1. - Two uninhabited Pacific islands.

31. on this remote Pacific island.

36. they haven't been able to find a sustainable source of food.

38. - And the men are getting weaker by the day.

42. - If you tell any chef that cooking for 11 people

44. - So far, it's 47-year-old Vic, the island's top hunter,

45. who's managed to save the group from starvation.

47. - If I'd laid back a little bit further into the sun,

48. it would seem like it was a holiday.

49. Apart from the fact that later on I'm gonna have to walk

50. half a mile for water, fish until we can eat,

51. and chop a lot of firewood.

52. But potentially the shittiest holiday

53. anyone will ever go on.

54. - The men have now been living on the island for a month.

55. Unable to find a reliable source of food,

56. they've had to survive on a meager, low-calorie diet

57. of limpets, coconuts, and the occasional fish.

58. - We are starting to starve.

59. We're not eating enough.

60. I mean look, I've never seen my rib cage like that

61. since I was bloody 12 or 13.

62. I've got a bloody lollipop head.

63. It looks the wrong size for my body.

64. It looks completely out of place.

65. There's nothing to me.

66. - After four weeks on such an extreme low-calorie diet,

67. the men are actually in danger of entering what's called

68. autophagi, and this literally means "to self-eat."

69. Their bodies start to cannibalize their selves,

70. and if they don't eat,

71. find a sustainable food source for the long term,

72. their physical condition won't just be in decline,

73. it will be in free fall.

113. the men have a grueling morning ahead of them.

118. Sam has decided to spend the morning bird trapping,

119. instead of chopping wood.

121. So I'm under a little hide,

124. and hopefully, the vulture's gonna come down,

125. grab the meat, and I'll pull this rope,

126. and we'll be in business.
