28. it's RuPaul!

29. Hello, hello, hello!

30. Welcome to the RuPaul's Drag Racegrand finale,

31. brought to you by filters. Filters...

32. They keep a quarantined queen looking good.

33. Now, after one of the most enter-tainting

34. seasons in herstory,

35. tonight we gather virtually

36. to crown America's next drag superstar.

37. Now, extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures,

38. and I wanna applaud all the queens

39. for pitching in like never before

40. to ensure that this show must go on.

41. I also wanna send my love and gratitude

42. to the amazing crew of RuPaul's Drag Race.

43. Out of caution for everyone's safety,

44. we are all working from home tonight.

45. I miss each and every one of you,

46. but I gotta tell ya, who I really miss are the grips.

47. You should have seen me

48. trying to assemble this green screen all by myself.

49. Whew.

50. But it was worth it,

51. because tonight it's all about our top three queens:

52. Crystal Methyd,

53. Gigi Goode,

54. and Jaida Essence Hall.

55. All three of these ladies are already legendary children,

56. but only one can win the crown.

57. Tonight, America's next drag superstar

58. will need to survive three competitive lip syncs.

59. First, a three-way close-up lip sync,

60. where they serve face, face, face.

61. The second, a lip sync from home, where each queen

62. has chosen a different song to express themselves

63. in a performance they've produced in lockdown.

64. And finally, I'll chose the top two queens

65. to lip sync for the crown

66. as they perform side-by-side, but thousands of miles apart.

67. Now, watching from home tonight

68. are my sequestered squirrel friends.

69. She's holed up with her husband.

70. Michelle Visage.

71. Hey, baby.

72. You know, as they say, any hole is a goal.

73. Sending you greetings from Camp Visage with me, the hubby,

74. the daughter, the dogs.

75. - Doing nothin'.

76. Here we are.

77. The hilarious Ross Mathews.

78. Hi, you guys.

79. Welcome to my homo, sweet homo!

80. You know, I watched all of Season 12 like 47 times.

81. Gay's Anatomyreally holds up.

82. Oh, really?

83. Yeah, fine, I'll tell you. Sorry.

84. Audrey thinks Jan was robbed in the Madonna challenge.

85. I told him.

86. And style superstar Carson Kressley.

87. Cheers, Ru. Greetings from Pennsylvania.

88. Hi-ee!

89. - Ha— - Carson?

90. Carson!

91. I think your screen is frozen, darling.

92. Is your connection okay?

93. Oh, no, Ru, that's just my face.

94. I did a little homemade botox,

95. but it turned out it was poppers.

96. Oh.

97. Thanks for noticing.

98. Thanks, guys. We'll be checking in with you a little later.

99. Now, to all the fans

100. who've been binge-ing this season in record numbers,

101. I have one thing to say:

102. Thank you!

103. RuPaul's Drag Race has helped me

104. while I've been self-isolating

105. by giving me both an escape,

106. but also connecting me with the world.

107. I've been watching RuPaul's Drag Racein quarantine,

108. just like everyone else,

109. and it just makes me feel good every time.

110. Watching Drag Race in self-isolation

111. has, first of all, made me smile a lot,

112. and made me forget about how sad some of this felt.

113. I love you, Ru!

114. I've loved watching Drag Race this season

115. because it taught me that even if we're sequestered

116. and isolated from the outside public,

117. we can still be fabulous.

118. Being in quarantine was nuts,

119. and it really helped to watch a lot of nuts.

120. Ru, thank you for this show.

121. Thank you for this excuse to get dolled up

122. for the first time since giving birth about six weeks ago,

123. and for the excuse

124. to show off my pornographically large breasts,

125. which are filled with milk.

126. Oh, yeah.

127. And now, let's all say this next part together.

128. Gentlemen, start your engines,

129. and may the best woman win.

130. The winner ofRuPaul's Drag Race

131. receives a one-year supply

132. of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics

133. and a cash prize of $100,000.

134. Hey, it's Whoop,

135. and I'm sending this message

136. to everybody over at RuPaul's Drag Race.

137. As an entertainer, there are times

138. when we are really, really, really necessary,

139. where it just—nobody can do it better than we can.

140. I think this is one of those times,

141. and America needs her queens.

142. America needs her queens

143. to remind them how to social distance,

144. how to wash their hands,

145. but with a little flair and a little humor

146. and a little love.

147. Hang in there. I know you will.

148. I'd hate to think of a world without y'all.

149. Aw! Thank you, Whoopi.

150. And now it's time to do a deep dive

151. into the charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent

152. of our top three queens.

153. Now, prior to tonight,

154. I had a one-on-one chat with my very best girls.

155. First up, the kooky and charismatic Crystal Methyd.

156. - Uh-oh. - Uh-oh.

