821. it puts me in a dark place.Copy !req
822. That always stuck with me,Copy !req
823. because when you love someone
so muchCopy !req
824. and they tell youCopy !req
825. that you're the reason
for their unhappiness,Copy !req
826. it'll mess with you a bit.Copy !req
827. Honestly,
you are not responsibleCopy !req
828. for anybody else's,
like, baggage.Copy !req
829. Like, in life,Copy !req
830. you are only responsible
for your own actions.Copy !req
831. Like, what anybody else does
is not on you.Copy !req
832. Remember to make sure you take
care of yourself first, always.Copy !req
833. And, Rock,
you have us now, bitch.Copy !req
834. This is new beginnings
for all of us.Copy !req
835. If anything, yesterday I was
more offended by your farts.Copy !req
836. Those are what you should
have apologized for,Copy !req
837. but you did not, bitch.Copy !req
838. There's more coming.Copy !req
839. These girls are starting
to understand meCopy !req
840. a little bit better
than I can understand myself,Copy !req
841. and they really care for me,Copy !req
842. even though we haven't
known each other for very long.Copy !req
843. - Thank you.
- You're welcome.Copy !req
844. Get shorts that are a little bit
longer next time, okay?Copy !req
845. And walk like this?Copy !req
846. Oh, my God!Copy !req
847. Girl!Copy !req
848. She brought
her cookie-cutters, baby.Copy !req
849. Oh, my God.Copy !req
850. I'm so excited,
because my first numberCopy !req
851. that I did
in New York City in dragCopy !req
852. was based around Chicago.Copy !req
853. Oh, word.Copy !req
854. And so I'm like
this is so serendipitous.Copy !req
855. Like, all right, bitch, you're
in the right spot, let's do it!Copy !req
856. See, you have, like,
so much character to you.Copy !req
857. - You're so bubbly, and just—
- Thank you.Copy !req
858. I like to think
that I'm just a cheerleaderCopy !req
859. on too many caffeine pills,Copy !req
860. like the bitch
from Saved By the BellCopy !req
861. who's so excited.Copy !req
862. Like, that's me.Copy !req
863. I'm a little concerned right now
for AidenCopy !req
864. because Aiden was so in her head
in rehearsal about the dancing.Copy !req
865. - Aiden.
