1. What is it that haunts you?

2. Whose eyes peer at you from the dark?

3. Welcome to Peru, Mr. Kazama.

4. Maybe I should have been training at a higher altitude.

5. You'll have two days to acclimate before the tournament.

6. This way. We have a van ready.

7. Wh… Where's Heihachi?

8. Mr. Mishima is making preparations for the tournament.

9. Remember, do not advertise you're related to Mr. Mishima,

10. let alone Kazuya Mishima.

11. Many of those competing in the tournament tried their best to kill Kazuya.

12. Right. Okay.

13. I've gotta ride all the way to the tournament with this jerk?

14. Hwoarang.

15. Kazama.

16. Uh…

17. Hello again, everyone.

18. Please meet Jin Kazama.

19. Hi.

20. What's up?

21. Mmm. Hmm.

22. Hey, tough guys, save it for the tournament.

23. I should have known I'd see you here, Kazama.

24. Maybe you'll finally get that rematch.

25. Wait, you two are friends?

26. - No! - No!

27. You, uh, see that one before?

28. - Huh. - That fight is sick.

29. It's from the second King of Iron Fist.

30. How do you know?

31. 'Cause Heihachi is still standing.

32. I heard the first fight didn't go… so well for him.

33. I heard there was video of the end of the fight, but the…

34. The Mishima Financial Group had it taken down.

35. Really?

36. Yeah.

37. Supposed to be brutal.

38. Until that fight, nobody could beat Kazuya.

39. Well, nobody except Phoenix up there.

40. He's the only other fighter who came close to beating Kazuya.

41. He almost beat Kazuya?

42. Don't let the haircut fool you.

43. Phoenix is one to watch out for.

44. Did you ever hear what happened to Kazuya

45. after the second King of Iron Fist?

46. Mmm, my sensei and a lot of the other fighting masters

47. just assumed Heihachi killed him.

48. Or… had him killed.

49. Killed him?

50. If Kazuya Mishima is dead…

51. …the world is a better place for it.

52. Kazuya was evil in its purest form.

53. Not that Heihachi's that much better.

54. I bet he did kill him.

55. May I suggest, instead of speculating about our generous host,

56. you instead enjoy the scenery,

57. as we are almost to the tournament.

58. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Iron Fist Arena.

59. Miss Miura.

60. I need to speak to Heihachi.

61. Up there.

62. So,

63. this is where it all takes place.

64. If Ogre indeed feeds on the energy of the fighting spirit,

65. he will not be able to resist this tournament.

66. You must survive the tournament long enough to face Ogre,

67. or this will all be for nothing.

68. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

69. Don't worry, I plan on winning,

70. and I plan on beating that green monstrosity into the ground.

71. There's… something I need to know.

72. What?

73. What happened to my father after the last tournament?

74. Your mind is lost in thoughts of the past

75. when you should be focused only on the present.

76. Only on this tournament.

77. Focus.

78. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen,

79. esteemed masters of the fighting arts,

80. and, most importantly, our contenders

81. for this, the King of Iron Fist Tournament.

82. Our generous host and festival sponsor,

83. Mr. Heihachi Mishima.

84. Welcome.

85. Only the best are invited to compete

86. in the King of Iron Fist competition.

87. One of you…

88. Hmm.

89. …will rise to be the best of the best.

90. May luck be with you all.

91. Tonight,

92. we celebrate your hard work, skill,

93. and dedication.

94. Tomorrow, you fight.

95. That is a man of few words, even at his own party.

96. Hmm.

97. I'll see you later.

98. Don't be out too late.

99. Got a fight tomorrow.

100. Word is,

101. you've been personally training with Heihachi.

102. That you're his new golden boy.

103. The name's Kazama. Jin Kazama.

104. And, yeah, I trained with Mr. Mishima.

105. So what?

106. Everything and everyone around that guy goes rotten.

107. You know what I mean?

108. I'd love to teach one of Heihachi's goons a lesson.

109. Hope I'll see you in the ring.

110. Yeah, walk away,

111. golden boy.

112. Is there a problem, Mr. Mishima?

113. Make sure that fighter

114. is Jin's first match… tomorrow.

115. Hai.

116. Nina?

117. Nina Williams?

118. It's Jin Kazama.

119. Can we talk?

120. A bloke could really get himself hurt

121. following a nice girl like me out into the dark.