157. Who's ready to party and play?

158. I'm Crystal Methyd, and I'm a little devil

159. that likes to raise hell in the Bible Belt.

160. One, two, fashion's comin' for you.

161. I make a lot of my own drag myself.

162. Love to create weird and unique looks.

163. You're freaky, you're fun.

164. You are El-motherfucking-DeBarge.

165. Business in the front and party in the back!

166. Wow. Thanks, Magic Mullet!

167. Do the jerk!

168. You have had a pivot in this competition

169. where you've really gone all-in on your weird,

170. which is, by the way, how you win this show.

171. I have worked my way from the bottom

172. to a consistent top in this competition.

173. I feel like I can do anything!

174. Wow. Hello, Crystal Methyd.

175. Well, hi, Ru.

176. Now, is it just me,

177. or do you also hear that song every time I say your name?

178. It follows me everywhere I go.

179. People have been telling me when you search "El DeBarge,"

180. that I show up.

181. It is absolutely crazy.

182. Now, Crystal, you earned your way to the top

183. by doing something most queens struggle with.

184. You applied the judges' critiques.

185. Yeah, I definitely tried to make sure I was listening,

186. but keeping what makes me... me in all of it.

187. I'm glad I was challenged in that way,

188. because now I feel like I'm even more capable

189. of creating all kinds of magic.

190. Now, your mom and dad sent us

191. this extra-special video message.

192. - Hi, RuPaul. - Hi, RuPaul.

193. Thank you for choosing Crystal to be on your show

194. and perhaps be the next America's drag superstar.

195. Cody, we're proud to be your parents.

196. I remember when you first told us that you were gay,

197. which took us by surprise.

198. I can still hear your dad saying,

199. "I'm not going to lose my son

200. "like so many other families have.

201. He's still Cody."

202. Remember we are your greatest fans.

203. Nana records your shows

204. and has your aunt translate what you're saying.

205. You keep reaching for the stars,

206. and don't settle for anything less, Crystal.

207. All your hard work has paid off.

208. Aw, wow!

209. That was so sweet.

210. That is so sweet, and they're so gorgeous and glamorous.

211. I know. Isn't my mom fabulous?

212. She is fabulous. She had the girls out, didn't she?

213. She's always got those girls out.

214. Hey, listen, if you got it, flaunt it.

215. Yeah. I mean, she paid good money for 'em.

216. So how is your dad doing?

217. He's doing really good.

218. You know, it's a really hard thing

219. that he's going through with Parkinson's.

220. He's just slowly over time been losing mobility.

221. He actually just bought a huge, brand-new truck

222. so that before he's unable to drive,

223. he can live out this last bit of time in luxury.

224. Hold on one second. This just in.

225. Breaking news.

226. We have another video message,

227. and this one's from your abuela.

228. I don't speak Spanish,

229. but I think your grandmother said, "I love glitter."

230. Was I close?

231. I believe that's what it translated to, yes.

232. And it was just my grandma's 90th birthday.

233. You are kidding me.

234. Yeah, she's incredible.

235. Now, your abuela had her girls out, too.

236. It's a family tradition.

237. To have the girls out and to wear all cheetah print

238. and all the jewelry, yeah.

239. Now, you have your girls out, too.

240. Is that your real body hair underneath that,

241. or is that just printed on the fabric?

242. It's printed on the fabric,

243. and then there's some yarn sewn in.

244. I've even got some in here.

245. Ooh, my goodness.

246. Now, to win the crown

247. you're gonna have to perform three lip syncs from your home.

248. So what is your strategy to slay the lip sync?

249. I'm gonna do what Crystal Methyd does best.

250. I'm gonna be weird, I'm gonna be funny,

251. and I'm just gonna serve you all the emotions of the songs.

252. Now, Crystal, I always say

253. that we have a lot of young, sweet, sensitive souls

254. who watch our show for guidance and inspiration.

255. With them in mind,

256. what advice do you have for your younger self, little Cody?

257. Oh, little cutie.

258. Cody, just know that as you grow up

259. you're gonna realize

260. that you're kinda different from the other kids.

261. Don't be scared by that.

262. Embrace it, and know that what makes you different

263. is what makes you so incredibly special.

264. Do not try and hide from it,

265. and know that your family

266. will always be behind you 100% no matter what.

267. And your mom knows that you go into her closet

268. and try on her clothes.

269. - You're not fooling anyone.

270. So, Crystal, tell me this.

271. What would it mean to you

272. to be crowned America's next drag superstar?

273. Ru, I want to turn drag on its head.

274. I want to create looks that are so bizarre

275. that people don't even know if it's drag.

276. Drag has always been about pushing boundaries,

277. and I think that my drag is doing that.

278. And I think that that is why

279. I am America's next drag superstar.

280. All right, she's DeBarge and in charge.

281. Crystal Methyd.

282. Thank you, darling.

283. Thank you.

284. You know, there's a lot of conflama in the world today,

285. but let's not forget about all the good that people are doing.

