1. - Previously
on "Superman & Lois"...Copy !req
2. - Remember that piece you wrote
about Ally Allston?Copy !req
3. - She was responsible
for a woman's death.Copy !req
4. - Podcast says you coerced
some of your sources.Copy !req
5. - Well, I disclosed that I had
a personal connection.Copy !req
6. - One of your sources
is recanting their story.Copy !req
7. They are painting a target
on your back! Who was it?Copy !req
8. - It was my sister, Lucy.Copy !req
9. If I hadn't found her,
she would have died.Copy !req
10. - I've been having visions.
- What exactly are you seeing?Copy !req
11. - Destruction, rocks crumbling.Copy !req
12. - No, no, no!
- Joe, don't!Copy !req
13. - Whatever's happening to me,
some other being is causing it.Copy !req
14. - Something came through,Copy !req
15. and it's even more powerful
than we hoped.Copy !req
16. - I don't know
what's happening.Copy !req
17. I tried getting into the mines
to see what's down there,Copy !req
18. but as soon as I got close,Copy !req
19. I had another vision
and crashed.Copy !req
20. It's completely debilitating.
I can't do anything.Copy !req
21. - I don't understand.Copy !req
22. Why is this thing
only affecting you?Copy !req
23. - Maybe it's Kryptonian.Copy !req
24. - Well, then you can't
go back there.Copy !req
25. - Well, I have to do something.Copy !req
26. If whatever this is breaks outCopy !req
27. and it's still affecting me
like this...Copy !req
28. - How long until you think
that happens?Copy !req
29. - Hopefully not anytime soon.Copy !req
30. - Someone else needs
to go in there, then,Copy !req
31. figure out
how much time we have.Copy !req
32. - Sure, but Amertek's
been shut down,Copy !req
33. and the DOD's back in charge,
and I cannot let Anderson knowCopy !req
34. that something down there
is making me vulnerable.Copy !req
35. - I'll call my dad, see
if he can get us credentials.Copy !req
36. - You don't think a surprise
visit from Lois LaneCopy !req
37. might raise a few questions?Copy !req
38. - It would,
but not one from me.Copy !req
39. - No, helping us figure out
what was causingCopy !req
40. the earthquakes
was a one-time ask.Copy !req
41. - Then consider this part B.Copy !req
42. - You promised Nat, John.
- I know.Copy !req
43. But is there anyone else
you can go to right now?Copy !req
44. Call Sam.Copy !req
45. - You got to be freakin'
kidding me.Copy !req
46. Freakin' joke.
Look at this.Copy !req
47. Ryan just, uh...Copy !req
48. posted another
freshman thirst trap.Copy !req
49. - Bro, I know you think
he's juicing,Copy !req
50. but he looks totally normal.
- That's my point!Copy !req
51. I mean, it makes
absolutely no sense.Copy !req
52. - Hey, look, you need to stop
obsessing over Timmy.Copy !req
53. It's not, like, healthy.Copy !req
54. - Really? Coming from the guy
that was up all night, what,Copy !req
55. looking at pictures
of his own girl again?Copy !req
56. - I don't know what
I'm gonna say to her, man.Copy !req
57. - What do you want—
stay together, break up?Copy !req
58. - I want her to not
have kissed someone else.Copy !req
59. - Care for a girl's opinion?Copy !req
60. Or not. Sorry.Copy !req
61. Didn't want to break up
the bro sesh.Copy !req
62. - No. No, no, no.
You're fine. Um...Copy !req
63. Did she say anything to you?Copy !req
64. - Just that she hated keeping
that secret from you,Copy !req
65. which, I mean,
maybe you can sympathize with?Copy !req
66. You know, the whole half-alien,
son-of-Superman thing?Copy !req
67. - I mean, that's a completely
different kind of secret.Copy !req
68. - Yeah, it's several
magnitudes bigger.Copy !req
69. - She's not wrong.Copy !req
70. Look, I mean, what Sarah did
wasn't great, sure,Copy !req
71. but at least she told you,
all right?Copy !req
72. And if you—if you want
to be honest with herCopy !req
73. about your powers one day,Copy !req
74. would you want her
to be cool about it,Copy !req
75. or would you want her
to react how you are right now?Copy !req
76. - 68% of Smallville High
students say they planCopy !req
77. on moving away
after graduation.Copy !req
78. That is up 10%Copy !req
79. from just 5 years ago.Copy !req
80. - How are you gonna get them
to stay, Mommy?Copy !req
81. - That's a very good question.Copy !req
82. By incentivizing them
to return.Copy !req
83. I want to take the money
from the Edge SettlementCopy !req
84. and create a zero-interest loan
program for all new startups.Copy !req
85. - Your old specialty.
- My old specialty!Copy !req
86. - Mm-hmm.
