Shameless 10x11

1. Ah, you wanna see what happened last week?

2. No, no, you know what? Fuck—Get outta here.

3. We're not tellin' you shit. Go—go, go, go.

4. Jesus, Mick.

5. Shoulda watched the last time.

6. How'd you get this job?

7. - Someone recommended me. - Ah...

8. Friends in high places, huh?

9. We're the top garbage crew in the city, Carl.

10. Strikes me as a little suspicious.

11. Or I could stay here with you,

12. have fun like we did when we were kids.

13. Jeez—We are totally relat— We're fuckin' cousins!

14. There's literally no way

15. I'm going to the homecoming dance with you.

16. You don't have to go, but if you don't,

17. I'm definitely gonna tell my mom that you went down on me

18. three—no, four times?

19. Shouldn't you be in school?

20. Got more important stuff to do—gotta find Frank.

21. He's like a cat. He'll be back.

22. If I don't find him soon,

23. they're gonna kick me outta school.

24. It's haunted, Frank.

25. How big is this house?

26. Nine bedrooms, including the master.

27. But that's mostly just storage

28. for my father's single-malt scotch collection.

29. This one...

30. looks really old.

31. Mr. Gallagher, welcome to Placid Journeys.

32. I gotta say, this is nothing like

33. the rehab facility I was sent to back in the day.

34. Me, Tami, and Fred are movin' to Milwaukee.

35. The family gave us an old house up there,

36. and I'll still be around, you know,

37. on weekends and, uh, holidays, stuff like that.

38. I love you, Mickey Milkovich.

39. A-and if you let me, I-I'd like to

40. - spend the rest of my life— - Jesus Christ.

41. Save the fuckin' speech, you pussy.

42. I'll marry you.

43. Mickey!

44. Mickey! I know you're in there,

45. you fuckin' homo! Hey, Mick,

46. You faggy faggot!

47. You're never gonna marry that Gallagher queer,

48. you hear me?

49. Mickey!

50. Hey, your dad's here.

51. Hey, you want a Pride parade?

52. - Yeah. - How 'bout I slice off

53. your pansy dicks and stick 'em on a fuckin' float?

54. I got a little conversion therapy for you.

55. You suck a dick, you die.

56. Would you shut the fuck up?

57. You're annoying the shit outta everybody.

58. Well, if it isn't the little shirt lifter.

59. Just want you to know— you marry a man,

60. I'ma put a fuckin' bullet in your head.

61. - Simple as that. - Why wait, bitch?

62. I'm standin' right here, Charlottesville.

63. Oh, look at that—we must shop at the same gun show.

64. The fuck happened to you?

65. You know what they say—

66. the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

67. It does if it lands on a dick!

68. Aw, please, stop. I get it, all right?

69. You're proud a me.

70. You must really love cock.

71. I definitely love one.

72. Don't say I didn't warn ya, cocksmoker.

73. Good talk, Pops.

74. So when you movin' to Milwaukee?

75. I don't know.

76. You don't sound very excited about it.

77. Yeah, well... it is Milwaukee.

78. Free house, though, right?

79. Yeah, I mean, it's a nice house.

80. Nice neighborhood.

81. Yard.

82. Well, damn. Jackpot.

83. Saw an actual birdhouse with birds in it.

84. Uh, not drugs.

85. - Birds. - [door opens, closes]

86. Morning.

87. So, how's your dad?

88. You know, don't think he's gonna be my best man.

89. Hey, what's up, punk? Ready for school?

90. Can't go to school until Frank signs a form.

91. - What form? - That says I live here.

92. Just drop out.

93. I can't drop out. I'm ten.

94. Give it to me. I'll sign it.

95. Gotta be a parent.

96. - I can fake Frank's signature. - So can I.

97. - Same here. - School says

98. that he has to sign it in person.

99. Well, you know where Frank is?

100. Livin' with some lady up in Glencoe.

101. - He drives a Rolls Royce. - Unbelievable!