286. Serving gratitude with a little attitude,

287. it's the queens of season 12.

288. Although the world is in a crazy state right now,

289. we're all in this together and we will get past this.

290. It will get better.

291. Shout out to all the doctors,

292. to the nurses, to the hospital administrators.

293. To all of those out there on the front lines.

294. To help us fight this coronavirus.

295. It really sucks what's going on in the world,

296. but in times like these we just have to remember to be blessed.

297. God bless all the people

298. who are surviving and thriving right now.

299. Can I get an "amen" for all of the essential workers

300. who are going to work every single day,

301. to make sure that all of us are taken care of? Mwah!

302. I wanna throw a lot of love to my best friend Matt

303. over at Cox Hospital.

304. My mom is a respiratory therapist.

305. I wanna thank people like my mom,

306. who is singlehandedly running a restaurant right now.

307. I am thankful for the delivery guy

308. of my favorite Indian restaurant.

309. I know, girl. I know.

310. But a bitch gotta eat, okay?

311. I'm blessed there are people at grocery stores

312. putting their health at risk.

313. I wanna throw a lot of love

314. to people who have lost their jobs.

315. Just hang in there, please hang in there,

316. because we will see a brighter side of this.

317. Can I get a "amen"?

318. Can we get a "amen"?

319. Baby, can I get an "amen" for—ooh, girl.

320. We'll be right back.

321. Coming up,

322. Gigi Goode and Jaida Essence Hall

323. go one-on-one with Mama Ru.

324. Plus, prepare to be gagged

325. by the tightest lip sync in Drag Raceherstory,

326. when the grand finale of RuPaul's Drag Racecontinues.

327. Welcome back to the grand finale of RuPaul's Drag Race,

328. where tonight we'll be crowning America's next drag superstar.

329. Up next, when it comes to her many talents,

330. this queen is unapologetic.

331. Here she is, Miss Gigi Goode.

332. Ahoy. My name is Gigi Goode,

333. and I'm not just Goode, I'm incredible.

334. - Where's Gigi Bad? - Mm, that's what I wanna know.

335. Fashion means everything to me.

336. I see my drag going to the cover of Vogue, period.

337. This look, perfection!

338. Is that my new competition in the modeling world?

339. So what is like y'all's specialty?

340. Name something.

341. - She does it all, bitch. - Okay.

342. I think the first impression of me

343. is going to be, oh, God, here's another fashion queen.

344. No personality, no humor.

345. How do you make a robot funny?

346. I understand your concern,

347. but I do not have the same concern.

348. Okay. All right.

349. What's up, bitch?

350. Come on, girls!

351. She needs a face transplant, stat!

352. Literally, I would steal that line.

353. Like that's a real rap line.

354. You've got gorgeous out here

355. and a weird little mind in there.

356. You sold every moment of your performance.

357. You were just living what you were singing.

358. You weren't just good, you were great.

359. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my gosh.

360. Hello, Miss Goode.

361. Oh, what's up, bitch?

362. It's like looking in a mirror.

363. I know. Come on, Miss Daytona Beach.

364. So what's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?

365. Top three bitches.

366. Well, you know what, I can't say that I'm surprised.

367. I am so proud of myself for making it here,

368. and I worked my ass off to get here, so...

369. You're very confident. Where does that come from?

370. Confidence to me is something I cherish,

371. because a lot of people

372. can mistake confidence for cockiness.

373. And I like to believe

374. that I was raised in a way to stay humble,

375. but still be proud of everything that I put out into the world.

376. And I know that you live in Los Angeles now,

377. but when you were in high school,

378. you were living in the Midwest.

379. - Is that correct? - That is correct.

380. I was living in Woodstock, Illinois,

381. which if you've seen the movie Groundhog Daywith Bill Murray,

382. that's where that was filmed.

383. So there really weren't any venues to perform,

384. other than, like, a substance-free venue

385. that doubled as an indoor rock wall.

386. I've been climbing up and down those walls

387. since I was 15 years old, mama.

388. Now, Gigi, if your mom had a nickel

389. for every time she was mentioned by you on the show,

390. she'd have a million dollars.

391. Well, tonight she sent you this very extra-special message.

392. Let's take a look.

393. Hi, Gigi. I'm here in my sewing room,

394. and I'm just so excited

395. you're on the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race.

396. Oh, my gosh.

397. From the minute you walked into the werkroom

398. I was just blown away.

399. And to see you in that pirate outfit,

400. something that I made for you, was just so special.

401. You've done a phenomenal job.

402. And to RuPaul, I just wanna say thank you

403. for giving my child a chance to express themselves

404. in a way that they were truly meant to,

405. and for helping other people

406. show how they can be creative in so many unique ways.