- Yeah?Copy !req
866. How art thou feeling?Copy !req
867. I know you were, yesterday,
feeling like a little—Copy !req
868. I was literally on the verge
of tears yesterdayCopy !req
869. at the end of rehearsal.Copy !req
870. I hope that wasn't my fault.Copy !req
871. It wasn't that it was
anybody's fault, exactly.Copy !req
872. I know how you were feeling,Copy !req
873. and I would never want you
to feel like that, so—Copy !req
874. You have to shake all that offCopy !req
875. and just leave everything
on the stage and just kill it.Copy !req
876. We gonna go out there,Copy !req
877. and we gonna be giving them
some Fosse realness.Copy !req
878. We had better.Copy !req
879. And what?Copy !req
880. Welcome to the main stage
of RuPaul's Drag Race.Copy !req
881. Michelle Visage,
it's our second big opening.Copy !req
882. I could smell it
from here. Yeah.Copy !req
883. The hilarious Ross Mathews.Copy !req
884. Now, are you
a song-and-dance man?Copy !req
885. No, but I am a little light
in the loafers.Copy !req
886. Jazz hands.Copy !req
887. Thandie Newton.
Darling, you made it.Copy !req
888. I did.
My bucket list is complete...Copy !req
889. once I get the chicken
out of it.Copy !req
890. The amazing Robyn
is here. Hello.Copy !req
891. Hi.Copy !req
892. Wait. Squeeze me?
What does that mean?Copy !req
893. Ru, it's just
"don't fuck it up."Copy !req
894. Good advice. I'll take it.Copy !req
895. This week, for our
second season premiere,Copy !req
896. we challenged our new queens
to introduce themselvesCopy !req
897. with an original song and dance,
You Don't Know Me.Copy !req
898. Gentlemen,
start your engines,Copy !req
899. and may the best woman win.Copy !req
900. Coming up...Copy !req
901. Ooh!
[RuPaul laughs, bell dings]Copy !req
902. Curtains up,
light the lights.Copy !req
903. It's the world premiere
of You Don't Know Me.Copy !req
904. Ooh...Copy !req
905. Aah! Hi, boys.Copy !req
906. I don't know you,
but you definitely know me.Copy !req
907. I grew up
in a big city full of sin,Copy !req
908. where everyone knows my name:Copy !req
909. Dahlia.Copy !req
910. Amazing. Amazing.Copy !req
911. Category is Tulle.Copy !req
912. First up, Aiden Zhane.Copy !req
913. Oh, my goodness,
I can see her tulle from here.Copy !req
914. I pity the tulle.Copy !req
915. I am serving you
a lime-green princess,Copy !req
916. but as usual I'm still
very wicked in the face.Copy !req
917. I feel like a badass.Copy !req
918. Whose lime is it anyway?Copy !req
919. Kermit
is rolling in his grave.Copy !req
920. Dahlia Sin. Now,
her tulle is red and engorged.Copy !req
921. There's an ointment for that.Copy !req
922. My look is very inspired
by the eighties.Copy !req
923. It's very glam,
it's big, it's rocker.Copy !req
924. That bitch
that walks on the runway,Copy !req
925. its just like, damn,Copy !req
926. I'm gonna go to
what I know best: sex.Copy !req
927. Those boots are kinky.Copy !req
928. They are so kinky.Copy !req
929. Jaida Essence Hall.Copy !req
930. Would you
pull that crap with Annette?Copy !req
931. I'm ready
to show the judgesCopy !req
932. exactly how elegant I can be.Copy !req
933. I feel like a big, yellow,
floaty cupcakeCopy !req
934. coming down the runway.Copy !req
935. Light, airy, and I have
these sickening shouldersCopy !req
936. to accentuate the whole look
and tie it together.Copy !req
937. Butter?
I hardly know her.Copy !req
938. Very good, Ross.Copy !req
939. Yell-err.Copy !req
940. Jan. Simply Jan.Copy !req
941. Well, she wore her tulle-belt.Copy !req
942. She did doubles.
It's a double entendre.Copy !req
943. No,
it's a double en-tulle-dre.Copy !req
944. I am bringing the T-O-O-L
to the T-U-L-L-E,Copy !req
945. and I'm giving you
a fashion-forward silhouette.Copy !req
946. I want to do thingsCopy !req
947. that other people
aren't going to think of doing.Copy !req
948. It's a win.Copy !req
949. Oh.Copy !req
950. Well, that throws
a wrench in my plan.Copy !req
951. This is embarrassing,
but I can see her manhole.Copy !req
952. Oh, no!Copy !req
953. Rock M. Sakura.Copy !req
954. Oh, tulle's out for summer.Copy !req
955. She's acting quite a-loofah.Copy !req
956. They told me
to do a tulle runway,Copy !req
957. I'm gonna do a tulle runway.Copy !req
958. I'm wearing
800 to 900 yards of tulle.Copy !req
959. I have dynamic silhouettes
and big ideas.Copy !req
960. Welcome to the netting zoo.Copy !req
961. She's a fluffer.Copy !req
962. Sherry Pie.Copy !req
963. Oh, no!Copy !req
964. Somebody left Sherry Pie
in the rain.Copy !req
965. Aw.Copy !req
966. I'm just crying
my big bum down the runway.Copy !req
967. I just feel like
a little cumulo-nimbus cutie.Copy !req
968. It's campy, it's clever,Copy !req
969. it's just kind of whimsical
in the best way.Copy !req
970. Does she remind
anyone else of Stormy Daniels?Copy !req
971. This is what global warming
looks like.Copy !req
972. Yeah.Copy !req
973. Coming up...Copy !req
974. This red is so gorgeous on you.Copy !req
975. It was a great, great
lip sync.Copy !req
976. You had a very meaty tuck.Copy !req
977. Welcome, ladies.Copy !req
978. Now it's time
for the judges' critiques,Copy !req
979. starting with Aiden Zhane.Copy !req
980. Hi.Copy !req
981. In the fashion show,
you were a sunflower.Copy !req
982. It was very, very cute.Copy !req
983. You managed to keep things
campy and fashion,Copy !req
984. which is a difficult line
to balance.Copy !req
985. And then your other look
was very Thanksgiving-y.Copy !req
986. Yes.Copy !req
987. The centerpiece of a table,
perhaps.Copy !req
988. You had a very meaty tuck.Copy !req
989. It could use some work.Copy !req
990. - Do you know that already?
