157. They called back a few hours after

158. the LAPD pinged their plates.

159. They weren't thrilled that they were tracing

163. What are we gonna do?

164. Look, I have ways of handling these situations.

165. Yeah? How?

166. 'Cause you told me the CIA isn't gonna protect us.

167. Based on how agitated the DEA agent was

168. when he called, how insistent they were

169. that the LAPD back off, my guess is

170. they got an undercover inside the Villanueva operation.

171. You're saying that to me

172. like it's supposed to be good news.

173. It just sounds a lot worse.

174. Listen, this is what I'm trained to do.

175. Okay? I said I was going to take care of it

214. He said that?

215. Jesus Christ.

216. All right, give me the number.

217. I can't wait to hear this.

218. Mm-hmm.

219. I'll call you back.

220. - What was that? - I don't know yet.

221. (telephone dials) Hit it.

222. Hello?

223. I was told to call this number.

224. That you had some information for me?

225. Yeah, is this the agent running the Villanueva case?

226. Who's this?

227. I'll offer you some free advice.

228. Pull your UC, walk away right now.

229. Look, hey, I'd love to believe you.

230. Take your word on this, but can we meet?

231. Discuss it in person?

232. This is your only warning.

233. If you ignore it, I'm not responsible

234. for what happens to your man.

235. And have a nice day.

236. Reed.

237. - 'Sup, man. - Thanks for coming.

238. Everything okay?

243. Some repairs and inspections got to be made.

244. It's nothing major.

245. - You seem concerned. - Nah.

246. It's just...

247. I've been thinking about expansion.

248. Yeah.

249. Like what? Like the valley?

250. How much you know about McDonald's?

251. - I'm sorry, what? - You know, the restaurant.

252. Oh, uh...

253. I know enough to not to call it a restaurant.

254. Started by these two brothers.

255. The McDonald boys.

256. Figured out a way to better mass produce the burger.

257. Ready seconds after you ordered.

258. Shit was like magic back then.

259. They came up with the idea,

260. but it was a man called Ray Kroc

261. who came up with the vision.

262. Started franchising McDonald's,

263. turned a better burger into an empire,

264. pushed the brothers out in the process.

265. Stole their name.

266. You want to talk about gangsta?

267. Al Capone ain't got shit on my man Ray.

268. So what—what are you saying?

269. That you want to start opening McDonald's franchises?

270. Nah.

271. I didn't invent this rock.

272. But I'ma blow it up.

273. Detroit. D.C.

274. Chicago. Philly.

275. St. Louis. New York.

276. Huh?

277. Send a team of trusted men to every city.

278. Set up a cook house, create the demand.

279. We'd be talking 50, 100 keys a week.

280. Lotta keys. (laughs)

281. Yeah.

282. Well, you have as much product from me as you need.

283. Promise you that.

284. Seems like you've given this some real thought.

285. I've been thinking about this my whole life.

286. Por favor, no, no, no, no.

287. Is that your professional medical opinion?

288. Doctor?

289. Kevin?

290. No. Pinche Pedro.

291. - (groans) - He's not gonna stop.

292. - You know that. - (groans)

293. - Page Kevin again. - Okay.

294. We don't know if Pedro is a part of this.

295. I'm sorry you never got to use it.

296. Aye, aye, aye.

297. Hello?

298. Now I told you, stop paging me.

299. I just want to make sure you haven't forgotten about us.

300. Yeah, like that's possible.

301. Time's running out.

302. Tomorrow morning, 10:00 a.m.

303. That's when we know where he'll be.

304. You want us to take you to him?

305. We need your answer by then.

306. Are Funyuns to onions what pork rinds are to pork?

307. Not even close.

308. There's got to be some science to this shit.

309. Don't even taste like onions.

310. They. Just. Chips.

311. Nigga, how you know?

312. He one bench press away from Hulking out.

313. Since when do we bite this hard on anonymous phone calls?

314. Since they know we have a UC inside.

315. If it was the Villanuevas I'd be dead already, right?

316. Or they'd be ducking you like they are.

317. Hoping the phone call gets you pulled,

318. and if it doesn't,

319. they don't kill undercovers quickly.