102. - Oh, good for him. - Anyone want to go with me?

103. No.

104. Hey, hey, you got money for the El?

105. - Yeah. - All right, drop us a pin

106. when you get there so we know you're safe.

107. - Got it. - Thanks.

108. So you gonna talk to Tami about Milwaukee, or...

109. I dunno.

110. Milwaukee sucks ass.

111. I mean, you should probably tell her

112. how you feel about it, right?

113. - [click, thud] - Lip?

114. Yeah. Yeah, no, I got it.

115. Thanks.

116. You ever try to get me to move to Milwaukee,

117. I'll fuckin' murder you.

118. - Thanks, thank you.

119. Thank you. I just wanna say,

120. before I go, this last month

121. has been a great journey

122. and one I couldn't have survived without all of you.

123. Thank you. Thank you.

124. Um...

125. I found myself alone in the woods

126. on a snowy night,

127. and there came a fork in the road...

128. one, a path that led to addiction.

129. The other... path also led to addiction,

130. but I turned the sleigh around,

131. and it has made all the difference.

132. Wha-W-Walt Whitman has always been

133. a personal favorite of mine.

134. Anyway, I'm outta the woods,

135. and I hope you all will join me there.

136. I love you guys. Good-bye.

137. Gimme five! Thank you, thank you!

138. I love you, I love you, I love you.

139. I'll see you all again!

140. What are you doin'?

141. This place is for rent.

142. We should call the number, check it out.

143. - Why would we do that? - Because I need a thing.

144. You have a thing. I need a thing.

145. - And it's right next door. - Why?

146. Oh, I'm finally comin' to terms with the fact

147. that I'm never gonna play in the NBA.

148. You were never gonna play in the NBA.

149. Well, not now, V, because I'm retiring from basketball.

150. I would think you'd be a little more compassionate.

151. We have so many other things to be thankful for.

152. Oh, like what?

153. You own a bar, you have a hot wife

154. and two beautiful girls.

155. Okay, that is good.

156. But where do I go from here, V?

157. What is the next chapter of my life?

158. Is there even a next chapter?

159. Or is this just...

160. it? Dry cleaner.

161. - What? - We could open up

162. - a dry cleaner. - No.

163. - Mattress store. - Uh-uh.

164. - Think tank. - What the hell

165. - is a think tank? - It's where people sit around

166. - and think. - That's the Alibi.

167. Frank!

168. Frank.

169. I went to confession.

170. Father reminded me

171. that an eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind.

172. And Kyle told me I need to let it go.

173. He was not happy.

174. He wants to kill you himself when he gets out.

175. Oh, well, I'll tell his parole board to keep me posted.

176. Are you okay?

177. Reasonable.

178. Good chow. Lotta sleep.

179. Too much talking, but...

180. Maybe when I get back from Puerto Rico,

181. we can grab a coffee?

182. What's in Puerto Rico?

183. My family's estate.

184. I spend the winters down there.

185. Huh. When you going?

186. This afternoon.

187. I'll come find you when I get back, okay?

188. Okay.

189. - [car door opens, closes] - Safe travels.

190. Ha ha ha.

191. - Hold on a sec.

192. Okay.

193. Hey, Milton.

194. Oh, what's up, Lip?

195. What up, man?

196. I thought you were, uh, in the Persian Gulf

197. - or some shit. - On leave.

198. Right, yeah, yeah, yeah.

199. So what's goin' on? Y-your dad's movin' out?

200. Moved on—funeral was a few days ago.

201. Oh, shit, I'm sorry, man.

202. That's fine. He was sick for a while.

203. Now I gotta try to get rid of all this stuff,

204. try to sell this dump.

205. Are you still livin' that same house with Frank?

206. Yeah, unfortunately, he's still alive, so...

207. Damn.

208. That's a surprise.

209. Hey, man, how much you askin'?

210. No idea.

211. We got mold behind the walls,

212. roof leaks.

