At the base of a tall building, Speed and company watch Twinkle Banks, star of the Universal Circus, dive off the top. Then, at the circus, they watch Twinkle drive a racecar and perform daredevil stunts. She worries about maintaining the car's momentum and faints. Speed rescues Twinkle. While the girl daredevil rests in bed, a clown (her father) tells Speed that because of a money shortage, he's having difficulty keeping the track in good repair. Speed makes a donation. Later, Speed and Trixie learn on the radio that Twinkle will drive a car, balanced on two ropes, over Niagara Falls. Because of the strong winds Speed and Trixie try to stop Twinkle. Meanwhile, Cornpone Brush, who financed the stunt, tells the clown that Twinkle will perform regardless of the hazardous weather. When Speed and Trixie arrive, Twinkle is already making her way across the Falls. Away from the crowd, Brush reads an old map. It identifies a secret cave in back of the Falls that leads to treasure.

70. abandon that lovely circus to the bill collectors.

122. After all, that car she'll be driving is four-wheeled,

123. so it should be pretty safe.

124. I remember when four men went across the falls

125. on only a one-wheeled bicycle.

126. Four wheels are much more dangerous

128. to support the four wheels.

129. If the rope starts swinging when the car's halfway across,

130. the wheels will slip from under one of the ropes,

131. and there'll be no way to hang on to the other

132. and Twinkle will fall to the bottom.

133. Twinkle, I just hope those ropes

134. don't start to swing.

135. If they do, I'll do my best to keep control.

136. It's about 3,000 feet from here to the other side, and the

137. most dangerous part of the drive will be out in the center.

143. we'll never again have to worry about selling enough tickets.

199. It's the wind. She's gonna have trouble!

209. the ropes and nobody's able to rescue her.

213. Great! I think I have just found the secret entrance

214. to the secret treasure chamber!

215. That's amazing! What a fabulous car!

219. It's even more dangerous backing up. Hang on!

220. Twinkle! Wake up! Wake up!

221. Oh... Where are we?

222. At the bottom of the falls...

223. Oh, no!

224. It must be very deep here—

225. the periscope can't reach the surface.

226. The only way out is gonna be by driving along the bottom.

227. I'll try it.

228. I don't think we're going to make it.

229. We've got to because our oxygen isn't going to last forever.

230. It's starting to get low. There's only about a 15 minute

231. supply left and we've gotta get out before it's gone.

232. Otherwise, they may never even find the car.

233. The needle just dropped lower!

234. That means we have no more than one minute of oxygen left.

235. That's all!

236. Don't... Don't worry, Twinkle...

237. I... I'll get us out... Somehow...