320. You know who I think this is?

321. I think it's the suppliers.

322. The pilot and his partner.

323. I mean, think about it. They make our surveillance.

324. Our plates get pinged.

325. And then we get this phone call.

326. Plates got pinged by LAPD.

327. So maybe that's who we're looking at. Corrupt cops.

328. I mean, this call feels like, a dirty cop move, doesn't it?

329. I don't know.

330. What I do know is it's got me spooked.

331. On top of that, your 48 hours are up.

332. Tony. Come on, we are so close.

333. We got the APB out on them.

334. We're got their offices. It's only a matter of time—

335. I'm sorry, but it's over.

336. We pick up the Villanuevas now.

337. We'll have to just keep chasing the suppliers.

338. You did great.

339. You should be proud.

340. Aw.

341. You look ten years younger.

342. Do I feel it.

343. VA.

344. The benefits came through.

345. So we should have enough if you'll have it.

346. Thank you.

347. Thank you, Alton.

348. Come here.

349. Come on.

350. - What are you doing? - Mm-hmm.

351. Nothing.

352. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

353. (laughs) Okay.

354. Hey, Lee. They here.

355. All right, Wanda. I can see that.

356. What's up, man?

357. - Grandma! - She kinda goofy, huh?

358. Like the rest of these motherfuckers here.

359. Hey, don't be like that, my nigga.

360. Get you something to drink and make yourselves at home.

361. Oh, great advice, Professor Simmons.

362. Hey, sugar.

363. Ooh.

364. - Auntie, this is Franklin— - What's going on, Wanda?

365. Huh?

366. You're really stealing and selling my shit

367. - without telling me? - She ain't steal.

368. Oh, so you knew about this shit?

369. I cooked the shit. I can take what's mine.

370. You fuckin' high right now?

371. So what the fuck if I am?

372. It's my party, Franklin Saint.

373. AKA Mr. Fucking High And Mighty.

374. You can get the fuck out my house.

375. I don't want her anywhere near the business.

376. Hey, Saint. Hey.

377. Hey, man, I told you this was gonna happen.

378. Hey, Saint!

379. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Easy.

380. Hey, when we start yelling at females in public?

381. You got a problem?

382. Yeah, I do, man. I ain't put you up on that shit

383. so you can blow up her spot.

384. Well, maybe I need to enforce some fucking discipline, Kev.

385. 'Cause apparently I'm running a daycare center.

386. (laughs) So that's what you think this is?

387. I know it.

388. What I know is you need to make that shit right

389. with Leon and Wanda.

390. Who gives a fuck about Wanda?

391. What?

392. Get back to your party.

393. Ooh.

394. Children. Children. Children.

395. Hah, they can call us freaks,

396. but they can suffer for it.

397. But let's take a moment right now

398. and give it up for the one who made tonight possible.

399. Yay. (cheering)

400. Look at her.

401. She ain't gone, Louie girl.

402. Yeah!

403. Buy my sister a drink.

404. Okay? And me.

405. Laurent de Laurent.

406. Mmm.

407. We now give it up for Viola Pendarvis.

408. She all the way from New York City.

409. (sighs) Come on up here, girl.

410. Damn, bitch, my feet hurt.

411. - Well, ashy as they is. - (laughs)

412. You know you got them fault lines in earthquake country.

413. Hey, don't you even start with me—

414. Start with you?

415. Honey, you knew I was gonna read you from cover to cover.

416. Act like you know where to find a book.

417. I got the Good Book and my good sense.

418. Last time somebody tried to baptize you, honey,

419. the water blew off.

420. Claudia, I don't know, you over here counting

421. your blessings, but how you manage

422. to get a girl so quick with it?

423. Yeah, baby, how you manage that?

424. I manage you, bitch.

425. Excuse me.

426. Laurent, you knew her back in Watts, right?

427. Mm-hmm.

428. Well, I must have found her after that,

429. when she was trying to get out the sticks.