213. Rat shit everywhere.

214. Got a ton of stuff I gotta fix before my leave's up.

215. Yeah, I wouldn't put too much into it.

216. Some yuppie's just gonna buy it and gut it anyway.

217. Mm. I don't have time for this shit.

218. - Gotta get back to base. - San Diego?

219. - Norfolk. - Right, yeah, no, that's—

220. that's right.

221. All right, well, hey, I'm sorry again.

222. - Be good, yeah? - Thanks, man.

223. Hey, asshole, just kick it

224. onto the truck next time— you'll do less damage.

225. You were pretty hard on those real estate people.

226. What's up with the open house thing?

227. You ask a lotta questions, Gallagher.

228. You know who asks questions?

229. Cops.

230. Look at this asshole parked in the alley.

231. Yo, hold up!

232. You a cop, Carl?

233. Hell, no.

234. Come on, man.

235. Ugh, what do you want?

236. Sorry to interrupt crack baby time.

237. Hey, Franny, this is this is what happens

238. when you hook up with a conniving bitch.

239. She blackmails you.

240. And when you're a ghetto whore teen mom,

241. you become a prostitute so you can pay your bills.

242. What are you doing here?

243. - I bought you a gift. - How sweet of you.

244. Now, I figured you probably wouldn't have

245. anything nice to wear to the dance,

246. since they don't sell formal wear at Costco.

247. A tuxedo?

248. You want me to wear this to the dance?

249. Yeah. I'm wearin' the dress.

250. - My mom text you?

251. She wants me to meet her at some boutique.

252. Yeah, don't do it.

253. She wants to buy me a birthday gift

254. to give to her even though I already got her one.

255. What'd you get her?

256. A T-shirt I was gonna give to Goodwill.

257. - Thoughtful. - She doesn't care.

258. She'll buy herself something, wrap it,

259. hand it to me, and then I'll hand it back to her

260. and say, "Happy birthday."

261. It's such bullshit.

262. Should I get her something too?

263. No. No, she'll pick something out for you

264. then pay for it just so she can say,

265. "Look what Debbie got me for my birthday."

266. Okay.

267. See you at the Chastain Hotel.

268. Seven p. m. Don't be late.

269. What do ya think?

270. I'm sending a letter to the "Player Gazette"

271. about my pending retirement from the game I love.

272. - What? - Can we hear it?

273. "Dear basketball..."

274. That's all I have so far.

275. - Good start, though. - Promising.

276. It's not even mine. I stole it from Kobe.

277. Plus, apparently, I need reading glasses now?

278. God, gettin' old sucks.

279. The other day, I found hair in my ear—lots a hair.

280. - Oh, it gets worse. - Half my life is over.

281. More than half.

282. - What? I'm only 38. - The life expectancy

283. for an average white man is 76.

284. - Exactly. - The life expectancy

285. for a poor white man from the South Side is 70

286. - if you're lucky. - Shit, am I dead?

287. I'm just saying you're definitely

288. coming down the mountain.

289. , V, that's why we gotta expand,

290. increase our revenue so we can retire by 60.

291. Live a little before we die.

292. Retirement is for rich people.

293. Poor people drop dead on the job.

294. - What is happening? - Just a little bit a research.

295. How's the guest list coming?

296. - What? - For the wedding.

297. Who you inviting?

298. - Uh, I don't have a list. - Well, you need a list.

299. I mean, if I don't know how many people

300. are comin' to the wedding, how do I know

301. what size venue we need for the reception?

302. We're having a reception? At a venue?

303. We're having a wedding wedding?

304. Jesus Christ, do you think this stuff just magically happens?

305. - You gotta plan shit. - A month ago, you were ready

306. to get hitched at City Hall and now you want a real wedding?

307. A lot can happen in a month. For example,

308. your fuckhead dad threatenin' to murder you again

309. 'cause you're gay.

