2. on Riverdale...Copy !req
3. We will not restCopy !req
4. until those responsibleCopy !req
5. for the murder of our sisterCopy !req
6. is rightly punished.Copy !req
7. Fangs...Copy !req
8. Mrs. Klump, the Sheriff'sCopy !req
9. department is workingCopy !req
10. around the clock—Copy !req
11. You were supposed toCopy !req
12. be protecting our children.Copy !req
13. - What's all this?Copy !req
14. - It's ransom money.Copy !req
15. Not for Archie,Copy !req
16. I got him back.Copy !req
17. This is from when I turnedCopy !req
18. the tables on Nick, and heldCopy !req
19. him for ransom instead.Copy !req
20. I still haven't madeCopy !req
21. my bones with you.Copy !req
22. There's only one manCopy !req
23. I'm interested in bringingCopy !req
24. down, the Black Hood.Copy !req
25. And whatever I can doCopy !req
26. to help you on your quest,Copy !req
27. you can count on me.Copy !req
28. This isCopy !req
29. the Black Hood speaking.Copy !req
30. I got a letter.Copy !req
31. These symbols lookCopy !req
32. so familiar to me.Copy !req
33. I used to check outCopy !req
34. this book obsessively.Copy !req
35. Betty, how couldCopy !req
36. the Black Hood know that?Copy !req
37. Put it on.Copy !req
38. Why are youCopy !req
39. doing this to me?Copy !req
40. To show youCopy !req
41. that we're the same.Copy !req
42. Where is he, Betty?Copy !req
43. Where did you take Chic?Copy !req
44. Did you kill my brother?Copy !req
45. I didn't mean to hurt him.Copy !req
46. I'm gonna give youCopy !req
47. a head start.Copy !req
48. Mom, where's dad?Copy !req
49. - Hello.Copy !req
50. - Hello, Sir.Copy !req
51. I'm campaigning forCopy !req
52. my dad, Fred Andrews.Copy !req
53. He's running for MayorCopy !req
54. of Riverdale and couldCopy !req
55. really use your vote.Copy !req
56. On the eve ofCopy !req
57. the Mayoral Debate,Copy !req
58. as Archie AndrewsCopy !req
59. goes door-to-door,Copy !req
60. he doesn't mentionCopy !req
61. the murder of hisCopy !req
62. classmate, Midge Klump.Copy !req
63. Excuse me, sir.Copy !req
64. I'm campaigning for my dad,Copy !req
65. Fred Andrews.Copy !req
66. I'm votingCopy !req
67. for Hiram Lodge.Copy !req
68. Don't you meanCopy !req
69. Hermione Lodge?Copy !req
70. Take the flyer, sir,Copy !req
71. in case you change your mind.Copy !req
72. Sure.Copy !req
73. Most peopleCopy !req
74. believed Midge wasCopy !req
75. murdered by someone elseCopy !req
76. but not Archie.Copy !req
77. He was certain,Copy !req
78. beyond a shadow of a doubt,Copy !req
79. the Black Hood was back,Copy !req
80. as was his next-doorCopy !req
81. neighbor, Betty Cooper.Copy !req
82. Who had, in fact,Copy !req
83. laid eyes on the Black HoodCopy !req
84. and suspectedCopy !req
85. he was much closer.Copy !req
86. Penny for yourCopy !req
87. thoughts, hon?Copy !req
88. I was thinkingCopy !req
89. that he was a test.Copy !req
90. Who was?Copy !req
91. The impostor, Chic.Copy !req
92. Everything that he did to usCopy !req
93. and brought to us,Copy !req
94. was kind of a test.Copy !req
95. But we survivedCopy !req
96. and we're stronger for it.Copy !req
97. Well, that remainsCopy !req
98. to be seen.Copy !req
99. No, Mom, we are.Copy !req
100. And we'll surviveCopy !req
101. whatever else comes next.Copy !req
102. You can't seeCopy !req
103. my bruises anymore.Copy !req
104. Yes, no reasonCopy !req
105. whatsoever to bring upCopy !req
106. Nick's failed attemptCopy !req
107. to kidnap and murder you.Copy !req
108. Speaking of,Copy !req
109. there is one thingCopy !req
110. I wanted to tell you.Copy !req
111. What's that?Copy !req
112. Word of my exploits servingCopy !req
113. Nick his comeuppanceCopy !req
114. has seepedCopy !req
115. into the demimondeCopy !req
116. of mobsters and mollsCopy !req
117. my father usedCopy !req
118. to associate with,Copy !req
119. so the five familiesCopy !req
120. are sendingCopy !req
121. their youngest and brightest,Copy !req
122. their "princes," as it were,Copy !req