122. What do you want, Kazama?

123. Uh… On the way here, what you said about Kazuya…

124. I was wondering,

125. were you there when he fought Heihachi?

126. The Mishima bloodline is tainted.

127. It's evil.

128. The last thing I wanna do is speak of Kazuya Mishima.

129. I don't know what you're up to,

130. but the last thing you wanna do

131. is get tangled up with the Mishimas.

132. I see you've got a way with women too.

133. Easy, tiger.

134. Just wanted to finish my drink away from all those people.

135. Hey, Phoenix.

136. Call me Paul.

137. What is it with you and this Kazuya-Heihachi thing anyway?

138. - Is that why you're here? - No.

139. Well, it's complicated.

140. Complicated?

141. Kid, "complicated" explains about every fighter here.

142. You know, Nina's not the most friendly gal,

143. but she's got a point.

144. This isn't the best place for you to be asking questions about the Mishimas.

145. You fought Kazuya once, didn't you?

146. I had a good teacher, Marshall.

147. The guy taught me tons.

148. Hmm. He once said, "How we carry ourselves in the ring

149. is a reflection of how we carry ourselves in life." Hmm.

150. Well, that being said,

151. Kazuya was a mean bastard.

152. It wasn't enough for him to just win.

153. He had to hurt and he had to humiliate his opponent.

154. It's no secret to anybody.

155. That's also how he ran the Mishima Zaibatsu

156. after he beat Heihachi.

157. Did you see Heihachi and Kazuya's fight?

158. Everything you have, I will now take from you.

159. Everything you thought you were,

160. I have proven you are not.

161. There's no reason Heihachi should even be alive,

162. let alone come back,

163. fight his way through the second King of Iron Fist,

164. and face Kazuya again.

165. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Heihachi killed Kazuya.

166. The guy's ruthless.

167. Probably killed other men for less.

168. But his own son?

169. That's enough about their fights.

170. We've got our own to worry about, right?

171. Yeah, um, you're right.

172. Good luck tomorrow, kid.

173. Good luck to you too.

174. Who needs luck?

175. I've got the skills.

176. Is Heihachi inside?

177. - Mr. Mishima is not to be disturbed, Jin.

178. Come on, Ganryu. You know me better than that by now.

179. You know I'm not gonna take no for an answer.

180. Heihachi, I need to speak to you.

181. Later.

182. Now.

183. Update the roster to include the late additions.

184. I want answers from Bosconovitch.

185. Hai.

186. Did you kill my father?

187. Yes.

188. It is true.

189. Kazuya was truly evil…

190. his blood poisoned by the devil itself.

191. I didn't understand at the time

192. that something had changed inside Kazuya.

193. Something… evil.

194. Now, after all these years,

195. I have the answer.

196. The Devil Gene.

197. The what?

198. The Devil Gene is a type of genetic abnormality.

199. It gave Kazuya strength and power

200. that was almost supernatural.

201. The Devil Gene.

202. Kazuya had always been rotten.

203. He always had the potential for great evil.

204. But it was his pure hatred for me

205. that awakened the Devil Gene inside of him.

206. This is why my mother never told me anything about him.

207. The Devil Gene enhanced Kazuya's fighting ability.

208. It gave him great power.

209. But it also consumed him.

210. He was completely overtaken by the evil force.

211. Where did it come from?

212. The origin of the Devil Gene remains a mystery to me.

213. I do not possess it.

214. But that kind of true fighting power

215. is what speaks to Ogre.

216. I have it.

217. How do you know?

218. I have been trying to unlock the mystery of Ogre for years.

219. We believe that he only emerges

220. when he can sense the most powerful of fighters.

221. He must have sensed that… in you.

222. Me?

223. What happened before Ogre arrived that night?

224. Had you been fighting?

225. Yes, against some bullies.

226. Then it's quite possible he sought to confront your power

227. to absorb it.

228. My mother died because of me.

229. You will honor her sacrifice

230. by drawing out and confronting Ogre.

231. What else has Bosconovitch learned about the pendant?

232. I had him send his latest findings.

233. The report is on your desk.

234. Hmm. What about the cell?

235. The doctor has assured me that the holding cell will contain Ogre.

236. I will soon learn everything there is to know about its power.

237. Do you believe Jin is strong enough to defeat it?

238. It doesn't matter if he can beat him.

239. I only need Kazama to lure Ogre into the open.
