154. Uh, that's too bad 'cause I know something about a certain group

155. that you might wanna hear.

156. But I ain't talkin'.

157. What could you possibly know

158. about the Backstreet Boys that we don't know?

159. Two words, Lo-cation.

185. Richie!

186. That's an unconfirmed rumor, that's all.

187. They posted the address of the recording studio!

189. Daisy and Frieda, they forced me to talk!

190. It was a double chili cheeseburger

191. with grilled onions!

192. I'm gonna get Virgil. I am so gonna get him!

206. - Oh, my God! - AJ!

207. - Run, I'll hold 'em back. - If you say so.

208. - Oh, my God! - AJ!

209. Aah!

210. Wait, we're reporters.

211. He's so cute!

212. I know!

213. Huh?

214. Okay, I'm dead.

215. Thanks for gettin' 'me out of there, man.

216. Guess you got a lot of fans too.

217. Oh, yeah, can't keep 'em off me.

218. So, you guys on tour or somethin'?

219. No, I'm here meeting with this songwriter, Adam Evans.

220. - You ever met him? - Uh-huh.

221. When he's not writin' tunes he's my, uh, sidekick.

222. Rubber-band Man.

223. That explains the purple underpants.

224. Anyway, I think that Adam's beats are on the one

225. and he's great to work with.

226. Well, I might disagree about the "Work with" part

227. but I gotta admit, I like Adam's music.

228. Anyway, I better jet.

229. Uh, would you mind? It's for a friend.

230. What's her name?

231. Uh, just make it out to V.

232. - Thanks. - Anytime.

233. See ya.

234. What's up, AJ? Meet AJ.

235. I can't believe we've lost Adam Evans

236. and AJ McLean.

237. I didn't lose them, they ran away.

238. Ran where?

239. How about right here, Lester, babe?

240. AJ, where have you been?

241. In my hotel room, chillin'.

242. But I called and called.

243. Then you must have called the wrong number, sweetie.

244. See, I've been thinking over this Adam Evans deal, Lester.

245. And you and me gotta talk.

246. Ah, grub!

247. Adam!

248. Man, I'm sorry for runnin' my big fat mouth about AJ.

249. Especially, to the one person

250. with a bigger, fatter mouth than me.

251. Zip it, Virgil.

252. Hey, I'm just trying to apologize.

253. He doesn't want to hear it right now.

254. - What happened? - The deals off.

255. AJ doesn't like my stuff after all.

256. What?

257. That's what the record company said.

258. I thought he was feelin' me

259. but I was gettin played like a sucker

260. this whole time.

261. I can't believe it!

262. Your music's tight, Adam. There's gotta be some mistake.

263. Nah, this came straight from the horse's mouth.

264. Urgh!

265. Adam!

266. So, what do you think there, Les, my man?

267. Slammin' right?

268. Uh, it's not quite what I thought it was gonna be.

269. I hear ya, LB.

270. It gets better and better every time I hear it too.

271. That's not what I mean. Do you really like this?

272. Because it's not what I was expecting to get from you.

273. Are you dissin' this demo?

274. Look, AJ, I've been in this business a long time.

275. This ear has made me big money.

276. Frankly, this track isn't in the same league as Adam's.

277. You're forgettin' who I am, man!

278. I want this Marvin guy signed.

279. That's what's gonna make me happy.

280. And if I'm not happy, I'm outta here.

281. Like that.

282. Hey, whatever you want, AJ.

283. He's as good as signed.

284. Pleasure doin' business with you, LB.

285. Lookin' good, baby.

286. I don't care what you say, Virgil.

287. AJ's not like that.

288. I know you and Daisy have mad love for the guy

289. but he is just fickle and two-faced.

290. Just because we all like Adam's sound doesn't mean AJ has to.

291. She's got a point, V.

292. Way to be on my side, bro.

293. Shh, he's on the news.

294. 'Turn it up.'

295. Yeah, I was working with this Evans dude

296. but it just wasn't happening, you know.

297. Okay, maybe he had some flow, but it was like generic.

298. Me? I'm all about the real, know what I'm sayin'?

299. Yeah, right.

300. - That's weird. - What?

301. 'His tattoo.'

302. 'I thought the Chinese symbols were on the other arm.'

303. 'Yeah, they are.'

304. Adam, yo, it's Static, man.

305. knock knock

306. Adam?

307. What! Cha? Yeah, hello.

308. 'Rich? V. I couldn't sleep.'

309. Oh, thank you for sharing that important information.

310. Goodnight.

311. Rich, stay focused, will you?

312. This AJ thing is really buggin' me.

313. I think that was Replikon we saw on TV, not AJ.

314. - You serious? - 'I checked.'

315. 'Like Frieda said, his tattoo was on the wrong arm.'

316. I figure Replikon was facing AJ when he disguised himself

317. so everything got flip-flopped.

318. Yeah, sure, like in a mirror!

319. Then where's the real AJ?

320. I checked the recording studio. AJ wasn't there.

321. 'Went by his hotel. Same thing.'

322. Now, I'm at Adam's place and he's gone too.

323. Ah, poor Adam's probably still down

324. about his deal goin' bad.

325. There he was, so close to seeing his face

326. in every record store across the country.

327. Record store. That's it!

328. Rich, I need an address for a store called Stone Gas Records.

329. On it.

330. Man, I only hope Replikon hasn't gone wacko on AJ.

331. You and me both, bro.

332. Yo, Backstreet bum, good news.

333. Lester Biggs is gonna sign Marvin Roper

334. me, to an overall deal.

335. Mansions, super-stretch limos.

336. I'm movin' way up on you!

337. Yeah, to a penthouse prison cell.

338. Peep at the funny pop star.

339. After I'm done with you' you wont be laughin' trust me.

340. Is that right?

341. See, I was just keeping you around

342. so I can make sure my imitation of you looked real.

343. But now that I got my contract..

344. All you're good for is lunch meat.

345. Aah!

346. crash

347. Show's over, pop star.

348. Keep your paws to yourself, fur-fur.

349. How'd you find us?

350. Adam mentioned that he worked in this record store

351. with Replikon a long time ago.

352. 'Now, to get you out of here.'

353. Electricity doesn't work on wood, Static.

354. Huh!

355. You're running out of room, hero.

356. That tickles.

357. Now, let's see how this feels.

358. Thanks. That must have been some wicked reverb you fed him.

359. Nope, just his own bad music.

360. I've waited a long time, but this deal proves

361. that if you stick to your dreams, they'll come true.

362. Our friend is gonna be a star! Ha-ha!

363. Think of the possibilities, V.

364. Backstage passes, hobnobbing with celebs

365. craft service munchies..

366. Richie, he's in a tough business.

367. You know, one day you're a hit

368. 'and the next you're in the close-out bin.'

369. - Hey, guys. - Hey, guys.

370. Who's that on your shirt?

371. Adam of course.

372. He is so cool!

373. Then again, there's nothing wrong

374. with being a one-hit wonder.

375. Friends of yours?

376. Nope, never seen 'em.
