1. Is this really...

2. Takopi.

3. Thank you, Takopi.

4. For killing her.

5. In your language, the act of taking another's life is called "killing."

6. Shizuka-chan is smiling.

7. Okay, let's go.

8. Sol Planet 3: Earth.

9. Day seven after landing from Planet Happy.

10. This is where my true story, where there are no more do-overs, begins-pi.

13. Takopi's Confession

14. I was worried, so I followed you.

15. Azuma-kun.

16. Yes? Uh...

17. What's that? It looks creepy.

18. Azuma-kun.

19. Whoa, it can talk.

20. Huh?

21. What?

22. Takopi's magic killed Marina-chan.

23. Pi. Shizuka-chan, it wasn't magic. It was a Happy Gadget.

24. Oh, Takopi is from Planet Happy.

25. I'm a Happian.

26. You said... What was it again?

27. Happy Fruits are good there, right?

28. Pi.

29. No, this is messed up.

30. What is?

31. Pi?

32. "What is"? I don't understand why you don't get it.

33. Why would you kill her? There had to be another way.

34. But Marina-chan—

35. And why were you just going to leave her here?

36. Don't you realize that'll cause problems?

37. A-Azuma-kun, you're being scary-pi.

38. You should be happier.

39. Listen, you. A person's dead.

40. Watch how you talk. You think this is funny?

41. I'm sorr—

42. Just be quiet for a second.

43. Azuma-kun.

44. Magic is what killed Marina-chan, so what can I do about it?

45. It wasn't magic.

46. A-And even if it was, murder is still murder.

47. You'll probably get sent to a juvenile facility, Kuze-san.

48. Huh?

49. Nobody will believe you if you blame it on an alien.

50. Die

51. I won't be able to go see Chappy, then.

52. A book I read once said turning yourself in gets you a lighter sentence.

53. You should go to the police now.

54. Azuma-kun.

55. Isn't there another way?

56. Another way?

57. Besides turning myself in.

58. I don't read any books.

59. But you look like you know a lot.

60. Sometimes, other people take the fall in novels.

61. Huh.

62. But novels are fiction.

63. I guess the most common way is covering up your crime. That's the go-to solution.

64. I see.

65. I guess I'll do that, then.

66. Yeah.

67. What?

68. I don't want to go to a juvenile facility, so I think I'll do that.

69. Um, how do you think I should do it?

70. Huh? No, wait, that's also a crime.

71. Besides, there's no way just us kids can—

72. We can use Takopi's magic.

73. So could you come up with a good way to hide all the evidence, Azuma-kun?

74. There's no way I can do—

75. Hey.

76. Why can't you do it?

77. I'll get caught in no time if it's just me and Takopi.

78. So I want you to help me, Azuma-kun.

79. I don't have any friends, and I can't ask my mom for help.

80. I have no one else.

81. Azuma-kun.

82. Your big brother managed it.

83. Please.

84. You're all I have.

85. Please help me.

86. I can do it.

87. Pi.

88. What's a "juvenile facility"-pi?

89. Hey, octopus.

90. Huh?

91. And this one?

92. Oh, that's a Memory Box-pi.

93. I'm not asking for the name.

94. Oh, um...

95. You can preserve anything you place inside it. Like a pretty leaf, for example.

96. You can change its size, huh?

97. Oh.

98. Let's bury her in this for now.

99. The octopus can hide the murder weapon on itself.

100. Pi.

101. All that's left is...

102. Pi. Pi. Pi.

103. Are you sure you can pull this off?

104. Pi! The Transformation Pallet lets you look exactly like someone else-pi.

105. But...

106. Okay. We'll go get a shovel.

107. Be careful not to give yourself away to her family or it'll ruin everything.

108. Right.

109. Um...

110. Hey!

111. Are you sure we want to do this-pi?

112. I mean, the whole thing about me pretending to be Marina-chan,

113. and how we're going to hide her.

114. Are you sure—

115. Takopi.

116. You'll get caught if you talk like that.

117. I'll do it-pi!

118. There you go again.

119. Keep out

120. If it puts a smile on Shizuka-chan's face...

121. then I'll do my best to impersonate Marina-chan from now on-pi.

