548. I was protecting you.

549. - I have to look out for Zoe. - We need to go,

550. Mr. Edgar.

551. So, from now on, the talking points

552. don't come from Suzanne. They come from me.

553. I approve every single word of copy.

554. Are we clear?

555. - Crystal, ma'am. - Jesus Christ.

556. It's like this script was written by a roomful

557. of chapped-ass monkeys, am I right?

558. It's so bad.

559. Um...

560. I wrote it, ma'am.

561. I'm sorry.

562. Is your idiot brain getting fucked by stupid?

563. No, that's not rhetorical.

564. Answer me.

565. What if I said yes?

566. Then I would have to punish you.

567. How would you punish me?

568. My idiot brain is getting fucked by stupid, ma'am.

569. Well, how'd you get on?

570. Oh, Nina's gonna love this.

571. See? Told you.

572. Easy-peasy.

573. I can't do this.

574. Mon coeur?

575. Those girls...

576. The girls who shot you?

577. They were just scared.

578. I know, I don't blame them.

579. They were bought and sold

580. same as me.

581. Butcher

582. sold me.

583. He doesn't treat any of us as people.

584. Butcher—

585. Shining Light—

586. Little Nina.

587. They are the same.

588. We only have each other.

589. It's you

590. and me.

591. You're right.

592. Maybe it's time we leave.

593. - Really? - Really.

594. When?

595. Well, Butcher, he can, uh...

596. Well, he can lick my asshole.

597. But Hughie

598. and, uh, and M.M., they need us.

599. So we do this job.

600. And then where do you want to go?

601. Marseilles.

602. We go to Marseilles.

603. Hey.

604. Heavy flow day?

605. Kidding.

606. Be honest.

607. You thinking of popping my melon?

608. Who knows? Give it a whirl?

609. Can we make this quick?

610. It's been a long day.

611. It has.

612. It can't have been easy shanking the old man like that.

613. But, if it's any consolation,

614. he was ready to do exactly the same to you.

615. What's this?

616. Just a little oppo research

617. that I borrowed from Edgar's office.

618. How do you think I found out you were one of us?

619. This isn't his. This is someone else's.

620. No.

621. It's his.

622. You're not his daughter.

623. You're his weapon.

624. It's what they do.

625. They all do it.

626. All of them.

627. Look, the point is,

628. they have to do that to us.

629. They have to, because they know

630. - deep down when they lie awake at night... - Do you have it or not?

631. As promised.

632. Original recipe. All 11 herbs and spices.

633. Vicky.

634. I'm glad you chose your own kind.

635. That was smart.

636. Butcher, can I, uh...

637. What are you doing?

638. Contingency.

639. In case things go ass over tit at the lab.

640. I want to try some.

641. Don't be daft.

642. This shit is poison, Hughie.

643. A lad like you don't want no part of it.

644. What, you mean like a loser?

645. A fuckup?

646. Sooner or later, Homelander will find Ryan.

647. Okay? It's just a matter of time.

648. I have to do this, all right?

649. You don't.

650. Annie's in just as much danger.

651. Homelander almost lasered me in half in front of her,

652. and it was like... it was like I was back

653. with every bully that I ever had, just taking it.

654. And then she had to save me again.

655. Butcher, please. Please.

656. Please.

657. Because right now, I am so angry that I can't even breathe.

658. Oh, Hughie.

659. It's shittier.

660. It's not power.

661. It's punishment.

662. You don't deserve none of it.

663. What, and you do?

664. Get ready to go.

665. You do have a hell of a view from up here.

666. I'll give you that.

667. You should see it from space.

668. Unbelievable. Eighty over 60.

669. Your entire life is imploding,

670. and it's as if you're reading fucking John Grisham.

671. I heard about your, uh,

672. temporary leave of absence, by the way.

673. Those things do have a nasty habit

674. of becoming permanent, though, don't they?

675. - Don't blame Vicky. You... - I don't.

676. If there's one thing I taught her,

677. it was to play all sides.

678. She's more like me than I ever imagined.

679. But I am curious.

680. What did you give her?

681. A little respect, Stan.

682. Something you should've given me.

683. What good would that do?

684. Where would it even go

685. but to the bottomless, gaping pit of insecurity

686. you call a soul?

687. Oh, God. You want to know something?

688. I used to be intimidated by you.

689. I did.

690. And now I look at you, I-I'm just...

691. I-I have no idea why. Truly.

692. Y-You're not even pathetic.

693. You're-you're just... nothing.

694. Then why are you still here,

695. looking for my approval like I'm your daddy?

696. And even if I were, what would there be to approve of?

697. The company is yours.

698. No one left to stand up to you.

699. But I think you'll come to sorely regret that.

700. And why is that?

701. Because there's no one left to cover for you, either.

702. Eventually, probably soon,

703. the world will recognize you

704. for the pitiful disappointment you are.

705. You are not worthy of my respect.

706. You are not a god.

707. You are simply bad product.

708. I'm scared.

709. I know.

710. You know, when I was little, they did the same thing to me.

711. And I'm all right.

712. We have to, okay?

713. 'Cause you know what? It's gonna make you

714. so strong and safe.

715. Forever.

716. - Okay? - Okay.

