Trixie wins the position of Speed's assistant in the No Limit World Race. Before the race begins Inspector Detector and his officials search each entry looking for $50 million in stolen gold bars. The Mammoth Car enters the track. Cruncher Block gives the Inspector a tour, yielding no trace of the gold. The race begins. The Mammoth Car forces everyone off the road. Speed is suspicious. To discover the Mammoth Car's secret, he equips the homing robot with X-ray film able to penetrate metal. Unfortunately, it's shot down and returns broken. The Mammoth Car catches up to Speed and forces the Mach 5 off the road. A ramp is lowered and a squad of motorcyclists descends onto the track. Racer X appears and spritzes oil on the road, causing the cyclists to crash. Meanwhile, at the airport, Spritle and Chim Chim stow away aboard Cruncher Block's plane. Back on the track, the Mach 5 and the Mammoth Car collide and both veer off the road toward a forest.

93. Altogether, the Mammoth Car is driven by 30,000 horsepower.

96. The brakes are magnetic

97. and a single push of a button will stop the car.

98. We have an army of mechanics

99. to fix anything that might go wrong.

104. The car is equipped with everything anybody can imagine.

153. Trixie, I'll bet there's some kind of mysterious secret

154. to the whole thing.

155. A secret? I wonder what it could be.

157. I'll adjust it for x-rays and put it on the reflex timer.

158. It should tell us the secret.

160. what the Mammoth Car's carrying.

161. The camera's all ready for flight.

163. The robot carrier speeds ahead

164. with the x-ray camera which will shoot through metal,

165. and may be able to reveal the secret cargo of the Mammoth Car.

171. The Mammoth Car sends a radio signal.

172. The signal travels halfway around the world

173. to reach the luxurious secret headquarters

174. of the owner of the Mammoth Car, the notorious Cruncher Block.

175. Speed Racer sent a flying robot camera

177. I see... Better get rid of him.

180. because it's the only way you'll be able to carry

182. I don't see any other cars, Speed.

183. Now the race is between the Mammoth Car and us.

184. And I'm beginning to suspect

185. that they may be carrying the gold.

189. in disguise as Racer X.

196. So we've got to catch a plane to where they are

197. and try to help Speed and Trixie.

222. Look! The Mammoth Car's beginning to slow down!

223. It's too big and heavy for this mountain road.

224. Maybe now we'll get a chance to catch up to it!

225. They're after us!

226. I think we'll be safe now.

227. The path we made will be too narrow for them to follow us on.

228. Here comes the Mammoth Car again!

229. I've gotta find some way to stop it!

230. I'm gonna try to rip those tires off.

234. The amazing Mach 5 is a car that can do many things.