122. Let's be all cheerful, just like Marina-chan. I got this-pi!

123. I'm ho—

124. I said...

125. What the fuck are these tassels for?

126. The curtains. I'm going to put them on the curtains.

127. How dare you spend my money on useless junk! You parasite!

128. I'm ho—

129. What about you and your nightclub—

130. It's my money! I'll use it however I like!

131. Oh, I'm ho—

132. me.

133. What would you have done if it had caught her in the eye?

134. She's a girl. What if it had left a scar on her face?

135. Gimme a break. She's not hurt, and she says she's fine.

136. Mari-chan has every right to sue you.

137. Cut it out with that victim act. You're wasting my time.

138. But you don't get that 'cause you've never worked a day.

139. How can you say that? I work hard for you and Marina.

140. Marina-chan's parents talk a lot every day. They sure do love each other-pi.

141. Stop being so patronizing.

142. You think crying will get you outta everything!

143. Huh.

144. Filth

145. Trash

146. Okay, let's go look for Chappy.

152. Trash

153. Oh, good idea-pi.

154. No, no, no, no! I said we can't go look for him right now.

155. Chappy's staying at your dad's place in Tokyo, right?

156. That's not somewhere kids can go alone.

157. Besides...

158. We should wait until this octopus is used to Marina's home.

159. Pi. Pi. Pi.

160. By the way, what's "divorce mediation"-pi?

161. I heard Marina-chan's mama say it-pi.

162. We buried the body, so it should be fine.

163. But we shouldn't leave town for a while.

164. We should come up with a good plan.

174. Okay.

175. Good.

176. I don't have time for this.

177. I have to go home and study.

178. Hey!

179. It's rare to see you playing outside.

180. Pi?

181. Are these friends from your class?

182. Junya.

183. Oh, so you don't call me "big bro" anymore, huh?

184. You're Azuma-kun's brother-pi?

185. "Pi"? Yeah, I am.

186. I-I could say the same to you, Junya. You're home early.

187. Oh, nah. I'm off to work now.

188. Get Mom to chill out for me, yeah?

189. Sure.

190. Pi.

192. He gets as much allowance as he wants.

194. H-He does-pi?

195. He went out and bought that stupid-looking ring with his own money.

196. All he has to do is study.

197. Everyone's pinning their hopes on him.

198. Azuma-kun.

199. Kuze-san?

200. You should take it, then.

201. Huh?

202. His ring. I bet he'll be so shocked, he'll quit his part-time job.

203. No, that's not how it works.

204. Besides, that's stealing—

205. I don't know how to say this, but...

214. Still, I can't believe I brought this thing home.

215. This is so much fun-pi, Azuma-kun. Pi! Pi!

216. Okay. Junya only takes his ring off when he takes a bath.

217. Let's sneak into his room.

218. There it is.

219. Good for you-pi.

220. Okay, let's...

221. Check it out.

222. I finally bought them. Matching rings with my girlfriend.

223. You gotta buy these things with your own money, you know?

224. Why's he acting like a normal person...

225. when the reality is he can have anything he wants?

