Stardate: 46235.7. A transporter accident transforms Picard, Ro Laren, Guinan and Keiko O'Brien into small children who appear to be about 12 years old. Matters are complicated when the Ferengi seize the Enterprise.

191. RVN is one of the key factors in our development during puberty.

192. Unlike DNA, which never changes,

193. RVN takes on additional sequences during adolescence.

194. Those sequences determine how we develop physically.

195. - Without them we wouldn't mature? - Exactly.

196. Somehow, they were eliminated in the shuttle crew during transport.

197. So what do we do?

198. Well, we have a couple of options.

199. These are the plants Keiko was carrying.

200. Whatever turned the crew into children turned these into seedlings.

201. I accelerated the growth on one of them,

202. and it developed into a perfectly normal adult plant.

204. But at least we know that if we do nothing,

205. they will probably grow up just as they did before.

207. However, I do have the adult RVN patterns of all four of them.

209. and replace the missing sequences.