- So good, Babe!Copy !req
87. - Yeah, well, you know,Copy !req
88. I just figured you got to focus
on your strengths, right?Copy !req
89. - You guys are sweet.Copy !req
90. I just get so nervous
speaking in public,Copy !req
91. and I've got a lot here
to remember.Copy !req
92. - I don't know, babe—
maybe you just,Copy !req
93. ah, come off the cuff
a little more.Copy !req
94. - I need to come off as
professional and experienced.Copy !req
95. I mean, I can't just wing itCopy !req
96. and get
the benefit of the doubt.Copy !req
97. - I know, Lana, okay?Copy !req
98. But what's everyone
been saying to us?Copy !req
99. That they're extremely excited
about the factCopy !req
100. that there is a woman
running for mayor.Copy !req
101. - That's true,
but that is not enough to win.Copy !req
102. I mean, I need them
to instantly see meCopy !req
103. as a serious alternative
to Dean, or I'm toast.Copy !req
104. - Okay, I know, all right?Copy !req
105. But you got this.Copy !req
106. I mean, hell, you've already
met and greeted everyoneCopy !req
107. in Smallville, right?
- Mm-hmm.Copy !req
108. Yeah.Copy !req
109. - Hey, did, uh, we order
Sarah's cake yet?Copy !req
110. - No.
No, she's still convincedCopy !req
111. that she doesn't want
a quinceañera.Copy !req
112. - Well, she's getting one,
all right?Copy !req
113. I mean, this should be
the most special nightCopy !req
114. of our princesa's life, right?Copy !req
115. - Yeah. Perfect.Copy !req
116. - Okay. We'll be back.Copy !req
117. You don't worry about
anything, okay?Copy !req
118. You got this.Copy !req
119. - Who knows what it's like
to feel unsure of yourself?Copy !req
120. Who knows what it's like
to feel incomplete?Copy !req
121. Yeah.Copy !req
122. I do.Copy !req
123. I lived my entire life
in pursuit of becoming whole.Copy !req
124. Then something life-altering
happened to me,Copy !req
125. and that's where
I learned the truth.Copy !req
126. The truth is we are
all born incomplete.Copy !req
127. We have been
since the beginning of time,Copy !req
128. and there is nothing we can do
to change that...Copy !req
129. [cell phone ringing, vibrating]
Except for one thing.Copy !req
130. - Hey, Dad, what took you
so long to call me back?Copy !req
131. Where are you?
- In paradise.Copy !req
132. Got onto Deer Lake
this morning at 0600 hours.Copy !req
133. Not a soul for miles
except for me, the bass,Copy !req
134. and a little family
of sandhill cranes.Copy !req
135. - That sounds great.Copy !req
136. Listen, do you have
any contacts at the DODCopy !req
137. who might've been reassigned
to the Shuster Mines?Copy !req
138. - How should I know?
I'm retired, remember.Copy !req
139. Call my replacement.
He'll know.Copy !req
140. - I can't. He and Clark are not
on the best of terms right now,Copy !req
141. and I need to get John HenryCopy !req
142. into the mines
without Anderson finding out.Copy !req
143. - Why's that?Copy !req
144. - Let's go. Let's go.
We're gonna be late.Copy !req
145. - Hey, uh, Dad...
um, can we talk for a bit?Copy !req
146. - Uh, yeah, sure.
About what?Copy !req
147. - Uh, about me and Sarah.
- Okay.Copy !req
148. - A little while back,Copy !req
149. I told her I loved her,
and I meant it.Copy !req
150. - That—that's great, bud.
I'm—I'm happy for you.Copy !req
151. - T-that's not really it.Copy !req
152. Um, I-I just think it's time
to be honest and tell her,Copy !req
153. you know, everything.Copy !req
154. - You mean about having powers?Copy !req
155. - Yeah, like, all of it.Copy !req
156. - No.Copy !req
157. - I can't keep lying
to her face all the time!Copy !req
158. - I'll reach out to my contact.
- You're not telling her.Copy !req
159. - See what I can do.
- Why not?Copy !req
160. - Because I said so.
- That's not a reason!Copy !req
161. - Dad, hold on.Copy !req
162. - Do you realize if she told
just one person,Copy !req
163. our entire family
would be compromised?Copy !req
164. - Yeah, but she
wouldn't do that!Copy !req
165. - Or she could become the target
of someone in the futureCopy !req
166. who wanted to know my identity—
is that what you want?Copy !req
167. - No, but I can't keep lying
to her face all the time.Copy !req
168. - Jordan, I didn't even think
about telling your motherCopy !req
169. until I was an adult—after
I knew I wanted to marry her.Copy !req
170. - What if I want
to marry Sarah?Copy !req
171. - You're 15, Jordan.
- So?Copy !req
172. - So get in the car!Copy !req
173. - I want to marry her, Dad!Copy !req
174. - You don't know that!
- Yes, I do!Copy !req
175. No, you don't!Copy !req
176. - Dad...Copy !req
177. - I'm on my way.Copy !req
178. - Jordan, I'm sorry.Copy !req
179. - I'll take the kids to school.
- Lois, I—Copy !req
180. - I got it.Copy !req
181. - Is Jordan okay?Copy !req
182. - He didn't talk much
on the ride.Copy !req
183. I think you really scared him.Copy !req
184. - I don't even remember
everything that happened.Copy !req
185. I-I know he wasn't
listening to me.Copy !req
186. - He's a teenager.