310. That's what this is about—Terry?

311. Yup. Anything to make that miserable fuck more miserable.

312. So gimme your guest list, I'll work on your vows,

313. and I will follow up with the soloist.

314. - W-A fucking soloist? - Yeah, not just any soloist.

315. Motherfucker needs to be able to rock Livin' on a Prayer,

316. acoustic, hard. Also, I'm gonna want

317. a shit-ton a candles, so get those, uh...

318. church boys ready.

319. - Acolytes? - I don't care

320. what they're called—the little shits that light the candles.

321. You know?

322. Here ya go.

323. Wrote it down for ya.

324. Oh, well, this is cute.

325. Hey, why do you buy Julia's gifts for her?

326. Because, if I leave it up to her,

327. she'll just give me some unthoughtful

328. piece of junk—if she gives me anything at all.

329. Oh.

330. Do you have plans tonight?

331. Tonight? Why?

332. Well, I'm having dinner with my friends

333. to celebrate my birthday— nothing fancy—

334. but it'd be so much more fun if you were there.

335. I thought we were celebrating

336. - your birthday tomorrow. - Yeah, Tasha has to

337. go outta town for work, so we moved it to tonight.

338. Uh... just tonight I-I have family stuff.

339. You know, Franny.

340. I would pay for a sitter.

341. And everyone is dying to meet you.

342. Plus, Julia can't come.

343. She's going to some dance thing.

344. Yeah, I'm-I'm sorry, I-I really wish I could.

345. You know what? It's no big deal.

346. We'll just celebrate it without you.

347. Well, you and I can still celebrate tomorrow night,

348. - right? - Ugh, no, thanks.

349. At my age, one birthday party is painful enough.

350. It's fine.

351. I don't need my girlfriend at my birthday party.

352. Uh...

353. how 'bout I see what I can do?

354. Really? Are you sure?

355. Yeah, no, it's your friends and your birthday dinner.

356. I can't miss that, right?

357. Oh, my God, that would be the best gift ever.

358. I mean, besides this bag

359. I'm going to buy you to give me.

360. Since it's your birthday,

361. there's one condition.

362. I get to pick the restaurant.

363. Of course.

364. Hello!

365. - Anybody home?

366. Hello!

367. Anybody home?

368. Ha ha ha!

369. Hoo, yeah!

370. Yeah!

371. Whoa!

372. Easy, ladies.

373. What's up, boss?

374. What's up?

375. Otis wants you to bust into that house

376. and take a shit in the living room.

377. Why do I need to take a shit in their living room?

378. Because Otis told you to.

379. What if I don't need to take a shit?

380. When Otis says take a shit,

381. your only question should be, "How big?"

382. You wanna prove you're not a cop,

383. shit in the living room.

384. I don't need it.

385. Oh, damn!

386. I been to every home in Glencoe

387. looking for you—finally found the one with the Rolls Royce.

388. Were you followed—Does anyone else know I'm here?

389. - Nobody. - Whaddaya want?

390. I need you to sign a form at my school

391. or else I can't go anymore.

392. Well, why would I do that?

393. I wanna go to school, Frank.

394. Well, people in Hell want cold beer.

395. What's in it for me?

396. I'll call Child Services.

397. You're my father. You've abandoned me.

398. Well played, son.

399. But I'm re-abandoning you right after this is done.

400. Wait outside. I used a different entrance.

401. Hey, so there's this house over on Kingscross.

402. - Yeah? - Yeah.

403. You know, it's a total dump, but, uh,

404. you know, it's probably gonna go for nothin',

405. and, uh, with a little bit a work,

406. could be nice.

407. You thinking about buyin' a house in the South Side

408. even though you're movin' to Milwaukee?

409. No. No, no, no.

410. I was just thinkin', you know,

411. could be a good investment for somebody, though.

412. You know, fix it up,

413. flip it.

414. Did you ever do anything like that?

415. I never have to worry about what I would or wouldn't do.

416. Mr. Tamietti paid the down payment on my house,

417. loaned me the money to start Born Free.