123. to, well, come courtCopy !req
124. the rare Mafia PrincessCopy !req
125. who can belly upCopy !req
126. to the bar with the big boys.Copy !req
127. What do youCopy !req
128. mean, "court"?Copy !req
129. Thanks to my play,Copy !req
130. the families are lookingCopy !req
131. to make a businessCopy !req
132. and/or political alliancesCopy !req
133. with my parents.Copy !req
134. It's all veryCopy !req
135. Borgia-Medici.Copy !req
136. - Archie,Copy !req
137. if you have a moment?Copy !req
138. Go ahead.Copy !req
139. We'll meet up at lunch,Copy !req
140. after I welcomeCopy !req
141. the tributes.Copy !req
142. My spies tell meCopy !req
143. you're out campaigningCopy !req
144. for your father.Copy !req
145. I'm not campaigning,Copy !req
146. Mr. Lodge.Copy !req
147. I'm trying to findCopy !req
148. the Black Hood.Copy !req
149. It sounds insane,Copy !req
150. but I remember his eyes.Copy !req
151. So I'm goingCopy !req
152. house-to-house to...Copy !req
153. Stare into men's eyes?Copy !req
154. Well, that sounds like lookingCopy !req
155. for a needle in a haystack,Copy !req
156. but we don't even know if thatCopy !req
157. the needle is in the haystack.Copy !req
158. You said you wantedCopy !req
159. to make your bones.Copy !req
160. Is that still true?Copy !req
161. - Yes.Copy !req
162. - Well, then...Copy !req
163. Why don't you reformCopy !req
164. your Dark Circle?Copy !req
165. You'll want back-upCopy !req
166. should you identifyCopy !req
167. the Black Hood.Copy !req
168. Reggie and the guysCopy !req
169. are fired-up,Copy !req
170. Mr. Lodge, for sure,Copy !req
171. but I need focused lasers,Copy !req
172. not loose cannons.Copy !req
173. To help with that...Copy !req
174. A new Sheriff's taken overCopy !req
175. for Keller, Michael Minetta.Copy !req
176. A man I know very well.Copy !req
177. You could coordinateCopy !req
178. your efforts with him.Copy !req
179. - Really?Copy !req
180. - Yes.Copy !req
181. I'll arrange a meeting.Copy !req
182. But move fast, Archie.Copy !req
183. Every hour that passes,Copy !req
184. our killer could beCopy !req
185. planning his next attack.Copy !req
186. Any word from Chic?Copy !req
187. No. He hasn't calledCopy !req
188. since I took himCopy !req
189. to the bus station.Copy !req
190. So who knows?Copy !req
191. Maybe he's gone for good.Copy !req
192. Hey, the silver liningCopy !req
193. to all this Chic stuff overCopy !req
194. the last couple of weeks is...Copy !req
195. That's as badCopy !req
196. as it gets, Betty.Copy !req
197. It can't get worse,Copy !req
198. how could it?Copy !req
199. My dad could beCopy !req
200. the Black Hood.Copy !req
201. Yeah, okay.Copy !req
202. Well, that would be worse.Copy !req
203. Well, well, well...Copy !req
204. Aren't you boysCopy !req
205. a handsome assortmentCopy !req
206. of he-devils?Copy !req
207. Veronica, these youngCopy !req
208. men have come to payCopy !req
209. their respects.Copy !req
210. Oh, I know whyCopy !req
211. they're here, Mom.Copy !req
212. And while I'm dyingCopy !req
213. to hear proposals,Copy !req
214. I'm already late for school.Copy !req
215. But maybe I can squeezeCopy !req
216. you in tomorrow?Copy !req
217. Uh... Tomorrow?Copy !req
218. You do things your way,Copy !req
219. Mom, I do things mine.Copy !req
220. There's no one elseCopy !req
221. that I can talk to.Copy !req
222. No one elseCopy !req
223. who might understandCopy !req
224. what I'm going through.Copy !req
225. Dear cousin, you look harrowed.Copy !req
226. What is it?Copy !req
227. Cheryl, before you sawCopy !req
228. the video of your dad...Copy !req
229. - shooting Jason...Copy !req
230. Did you know thatCopy !req
231. he was the murderer?Copy !req
232. Subconsciously, yes.Copy !req
233. Why do you ask?Copy !req
234. I think there'sCopy !req
235. a chance that my dad...Copy !req
236. That somehow...Copy !req
237. He might beCopy !req
238. the Black Hood.Copy !req
239. Oh. Oh, Betty, I don't know.Copy !req
