7. Live from the Dakota Hills Mall. It's the Meta-Breed show.

8. Your valuables. Now!

9. That's right, folks. It's for a good cause.

10. So, give till it hurts, and then give some more.

11. Ah, today, lady.

12. Now, a women can't go shopping

13. without bumping into hoodlums every which way.

14. The Metabugs!

15. No wonder everyone's running outta the mall.

16. Hey, guys! Behind you.

17. - Here it is. - Ah!

18. - Hah! Missed me. - Oh. Did I?

19. Got you where I want, you hero.

20. After all this time, you think I'd be tired

21. to clean enough of you guys. No way!

22. I call that my noble ball, Ebon. It takes a lot outta me.

23. But, more outta you.

24. I'll get you for this evil. I swear.

25. This isn't fun anymore.

26. Your fly plan's cancelled, feather girl.

27. You tell her, boy.

28. 'The rest of the Meta-Breed escaped. But tonight'

29. 'Talon remains under heavy guard. Static had this to say:'

30. I just put a shock to their system, Anna.

31. All in a day's work, if your job is being

32. Dakota's funky, fresh hero that is.

33. What an ego on that guy!

34. Hey, Static can't help it if he's fatter than fat.

35. You gonna watch videos with us, Pops?

36. Yeah, Mr. H. You gotta choice of two.

37. "Shriek 3" or "Homie Alone?"

38. Uh... pass.

39. - Mmm. - Uh... no. Uh-uh, uh-huh.

40. - Don't you ever go home? - Uh. Smellin' insinuation.

41. You smell stale pizza. You're here so much

42. you should be paying us rent.

43. Back off, Barky.

44. My man Rich is welcome here any day of the week.

45. You mean everyday, don't you?

46. - I love you too. Huh, sisters! - What?

47. Don't forget to take the pizza box to the trash, son.

48. On it, Pops.

49. All I'm saying is, "Shock to the System" is gonna get played out

50. unless we keep adding to our catchphrase list.

51. How about this? HVH, High Voltage Hero.

52. - Virgil? Yo, Earth to Virgil? - My sister is right.

53. - I hate that. - Right about what?

54. We never hang at your crib. We always hang here.

55. Well, what about the time that... uh... well..

56. Or remember the time when we... uh..

57. When we what, Richie? Face it, bro.

58. You've never invited me over. I've never even met your Pops.

59. Well! It's just more fun over here. That's all.

60. Why you sweating me over this, V?

61. I'm not. A brother just needs a little change of space.

62. - You know what I'm saying? - I guess I do.

63. I'll have you over. Soon.

64. - How soon? - Uh... this Friday night.

65. - You sure? - Yeah. Yeah, that'll work.

66. Friday it is then. Better tell your mom

67. to stock up on some essentials. Soda, chips, cookies

68. you know, the basic food groups.

69. That electrified punk's put Talon on lockdown.

70. Yeah, Static's always causing static.

71. Not funny. Not funny.

72. Static keeps busting my game, bringing me down.

73. Now he's put Talon away. He's gonna pay big time for that.

74. Play time's over.

75. Geez, shadow with an attitude.

76. Wow! All these stuff is off the hook, Rich.

77. - But of course. - Man!

78. And you said, hanging at your crib would be a snore fest.

79. So, it's only three for dinner. Huh?

80. Oh, what can I say. My dad's working.

81. Boys, dinner in ten minutes.

82. - Smells good, Mrs. F. - Thank you, Virgil.

83. There's your father. I better go talk to him.

84. I thought he was on the night shift.

85. It got changed.

86. Cool. I get to meet your Pops after all.

87. Uh. Hold up, V.

88. On top of all that traffic was a bear.

89. This city, Maggie. This city.

90. Hey, Mr. Foley. Good to finally meet you.

91. Hey, Dad. This is my friend, Virgil.

92. Remember? I told you about him.

93. Not nearly enough.

94. He's... he's not like this normally.

95. Hey, I've had days like that myself.

96. I'm gonna get ready for dinner, Rich.

97. Richie, I brought over the latest MC Rapwell CD.

98. It is slamming.

99. Yeah, we'll crack it after dinner.

100. There will be no rap played in this house.

101. Sean, please.

102. Maggie, that music teaches kids to disrespect their parents.

103. Some rap is positive, Mr. Foley.

104. It's all garbage. It tells kids to write on walls.

105. Stay out past curfews and heaven knows what else.

106. It tears down everything guys like me built.

107. Look around you. Dakota's gone to pot.

108. Well, not in my house.

109. - But, Dad, that's not fair. - That's the last word, Richie.

