. That's all right, we know it's back there.
Copy !req
345. We know it's back there, no big deal.
Copy !req
346. Put a little of that brown down in here, too.
Copy !req
347. Maybe we'll have a little beach down here.
Copy !req
348. So we put a little brown, so we put white
on there, and we'll have some sand.
Copy !req
349. Now then, while I have that, I'm just gon
na reach up here and grab a little of the
Copy !req
350. white, a little dark sienna into it.
Copy !req
351. It's the same old dirty brush.
Copy !req
352. And maybe there's a little highlight
on top of this stone.
Copy !req
353. I don't want much, because this is almost
a silhouette.
Copy !req
354. It would almost be a silhouette.
Copy !req
355. If you have a sunset, there would not be a
lot of color up here.
Copy !req
356. And just by changing strokes, you can make
this look rough and jagged, and can
Copy !req
357. actually almost, like you're forming a
rock, just by changing some of the strokes.
Copy !req
358. Make all kinds of little projections and
stuff.
Copy !req
359. See how easy that is to make a rough
looking old rock?
Copy !req
360. It looks like seagulls have been living up
there for a long time.
Copy !req
361. Yeah, there.
Copy !req
362. There we go, maybe, shoot, who knows, maybe
there's another big old rock right here in
Copy !req
363. the, sort of in the front, and you can
just form it.
Copy !req
364. Just decide what shape it is,
Copy !req
365. Just begin forming the basic indication.
Copy !req
366. Once again, don't let this get too bright
on you.
Copy !req
367. Don't do too distinct of a rock, because
as dark as this is, this would basically
Copy !req
368. be a silhouette.
Copy !req
369. You would only make out a little tiny bit
of detail.
Copy !req
370. And it'll lose that illusion.
Copy !req
371. There.
Copy !req
372. Shoot.
Copy !req
373. You know, a lot of the nice rocks and
stuff that
Copy !req
374. out around California and Oregon, sometimes
maybe that seagull drops a seed up there.
Copy !req
375. A little of that phthalo blue, brown, crimson.
Copy !req
376. Maybe he drops a little seed up there from
his lunch.
Copy !req
377. Maybe a little tree grew up there.
Copy !req
378. Maybe a little old scraggledy, is that a
word, scraggledy?
Copy !req
379. Maybe a little old scraggledy evergreen
tried to grow right up here on the side of
Copy !req
380. this rock.
Copy !req
381. And there he comes.
Copy !req
382. I want him to be pretty rough.
Copy !req
383. And notice that most of the limbs here I'm
putting on one side, because sometimes
Copy !req
384. around that area the wind blows so hard
that limbs only grow on one side of the
Copy !req
385. tree.
Copy !req
386. Yeah, that's true.
Copy !req
387. Ugly little things sometimes, but they
only have
Copy !req
388. limbs and branches growing on one side.
Copy !req
389. The wind just sort of wraps them all
around, I guess.
Copy !req
390. It's sort of strange looking when you
first see it.
Copy !req
391. But that really is the way they look.
Copy !req
392. When I first, I was born and raised in
Florida, so I'd never seen anything
Copy !req
393. like Oregon and California.
Copy !req
394. When I first went out there, I almost
couldn't believe how funny some of the
Copy !req
395. little trees looked.
Copy !req
396. But they're beautiful.
Copy !req
397. Absolutely beautiful.
Copy !req
398. There we go.
Copy !req
399. Now then, let's put some water down there.
Copy !req
400. I'm gonna take white and get a little
touch of that phthalo blue.
Copy !req
401. That's so pretty. A little touch of
phthalo blue.
Copy !req
402. Something, yeah, maybe about like that.
Copy !req
403. I'll wipe the old knife off.
Copy !req
404. Now I wanna take and pick up a small roll
of paint right on the edge of the knife
Copy !req
405. there, little knife, got the little knife.
Copy !req
406. And you have to make a big decision
here.
Copy !req
407. Maybe, maybe, maybe, yep.
Copy !req
408. Push very hard.
Copy !req
409. Very hard. We'll have a little, little
doer right there.
Copy !req
410. Okay, just put it on with a knife, something
like so.
Copy !req
411. Then take, let me wipe this fan brush
off and get the excess paint off of it.
Copy !req
412. Better wash it clean.
Copy !req
413. You really need a clean fan brush, it's
good and dry.
Copy !req
414. You grab that, there, see?
Copy !req
415. And sort of pull it to shape and form your
waves.
Copy !req
416. Just like so.
Copy !req
417. Then a nice, easy way of making a little
way, and I'll show you something else here.
Copy !req
418. Watch here, watch here.
Copy !req
419. Sometimes you want reflections in your
water.
Copy !req
420. This water's very thin.
Copy !req
421. It's almost on the beach.
Copy !req
422. So just by pulling down like that, just
pulling down and going across.
Copy !req
423. Put a little right there too.
Copy !req
424. Go across.
Copy !req
425. It'll create that shine like you get when
water's reflecting.
Copy !req
426. Now then, let's take our small knife, a
little bit more of that blue and white, come
Copy !req
427. right up under that rock.
Copy !req
428. And maybe there's another happy little
ripple right there.
Copy !req
429. But push very hard with this knife, very
hard.
Copy !req
430. Make it bend.
Copy !req
431. Make it bend.
Copy !req
432. And then, back to our little fan brush, grab
this, and it needs to be straight, because
Copy !req
433. this is very flat here.
Copy !req
434. See, and just pull those back.
Copy !req
435. Isn't that the easiest way you've ever
seen of making that?
Copy !req
436. There.
Copy !req
437. See, so all you gotta do is just pull it
back.
Copy !req
438. Shoot, who knows, I'll tell you what.
Copy !req
439. One more for practice.
Copy !req
440. One more for practice.
Copy !req
441. Here's one right here.
Copy !req
442. Really, really push hard though.
Copy !req
443. So you get that little ridge of paint
there.
Copy !req
444. I guess that's what you'd call it, a
little ridge.
Copy !req
445. Maybe there's some little doers that
come out in here.
Copy !req
446. This one's really getting shallow in here.
Copy !req
447. Really getting shallow.
Copy !req
448. Grab it once again and pull it back.
Copy !req
449. That's just one of the nicest little ways
of making that.
Copy !req
450. Now back to our little liner brush.
Copy !req
451. A little of that blue and white with paint
thinner on it.
Copy !req
452. Make it very thin.
Copy !req
453. And we can come in here and just begin
adding all kinds of little details.
Copy !req
454. And the more of these that you put in, the
better your painting will look.
Copy !req
455. Just drop some of these little doers in.
Copy !req
456. Right around our rocks here.
Copy !req
457. See there?
Copy !req
458. That easy though, you can make all kinds
of little things.
Copy !req
459. We could take, we could take, just put a
little rock here and there, use a filbert
Copy !req
460. brush, dark on one side, a little bit of
light on the other, and just, see there, pop
Copy !req
461. in a little rock or two.
Copy !req
462. Something like that.
Copy !req
463. Take our liner brush with that thin blue, and
just clean up the edges.
Copy !req
464. And that easy.
Copy !req
465. You got some little rocks laying up here
on the beach.
Copy !req
466. All right.
Copy !req
467. As I say, this is one of the nicest, easiest,
simplest little seascapes that you've
Copy !req
468. ever tried.
Copy !req
469. You'll like it.
Copy !req
470. From all of us here, I'd like to wish you
happy painting, and God bless, my friend.
Copy !req