That's gonna happen a lot.Copy !req
187. - Sarah's his first
real girlfriend...Copy !req
188. and he thinks
he's gonna marry her,Copy !req
189. and he wants to
tell her everything?Copy !req
190. How does he not understand
how dangerous that would be?Copy !req
191. - It's also the first time
he's been in love.Copy !req
192. Babe, I know that Jordan
was pushing back,Copy !req
193. but your reaction was strong.Copy !req
194. - I can't think straight today,Copy !req
195. let alone handle
that conversation.Copy !req
196. - Hey.Copy !req
197. - I almost called you,
like, 50 times last night.Copy !req
198. I thought you would've
at least texted.Copy !req
199. - I wanted to, uh, but—Copy !req
200. - But what?Copy !req
201. - I don't know how to fix this.Copy !req
202. - You think we need fixing?
- Yeah.Copy !req
203. - Jordan, I told you,
that kiss meant nothing.Copy !req
204. I want to be with you.
I-I love you.Copy !req
205. - It's—it's not about you.Copy !req
206. - Then what's it about?Copy !req
207. - I don't know
where we go from here.Copy !req
208. - Hey.Copy !req
209. - What's DHEA?Copy !req
210. - I think it's the—the roid
that Timmy's taking.Copy !req
211. What?
Candice, literally,Copy !req
212. it's the only thing
that makes sense, okay?Copy !req
213. He's definitely on something.
- I know he is.Copy !req
214. It's just—it's not that.
- What?Copy !req
215. - He took some stuffCopy !req
216. at Deucer Slavin's lake-house
party a few weeks ago.Copy !req
217. I didn't think
it was a big deal.Copy !req
218. - What?
It made him, like, stronger?Copy !req
219. - I guess so. I don't know.Copy !req
220. But it's not even,
like, a real drug.Copy !req
221. It's, like, some crystal crapCopy !req
222. that only grows in Smallville
or something.Copy !req
223. - Okay. Why didn't you
tell me this earlier?Copy !req
224. - I wish I didn't tell you now.
You're already freaking out.Copy !req
225. - I'm not—Copy !req
226. I'm not freaking out, okay?Copy !req
227. - Look, I'm sorry, okay?Copy !req
228. Just don't tell Timmy
that I told you, okay?Copy !req
229. - Okay.Copy !req
230. - So that's my priority—Copy !req
231. making this community thrive,Copy !req
232. building a sound economyCopy !req
233. based on regional industry
and agriculture,Copy !req
234. and using
this rare gift we haveCopy !req
235. to reinvest in us,Copy !req
236. not use it to support tax cuts
for outside companies.Copy !req
237. - Lana, these zero-interest
loans you're talking about...Copy !req
238. they just for small businesses?Copy !req
239. - Consider all family farms
around hereCopy !req
240. small businesses, Aidy.Copy !req
241. So this loan won't just be
for Main Street.Copy !req
242. - Just make sure y'all read
the fine printCopy !req
243. before signing any papers.
- I'm sorry?Copy !req
244. - These loans—
they gonna be anythingCopy !req
245. like those reverse mortgages
you sold us all years back?Copy !req
246. You know, a lot of people
lost their farms, including me.Copy !req
247. - At the time, I wasn't aware
how lopsided these loans were.Copy !req
248. But I will personally make sure
nothing like this happens again.Copy !req
249. - But weren't you the one
recruiting peopleCopy !req
250. for the man
who almost destroyed this town?Copy !req
251. - No one knew who Morgan Edge
really was, Chuck.Copy !req
252. - Right. Another thing
you weren't aware of, huh?Copy !req
253. That gonna be your answer when
everything you're preaching nowCopy !req
254. doesn't come to pass?Copy !req
255. We're supposed to vote for her
over George Dean,Copy !req
256. when she can't even answer
a simple question?Copy !req
257. - Come on.Copy !req
258. - This'll get you clearance.Copy !req
259. Call if you run
into any problems.Copy !req
260. Look, I just got to say,
if this thing is Kryptonian,Copy !req
261. regardless of what's going on
with you and Anderson,Copy !req
262. you got to fold him in.Copy !req
263. - If we do, he's gonna call
in his new team,Copy !req
264. and they're not ready for this.Copy !req
265. - From how it's affecting you,
you may not be either.Copy !req
266. - Let me find out exactly
what the situation is,Copy !req
267. and then we can decide
what to do afterwards.Copy !req
268. - You sure you want to
coach today?Copy !req
269. - I can't do anything else
right now,Copy !req
270. and I missed the last one.Copy !req
271. I should go.Copy !req
272. Thanks, Sam.Copy !req
273. - Always something
to worry about, isn't there?Copy !req
274. What else?Copy !req
275. - Clinging to people
who hurt meCopy !req
276. because I thought
they were what I needed.Copy !req
277. - I thought we were done
with all of this crap.Copy !req
278. - Yeah, so did I,
but now this podcastCopy !req
279. is having some mystery guest onCopy !req
280. who's just gonna lie
and say whatever Allston wants.Copy !req
281. Dad, I got to be ahead of this.
This isn't just me.Copy !req
282. This could ruin
"The Gazette," Chrissy...Copy !req
283. - Your sister know about this?
