819. It's a single-story Pueblo-style home,

820. seamlessly integrated into the fresh air natural landscape

821. of this High Desert community.

822. It will have three bedrooms, two and half bathrooms,

823. with a tastefully xeriscaped backyard

824. adorned with indigenous succulents

825. that thrive without the need for any irrigation whatsoever.

826. But the succulents aren't the only thing

827. indigenous to this land.

848. the Native peoples on whose ancestral homelands we gather,

849. as well as the diverse and vibrant communities

850. of the Eight Northern Pueblos who make their home here today.

879. as having obtained this land

880. through a long history of colonization.

922. This is a sort of rebirth.

927. She is a Pojoaque Pueblo member.

928. Española and the greater Santa Fe area

929. is the Indigenous ceramics capital of the world.

930. They have a glazing technique

931. that's been honed over centuries.

932. And each piece is this magical collage of knowledge

933. that's been passed down through generations.

934. When I gift a piece to a new member of our community,

935. it's an emotional and transcendent experience for me.

936. So when I saw Asher holding his cell phone against the clay

937. like it was some item being rung up at Pottery Barn,

938. just complete disregard for the culture

939. and for the moment.

940. We love giving the Indigenous ceramics out.

941. It's sort of like the closing of the transaction.

942. Just so oblivious.

943. You look at this pottery

944. and you think they might run, you know,

945. 80 to $100 tops.

946. But they actually are $1,500 per piece.

947. Um, but I was able to negotiate a 20% discount

948. from the artist because we buy them in bulk.

949. It's moments like this

950. that make me question if Asher, is this man I married,

951. truly understands me.

952. I mean, every relationship reaches the point

953. where you start to question things.

954. It's normal.

955. It happens to everyone.

956. But what if the thought doesn't leave your head?
