245. I was in the shower one morning and I felt really sick.

246. I screamed for my mom to come get me out of the shower,

247. because I felt like I couldn't move.

248. And they rushed me to the hospital,

249. and it was good old diabetes.

250. So that must be hard for you, being in a competition,

251. because it's so dependent

252. upon what your blood sugar is doing.

253. Sometimes I can feel when I'm getting low,

254. like my blood sugar's getting low,

255. and sometimes I can feel when it's high.

256. When I'm in full drag, I have pads on and a corset,

257. and I'm having to keep my insulin pump hidden

258. and tucked away in my outfits.

259. So it's kind of this juggling game

260. that I have to be really cognitive of.

335. a lot of it has to do more with conquering death

336. in some weird way.

339. How much has that impacted you every single day?

340. I think the main way it's impacted me is with my hands.

341. It's just the atrophy of the hands.

342. But, I mean, everything you do

343. when you have, like, a disability like that,

344. you just learn to do it in a different way.

345. So I use my teeth all the time for everything.

346. I use—when I do my makeup,

347. I move with my elbow instead of my fingers.

348. And so you just learn little ways to make shortcuts.

349. What do you want out of life moving forward?

350. I think for a long time

351. I really wanted to make, like, a monument of my drag,

352. and that comes from

353. constantly feeling like you're letting go of everything

354. and wanting to, like, attach yourself to life,

355. because it's, like, slipping away from you.

356. I'm just finally learning to just enjoy life,

357. and that is a hard thing to do.

358. You should create a superhero called Sister Nosis.

359. Because most people will succumb to their illness

360. and think of themselves as a victim.

361. I don't think of you as a victim at all.

362. I feel so proud.

363. I've done things here that I'll remember forever.

365. as far as someone with my illness.

372. How have you changed in this competition?

373. I think what I've learned, maybe, in this competition

374. is that any of the risks that I've taken on the runway

375. or in the challenges are the things that paid off the most.

376. - Yeah. - Do you have siblings?

377. Yeah, my brother, um, unfortunately committed suicide

378. when I was about 14 and he was 21.

379. So it was a hard time, and I think for that reason,

380. um, I was kind of keen to leave England.

381. And, um, I just never felt like I wanted to go back,

382. because I just felt like

383. it was a physically very dark place to be.

384. Have you resolved all of that,

385. all of the sort of darkness you left behind?

386. Um...

387. Because you can't run away from it.

388. I know.

389. I think even just saying it out loud makes me realize

390. I have a fear of kind of going back and settling there.

391. It just kind of brings up memories

392. of a time where I felt like

393. I just didn't know, really, what to do.

394. Looking back, it was a lot to deal with.

395. But I felt like it was my responsibility

396. to kind of keep everyone together

397. and keep everyone happy.

398. So how has that motivated you

399. or pushed you into doing what you do?

400. I've wanted to have a moment of "just you wait," you know?
