1. Come on, let me have some more fun with you!Copy !req
2. Bastard...Copy !req
3. "Evanescent Encounter (Part 3)
(The Cycle of Death and Rebirth, Part 3)"Copy !req
4. Shit...Copy !req
5. I'm gonna teach you how we felt...Copy !req
6. when we had to live in disgrace.Copy !req
7. I'm going to ruin your life.Copy !req
8. Just like you ruined ours!Copy !req
9. Who's there?Copy !req
10. Um... Are you Seizo Kasumi?Copy !req
11. No, I'm not.Copy !req
12. This is no place for a young lady
like you. You should go home.Copy !req
13. I came here to see someone.Copy !req
14. I came from so far away to see him...Copy !req
15. Wait a minute, are you—Copy !req
16. Wait here a moment.Copy !req
17. Careful, now!Copy !req
18. I can't have you croaking on me that easily.Copy !req
19. And now I'm going to teach you your lesson.Copy !req
20. I'm gonna teach you how it feels to be
disgraced, and yet have to go on living.Copy !req
21. What a load of crap...Copy !req
22. I've lived with every kind
of disgrace you can think of.Copy !req
23. There ain't one damn thing
that you can possibly teach me!Copy !req
24. You want me to have a taste of how
you feel? Quit talking like a pussy!Copy !req
25. When you point a sword at somebody,
you kill them or they kill you. End of story.Copy !req
26. I don't wanna hear any bitching from
somebody who can't deal with that!Copy !req
27. Hey, that was dirty, keeping
a dagger hidden in there!Copy !req
28. Aw, man... So much for my ace in the hole.Copy !req
29. Is someone here?Copy !req
30. Yes. A young girl who says that she has
traveled a great distance to see you, Seizo.Copy !req
31. What would you like me to do?
If you like, I can have her come back later.Copy !req
32. No, that's all right. Send her in.Copy !req
33. I'm sorry, you'll have to
forgive me for not getting up.Copy !req
34. Who might you be?Copy !req
35. I'm sorry, but my eyes
can't see much these days.Copy !req
36. Ever since I was a little girl,
my mother and I lived by ourselves.Copy !req
37. I had always been told that
my father had died long ago.Copy !req
38. But that wasn't true.Copy !req
39. He was alive, and he had
abandoned Mother and me.Copy !req
40. That's what Mother told me when she lay dying.Copy !req
41. Even now, when people ask me about
my father, I say that I don't have one.Copy !req
42. I don't consider myself his daughter.Copy !req
43. Even if I met him, I wouldn't want
to hear any excuses from him.Copy !req
44. I'll never be able to
forgive him for what he did.Copy !req
45. I'm sure that he doesn't know about how
we suffered or how Mother got sick and died.Copy !req
46. That's why I swore that when I met him,
I would make sure that he understood.Copy !req
47. That when I met him, I would
belt him one, no matter what.Copy !req
48. That's what I had planned, but now...Copy !req
49. This isn't fair... I can't do anything to you.
Not when you're so sick.Copy !req
50. Fuu...Copy !req
51. I don't think we'll see each other again.Copy !req
52. Goodbye.Copy !req
53. God, please hear my prayer...Copy !req
54. Once is all I ask.Copy !req
55. When I grow up, please let
me meet my father someday.Copy !req
56. As I suspected, you must be Seizo's daughter.Copy !req
57. He's talked about you a great deal.Copy !req
58. Seizo has always been...Copy !req
59. W-Who are you?Copy !req
60. —Wait!