110. My dad... Sometimes, you know... I'm so embarrassed.

111. Will you stop? My pops hates hip-hop too.

112. It's not a black-white thing. It's an old thing.

113. As far as I'm concerned, this whole thing is squashed.

114. Time to get minty fresh.

115. - Down the hall, right? - Yeah.

116. 'And now I see why Richie acts like a hood, Maggie.'

117. 'That kid's a bad influence. All his kind are.'

118. 'Keep your voice down.'

119. 'It's fair enough I got a deal with them all day long.'

120. 'Now, one of them's in my house.'

121. It's still early. I can go home without

122. calling my Pops for a ride.

123. Virgil, don't leave. Please. We can talk to my Mom.

124. What good is that gonna do, Rich?

125. She can't change what he said. You were right all along.

126. Hanging here was a bad idea. Sorry.

127. What's going on down there?

128. Well, you got what you wanted, Dad.

129. My best friend is gone because of you and your stupid racism.

130. I hate you!

131. Hey!

132. - You feeling better, son? - A little.

133. Thanks for kicking in with me last night, Pops.

134. I still don't get how a guy like Richie has a father like that.

135. And that's a question that even Richie's father can't answer.

136. That kind of hate feeds on itself.

137. But Richie's made up his own mind about who to like.

138. He's broken his father's cycle of intolerance.

139. Man, I had no clue Richie was

140. dealing with something this whacked.

141. He's gonna need your friendship now, more than ever.

142. I gotta get to the Center. You sure, you're okay?

143. Yeah, Pops. I'm cool.

144. I'd be even cooler with a new stereo though.

145. But then I wouldn't be cool. Stick with your old stereo.

146. Hey, I had to give it a shot.

147. - Hello? - 'Hello, Virgil?'

148. - Mrs. Foley? - Is Richie there?

149. 'Richie? No. He's not.'

150. He didn't spend the night there?

151. No. He didn't, Mrs. F. I can call around

152. 'and see if I can find him.'

153. I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

154. Um, Virgil, about last night. I'm..

155. I know. Me too.

156. What you got in the backpack, punk? Smells like peanut butter.

157. Crunchy.

158. Uh, only have enough for one. Sorry.

159. Buddy, you don't know how sorry you're gonna be.

160. - Ah! - Ugh!

161. Chill, Chompus.

162. I'm gonna bowl him over.

163. 'My son is not a liar, Mr. Foley.'

164. If Virgil says he doesn't know

165. where Richie is, he doesn't know.

166. And you trust him knowing how thick they are.

167. Maybe you don't trust your son enough.

168. Don't think you can lecture me about how I am with my son.

169. Look. You want to argue or do you want to find Richie?

170. Where else does Richie hangout?

171. Did you check with his other friends?

172. I... don't know any of his friends.

173. Richie always goes on and on about Virgil and his cool dad.

174. But he never even told me you were..

175. African-American?

176. Would that have made a difference to you, Foley?

177. 'Well, should it have?'

178. This is a waste of my time.

179. Wait. I've got a few ideas about where he might go.

180. I don't want your help, Hawkins.

181. You need my help. Like it or not.

182. You comin'?

183. Static to Richie. Richie, come in.

184. I know you're out there somewhere.

185. Richie, come in, man. Richie?

186. 'Do you read me, Richie?'

187. - 'Richie.' - Richie here. What's up?

188. What's up? Did your brain freeze?

189. Man, I've been looking all over for you.

190. 'You better tell me where you are. Now!'

191. I can take care of myself.

192. Come on, bro. You got me worried.

193. 'We gotta talk this out some time. Might as well be now.'

194. I'm in first road, across the street from the old bakery.

195. 'Don't move.'

196. Why should I go back? He hates me.

197. He disses everything I like.

198. And, what he said about you. Well, that was the last straw.

199. Man, you should be madder than me.

200. Yeah. It hurt. But he's your dad.

201. You need to work this out with him.

202. Not after what happened this time.

203. He made me lose my best friend over this mess.

204. Come on. How could I blame you for what your father said?

205. You and me, we've been through too much

206. together to let this get in the way.

207. We're always going to be aces, no matter what.

208. - For real? - Realer than real.

