542. he enacted terrible, racist policies,

544. You know, my mom moved here right before the revolution,

545. but her close sister is still back in Iran,

546. and my mom has actually been having a lot of health issues

548. And we were hoping that her sister could come here

549. and kind of help take care of my mom,

550. and because of Trump and racism, it's not happening.

551. And I just don't think that's okay.

552. My aunt is the sweetest woman

553. and has always been there for my mom.

554. And the fact that she can't be there now

555. because of Trump's travel ban is devastating.

556. These are two women who, you know, need each other right now.

1090. that LGBT people are treated in the Middle East.

1091. And at the same time, I am one.

1092. But what is so important is to me,

1093. that if you just happen to be different,

1094. then, like, live that truth.

1096. it really destroyed a lot of my faith in this country.

1097. And it really hurt my family.

1098. And that's so wrong to me.

1100. that you can be LGBT and from the Middle East