430. Tricking for peanuts outside of every motel

431. between Western and Figaro.

432. Hey, listen, so what's wrong with that?

433. Something strange for some change.

434. You know, it was her first job.

435. Claudia, you better chill.

436. Well, ain't no shame in it.

437. It's just the way she do it.

438. Fuck any old thing with a wallet.

439. Scraping by.

440. Something charming about a little thing that desperate.

441. Don't know her own worth.

442. Well, that's where I come in.

443. See, I taught her everything she need to know

444. about how to market her talents.

445. And, girl, she a savant, damn near.

446. Why you laying out all my business?

447. Ah, baby, I'm just joking with you.

448. Can't forget what built you.

449. Ooh. Damn.

450. Now you know, you cold as hell.

451. What happened?

452. Look, I waited all day outside the aviation office.

453. DEA surveillance didn't move

454. which means phone call didn't scare 'em off, so...

455. Well, fuck.

456. So what do we do now?

457. First thing tomorrow morning, we're gonna fly back east

458. and I'm gonna try a different tag.

459. Somebody else?

460. Avi called.

461. - What? - Yeah.

462. - Here? - A few hours ago.

463. How the fuck did Avi even get this phone number?

464. I don't know. I didn't think to ask him,

465. Teddy, while he was fucking threatening me.

466. He was threatening you?

467. The money for guns.

468. Says his guys have the arms. We haven't sent the money.

469. Yeah, well, the money, or the—

470. the bulk of the money, anyway,

471. is in the aviation office.

472. Which is now under DEA surveillance.

473. Didn't sound like he was fucking around, Teddy.

474. Yeah.

475. Sure he wasn't.

476. You wanna tell me what all that was?

477. What all that was over there back at the thing and stuff?

478. You could be more specific. Use your words.

479. Shitting on my name in front of Laurent.

480. - Did I lie? - Fuck you.

481. You talk about me tricking in public.

482. Like I still do that shit.

483. Like I'm still that girl walking down Figaro.

484. - And you're not? - No, the fuck I'm not.

485. Okay. Okay.

486. You big and bad as you want to be,

487. but you still that girl

488. when I have to put you in your place.

489. Trying to steal my club.

490. Ahh, this don't even make no damn sense.

491. Don't play me.

492. Claudia, if I wanted your fucking club

493. I woulda been got it by now.

494. So this ain't about that.

495. Oh, yeah.

496. That little deal I cut with Franklin for your piece of ass.

497. That's why we back here now.

498. You see?

499. - You don't change. - That's old shit.

500. Why would I even waste my time?

501. Baby.

502. You don't think that I could just want you?

503. No. (laughs)

504. No, honey.

505. I don't trust no bitch who used to sit on the steps

506. at the Snooty Fox waiting for me to pick her ass up.

507. You just can't let it go, can you?

508. Old lady bitter

509. that I ain't your damn property no more.

510. That I just fucking chose you

511. and now you scared I'ma leave.

512. And that's what this is about.

513. Now hold up. Hold up. You get all, like,

514. mad at me and I'm the only one keeping it real.

515. No, I said I'm off this—

516. What the fuck would you be without me?

517. What the fuck you say to me?

518. I said you a God damn joke.

519. You think I'm that pressed by somebody I still pay for?

520. How you like that?

521. I'm funny now, bitch?

522. Oh, God.

523. Hey. - Hey, it's me.

524. I need you to come to the club.

525. All right, give me an hour.

526. No, right the fuck now.

527. All right. - Okay, hurry up.

528. All right. - Please.

529. We almost gave up on you.

530. Yeah, well, betraying your best friend

531. ain't exactly a quick decision,

532. Franklin will never know it was you.

533. Yeah, but I'll know it was me, won't I?

534. Shit.

535. How I even know you gonna put me on the right vato?

536. Not send me after one of your enemies?

537. I dealt with your little cousin more than once.

538. He sold me the rock.

539. Turned me onto this whole thing.

540. The guy who killed him?

541. He's a fucking lunatic.

542. Only gonna 'cause problems for all of us.

543. He is an enemy of mine.

544. I know how badly you want this.

545. Remember how upset you were at the park?

546. And I'm gonna be honest...

547. I was always surprised Franklin didn't press me

548. to know who did it before shifting

549. the conversation back to business.

