13. But over the years, Strykore grew arrogant and greedy,

14. striving to find a shortcut to become all-powerful.

15. His thirst for power led him to find illegal spell books

16. filled with the worst kind of dark magic.

17. They corrupted Strykore and warped his mind,

18. transforming him into pure evil.

19. He became obsessed with only one goal,

20. destroying the Core of Light

21. so that he could finally bathe the Skylands in darkness

22. and rule over us all.

23. And so the Skylands became split during the Great War—

24. between those who chose darkness,

25. like the Shadow Knights, Pirates, and Drows,

26. and those of us fighting for good.

27. In the end, I couldn't bring myself to destroy Strykore.

28. He meant too much to me.

29. But for the greater good,

30. Kaossandra summoned the strength to open a dimensional rift,

31. and we trapped Strykore inside before he could succeed.

32. However, the dark magic it took to keep the rift stable all these years

33. forced Kaossandra to give in to her dark side,

34. sacrificing herself so that we could all remain safe.

35. And that is how things remained, until now.

36. Once again, we find ourselves up against Strykore.

37. Our old foe, our old friend, and always, my twin brother.

38. Now you all know the truth.

39. And together, we will have to do whatever we can

40. to ensure Strykore's defeat once and for all.