407. So good luck, Gigi.

408. Bring home the crown, and I love you.

409. - Oh, my goodness. - Oh, my God.

410. Thank you, Mother Goode.

411. I wish every child

412. could have someone as supportive as your mother.

413. I have been so lucky to have her in my life,

414. and I just wanna preach it.

415. Now, Gigi, you are a huge inspiration

416. to so many of our very young, impressionable fans.

417. With that in mind, what words of wisdom

418. do you have for little Samuel?

419. Oh, my gosh.

420. You are so blessed

421. to have the people around you that you have.

422. Um... But your dad...

423. It's gonna— it's not gonna be easy with him.

424. He's not gonna understand what you're doing

425. and what you wanna do.

426. And there's gonna be times

427. where he doesn't wanna look at you

428. dressed the way that you're dressed,

429. and he doesn't want to understand.

430. But there will come a time

431. when he will say that he's proud of you,

432. and, um...

433. when that moment happens, it's going to offer, you know,

434. a rope that you can pull to one another and finally reconnect.

435. And then you have your mom.

436. She's always been by your side every step of the way.

437. A lot of kids are not as lucky as you are,

438. so just remember to say thank you,

439. and tell everyone around you that you love them.

440. Wise words, especially in these crazy times we're living in.

441. So, Gigi, to snatch the crown tonight,

442. you're gonna need to lip sync from home.

443. What's your home space like?

444. It's pretty cramped,

445. so it's been a struggle to turn the space

446. into what I'm doing for my lip sync at home number,

447. which is actually very heavily inspired

448. by the original music video for this song.

449. I am so lucky to be able to do this for the world,

450. and really just— I've created a goddamn fantasy,

451. and y'all don't even know what's coming.

452. Oh, boy.

453. So, Gigi, what would it mean to you

454. to be crowned America's next drag superstar?

455. Oh, gosh. Okay, well, that there is a loaded question, Miss Paul.

456. To me, it's not an option not to win.

457. And, you know,

458. if the crown ends up going to one of my other sisters,

459. I'm happy for them, but I know

460. that I have been able to deliver in every single category

461. that a Drag Racesuperstar has to give.

462. And I know that's a bold statement,

463. and I know it comes back to whether it's humble or cocky,

464. but I'm bringing it back to confidence.

465. This crown belongs to me.

466. Gigi Goode, you are one bad bitch.

467. Thank you for an incredible season.

468. Thank you so much.

469. I really, really do wanna thank you

470. from the bottom of my heart.

471. - Thanks, Gigi. - Thank you, Ru.

472. Love your "facekinki".

473. Up next, a queen who delivers grit, glitz, and glamour,

474. Jaida Essence Hall.

475. Take a look.

476. Hey, bitches, she's here!

477. I'm Jaida Essence Hall, the essence of beauty.

478. She's gonna put somebody's eyes out with those things.

479. For me, drag is exuding feminine energy.

480. I'm here to slay the competition.

481. Mm, what a delight.

482. Growing up, I always loved fashion,

483. and I never thought I would have the chance to do it,

484. and when I found drag, I'm like,

485. Oh, my God, I can do everything that I've always wanted to do.

486. Now, I know what you're thinking.

487. Damn, she looks snatch, and you're right.

488. I have deemed myself trade of the season.

489. Because I'm what?

490. Whip smart.

491. I think you're so friggin' funny, bitch.

492. Look over there!

493. Where?

494. You are stunning, so polished.

495. I don't think I've ever met anybody

496. that is a perfectionist in their head but has so much heart.

497. Every single week we see another layer peeled away,

498. and we see more and more Jaida.

499. Over the course of the competition I've grown.

500. It pushes you to be a better entertainer,

501. and, like, coming off of this,

502. baby, she's gonna be like Wonder Woman times 10.

503. I'm ready for it.

504. Jaida Essence Hall, you look like Diana Ross

505. on the Eaten Alive album cover.

506. Thank you. That wouldn't be a bad thing right now.

507. No, not a bad thing at all. Listen,

508. how did you fight your way into the top three?

509. Growing up where I grew in Milwaukee,

510. probably one of the worst neighborhoods in the city,

511. it was one of those things

512. where you had to fight for everything that you wanted,

513. no matter what it was.

514. Even for me coming from a place

515. that was so hard to grow up in and so rough,

516. it made me a better competitor

517. in so many other aspects of my life.

518. So, Jaida, how has your family reacted

519. to you appearing on Drag Race?

520. It's so crazy.

521. my mother is always at work, usually,

522. and she's, like, telling everybody at her job,

523. like, "This is my son."

524. And she's, like, holding up all these pictures of me.

525. And then when I had the first viewing party,

526. my second oldest brother and my father,

527. they came to the viewing party, and it was so crazy.