209. Now, how fast we can break outta here? Now what?

210. Go ahead, Static. Do your thing. I'll take the bus.

211. Go straight home. I'll check you later.

212. - Peace. - And out.

213. 'So Static's your main man, huh?'

214. What better way to catch Static than Jack and his running buddy?

215. Uh. No, no, no..

216. - Never seen him around here. - Thanks anyway.

217. You know, if you ever feel like talking

218. you can come to the Center anytime. Alright?

219. No luck.

220. Look at them. Living like pigs.

221. Little punk.

222. I talk to kids like this everyday, Foley.

223. Most of them are good kids.

224. 'But sometimes when they don't see eye to eye with their'

225. 'parents, they feel like they'd rather be anywhere but home.'

226. Even a place like this.

227. You mean like Richie and me. huh?

228. Let's go. Got more ground to cover.

229. Hey, old dudes. There's a new squad you could check out.

230. - Building way on the North end. - Thanks.

231. Yeah. You might not be thanking me when you get there.

232. Ooh. Cheese doodles.

233. I'm holding all the cards now. If Static wants his partner back

234. he's got to return Talon to me.

235. But she's on police lockdown, Boss.

236. So? That's Static's problem. And yours.

237. - How do I reach Static? - How should I know?

238. Don't hand me that. I heard you two. You're best friends.

239. Static's everyone's best friend. Except may be yours.

240. He's the last one, guys.

241. Maybe we should put you on payroll, Static.

242. Give me one of those shiny helmets, and we'll call it even.

243. 'You heard me, Ebon, if you're so big and bad'

244. 'why do you live in a musty old Ferris Road Projects, huh?'

245. Ferris Road. Northside.

246. Place was condemned when it was new.

247. Shut your trap.

248. I don't believe this. You put a roof over their heads

249. you feed 'em three squares a day and this is the thanks—

250. Richie wasn't the only boy who ran away from you last night.

251. What your son heard, Hawkins, I wasn't talking about him.

252. No. You were talking about his kind. That's all.

253. I know your kind, Foley. I've seen your kind all my life.

254. Fine upstanding bigot.

255. His nose so close to the grindstone

256. he can't see anything else. Meanwhile, the world changes

257. and grows and he's blind to it.

258. Ignorant and proud of that too.

259. - And you know the worst part? - I'm sure you'll tell me.

260. You've got a terrific son.

261. One of the best and brightest around.

262. And because of the way you are, you'll never really know him.

263. Richie ran away from you a long time ago, Foley.

264. And who can blame him?

265. Yeah. The Ferris Road Projects. Dude, seriously?

266. You need to fire your realtor.

267. - What are you doing, punk? - What do you mean?

268. Hey!

269. - What's this? - Ah!

270. - 'Ah!' - It's Richie.

271. Your plan didn't work, smart guy.

272. Dad! Mr. H?

273. Hey. Just where do you think you're going?

274. That's my son.

275. We've got business with him, old man.

276. If you hurt him..

277. Save your threats. I'm in control here.

278. Yeah. We're, like, so in control that it's not even funny.

279. We're not leaving here without Richie.

280. Then, you're not leaving.

281. Hey! Not fair.

282. - Dad! - Drop the pipe, Pop.

283. Should we call the turkey or are you gonna tell me about Static..

284. Did someone say my name?

285. Gotta make some extra special for you.

286. - Static! Look out. - Ah!

287. Stomping you like the roach you are.

288. Dad!

289. 'Looking for me?'

290. You're a shadow of your former self, Ebon.

291. - Ahh.. - Are you okay, Dad?

292. Scratch here, bruise here. Nothing your Dad can't handle.

293. Son, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

294. Sort of gets you. Right here.

295. Do your folks know, where you are, young man?

296. Is that another siren? Duty call, sir. See ya.

297. "Son, get down to the Center right away.

298. It's really important." Yeah, right.

299. - Yo, V. Ready to go? - Yes, I'm sprung.

300. Dakota Comic Con opens in 15 minutes, bro.

301. Thanks for taking the day off for taking us, Mr. F.

302. No problem. Tell you the truth

303. I've... always been curious about those events.

304. Just wait till you see all the people in costumes and make-up.

305. Even the guys.

306. Yo, yo. Let's keep that a surprise, V.

307. I wanna see his expression.

308. I put a shock to your system.

309. Static Shock!