226. Oh, I know. You've been wearing that forever, haven't you?

227. Next payday, I'll—

228. Will you get in trouble if he finds you here-pi?

229. Hey, can't you do something with your gadgets?

230. I don't know-pi. Not this-pi. Or that-pi.

231. Shoot!

232. Phone, phone...

233. Did I forget to close the window?

234. This is bad.

235. We can't let him see us. Let's get out of here, octopus!

236. Pi! This way-pi, Azuma-kun!

237. Oka—

238. Whoa.

239. Weight limit exceeded. Weight limit exceeded.

240. Battery depleted.

241. You're kidding me.

242. Huh?

243. I thought I heard a voice.

244. Guess not.

245. Pi. Pi. Pi.

254. Are you okay-pi?

255. Yeah.

256. Are you hurt anywhere-pi?

257. No.

258. Okay-pi.

259. Yeah.

260. I'm so glad-pi.

261. Oh, but we couldn't get the ring-pi.

262. I couldn't do—

263. Too bad.

264. You get a penalty instead, then.

265. No pancakes for you.

266. What?

267. Your big bro always got 100%.

268. You're a big boy, aren't you?

269. Mommy!

270. Okay, next time.

271. I'll do better next time for sure.

272. Aw, you can't have them again.

273. And I made them just for you.

274. I'm sorry. I'll be good and do better next time.

275. I've been thinking.

276. Maybe we're just wasting our time.

277. Because no matter how hard we try, you always fail.

278. Wait.

279. Please wait.

280. Please don't give up on me yet.

281. What happened to you two? You both look such a mess.

282. Do we-pi?

294. It's fine. I wasn't counting on them anyway.

306. They're not junk-pi.

307. We have lots of happy and cheerful gadgets on Planet Happy-pi.

308. Like a diorama of a Saturn dog.

309. Sounds like junk to me.

310. And the Big Happy Clock.

311. It's an incredible gadget that lets you travel in time, wherever or whenever you are.

312. Then, bring it here! It can fix everything that's happened!

313. Pi! I can't-pi!

314. You little...

315. Because I can't go back to Planet Happy-pi.

316. Hey.

317. Oh, Kuze-san! I think we should take the bullet train to Tokyo.

318. Hmm. Okay, then. Let's play.

319. Sure.

320. It's so much fun when the three of us spend time together-pi.

321. Shizuka-chan is smiling, too. I wish we could always be like this-pi.

322. Huh? But now that I think about it-pi, why can't I go back to Planet Happy?

323. So you just chose not to show up at my mom's 60th birthday party.

324. Hmm. I can't remember why-pi.

325. Well, I already had plans.

326. The homemaking class that makes you no money?

327. You're never home either since you're always at nightclubs!

328. What's wrong with going out and drinking with my own money?

329. How can you disrespect my parents like that?

330. Isn't that right, Marina?

331. Huh? What was that-pi?

332. Mari-chan, you're talking like that again.

333. Is that the new thing at school?

334. I'm glad you're more upbeat these days, Marina.

335. All your mom can do is complain.

336. How about you come live with Papa?

337. Huh?

338. We already reached an agreement on custody. You don't even care about her.

339. Papa's place?

340. What did you say?

341. Does that mean Tokyo? Where Chappy is?

342. I wanna go-pi! To where papa is!

343. O-Oh. Then, wanna stay at your daddy's place?

344. Pi!

345. I see. So you really want to live with your daddy?

346. Yes!

347. Mari-chan...

348. Daddy isn't coming home tonight.

349. Pi.

350. I did it-pi.

351. Why are you talking like that?

352. I have to let Azuma-kun know. We can go before summer break starts-pi.

353. Hey.

354. This is great-pi. It'll make Shizuka-chan so happy.

355. Mari-chan?

356. What is it-pi, Mama?

357. The way you talk...

358. Oh, I forgot-pi. Ah.

359. I gotta be careful-pi. Because from now on, I'm going to be Marina-chan.

360. It's very unladylike. Will you fix it for me?

361. Oh.

362. I'm sorry-pi.

363. Mama...

364. Mari-chan.

365. Mari-chan.

366. You understand, don't you?

367. Mari-chan.

368. Mari-chan.

369. I won't talk like that anymore.

370. You've changed, Mari-chan.

371. Before, you always used to be on my side and listened to what I had to say like a good girl.

372. B-Before? Then, I'll fix it. I'll be who I was before—

373. No.

374. No!

375. No, no, no!

376. Everything is different now!

377. Even if he doesn't notice or have a clue!

378. Mama, you're scaring me. Mama.

379. I know!

380. The girl in front of me isn't Mari-chan!

381. You're not!

382. Please don't!

383. Please.

384. Give me back my Marina.

385. I don't know who you are,

386. but Marina is my precious daughter. I carried her and gave birth to her.

387. I'm so sorry, Mari-chan. I haven't been a good mom, have I?

388. But I love you so much, so please...

389. Come back to me.

390. Marina-chan did terrible things to Shizuka-chan. But...

391. Close-knit!

392. Marina-chan, I'm sorry.

393. Marina-chan's papa and mama, I'm sorry I'm not Marina-chan.

394. I'm sorry I took her away from you.

395. Marina-chan.

396. I'm sorry for killing you.

397. I have to reflect...

398. on what I've done. On what I could've done instead.

399. Takopi.

400. What should I do from here on out?

401. Takopi.

402. Thank you, Takopi.

403. For killing her.

404. And...

405. Let's talk with Shizuka-chan again.

406. Geological Survey in Progress

407. Keep out

408. Hey, we've found something over here!

409. Hey, what the heck is this?

410. Whoa. What the hell?

411. Uh, this is bad.

412. A kid?