528. Because when you announced that I had won the challenge,

529. my brother and my father started to cry.

530. Oh, wow.

531. Well, it's time for the worldwide television debut

532. of your brother John and Papa Essence Hall.

533. Take a look.

534. All right, Jaida,

535. I just thought I'd send a little encouragement your way.

536. You have everything working in your favor.

537. You're smart, you're creative, you're courageous,

538. you're talented, you're funny,

539. you're extremely passionate.

540. Let's complete the mission

541. and go out there and win that crown.

542. I love you, bro.

543. Personally speaking, I'd just like to let you know, Jared,

544. that you're doing a hell of a job.

545. And I wish, I wish your grandmother was here

546. and your Auntie Poney was here

547. to see what you was doing.

548. I'm pretty sure they looking down at you right now,

549. thinking, you know, you doing your thing,

550. and just keep doing what you doing.

551. - Oh, my goodness. - Oh, my God.

552. They've got the essence, all right.

553. - Oh, my God. - My goodness.

554. So if your grandmother were watching us right now,

555. what would you want to say to her?

556. I would want to tell my grandmother

557. thank you so much for...

558. being the first person to accept me for who I was,

559. even though I didn't even know who I was then.

560. Ohh, I get emotional

561. always talking about her, but she was, like,

562. this super-glamorous woman all the time.

563. I watched Gone with the Wind with her,

564. I watched Casablancawith her.

565. Her favorite actress was Elizabeth Taylor.

566. So the way that I've built my drag character

567. is a lot—in a lot of ways that fantasy that me and her shared

568. from those movies and all of that.

569. And I get to live that every single time I get in drag.

570. Every single time that I step on the stage in drag

571. and I can live this glamorous fantasy,

572. I get to live out all the opportunities

573. I don't get to share with my grandmother now.

574. Thank you, Grandma, for inspiring this child

575. with the old, beautiful movies from the forties

576. and fashion and aesthetics.

577. It makes such a difference

578. when we have that kind of support in our lives.

579. - Yeah. - Now, Jaida,

580. it's time for you to chat with your younger self.

581. Oh, gosh.

582. What words of wisdom

583. do you have for little Jared?

584. First of all, bitch, you have sickening skin.

585. You will go through a lot in life.

586. You will have a lot of people

587. who won't like you because you're different.

588. So many times,

589. things that you think are for you you won't receive,

590. but those things are only there to make you stronger in the end.

591. And also...

592. I love you.

593. I love you so much.

594. And remember that— remember to love yourself

595. no matter what you face in life.

596. The way you feel about yourself

597. is just as important as the way other people feel about you.

598. Yeah. Very wise words.

599. I hate crying.

600. The tears of a drag queen.

601. Now, let's talk about tonight's lip sync.

602. You and your boyfriend live in a very small apartment.

603. Is that correct?

604. Yeah, it's tiny, tiny, tiny.

605. Did you clear out all the furniture?

606. Girl, maybe she's gonna dance across the couch.

607. Maybe she's gonna tap dance on a table.

608. Whatever I have to do.

609. Above all, she's a performer,

610. and she's gonna make it work.

611. So, Jaida, what does it mean to you

612. to become America's next drag superstar?

613. Oh, like I said in my political debate,

614. I'm a bitch of the bitches, for the bitches.

615. Like, I know—I know how it is

616. to, like, grind so hard and so many times be told no.

617. And it would give me a validation

618. that, bitch, you know what your craft is.

619. You know what you're doing.

620. You're in the right place at the right time for the right reason.

621. Yes, I hear you.

622. So, Jaida, in closing, I have one thing to say.

623. Look over there!

624. Where?

625. It gets me every time.

626. Me, too.

627. Thank you so much, Ru.

628. Thank you, Jaida Essence Hall.

629. Ooh!

630. We'll be right back after this.

631. Coming up, we're just moments away

632. from tonight's first lip sync smackdown for the crown.

633. Plus an extra-special report from Ramseur, North Carolina,

634. when the grand finale of RuPaul's Drag Racecontinues.

635. Welcome back to the grand finale of RuPaul's Drag Race.

636. Now, the lockdown hasn't been easy on anyone,

637. but one queen can always find a silver lining.

638. Check out this stuck-at-home video

639. sent to us from Heidi, still in the closet.

640. Take a look.

641. Good evening, good morning, good morrow.

642. It's me, Heidi N Closet,

643. with a PSA for all you people out there.

644. Heidi's guide to social distancing.

645. Now, during these crazy quarantine times,

646. I need you to make sure that you're staying safe and healthy,

647. as well as soft and supple.

648. Wash yo hands! Please!

649. We gonna get you some nice, warm water.

650. A little bit of water just to get it going.

651. I think the word's "malleable."

652. What I like to do is say my motto.

653. Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, and fuck you.