550. Nah, he did press you, and you didn't do nothing.

551. You didn't know nothing.

552. You know what? Don't fucking play me, chica.

553. We did know, amigo.

554. Franklin asked us to find out before we met.

555. I knew. I just wouldn't give him up.

556. Bullshit.

557. Ask him yourself if you don't believe us,

558. but I'm telling you the truth.

559. We can take you to him right now.

560. Or you can walk.

561. She finally out.

562. I don't know why she don't just go to the hospital.

563. She probably worried

564. Claudia'd be in the next bed over.

565. Claudia's a bad enemy to have, Unc.

566. Knows everything about us.

567. Has cops on the payroll.

568. Maybe you should be a little less worried about Claudia,

569. a little bit more worried about your Auntie.

570. I am worried about her.

571. One don't have shit to do with the other.

572. Tomorrow I'ma find us a stash house.

573. Get everything criminal up out of here.

574. All right?

575. Mm-hmm.

576. Hey, Louie asking you to handle that shit...

577. that mean she back?

578. Nigga, how the fuck I'm gonna know?

579. Get some rest.

580. Shit.

581. Tell me I'm hallucinating this.

582. You're hallucinating this.

583. Diego.

584. Diego.

585. About fucking time.

586. We were thinking...

587. maybe you'd forgotten about your plane.

588. Hey, guys.

589. What are you doing here?

590. You canceled the pickup.

591. Again. You don't return our calls.

592. We don't have your address.

593. Lucky for us we have your tail numbers.

594. - Going somewhere? - And taking your dog?

595. You running away on us, Reed?

596. Look, guys.

597. It's just a quick trip

598. to get the business back on track.

599. But, you know, if you're here...

600. you ought to find a nice hotel.

601. Just check in, hang out,

602. and we'll be back in a couple days.

603. Or maybe you should tell us what the problem is.

604. Before we have a much bigger fucking problem.

605. Look... uh...

606. We got some heat.

607. Fucking hate cops.

608. - We could help you with that. - Take care of it real quick.

609. Completely unnecessary.

610. We just need a few days. We're straightening it out.

611. Okay?

612. Fine.

613. You can go.

614. You can stay.

615. No.

616. - Yes. - Yes.

617. Hey, guys, I have to fly him.

618. He can fly commercial.

619. - Go first class. - We'll buy you a ticket.

620. No, we won't.

621. There's no chance of that.

622. Once you are ready to resume our pickups,

623. Matt goes free.

624. Until then...

625. He's ours.

626. Wait, whoa. Whoa!

627. Get the fuck off him. Jesus.

628. Hey—

629. Fuck! All right. Hey.

630. Take care of my dog.

631. You better not fucking hurt him.

632. Don't fuck around with us, Reed.

633. Talk to you soon, eh?

634. What's on your mind?

635. I speak. I say my mind,

636. and somehow, someway

637. the exact opposite of what I say

638. turns out to be exactly the way it happens.

639. Yeah, well, being black at the bank will do that to you.

640. It's not funny.

641. Look, we still short?

642. God damn it, Alton, you know we're not.

643. Seems like all I have in my life

644. is a bunch of men who don't listen to a word I say.

645. Cissy, what?

646. Standing in that damn bank looking like a damn fool.

647. Smiling with our little bit of money.

648. Woman comes up to me, tells me one Jason Peters

649. has paid off our mortgage.

650. Not one month. The whole thing.

651. Guess he going about it smart.

652. How is that smart?

653. Franklin ain't right, Alton.

654. The country ain't right, Cissy.

655. You know, and if he's selling to grown folks,

656. then there's worse businesses out there to be a part of.