- She has to.Copy !req
284. She probably knows
who the podcast is working with.Copy !req
285. They were all in that group
at the same time.Copy !req
286. - You want me to find out
for sure?Copy !req
287. - I want you to get her
to talk to me.Copy !req
288. - I'm not getting in between
you and your sister.Copy !req
289. I can't go through that again.
- Dad, this is my career.Copy !req
290. - And she's my daughter!
- Damn it, so am I!Copy !req
291. Why will you never help me
when it comes to Lucy?Copy !req
292. - Because I don't want to
lose her, Lois!Copy !req
293. - You almost did, Dad.
She almost died, remember?Copy !req
294. Because you wouldn't
do anything.Copy !req
295. My God, I have never understood
this with you.Copy !req
296. After everything I discovered
Ally and Lucy were doing,Copy !req
297. everything I wrote in my piece,
and you still can't pick a side?Copy !req
298. You didn't read it, did you?Copy !req
299. - Why do I need to? She said
it wasn't like that for her.Copy !req
300. - It was like that for her.Copy !req
301. Don't bother talking
to Lucy for me.Copy !req
302. I will do this
without your help,Copy !req
303. like always.Copy !req
304. - Black, 48!
Set, hut!Copy !req
305. - That's how you do it, Ryan!
- Yeah!Copy !req
306. - Go, go, go! Yeah!Copy !req
307. Whoo!Copy !req
308. - No time like showtime!Copy !req
309. - Ah! Let's go!Copy !req
310. - Nice! Nice! Nice!
All day!Copy !req
311. - Ah! Come on!Copy !req
312. - Nice!Copy !req
313. - Whoo!Copy !req
314. - Keep driving!
Let's go, go, go, go!Copy !req
315. That's how you do it!Copy !req
316. Drive it! Drive it!Copy !req
317. - Yeah! Let's go!Copy !req
318. - That's what I'm talking
about, Ryan!Copy !req
319. Come on in!
Take five! You earned it!Copy !req
320. Big Shaw, bring it up!
- Yes, Coach.Copy !req
321. - You ready?
- Yes, sir.Copy !req
322. - You know,
this is the last timeCopy !req
323. that you can hit someone
without getting charged for it.Copy !req
324. You ready? You ready?
- Yes, sir. Yes, sir!Copy !req
325. - Let's go, defense!
- Don't worry, Kent.Copy !req
326. Some of those skills might rub
off on you eventually.Copy !req
327. - Yeah?
- Come on! Let's go, now!Copy !req
328. - Same go for the drugs
you've been taking, too?Copy !req
329. It's kind of pathetic,
you know,Copy !req
330. that that's the only way
that you can beat me.Copy !req
331. - So what? You gonna go nark
to Gaines on me now?Copy !req
332. - Whatever, man.Copy !req
333. - Oh, yeah, of course,Copy !req
334. 'cause it's your girl who's
the one who's hooking me up.Copy !req
335. - What?Copy !req
336. - She didn't tell you
that she's selling to me?Copy !req
337. You didn't know?Copy !req
338. Which one of us
is pathetic now?Copy !req
339. - Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!Copy !req
340. - Break it up!Copy !req
341. Ooh!
- Break it up! Break it up!Copy !req
342. - I'm good.
- Dad.Copy !req
343. - Come here!
- Let's go!Copy !req
344. - You coming with me!
Let's go!Copy !req
345. What's got into you?
Come on!Copy !req
346. - Get in there.
- Dad, I'm sorry.Copy !req
347. - What is wrong with you?
- It was Timmy.Copy !req
348. - I don't care! You don't just
lash out at people like that!Copy !req
349. - Okay, well, I should've
been the one out there!Copy !req
350. - Then act like it!Copy !req
351. - Dad?Copy !req
352. - Jonathan, get out of here.
- Dad?Copy !req
353. - Out!Copy !req
354. - Dad.
Dad, we need to go home now!Copy !req
355. - Everything okay?Copy !req
356. - Grandpa, we need
to get Mom now.Copy !req
357. - Lois? Did anyone get hurt?
- No.Copy !req
358. He was pissed because I got
into a fight after practice.Copy !req
359. - It wasn't just that.Copy !req
360. - What's wrong?
What happened to your hands?Copy !req
361. - My heat vision—
I-I couldn't stop it.Copy !req
362. - Wow.
Rage-aholic strikes again.Copy !req
363. - This was different! Oh—Copy !req
364. - Boys, go upstairs.
We'll talk about this later.Copy !req
365. Now!Copy !req
366. Clark, look at me.
- Mm.Copy !req
367. - You need to calm down.Copy !req
368. - I don't know
what's happening to me.Copy !req
369. I can't control
these outbursts.Copy !req
370. I ju—I blackout!
It's like I'm not even there!Copy !req
371. - You think it's 'cause of
whatever's down in the mines?Copy !req
372. - Yes. Yes.
All this anger, i-it's not mine.Copy !req
373. Since I went there,
I-I feel cornered and attacked,Copy !req
374. but it's not me.Copy !req
375. It's that thing.
It's trapped.Copy !req
376. - This isn't just visions.Copy !req
377. You're feeling
what it's feeling.Copy !req
378. - You are the most powerful
being in this world,Copy !req
379. and if you're losing control
to a Kryptonian creature,Copy !req
380. this is a national security
situation.Copy !req
381. - No, it is a family situation.Copy !req
382. Anything Kryptonian
that can affect ClarkCopy !req
383. can also affect the boys.Copy !req
384. And besides,
until we hear backCopy !req
385. from John Henry, we don't even
know if that's what it is.Copy !req
386. - Wait, why do you need
to hear back from my dad?Copy !req
387. - This is highly unusual.Copy !req
388. Normally it takes weeks
to get a retrieval agentCopy !req
389. after a collapse.