654. I'm worried about Heidi, okay?

655. And then you dry your hands.

656. Safe socialization.

657. Hey, Mr. Garbage Man!

658. Ooh, you looking cute today.

659. Hello, Nicki Minaj?

660. It's me, Young Gappy.

661. Oh, hey, Mrs. Johnson, girl.

662. No, no, you stay over there.

663. How'd I get your number?

664. Girl, don't worry about how I got your number.

665. Girl, I got sources and stuff.

666. Oh, you're outside the property line, Mr. Johnson.

667. That's not social distancing.

668. Mm. Oh, you gonna block me.

669. No!

670. What I do while I'm in quarantine

671. is I try to break in all my new shoes.

672. I'm just trying to—I'm trying to break them in, and—

673. so I can—so I can start dancing in them.

674. Oh! No, no, no. No, no, no.

675. Heidi, you're the winner of this week's challenge.

676. Now say it like you mean it.

677. Let's break 'em in.

678. - You cheated. - I did not.

679. - Did you cheat? - I did not!

680. Any questions? Concerns?

681. Yes, you, with no arms.

682. You are the winner of this week's challenge!

683. Can I take this off, please?

684. Now, I can't stress enough,

685. please do not put disinfectant on your body.

686. What I do recommend is...

687. Tears of a Drag Queen.

688. Oh!

689. [thunder, cloudburst] Oh, God!

690. Thank you, Heidi.

691. Does anyone need to check on her?

692. Um, I don't know.

693. Now the time has come

694. for our first lip sync round of the night,

695. the close-up lip sync.

696. I'm looking for my top three to connect with the song,

697. convey the emotion,

698. and serve realness using just their faces.

699. Let's go.

700. Three queens sit before me.

701. Prior to tonight, you were asked to prepare

702. a lip sync performance of my new single,

703. Bring Back My Girls.

704. Crystal,

705. Gigi,

706. Jaida,

707. assume the position.

708. The time has come...

709. to lip sync...

710. for the crown!

711. Good luck, and don't fuck it up.

712. Thank you, ladies.

713. It's good to see you've all been flossing.

714. The judges will be sharing their critiques shortly.

715. Now, late last year

716. we lost a beloved member of the Drag Racefamily.

717. Jacqueline Wilson passed away

718. shortly after we completed filming Season 12.

719. She loved her queens, and we still love her.

720. Jacqueline was most definitely the soul of Drag Race.

721. Jacqueline really, really, really loved the show,

722. and you could tell in everything that she did.

723. One of the best parts of being on the show

724. was getting to work with her.

725. She was an amazing, an amazing, amazing person.

726. A very strong, inspiring, direct,

727. Emmy Award-winning black female producer.

728. She was so passionate about drag.

729. She loved getting to work on RuPaul's Drag Race,

730. and she took so much pride

731. that she'd been working on it since Season 2.

732. Jacqueline's job was to essentially tell our story.

733. And any of those moments that you see queens sitting down,

734. talking to that person on the other side of the camera,

735. oftentimes, it was Jacqueline.

736. For me, that was Jacqueline.

737. Miss Jacqueline was my story producer

738. on Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race.

739. We laughed, we cried.

740. She was my mother, she was my therapist.

741. Thanks.

742. On my final day after my elimination,

743. she got out of her chair

744. and insisted I give her a big hug.

745. And when I was not hugging her hard enough,

746. she insisted I squeeze her harder.

747. She changed my world so drastically.

748. She just really cared.

749. She was my rock during my season.

750. She always had encouraging words for me

751. and kept me grounded and level-headed.

752. And looked like that doing it.

753. And looked like that doing it.

754. Could have walked down the runway at any given moment.

755. Baby, at any given moment.

756. Jacqueline was a fashion icon in the Drag Raceworld.

757. Honey, if Jacqueline's going to an event,

758. call the newspapers,

759. because she's going to shut it down with her fashion.

760. If Jacqueline felt a way about something,

761. honey, she would let you know.

762. She would be so blunt. She would always say

763. that she's a straight, no-chaser kind of girl.

764. She can smell the B.S.

765. You didn't want that side-eye.

766. No, you didn't want the side-eye.

767. Or the rolled eyes, honey.

768. Oh, even worse.

769. She just kept it real, and when I thought I was fierce,

770. she was, like, "Chirl, chirl, that sponge dress."

771. She was always kind of someone who brought me back to sanity.

772. And even after filming, she would call me

773. and make sure that I was doing okay.

774. And she was always kind of rooting for me.

775. We would always talk on the phone, I would always visit.

776. Jacqueline and I would speak

777. after every single episode of RuPaul's Drag Race.

778. She was at our wedding.

779. No matter where you were gonna be performing,

780. she would find you to let you know we're here for you.

781. She even came to see me on Broadway.

782. Every Christmas party, every show.

783. It's something I will cherish forever.

784. I'll be eternally grateful for the words of encouragement,

785. the advice that Jacqueline offered me.