657. This is not how I wanted to own my own home.

658. This is my house. Mine!

659. Now it ain't even that.

660. Well, we'll make it right.

661. Here.

662. - Here. - What—

663. Comes Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

664. Gets three hours supervised visitation.

665. All right.

666. Let's go cook some rock.

667. You know I love that girl, right?

668. Love ain't my problem.

669. Well, you could say thank you

670. instead of dissing her in front of her whole fucking family.

671. Thank you for stealing and smoking my product.

672. To make you more money.

673. Threw the party just for that

674. even though she's already fucking exhausted.

675. Then take a God damn nap.

676. All right, I'ma fucking handle it.

677. If anybody else in our crew was taking rock, Leon,

678. smoking it...

679. Wouldn't be a fucking conversation.

680. You'd be focused on the business.

681. I hear you, a'ight?

682. But I think you worried about the wrong shit.

683. And I think you ain't worry enough.

684. And that's the problem.

685. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

686. I thought you were just going to arrest them?

687. Sometimes people don't go quietly.

688. Hey. I'm glad you're both here.

689. We've got good news.

690. The white boys finally made the drop in the desert.

691. They're gonna be here in a few hours

692. to make the exchange.

693. That is good news.

694. It gets better.

695. We got the recipe.

696. Gabriella's waiting for us.

697. We show her how to cook the rock,

698. the green light gets taken off.

699. We're gonna be free.

700. Pedro, I'm gonna need you to come with me to Gabriella's.

701. Soledad, you and Gustavo stay here to receive the shipment

702. and give Matt and Reed their cut.

703. Maybe Pedro and I should stay here to take in the shipment.

704. Gabriella doesn't want

705. anyone who isn't family involved in this.

706. Gustavo isn't yet.

707. You said you wanted to be back in this.

708. Help run things.

709. Or did you change your mind again?

710. No, of course I'll come.

711. Yeah.

712. Adios.

713. Take care.

714. You're driving.

715. A qui?

716. It's the address Gabriella gave me.

717. She said there's a kitchen in the back.

718. What if this is a setup?

719. It's either this or we run.

720. And I don't want to run.

721. Do you?

722. - I'll go in alone if you want. - Kay.

723. Put your hands up.

724. Turn around.

725. - Lucia, what the fuck? - Do it.

726. You reach for that gun I swear I'll shoot you.

727. What's going on, prima?

728. We have a problem, Pedro.

729. Your fiancée.

730. She's a cop.

731. LAPD, DEA, I'm not sure which.

732. No, that's not possible.

733. I don't have a doubt in my mind.

734. What I don't know for sure is what side you're on.

735. Listen to me, I...

736. - I had no idea. - How is that possible?

737. What do you mean? She's my fiancée.

738. Why—

739. Why would I—

740. How do you know that?

741. Because I have my fucking eyes open.

742. - I don't understand. - Tell me everything.

743. How you met? Where? Every fucking detail.

744. - I already told you. - Tell me again.

745. Convince me, Pedro.

746. Sell it to me.

747. And maybe you'll live to watch me torture it out of her.

748. You're wrong.

749. She's not LAPD.

750. She's DEA.

751. Out of the Dallas Office.

752. I know because that's where we were introduced.

753. After I walked inside,

754. told them that my name was Pedro Nava Villanueva,

755. that my family were drug smugglers,

756. and I wanted to bring what was left of them down.

757. Jesus, Pedro.

758. Are you surprised?

759. After what you did.

760. What you forced me to do?

761. After you betrayed me, and still I saved your life.

762. - It's incredible. - I did everything for you.

763. I let you back in.

764. It's incredible that after everything,

765. you still see yourself as the righteous one.

766. At least I'm not a fucking rat.

767. You're worse.

768. You're a disease, Lucia.

769. A plague that destroys everything you touch.

770. It's not your fault, though.

771. It's just what you become when you see

772. your sister murdered right in front of you.

773. Struck a nerve there, huh?

774. You're gonna fucking burn for everything you've done.

775. Maybe.

776. But you're going to live.

777. And every day you'll hear my voice.

778. And know that you became the monster

779. your father always feared you'd become.
