20. But the thing is, I think Texas

21. is the most important thing we shoot.

24. - There's a lot riding on Texas because the Hoonitruck

25. is supposed to be the greatest moment in the film.

26. The thing here that's interesting is that

27. it looks so different from what we've done before

28. because it's small town America.

29. - The U Drop Inn,

30. The Tower Station, as we call it.

31. It's quite an icon since the movie Cars came out.

32. All three of the cars movies have had a likeness

33. of this building in it.

34. We had over 20,000 visitors here last year,

35. actually sign the book inside and it's due to the popularity

36. of Route 66 to some extent.

37. A third of the people

38. that signed that registration book in there

39. were from foreign countries.

40. - You know, we're so used to shutting down San Francisco

41. but I think there's a really cool

42. 'Dukes of Hazard' toughness of this

43. that we've never done before

44. and fits perfectly for the truck.

45. Yeah so when we set out to build truck,

46. we had so much success building the Hoonigan the Mustang

47. and the reason we built the Mustang,

48. there's an audience that loves looking at rally cars

49. but there's an even bigger audience that likes looking

50. at muscle cars and then with that same thought,

51. there's an even bigger audience that likes trucks.

52. The number one sold vehicle in America for decades has been a truck.

53. - Have you ever driven a truck? A proper, like, American truck.

54. Not like a little, like, "Oh this is our truck,

55. "we're towing a caravan in Europe."

56. Like, it's not really a truck. You know what I mean, like...

57. Letter frame, big dumb V8, ice cold air conditioning.

58. And like, oh man, the old GM's,

59. under the steering wheel,

60. there was a little vent and you were like,

61. "What the hell is that for?"

62. It was literally to blow ice cold air...

63. in the summer.

64. Trucks are amazing.

65. Get yourself a truck.

66. - So it's a prep day. It's our shake-down day.

67. The truck itself looks awesome.

68. The actual level of this truck is really good.

69. - The Hoonitruck is something

70. we've been working on for years.

71. When it stands by itself,

72. you don't realize how big it is.

73. It's so wide,

74. we actually have to put on space saver spares

75. just so we can get into an enclosed trailer.

76. Its just a massive vehicle.

77. The truck from ground up was designed to be

78. a Gymkhana car.

79. It's got huge 20 inch wheels,

80. bigger than anything we've ever run

81. because it fills the Fenders right.

82. It makes it look like a Hot Wheels car.

83. All the body panels have been built out of aluminum.

84. It took a ton of work.

85. It's not something you just stick into a press

86. and something comes out.

87. The chassis is four different parts so you can take it apart

88. if you crash it.

89. The engine in it was prototyped for going to the

90. Ford GT super car which then went on to win Les Mans.

91. - As long as it performs today and the engine's good

92. and we've got a few flames and it sounds good

93. then we'll be ready for tomorrow morning.

393. and hopefully I get on the throttle and it pushes me out.

394. Or I can go wide and try and gain some speed and then

395. handbrake again.

443. What Ken really doesn't wanna do

444. is hit any of these 76 cars with the Hoonitruck.

445. Mostly because I want some of them for my collection.

447. There's definitely an Edsel wagon that I really want.

449. There's also a couple Falcons.

450. Part of a new project that we're working on,