- Yes.Copy !req
991. Listen, a little duct tape
will fix all those things.Copy !req
992. That dress is making my body
talk part one, two, and three.Copy !req
993. There's a kind of
Grey Gardensvibe.Copy !req
994. I'm a little frightened,
but fascinated.Copy !req
995. Right out the box
I was really impressedCopy !req
996. with what I saw
in that performance.Copy !req
997. It was very Sally Bowles.Copy !req
998. It was a great, great lip sync.Copy !req
999. Your lyrics say that
you have multiple personalities.Copy !req
1000. Well, honey, I cannot waitCopy !req
1001. to see who walks
around that corner next week.Copy !req
1002. Thank you.Copy !req
1003. Up next, Dahlia Sin.Copy !req
1004. In your fashion show,Copy !req
1005. you gave us the fabulous
neon green with the red hair.Copy !req
1006. That was a really great pairing.Copy !req
1007. I loved your
Sissy That Sasquatch fur number.Copy !req
1008. I thought that was so fun.Copy !req
1009. This red is so gorgeous on you.Copy !req
1010. I just wanna make sure that
you are painting loud enough.Copy !req
1011. Okay.Copy !req
1012. Remember,
nothing's subtle in drag.Copy !req
1013. Okay.Copy !req
1014. You've gotta pop
like you're SojuCopy !req
1015. in the first week.Copy !req
1016. Eew.Copy !req
1017. In your performance tonight,Copy !req
1018. you felt a little nervous to me.Copy !req
1019. I could feel a little bit
of holy shit.Copy !req
1020. - Mm-hmm.
- Did you grow up in Vegas?Copy !req
1021. Because in your lyrics, you said
"a big city with lots of sin."Copy !req
1022. Brooklyn.Copy !req
1023. You've won titles?Copy !req
1024. What are those titles?Copy !req
1025. Mostly just, you know, being
on the train, being a whore.Copy !req
1026. Those are more my titles.Copy !req
1027. - Uh-huh.
- That's it.Copy !req
1028. So what I'm saying is I
didn't get to know much of you,Copy !req
1029. and I'd like to get to know you
a little bit more.Copy !req
1030. - I got you.
- Okay.Copy !req
1031. Up next, Jaida Essence Hall.Copy !req
1032. Any relationship to Arsenio?Copy !req
1033. Not yet.Copy !req
1034. Yes, it's Jaida,
the essence of beauty,Copy !req
1035. the gowns, the face,
and all that booty.Copy !req
1036. Those lyrics were spot-on.Copy !req
1037. Like, I learned
so much about you.Copy !req
1038. What I felt when I watched you
lip sync was your playfulness.Copy !req
1039. You have that way of moving
that feels very, very natural.Copy !req
1040. It made me really happy.Copy !req
1041. It made me smile.Copy !req
1042. Thank you.Copy !req
1043. In the fashion show,Copy !req
1044. I specifically loved
the Fall look.Copy !req
1045. I thought that
was super-duper chic.Copy !req
1046. But at the end of the day,Copy !req
1047. the confidence
would have sold any garment.Copy !req
1048. - Thank you.
- Mmm.Copy !req
1049. What a delight.
Just beautiful.Copy !req
1050. You remind me of
a Bollywood princess, and...Copy !req
1051. Ooh.Copy !req
1052. And Josephine Baker
all combined.Copy !req
1053. - Thank you.
- I love the tone of that yellow,Copy !req
1054. and I love that you chose
the pink nails with it,Copy !req
1055. because it looks like
you'd wear itCopy !req
1056. to the gayest Easter ever.Copy !req
1057. Thank you.Copy !req
1058. Up next, simply Jan.Copy !req
1059. Just Jan.Copy !req
1060. This tulle look
was really smart,Copy !req
1061. because you knew
that everybody was gonna comeCopy !req
1062. in these frou-frou
Vera Wang numbers,Copy !req
1063. and it was smart
to do something different.Copy !req
1064. It was smart
to pull out the tool.Copy !req
1065. You have a lot of skills
in your tulle-belt.Copy !req
1066. You've got frigging
traffic cone earrings.Copy !req
1067. - I mean, come on.