—Don't!Copy !req
61. Let go!Copy !req
62. Seizo Kasumi, I presume?Copy !req
63. I am Guard Captain Kagetoki Kariya.Copy !req
64. By order of the Shogun,
I have come to take your life.Copy !req
65. Cut away. I'm as good as dead already.Copy !req
66. Do you have any last words?Copy !req
67. Fuu.Copy !req
68. I have no right to ask for your forgiveness.Copy !req
69. But a day hasn't gone by when I haven't
thought of you and your mother.Copy !req
70. I'm sorry.Copy !req
71. Come out here!Copy !req
72. After killing Kasumi, my orders are to
eliminate all family members and retainers.Copy !req
73. W-Wait a minute!Copy !req
74. That hurt, damn it!Copy !req
75. You don't know when to quit!Copy !req
76. You wanna play hide and seek again?Copy !req
77. Are you ready?Copy !req
78. No, not yet!Copy !req
79. Found ya!Copy !req
80. This ends here!Copy !req
81. You're pissing me off!Copy !req
82. Mugen...!Copy !req
83. You have my gratitude for leading me here.Copy !req
84. If you are truly the daughter of a samurai,
choose to die a brave death.Copy !req
85. Y-You son of a...Copy !req
86. Jin!Copy !req
87. You have my compliments.Copy !req
88. You managed to save your life
by somehow avoiding a fatal blow.Copy !req
89. In your current condition,
though, you can't hope to best me.Copy !req
90. Why are you here?Copy !req
91. Are you trying to throw away the life
that you so narrowly managed to keep?Copy !req
92. There are no lords worth risking your life for.
As I recall, that's what you said.Copy !req
93. Yes... For my whole life,
I've fought only for myself.Copy !req
94. My study of the sword was for no one but myself.Copy !req
95. But now...Copy !req
96. This is the last lesson
that I have to teach you.Copy !req
97. That lesson is the one
and only way to kill an enemyCopy !req
98. that you have no hope of winning against.Copy !req
99. You probably won't defeat him, but it is
possible that you will take him with you.Copy !req
100. You leave a small opening in your
defense and allow yourself to be struck.Copy !req
101. When that happens, it will create a brief
opening, and that is when you strike.Copy !req
102. Your chances of survival are virtually zero.Copy !req
103. If at all possible,
don't ever use this technique.Copy !req
104. I swear, I always get the
short end of the stick...Copy !req
105. You bastard...Copy !req
106. Jin!Copy !req
107. I can't believe it...
You allowed yourself to be struck...Copy !req
108. Mugen!Copy !req
109. What, it's you guys again?Copy !req
110. I can't move anymore.Copy !req
111. I think this might really be my time to go...Copy !req
112. Mugen?Copy !req
113. Mugen! Mugen!Copy !req
114. You're alive...!Copy !req
115. Oh, it's you? I thought you
were Death for a second...Copy !req
116. It seems like all I ever do is cry.Copy !req
117. And here I was trying to make it on my own...Copy !req
118. You dumb broad...Copy !req
119. Did you meet the Sunflower Samurai?Copy !req
120. You did, huh...?Copy !req
121. A promise is a promise.
Now it's time to settle things with you.Copy !req
122. So it would seem.Copy !req
123. Ain't we a sorry sight...Copy !req
124. You can say that again.Copy !req
125. The truth is, Seizo wanted to bring
you and your mother with him.Copy !req
126. But if he had, you would have been hounded
by the Shogunate's Christian hunts, too.Copy !req
127. That's why he came here by himself.Copy !req
128. The picture I had of my father in my
memories was of a big and strong man.Copy !req
129. But when I actually met him,
he wasn't anything like that.Copy !req
130. He was really small and frail.Copy !req
131. But I still sensed that he really was my father.Copy !req
132. Are you awake?Copy !req
133. Yeah...Copy !req
134. It would seem that this isn't Hell...Copy !req
135. This feels so weird...Copy !req
136. Up until now, whenever I met
somebody who was tougher than me,Copy !req
137. I couldn't rest until I'd killed the guy.Copy !req
138. But now...Copy !req
139. I don't feel like killin' you at all.Copy !req
140. I, too, feel as if I've finally found what
I've been searching for all this time.Copy !req
141. I have been alone my entire life...Copy !req
142. You are the first friends I have ever made.Copy !req
143. Hey, you two are awake!Copy !req
144. You've certainly gotten a lot of sleep.
You've been out for nearly a whole week.Copy !req
145. We have...?Copy !req
146. I'm starving... Gimme something to eat.Copy !req
147. Well, see ya.Copy !req
148. Until we meet again.Copy !req
149. Um, listen... There's something
that I haven't told you.Copy !req
150. As in?Copy !req
151. Way back when we started this trip,
we made a bet, remember?Copy !req
152. Toss this coin, and if it comes up heads,
hack away all you want.Copy !req
153. But if it comes up tails,
both of you will stay with me.Copy !req
154. Are we clear?Copy !req
155. It's tails!Copy !req
156. The thing is... It actually came up heads.Copy !req
157. —Say what?
—You didn't...!Copy !req
158. That's all.Copy !req
159. She had us completely fooled.Copy !req
160. What did we even come on this trip for?Copy !req
161. Well, bye! I hope we meet again!Copy !req
162. "The End"Copy !req