418. He decides what I do.

419. I'm the definition of limited options.

420. - Hi. - Hi, Tam.

421. Hey.

422. I gave notice at the salon today.

423. Which means I told Liza to eat shit and die.

424. - Oh, wow.

425. Really? Yeah?

426. Burned that bridge!

427. Ah... ha.

428. Nice one. Congrats.

429. And I found a salon near Nana's place

430. where I can rent out a chair.

431. Wow, already? Really—wow—Yeah.

432. - Mm-hmm. - That's sweet.

433. Oh, also,

434. my Uncle Will works at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee.

435. Says they're always looking for new mechanics.

436. I mean, I could have my dad give him a call.

437. Uh... what's going on?

438. What's goin' on? Nothin'.

439. Yeah, I'm workin'. Why?

440. You're being weird.

441. Yeah, no, sorry, I just— I just remembered

442. I gotta close the loop on a couple things,

443. so...

444. What loops?

445. Look, I just quit my job.

446. Oh, yeah, I know.

447. Uh, it's all good, all right?

448. Everything's... everything's fine.

449. What?

450. Uh... ooh, nothin', uh...

451. nothin'.

452. Nothin'.

453. It's got, uh, two beds, one bath,

454. and, you know, I mean, I— i-it needs some work, but...

455. well, it's a good house.

456. Now, what do you think?

457. This place is a shithole.

458. Well, I-I'm just lookin' at options, all right?

459. I mean, did you know that Milwaukee

460. gets even colder than Chicago in the wintertime?

461. And-and you know that we're gonna be the ones

462. that have to check in on your nana every week

463. at the old folks' home and anytime she needs anything.

464. Uh-huh.

465. Look, I don't know— honestly, I feel kinda guilty,

466. you know, takin' charity from your family.

467. You gotta be kidding me.

468. It's what—100 feet from your family's house?

469. What about a tire store?

470. - No! - Ah, wow...

471. Barber shop?

472. Nail salon.

473. Dreams are stupid.

474. Dreams aren't stupid.

475. - Stupid ideas are stupid.

476. Nail salon... but for men.

477. We could definitely use another Subway.

478. Or a check-cashing place.

479. We don't need another check-cashing place.

480. Plus, all those things require big start-up costs.

481. V, we should contact that realtor.

482. That place is gonna rent out soon.

483. You don't even have a business plan.

484. The business plan is to rent out the place.

485. Not until you know what kinda business

486. you wanna start and how much it's gonna cost

487. to get it up and running— inventory, labor—

488. a business plan.

489. - Keg's kicked. - Oh—I have an idea.

490. How 'bout a business where you sell beer,

491. and when the keg is empty, you replace it.

492. - I got it.

493. I think that fulfills my fatherly obligation.

494. Congratulations, son.

495. You get to keep goin' to school.

496. See ya.

497. Frank, wait.

498. That new house that you're living in is pretty sweet.

499. Bet they have good schools. I wanna live with you.

500. Oh... I bet ya do.

501. Unfortunately, pal, we just don't have the space.

502. I need you on the South Side

503. lookin' after the- the business.

504. What business?

505. Finding easy, innovative ways

506. to make money without working.

507. That's the Gallagher family business.

508. I built it from scratch. I put in the hours.

509. Turned it into the thriving racket you see today.

510. And now, as Chairman Emeritus,

511. I'm naming you my successor.

512. But I miss you.

513. Nice try, son.

514. "I miss you."

515. Yeah...

516. "Miss you."

517. A true gentleman should be able

518. to tie a proper bow tie, full stop.

519. Only a schoolboy should ever

520. - ever be allowed to wear...

521. It's open!

522. - Hey. - Hey.

523. - That's a lotta wedding rings.

524. It's for Mickey.

525. He said he wanted to see some options.

526. Something borrowed, right?

527. Or stolen from Zales.

528. I'm gonna return them.

529. your tie around your neck.