717. Okay, turn around. On your belly.

718. Just a pinch.

719. Okay. Okay. Come here, come here, come here.

720. It's okay. Shh.

721. It's okay. It's okay. Shh.

722. Shh, shh. It's okay.

723. - Ow! - It's gonna be okay.

724. Shh, shh. It's okay.

725. I've got you. I've got you. Shh.

726. That chick Nina didn't do us no favors.

727. That ain't a lab. It's a military compound.

728. Russian military compound.

729. Be like storming a Baja Fresh.

730. Baja Fresh ain't shooting us

731. with AK-47s on full auto, motherfucker.

732. Red Dawn, motherfucker.

733. Rocky IV, motherfucker.

734. Come on.

735. We ain't got much time.

736. Any idea what this Supe gun is

737. - supposed to look like? - Ain't the joy in the discovery, eh?

738. What is it?

739. Hey, there's something here.

740. Look.

741. Look, look. Oh.

742. Hey.

743. What does it say?

744. Says his name is Jamie.

745. Jamie.

746. Hi.

747. - Are you okay, Jamie? - No, no, no, don't fuck with it.

748. Just leave him alone.

749. Aw. Jamie.

750. Who's a handsome, petite, little gerbil?

751. It's a hamster.

752. My daughter went through three of them.

753. Oh, shit.

754. Motherfucking V'd-up hamster.

755. I told you

756. not to fuck with him. Goddamn it.

757. Look lively!

758. Merci, Jamie.

759. I'm out!

760. Oi!

761. Evening, cunts.

762. M.M.!

763. Oh! Oh!

764. Oh, shit. I'm sorry.

765. I'm sorry.

766. Uh...

767. Your dick's out.

768. Uh...

769. - Butcher? - All right, all right, look, hang about.

770. You and Hughie both took Compound V?

771. What are you two, fucking Supes now?

772. Temporary V.

773. Oh, she say, "Why do you do this to yourself on purpose?"

774. Only lasts 24 hours, all right?

775. Break glass in case of emergencies, you know,

776. - like this one. - And you give this to-to Hughie?

777. I didn't give it to him. The thieving git must have broken

778. into the case and nicked it.

779. - Uh... - Let's just find this thing

780. and get the fuck out of here, all right?

781. You're better than this, kid.

782. Butcher, I'm... Look...

783. I'm s... I'm sorry, okay? It's just, I...

784. Soldier Boy.

785. Ah... It's okay.

786. Kimiko.

787. It's okay. Huh?

788. It's okay.

789. She's not healing.

790. Why she's not healing?

791. Kimiko. Why does she not heal?

792. Kimiko. She's not healing!

793. Gauze. Frenchie, fresh gauze.

794. - Oh, no, no, no... - Give me some fresh gauze. Open your eyes.

795. Open your eyes. Hold her head up, Frenchie.

796. - Mon coeur. - Open your eyes, Kimiko.

797. - Hey. - Open your eyes. Open your eyes.

798. - Mon coeur. - Kimiko, there you go.

799. Look at Frenchie.

800. - Mon coeur? Mon coeur? - Open your eyes, Kimiko,

801. - open your eyes. - Soldier Boy was always an hard bastard,

802. - but not like that. - Mon coeur.

803. They must have done something to him.

804. What you think?

805. Mon coeur. Mon coeur.

806. - Kimiko... - It's over, Butcher.

807. There ain't no team for me to hold together no more.

808. Mon coeur?

809. No, please, please, no, no, no, no, no.

810. You made sure of that.

811. Come on. Come on. Kimiko!

812. Hold her head up, Frenchie.

813. - She's... No. - Kimiko, open your eyes.

814. - Mon coeur! - Open your eyes.

815. Hey, you know what? I think I want to fly home.

816. You want to fly?

817. Uh, the car's right here.

818. Um, next time?

819. No, no, no, no. Come on, I'll-I'll carry you.

820. Who wants to see Starlight and me fly?

821. Huh?

822. What, are you gonna disappoint them?

823. - Okay. - Come on, up you go.

824. There you go.

825. I, uh, I have a view I really want to show you.

826. It's gonna blow your mind.

827. Hold on tight.

828. This really is a beautiful city.

829. You know, you don't need to do this.

830. The cameras are gone.

831. Yeah.

832. But, see, that's the thing about me, Starlight.

833. If I promise something, I deliver.

834. Now, that is the view of a lifetime.

835. Alex?

836. Alex!

837. Oh, my God.

838. You fucking psycho!

839. Stop it. You know how that ends.

840. You know, besides,

841. this is your fault as much as it is mine.

842. - What? - A-Train told me about you two mutineers

843. and your little plot.

844. You just don't get it, do you?

845. I mean, you have no fucking grasp

846. of the situation you're in at all, right?

847. I'm gonna break it down one more time,

848. and I'm gonna make it crystal clear

849. so that even you can understand it, okay?

850. There will be no more plotting, planning, playing around.

851. That is over, okay?

852. From here on out, there is only my dutiful, loving

853. main squeeze Starlight, worshiping me and me alone.

854. Because if you step one inch out of line,

855. I mean, i-if you so much as fucking blink the wrong way,

856. then that, my love, will be Hughie.

857. Do you understand this time?

858. Good.

859. Then say it, so I know.

860. "That'll be Hughie."

861. That'll be Hughie.

862. There it is.

863. Find your own way home.