- Guess it was a good thingCopy !req
390. I was available.
- Thank God.Copy !req
391. My heart just breaks for the
families of our missing team.Copy !req
392. I swore I wouldn't leave
till we got answers.Copy !req
393. - I can't promise
a happy ending.Copy !req
394. - Then the truth
will have to do.Copy !req
395. Shall we?Copy !req
396. - If we cancel the bumper
stickers before they ship,Copy !req
397. we can still get half
our money back.Copy !req
398. - We're not canceling
anything, babe.Copy !req
399. This was a mistake, Kyle.Copy !req
400. I mean, what the hell was
I thinking running for mayor?Copy !req
401. - That, uh, now is the timeCopy !req
402. for a woman
to do a mayor's job.Copy !req
403. - Please, tell me
I never said that.Copy !req
404. I mean, it sounds so cliché.Copy !req
405. - Babe, you can't let
what Chuck said rattle you.Copy !req
406. - It's too late for that.
Were you not paying attention?Copy !req
407. - Yeah. Wasn't that bad.Copy !req
408. - Stop trying
to make me feel better.Copy !req
409. It didn't matter
how much I prepared.Copy !req
410. I still failed.Copy !req
411. This town is never gonna see me
as someone who can win.Copy !req
412. Now I'm gonna go take a hot bath
with a lot of bubbles.Copy !req
413. Can you please just keep
Sophie from bothering me?Copy !req
414. - Yeah.Copy !req
415. - Hey. You good?Copy !req
416. - My dad's not answering
any of my calls.Copy !req
417. He's probably just avoiding me.Copy !req
418. - Or his cell
just doesn't get receptionCopy !req
419. half a mile under the earth.Copy !req
420. - That's a really
annoying point.Copy !req
421. - Nat, I think your dad
is just trying to help.Copy !req
422. - Well, I mean, that's fine,
but he has to at least tell me.Copy !req
423. We've been through too much
to have secrets.Copy !req
424. - Yeah, I get it.Copy !req
425. Secrets are the hardest part,
for sure.Copy !req
426. - I guess you're probably used
to this kind of stuff.Copy !req
427. - Not at all, but I do try
to not let it getCopy !req
428. in the way of me being,
like, a normal person, I guess.Copy !req
429. - And how's that working out?Copy !req
430. - Well, when I found out
Candice's secret today,Copy !req
431. I started
a fight after practice,Copy !req
432. so not great.Copy !req
433. - I, uh, saw you guys have the
new Madden in the other room.Copy !req
434. - What, you play?
- Oh.Copy !req
435. 'Cause I'm a girl?
- Uh, yeah, sort of.Copy !req
436. - Well, now I'm gonna
straight up destroy you.Copy !req
437. - Really?
- Really.Copy !req
438. - Let's go.Copy !req
439. - You need to apologize
to the boys.Copy !req
440. - I can't believe
they saw me like that.Copy !req
441. - Nobody expects you to be made
of steel on the inside.Copy !req
442. I don't know if my dad
ever yelled at me like that.Copy !req
443. This thing...Copy !req
444. it feels like the end
of the world's coming.Copy !req
445. - Now's not the time to go
all doomsday on me.Copy !req
446. - Ah, I just feel
so powerless waiting.Copy !req
447. - That's what I'm here for.
- Lois—Copy !req
448. - Nope.
You're not leaving the houseCopy !req
449. until we hear back
from John Henry.Copy !req
450. - Is that blood?Copy !req
451. - Oh, God.Copy !req
452. I think you're right.Copy !req
453. - We must be close to where
the collapse occurred.Copy !req
454. Here.Copy !req
455. - The amount of power
it must've takenCopy !req
456. to collapse all this X-K...Copy !req
457. Do you have any idea
what might've caused it?Copy !req
458. - Oh, whatever it was...Copy !req
459. it wasn't seismic.Copy !req
460. It's detonation marks.Copy !req
461. Did somebody set off explos—Copy !req
462. - Yeah, they did.Copy !req
463. - All right, all right,
it was not that bad.Copy !req
464. - Dude, she got like five sacks
on your quarterback.Copy !req
465. - It's not that bad.
- Okay, sore loser.Copy !req
466. - Not that bad.
- Hey, boys, you got a sec?Copy !req
467. - I think that's my cue
to leave...Copy !req
468. with my victory chips.Copy !req
469. - Thank you, Natalie.Copy !req
470. Well...Copy !req
471. I owe you two an apology.Copy !req
472. - It wasn't really your fault,
you know?Copy !req
473. - He still meant what he said.