- Ooh.Copy !req
1068. You're a feast.Copy !req
1069. I just really, really wanna
pay attention to the details.Copy !req
1070. This is my favorite show.Copy !req
1071. I listen to the critiques,
and I wanna apply them to myselfCopy !req
1072. every time I step on the runway.Copy !req
1073. And it needs to be different
every single time.Copy !req
1074. And you did all of that
the first time we saw you.Copy !req
1075. Yeah.Copy !req
1076. When you were out
doing the lip sync number,Copy !req
1077. I felt Demi Moore
in the height of her heyday,Copy !req
1078. this ambition.Copy !req
1079. Even in your lyrics, you say,Copy !req
1080. "push further into mainstream
than any queen before."Copy !req
1081. Hmm. I have a little issue
with that.Copy !req
1082. You have a lot
on your to-do list.Copy !req
1083. I do.Copy !req
1084. - One thing at a time.
- Yes.Copy !req
1085. - Show us who you are.
- Yes.Copy !req
1086. - But don't try to do too much.
- Yes, thank you.Copy !req
1087. Up next, Rock M. Sakura.Copy !req
1088. Hi, hi.Copy !req
1089. Let's talk about
your fashion runway looks.Copy !req
1090. The first one, you came out with
the anime-loving Spring look.Copy !req
1091. I drew the illustration
that was on the side.Copy !req
1092. - Oh, you drew them?