786. She was just a great mentor to me,

787. and she didn't let, um...

788. Oh, God.

789. Everyone who knew her looked up to her.

790. I keep this picture of Jacqueline in my home.

791. It's a picture of Jacqueline and RuPaul

792. that I keep on my desk where I do a lot of my work.

793. I really miss her.

794. I'm just so grateful that I got to meet

795. such a beautiful, honest, and loving soul.

796. Jacqueline, I wanna thank you so very much

797. for sharing your light, your love,

798. your passion of what you do, your energy with us.

799. Thank you, Jacqueline.

800. Thank you, Jacqueline.

801. Thank you, Jacqueline.

802. We will always, always remember you,

803. and you will always have a very special place in our hearts.

804. We miss you, Jacqueline.

805. Welcome back to the grand finale of RuPaul's Drag Race.

806. Now, inspired by Madonna's 1990 Rock the Votevideo—

807. Speak your mind, there's nothing to it. Vote!

808. Our Season 12 queens

809. are here to remind you to hit the polls this November.

810. Take a look.

811. I vote because it is my right as a U.S. citizen.

812. Together, we have the power to change America.

813. Not only for the queers of now, but the queers of tomorrow.

814. I'm Canadian, so I can't vote, but, boy, if I could...

815. And you can.

816. It's easy to register right now.

817. Ooh, yeah.

818. Throwing shade is cheap, but voting is free.

819. The most revolutionary thing you can do is vote.

820. And what?

821. For our second lip sync smackdown for the crown,

822. I've asked each of our top three queens

823. to produce, direct, and star in a lip sync from their home

824. to a song that they've chosen.

825. Now, our judges, Michelle, Ross, and Carson

826. will be watching from home

827. and will share their critiques shortly.

828. Because after this lip sync, I will eliminate one queen,

829. and then the top two will lip sync

830. for the title of America's next drag superstar.

831. First up, from her home in Springfield, Missouri,

832. Crystal Methyd.

833. Good luck, and don't fuck it up.

834. Thank you, Crystal.

835. We'll be right back.

836. Coming up...

837. Gigi Goode and Jaida Essence Hall

838. lip sync the house down

839. when the grand finale of RuPaul's Drag Racecontinues.

840. Welcome back to the grand finale of RuPaul's Drag Race.

841. We are in round two

842. of our lip sync smackdown for the crown.

843. Up next, from her home in Los Angeles, California,

844. Gigi Goode.

845. Good luck, and don't fuck it up.

846. Thank you, Gigi.

847. Next up, from her estate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin,

848. Jaida Essence Hall.

849. Jaida, good luck, and don't fuck it up.

850. Oh, yeah.

851. Ladies and gentlemen!

852. Thank you, Jaida.

853. And now it's time for the judges' critiques,

854. starting with Crystal Methyd.

855. So Crystal's close up, gosh, I was so intrigued.

856. It was so asymmetrical and unusual,

857. but I was riveted.

858. And her lip sync from home, what the flock?

859. It was genius.

860. It was so her, it was so creative,

861. it was so unique.

862. I don't wanna egg her on, but that was just about perfect.

863. I feel like she just gave everyone the bird.

864. I never thought that regurgitation

865. would make it into Drag Race, but somehow it did,

866. and I feel better knowing that her baby bird was nourished.

867. Creative, kooky, Crystal.

868. Up next, judges, what did you think of Gigi Goode?

869. Gigi Goode's close-up was spectacular.

870. She actually was acting with her eyelashes,

871. like, syncopated to the beat the entire time.

872. And then her lip sync from home, I had an aha moment.

873. It was so well conceptualized.

874. And then that moment when she jumps and her outfit changes,

875. I don't know how she did that.

876. That's the thing on the TikTok that the kids do.

877. Can someone teach Uncle Ross how to do that?

878. Honey, she brought the nostalgia,

879. she brought the fashion, she brought it all.

880. She was not just good, she was amazing.

881. And last but not least,

882. what did you all think of Jaida Essence Hall?

883. For me, it was really interesting

884. because she was stealing focus from some of the other girls

885. by moving backward and forward towards the camera,

886. a very smart choice.

887. Jaida's lip sync from home,

888. she is so at home with this material

889. that she actually inhabits the song.

890. She's performing like she is in Madison Square Garden

891. and the whole place is packed.

892. She used her couch,

893. she used her floor, she used her hair.

894. If anything was in Jaida's way,

895. she was going to use it, and that she did.

896. Amazing.

897. Oh, my God, you guys.

898. This quarantine, I think it's getting to me

899. because I actually agree with Michelle.

900. - Thank you, judges.

901. And as usual, you've been no help at all.

902. Calling my top three queens.

903. I've made my decision.

904. The queens moving forward

905. to the finale lip sync for the crown

906. will be...