- That's true, I did.Copy !req
474. And my fault or not
doesn't change what happened.Copy !req
475. So I want to find a way
to make it up to you both.Copy !req
476. - Easy for me—just teach me
how to drive the truck, yeah?Copy !req
477. - Bro, that's all it takes—
driving the stupid truck?Copy !req
478. - If you want to keep riding
your bike everywhere...Copy !req
479. - We will start
next Saturday, okay?Copy !req
480. Let me talk
to your brother alone.Copy !req
481. - Sure.Copy !req
482. - I understand what it's likeCopy !req
483. to not be able
to tell someone your secret.Copy !req
484. - Yeah, but, Dad, you don't
understand the other side of it,Copy !req
485. being told the truth
after being lied to for years.Copy !req
486. - That's fair.Copy !req
487. And not telling you
or your brother,Copy !req
488. that was a guilt that I had
to live with every day.Copy !req
489. But if something
were to happen to SarahCopy !req
490. because you
told her your secret,Copy !req
491. that guilt would be
100 times worse.Copy !req
492. - Do you ever wish
you told Miss Cushing?Copy !req
493. - No.
Jordan, you have to trust me.Copy !req
494. What you want in life
can change pretty fast,Copy !req
495. especially at your age.Copy !req
496. - I don't know, Dad.
I-I love her.Copy !req
497. I don't think
that's ever gonna change.Copy !req
498. - I'll tell you what—
if in a year from nowCopy !req
499. you still feel the same way...Copy !req
500. then maybe you and I can have
a different conversation.Copy !req
501. - Really?
- Really.Copy !req
502. In the meantime,
I may have somethingCopy !req
503. to help show Sarah
that you still care.Copy !req
504. - Our timeline's been moved up.
I'm getting it out today.Copy !req
505. - How's John Henry?
- He hasn't moved in a bit.Copy !req
506. Probably just hit a roadblock.Copy !req
507. Lois...Copy !req
508. Can we talk?Copy !req
509. - About what?Copy !req
510. - I just wanted you to know
I read your article.Copy !req
511. - That girl—Copy !req
512. did she really die
because of Ally?Copy !req
513. - Yeah, she did.Copy !req
514. And if I hadn't stopped her,
Lucy would've died, too.Copy !req
515. Um...Copy !req
516. I should've paid
more attention to Lucy,Copy !req
517. to both you girls.Copy !req
518. - After your mom left, I blamed
myself for driving her away.Copy !req
519. It was easier
just to focus on work.Copy !req
520. There, I trusted myself.Copy !req
521. At home, I was...Copy !req
522. I felt out of my depth.Copy !req
523. - All we ever wanted you to do
was just be a dad.Copy !req
524. - And I failed at that, I know.Copy !req
525. You got to understand...Copy !req
526. you girls were my world.Copy !req
527. Even today,
you're everything to me,Copy !req
528. and I couldn't bear
to do anythingCopy !req
529. to lose that.Copy !req
530. - It was really hard
not having you around.Copy !req
531. - Pumpkin...Copy !req
532. um...Copy !req
533. I am so sorry.Copy !req
534. I didn't realize how much
I was putting on your shoulders.Copy !req
535. You needed me.Copy !req
536. Both you girls did.Copy !req
537. - We still do.Copy !req
538. - That's why
I'm picking a side.Copy !req
539. Lois, you were right.Copy !req
540. This Ally Allstrong...Copy !req
541. - Allston.Copy !req
542. - Ally Allston is a bad egg.Copy !req
543. Your sister never should've
gotten involved with her...Copy !req
544. Which is exactly what
I told Lucy when I called her.Copy !req
545. - What did she say?Copy !req
546. - Most of it
I'm not gonna repeat.Copy !req
547. But she did agree
to meet with you.Copy !req
548. - Thanks, Dad.Copy !req
549. - You're welcome.Copy !req
550. Don't, um, scare her away.Copy !req
551. Lucy isn't strong like you.Copy !req
552. She needs a delicate touch.Copy !req
553. - Mom, Sophie's wondering
what's for dinner!Copy !req
554. But it looks like
you're already busy.Copy !req
555. - Ah, I didn't want
your dad to see.Copy !req
556. He's been doing so good lately.Copy !req
557. - So your day
totally sucked, too?Copy !req
558. - Something wrong with Jordan?Copy !req
559. - He blew me off, again.Copy !req
560. - I'm sorry, honey.Copy !req
561. Sometimes it just takes
a little whileCopy !req
562. to get back in sync.Copy !req
563. - I think it might be bigger
than that.Copy !req
564. I...Copy !req
565. uh, kissed someone at camp.Copy !req
566. A girl.Copy !req
567. - I see.Copy !req
568. And Jordan found out?
- I told him.Copy !req
569. And I'm glad that I did because
keeping that secretCopy !req
570. was too much, but...Copy !req
571. I mean, I'm not ashamed
or embarrassed.Copy !req
572. It's just, like...Copy !req
573. What if...Copy !req
574. what if he never forgives me?Copy !req
575. - Come here.Copy !req
576. If that happens,Copy !req
577. he doesn't deserve you.Copy !req
578. No, you've always knownCopy !req
579. exactly who you were,Copy !req
580. and you've never been afraidCopy !req
581. to show that person
to the world,Copy !req
582. and it makes me so proud
to be your mother.Copy !req
583. I mean, you have this strength
inside of you.Copy !req
584. I honestly don't know
where you get it from.Copy !req
585. It's certainly not me.Copy !req
586. - Mom, you're
running for mayor.Copy !req
587. - It doesn't feel like me
that's running.Copy !req
588. It's like
I'm playing this part.Copy !req
589. I'm trying to be
this perfect personCopy !req
590. that everyone wants,Copy !req
591. and it feels really fake.Copy !req
592. - I have an idea.