- Yes.Copy !req
1093. It's anime on acid.
It's amazing.Copy !req
1094. Your performance
was very interesting,Copy !req
1095. because you did
kind of 1920s, see,Copy !req
1096. and then you went into scat
and... fart humor, yeah?Copy !req
1097. Yeah.Copy !req
1098. - Because is that—
- Yeah, that's part of me.Copy !req
1099. At least, like, 10 times
in the workroom, I've farted.Copy !req
1100. These poor ladies had
to keep reapplying their makeup.Copy !req
1101. It kept melting off.Copy !req
1102. You said,
"A high kick to a fartCopy !req
1103. that can send a grown man
back home to his mama."Copy !req
1104. That's right.Copy !req
1105. That's always the sign for meCopy !req
1106. of someone who has something
important to say.Copy !req
1107. It's true, yeah.Copy !req
1108. This look tonight,
you sort of remind meCopy !req
1109. of any guy who goes on a date
with Michelle Visage:Copy !req
1110. you are getting swallowed.Copy !req
1111. Can't even argue that.Copy !req
1112. It's a lot.Copy !req
1113. I would love to just edit
everything down just a skosh.Copy !req
1114. I love this outfit.Copy !req
1115. I love how huge
and ostentatious it is,Copy !req
1116. and the same with your makeup.Copy !req
1117. It's performance art, it's not
trying to just be beautiful.Copy !req
1118. So you go for it.Copy !req
1119. All right, up next, cut me
a piece of that Sherry Pie.Copy !req
1120. I love a queen
that can make me laugh,Copy !req
1121. and your lyrics
made me laugh right away.Copy !req
1122. POV, OMG, and LOL.Copy !req
1123. If Meryl Streep could be
a drag queen, it would be you.Copy !req
1124. It would.
There's something there.Copy !req
1125. In the fashion show,
the first look was lovely.Copy !req
1126. You know, it wasn't dynamic,
but it was beautiful.Copy !req
1127. Then she turned around and
came out as Zorro the Gay Blade.Copy !req
1128. I loved everything about it.Copy !req
1129. It told us a little bit more
of who you are.Copy !req
1130. Your dress is amazing, because
it does something when you moveCopy !req
1131. that is really pleasant
to look at. Yeah.Copy !req
1132. Thank you.Copy !req
1133. Thank you, ladies.Copy !req
1134. I think we've heard enough.Copy !req
1135. Now, while you untuck backstage,Copy !req
1136. the judges and I
will deliberate.Copy !req
1137. All right, now just between
us squirrel friends,Copy !req
1138. what do you think?Copy !req
1139. Aiden Zhane.Copy !req
1140. I think Aiden knows
that she is different,Copy !req
1141. and that that's a cool thing.Copy !req
1142. The lip sync was great,Copy !req
1143. but it was also
how she was telling the story.Copy !req
1144. It was almost
listening to, like,Copy !req
1145. a children's book
being read or something.Copy !req
1146. She defines originality.Copy !req
1147. Aiden is a natural.Copy !req
1148. Watch out for her.
She is so memorable.Copy !req
1149. She's got something,
and it's important for herCopy !req
1150. to fine-tune whatever it is
that is.Copy !req
1151. Mm-hmm.Copy !req
1152. Dahlia Sin.Copy !req
1153. This is a beautiful girl
who knows how to walk a runwayCopy !req
1154. and who knows how to put
a look together as well.Copy !req
1155. Dahlia is beautiful,
Dahlia is sexy,Copy !req
1156. but Dahlia tries to be sexy.Copy !req
1157. Because I'm not 100% sure
Dahlia knows who she is yet.Copy !req
1158. Mm-hmm.Copy !req
1159. I feel like
she's limiting herselfCopy !req
1160. to just thinking
about the aesthetics.Copy !req
1161. - Mm-hmm.
- And I think that sometimes,Copy !req
1162. when you're kind of hemmed in
by what your aesthetic value is,Copy !req
1163. you know, looking gorgeous,
it makes you a little stiff.Copy !req
1164. Jaida Essence Hall.Copy !req
1165. Jaida Essence Hall
Pinkett Smith.Copy !req
1166. Zeta Jones.Copy !req
1167. Zeta Jones.Copy !req
1168. She is just
so much fun to watch.Copy !req
1169. She makes me feel like
I want to also get up and dance,Copy !req
1170. which is very special.Copy !req
1171. I was a little concerned,
because Jaida has so much poiseCopy !req
1172. that she wouldn't
be able to let goCopy !req
1173. and kind of get dirty
and have fun.Copy !req
1174. But that lip sync
showed me she was down.Copy !req
1175. Jan.Copy !req
1176. Ooh, Jan wants to win.Copy !req
1177. I think Jan wants my seat.Copy !req
1178. - Yes, she does.
- I think you're right.Copy !req
1179. Jan pulled out all the stopsCopy !req
1180. to say, I can do this,
I can do this, I can do—Copy !req
1181. It was like her résumé,
which I can't blame her for.Copy !req
1182. I actually kind of loved
that she did all that.Copy !req
1183. She was a wonderful performer,Copy !req
1184. and hitting
that great high note.Copy !req
1185. The positive energy
was so apparent, strong,Copy !req
1186. and then also a lot.Copy !req
1187. A lot at the same time.Copy !req
1188. - Yeah.Copy !req
1189. She's got so many things
going around in her headCopy !req
1190. that maybe she's not
being present enoughCopy !req
1191. to focus on
what's happening right now.Copy !req
1192. Rock M. Sakura.Copy !req
1193. I loved Rock M.'s spring look,Copy !req
1194. especially when I found out
that she drew it herself.Copy !req
1195. That, to me, took it
to this whole other levelCopy !req
1196. of, okay, this girl's
got something to say.Copy !req
1197. Her performance was good.Copy !req
1198. Um... Fart humor
makes everybody laugh.Copy !req
1199. I just don't know
if it was the first thingCopy !req
1200. she should come out with.Copy !req
1201. Tonight on the runway,Copy !req
1202. I actually liked that
tulle dress that she had on.Copy !req
1203. It's a very smartly
constructed outfit,Copy !req
1204. because she did have a waist.Copy !req
1205. Michelle, I have to disagree
with you. I just—Copy !req
1206. Her whole body was shaped out.Copy !req
1207. What you talking about, Ross?Copy !req
1208. This is the challengeCopy !req
1209. where you're supposed
to show us who you are.Copy !req
1210. I couldn't even see her,Copy !req
1211. let alone Sherry Pie
standing behind her.Copy !req
1212. Sherry Pie.Copy !req
1213. I live for this kind of queen.Copy !req
1214. I mean, this is
the kind of queenCopy !req
1215. where you're using the urinal
and you look up,Copy !req
1216. and there's a flyer
for her face up on the wall,Copy !req
1217. and you go, "Oh, hey,
what are you doing tomorrow?Copy !req
1218. She's performing." I mean—Copy !req
1219. Wait, who are you
talking to at the urinal?Copy !req