907. announced right after this.

908. Aah!

909. Ah, ha-ha.

910. No, ma'am.

911. Coming up,

912. we'll find out who makes it

913. to the final lip sync smackdown for the crown.

914. Plus, Nina West presents this year's Miss Congeniality.

915. And America's reigning drag superstar, Yvie Oddly, returns,

916. when the grand finale of RuPaul's Drag Racecontinues.

917. Welcome back to the grand finale

918. of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12.

919. Crystal Methyd,

920. Gigi Goode,

921. Jaida Essence Hall,

922. each of you have presented performances tonight

923. and all season long that have made me so proud,

924. and now I've made my decision.

925. I need to see more.

926. Con-drag-ulations. You are all moving on

927. to the final lip sync for the crown.

928. - Oh! - Yay!

929. Werk!

930. That's right, all three of you will face off

931. in a first-time-ever cross-country battle royale.

932. And in the end,

933. one of you will be crowned America's next drag superstar.

934. Get ready, ladies,

935. because tonight you have a date with destiny.

936. Wait a minute.

937. I thought Miss Destiny was up in prison.

938. She's out? She got paroled?

939. Shit, she ain't changed her ways.

940. Look, I grew up with Miss Destiny.

941. I know who she is.

942. I don't know who she's trying to fool.

943. Oh, yeah, I'll be the judge of that.

944. We are just one lip sync away from crowning a winner, baby.

945. But first, last week our reigning Miss Congeniality

946. crashed the reunion to announce this year's Miss Congeniality.

947. Take a look.

948. Oh, after a long year of being congenial,

949. it is so nice to unwind with a good pal who understands.

950. Girl, I will always love you.

951. Well, I hear ya, squirrel friend.

952. It can be exhausting being so nice all the time.

953. I'm so nice, I agreed to do this video.

954. But I gotta say,

955. it is a real drag being stuck here at the house.

956. I wish I had some reason to get dressed up and go out somewhere.

957. Oh, oh, we should totally do

958. that remake I pitched you, Steel Drag-nolias.

959. Yeah, I got the script,

960. but I'm keeping my options open right now.

961. So is that a hard pass?

962. Nina, you know how I love our heart-to-heart talks,

963. and I really, more than anything,

964. appreciate you keeping my secret

965. that my real name is Leslie Jordan,

966. and I'm just in drag.

967. Dolly Parton, living legend and queen of country music,

968. stop talking!

969. I have to go crash the Drag Racereunion

970. and present the Miss Congeniality award.

971. Well, I see she's tucked in for the night.

972. All right, Dolly, how do I look?

973. Meh.

974. Bye, Dolly.

975. I'll see you at the 9 to 5sing-along.

976. How do I get into this—

977. Wow. I finally got the role I wanted!

978. Hello, ladies, it's me, Nina West!

979. And I'm here to present this year's Miss Congeniality.

980. The winner will receive $10,000!

981. Yes!

982. Presented by Pantene Nutrient Blends.

983. The Season 12 queens have all voted,

984. and the winner is...

985. Heidi N Closet.

986. - Con-drag-ulations! - Thank y'all.

987. Oh, thank you!

988. Con-drag-ulations.

989. I wanna say thank you.

990. Thanks very much to all my Season 12 sisters.

991. Y'all are all fabulous and amazing,

992. and I really thank y'all so, so very much.

993. Y'all taught me so much through this experience.

994. And I want to speak to all those people out there

995. that have been made fun of for just being who you are.

996. I've been there, and it feels amazing

997. to be celebrated for just being who I am.

998. So I want you all to be just who you are,

999. because that's when your star is truly shining the brightest.

1000. So keep shining your true selves. Mwah.

1001. Love you, Heidi!

1002. Yeah!

1003. But wait, ladies. That's not all.

1004. To honor your spirit and commitment

1005. to entertaining the world over these last several many weeks,

1006. each of you will receive a $2,000 tip.

1007. What?

1008. Courtesy of Pantene Nutrient Blends.

1009. - All right. - Thank you!

1010. Thank you, girl.

1011. See? Being kind really is cool.

1012. Imma wash my hair now.

1013. Come on, Miss Pantene stimulus checks.

1014. Now, RuPaul's Drag Race has never had a winner

1015. as freakin' fabulous as our reigning champion,

1016. straight from Denver, Colorado,

1017. the not-so-straight Yvie Oddly.

1018. Oh, God.

1019. Um, let me go throw on my... good sweatpants.

1020. Hmm.

1021. Aah!

1022. Fuck!

1023. It's done!

1024. Since winning Season 11,

1025. my life has been a nonstop whirlwind of excitement.

1026. I've been on all the best carpets.

1027. I've stormed every catwalk.

1028. I've met the most amazing people,