- Oh?Copy !req
593. - Yeah, come on.Copy !req
594. - Hurry up!Copy !req
595. - How are things with the boys?Copy !req
596. - Better.Copy !req
597. - And you?Copy !req
598. - Me?Copy !req
599. Oh, I'm, um...Copy !req
600. I'm feeling like
a complete and utter failure.Copy !req
601. - Welcome to the world
of parenting.Copy !req
602. - It's just a little terrifying
to think that everything we doCopy !req
603. can have some lasting impact,Copy !req
604. like I'm gonna find a way
to mess them up forever,Copy !req
605. especially right now.Copy !req
606. I'm just not feeling
like myself.Copy !req
607. - Kids are pretty resilient.Copy !req
608. I mean, my mom abandoned us,
and my dad was never around,Copy !req
609. and I turned out okay.Copy !req
610. - I mean, "okay" might be—
- Tread carefully.Copy !req
611. - A bit of an understatement
'cause you're perfect.Copy !req
612. - Okay, there it is.Copy !req
613. - That's what I was gonna say
the whole time.Copy !req
614. - Yeah.
- Yeah.Copy !req
615. - Clark?
- Get back! Get back!Copy !req
616. It's breaking out.Copy !req
617. - I'll call John Henry.
- He won't be able to stop it.Copy !req
618. - Irons, do you copy?
Irons!Copy !req
619. I can't get him to wake up!
- Wake up?Copy !req
620. - Biorhythms indicate
he's unconscious.Copy !req
621. - John, it's Lois!
We need you to wake up!Copy !req
622. It's happening.
Wake up, John!Copy !req
623. - Lois—
- John, it broke out.Copy !req
624. - Send my suit!Copy !req
625. - But, John, you only have
a few remaining solar charges.Copy !req
626. - Just send it!Copy !req
627. Where is it?Copy !req
628. - Be there in five,Copy !req
629. four, three,Copy !req
630. two, one.Copy !req
631. - So that thing in the mines,
that was you?Copy !req
632. - It wasn't
an exact doppelganger,Copy !req
633. but, yes, it was definitely
some version of me.Copy !req
634. - Any chance this could be the
evil Superman from your world?Copy !req
635. Somehow got here the same way
you and your daughter did?Copy !req
636. - No, that wasn't, uh—that
wasn't the Kal-El from my earth.Copy !req
637. Red solar flares
actually affected him.Copy !req
638. Plus, Nat didn't get here
the same way I did.Copy !req
639. - You won't like this, Clark,
but I got to call Anderson.Copy !req
640. - Sam, no.Copy !req
641. - There's a bizarre version
of Superman on the loose.Copy !req
642. - And if he sends
in those kids,Copy !req
643. this thing will destroy them.
- They're not kids, Clark.Copy !req
644. And even Superman needs
to admit when he needs help.Copy !req
645. - He's right.Copy !req
646. You shouldn't try
to stop this guy on your own.Copy !req
647. - He won't have to.Copy !req
648. - You think the two of you
will be enough?Copy !req
649. - We'll find out.Copy !req
650. - Hey.Copy !req
651. - You sure Sarah's lookingCopy !req
652. for another grand
gesture right now?Copy !req
653. - No, I think she's gonna
like this one.Copy !req
654. I hope.
- Well, good luck.Copy !req
655. - What's going on?Copy !req
656. - Coach Gaines just sent out
the starting lineup,Copy !req
657. and Timmy's
our quarterback, so...Copy !req
658. I just—I don't-
I don't want to rideCopy !req
659. the pines again all season,
you know?Copy !req
660. - Look, um, I can give this
to Sarah later.Copy !req
661. - What? No, no, no way.
- Yeah. It's not as important.Copy !req
662. - Okay, but, yeah, it is.Copy !req
663. And, Jordan, uh, look, I...Copy !req
664. I appreciate it,
but just go see her.Copy !req
665. - All right, man.Copy !req
666. - I didn't have time
to tell you.Copy !req
667. - How often is this
gonna happen, Dad?Copy !req
668. - I don't know.Copy !req
669. - You said that coming
to this townCopy !req
670. was the way back to normal.
- I know.Copy !req
671. But I'm not sure if normalCopy !req
672. is ever gonna be part
of our lives again.Copy !req
673. - You're not Superman.
Your suit can break.Copy !req
674. You can get hurt.
- I know.Copy !req
675. - Then why are you doing this?Copy !req
676. - Because they need my help.Copy !req
677. - I don't want you
out there again...Copy !req
678. not until we do something
about this suit.Copy !req
679. Thrusters are completely shot.
CPU needs to be rewired.Copy !req
680. Ballistic shield's damaged.
We got to fix this thing.Copy !req
681. - You know, I never wanted you
to have to do this for me again.Copy !req
682. - Me either...Copy !req
683. especially not in a barn.
- Yeah.Copy !req
684. Maybe we could fix that, too.Copy !req
685. - Okay. Okay.
- Please—please go. Please go.Copy !req
686. - Are you sure I look okay?Copy !req
687. 'Cause I know I wear this
all the time,Copy !req
688. but I kind of feel
like I'm in a biker gang.Copy !req
689. - You look perfect.Copy !req
690. Will you please quit stalling?
You're gonna be late.Copy !req
691. - What am I even gonna say
to her, babe?Copy !req
692. I haven't seen her in years.Copy !req
693. - Just be honest. Tell her
that you've missed her.Copy !req
694. She's still your sister, Lois,
no matter what.Copy !req
695. - What if she's the one who's
about to go on the podcast?Copy !req
696. - You don't know that yet.Copy !req
697. Look, I understand feeling
betrayed by family,Copy !req
698. but Lucy is not Tal-Rho.Copy !req
699. It's okay to have
a little hope.Copy !req
700. - Okay.
- Yeah.Copy !req
701. - Okay.
- Go.Copy !req
702. You got it.Copy !req
703. - Here we go.Copy !req
704. We're in the car.Copy !req
705. - We're live?Copy !req
706. Hello, everyone.Copy !req
707. Most of you know me, but
for those of you that are new,Copy !req
708. I'm Lana,
and this is my kitchen.Copy !req
709. Like a lot of us here,
I grew up in Smallville.Copy !req
710. Whether or not I wanted it to,
Smallville has changed.Copy !req
711. Things are different now.Copy !req
712. So why not do this mayoral
election differently, too?Copy !req
713. As you can clearly see,
I am not a career politician.Copy !req
714. I'm a working mom,Copy !req
715. and if Smallville elects me
to be the next mayor,Copy !req
716. I want it to be because
you all know me and trust me.Copy !req
717. I figure there's no better way
to get to know each otherCopy !req
718. than to chat over dinner.Copy !req
719. So go ahead, ask me anything.
Ask me about Smallville.Copy !req
720. Ask me about my Aunt Ginny's
marinara sauceCopy !req
721. that my daughter's
obsessed with.Copy !req
722. Uh, just, uh, write in
a comment,Copy !req
723. and I'll answer you
on the spot.Copy !req
724. - Oh, wow. Look.Copy !req
725. - My God, people
are actually writing in.Copy !req
726. - Yeah.
- Wait.Copy !req
727. Sweets, I can't see anything.Copy !req
728. - Glasses.
- Where are my glasses?Copy !req
729. - Glasses.Copy !req
730. - Oh, perfect.
Thank you, love.Copy !req
731. Okay, let's see.Copy !req
732. How do I plan
on revitalizing Main Street?Copy !req
733. - Sarah?Copy !req
734. - Hang on, Mom.
I'll be right back.Copy !req
735. - Hey.Copy !req
736. - Hi.Copy !req
737. - Your dad said
I could come in.Copy !req
738. - Yeah. Did he tell you not
to run away scared this time?Copy !req
739. - Yeah, he did.Copy !req
740. Um, it was kind of intense.Copy !req
741. - So is this gonna be
a good talkCopy !req
742. or a bad talk?Copy !req
743. - I think you should
open this first.Copy !req
744. - Wow.Copy !req
745. It's beautiful.Copy !req
746. - It belonged
to my grandmother.Copy !req
747. My grandfather gave it to herCopy !req
748. back when they were
in high school,Copy !req
749. when he knew
he wanted to be with her.Copy !req
750. - And you're giving it to me?
- Yes.Copy !req
751. Because I love you, Sarah.Copy !req
752. I-I love that you're bold
a-and that you're caringCopy !req
753. and you're kind
and you're honest.Copy !req
754. And one kiss
couldn't change that.Copy !req
755. And I am really sorryCopy !req
756. if I made you feel like it did.Copy !req
757. - So you want to stay together?Copy !req
758. - Yes.Copy !req
759. For a really long time.Copy !req
760. - Jon?Copy !req
761. - So I had a little chat
with Timmy todayCopy !req
762. about where he gets
his drugs from.Copy !req
763. - Look, I can explain.
- Explain what?Copy !req
764. How you lied to me?Copy !req
765. I mean, come on,Copy !req
766. you know that football is
the most important thing to me,Copy !req
767. and you went behind my back
to sell drugs to Timmy?Copy !req
768. - If you're here to dump me,
just do it, okay?Copy !req
769. But for the record,
this is why I didn't tell youCopy !req
770. in the first place, okay?Copy !req
771. I knew you wouldn't understand.
Look where we are, Jon.Copy !req
772. Do you think
I'm doing this for fun?Copy !req
773. I'm trying to help
my dad pay our billsCopy !req
774. so we don't end up
on the street.Copy !req
775. - Candice, I'm not here
to break up with you,Copy !req
776. and I'm not here to convince
you to stop selling.Copy !req
777. - You're not?Copy !req
778. - No, I just—Copy !req
779. I need you to sell some to me.Copy !req
780. - Would you like anything else?Copy !req
781. - No, thanks.
I'm just waiting for someone.Copy !req
782. - Hello, Lois.Copy !req
783. Lucy isn't coming.Copy !req