240. I've seen your paterCopy !req
241. sneak around Thistlehouse,Copy !req
242. and he has all the stealthCopy !req
243. of a marshmallow man.Copy !req
244. Wherefore comesCopy !req
245. this accusation?Copy !req
246. It's just intuition.Copy !req
247. Cheryl, I don't wantCopy !req
248. my dad to be a murderer.Copy !req
249. It would destroyCopy !req
250. our lives even more,Copy !req
251. but I don't know...Copy !req
252. I can feel it in my bones...Copy !req
253. If you're coming to meCopy !req
254. for advice, fine.Copy !req
255. Let's get you to the Po-Po.Copy !req
256. Maybe this new SheriffCopy !req
257. has half a brain—Copy !req
258. No. No. Not yet.Copy !req
259. I need to be sureCopy !req
260. before I involveCopy !req
261. anyone else.Copy !req
262. Also, I knowCopy !req
263. it's hard to explain,Copy !req
264. but if my dadCopy !req
265. is the Black Hood,Copy !req
266. I need to be the oneCopy !req
267. who confronts him,Copy !req
268. who stops him.Copy !req
269. In that case, absorbCopy !req
270. my hard-learned advice.Copy !req
271. You need concrete proof,Copy !req
272. or a confession,Copy !req
273. or both.Copy !req
274. First step? Buy yourself timeCopy !req
275. while you investigate.Copy !req
276. That means pretendingCopy !req
277. everything is normal.Copy !req
278. Yeah, well, luckily,Copy !req
279. that's my specialty.Copy !req
280. You're playingCopy !req
281. a very dangerousCopy !req
282. game, Betty Cooper.Copy !req
283. I don't think he wouldCopy !req
284. hurt his own daughter.Copy !req
285. And I never thoughtCopy !req
286. my dad would shootCopy !req
287. his son in the forehead,Copy !req
288. but that's the worldCopy !req
289. we live in.Copy !req
290. Tread carefully, cousin.Copy !req
291. You and FredCopy !req
292. are neck-and-neck,Copy !req
293. and with the townCopy !req
294. divided over our prison,Copy !req
295. this debate is—Copy !req
296. Is the single most importantCopy !req
297. event of the election.Copy !req
298. I know.Copy !req
299. I know, basta.Copy !req
300. We already controlCopy !req
301. the Sheriff's office,Copy !req
302. and The Register,Copy !req
303. but we needCopy !req
304. the Mayor's office as well,Copy !req
305. so the prison can't be blocked.Copy !req
306. I'm hoping Archie'sCopy !req
307. Dark Circle will cause unrest.Copy !req
308. After all, if Fred can'tCopy !req
309. control his own son,Copy !req
310. he certainly can't controlCopy !req
311. a town on the vergeCopy !req
312. of sliding into chaos.Copy !req
313. If what happened to MidgeCopy !req
314. taught us anything,Copy !req
315. it's that no one is safe,Copy !req
316. anywhere.Copy !req
317. This town needs us,Copy !req
318. it needs the Dark Circle.Copy !req
319. And this time, we'll haveCopy !req
320. the new Sheriff's support.Copy !req
321. - No offense, Kev.Copy !req
322. - None taken.Copy !req
323. Here to catch the guyCopy !req
324. who cost my dad his job.Copy !req
325. Guys, I...Copy !req
326. I gotta tell you something.Copy !req
327. The night of the show,Copy !req
328. Midge and I got into a fightCopy !req
329. backstage 'cause she admitted,Copy !req
330. she was seeing someone else,Copy !req
331. behind my back.Copy !req
332. - Who?Copy !req
333. - Who?Copy !req
334. She let it slip thatCopy !req
335. it was a Serpent.Copy !req
336. What?Copy !req
337. I knew it, I knew it,Copy !req
338. the second they setCopy !req
339. foot in this school!Copy !req
340. Moose, why didn't youCopy !req
341. say anything to us?Copy !req
342. Or my dad?Copy !req
343. I didn't want to look likeCopy !req
344. the jealous boyfriendCopy !req
345. and have people think that I...Copy !req
346. - We should talkCopy !req
347. to the new Sheriff—Copy !req
348. - Screw that!Copy !req
349. Some Serpent scumbagCopy !req
350. was doing Midge.Copy !req
351. We just gottaCopy !req
352. figure out which one.Copy !req
353. War BabyCopy !req
354. called my father and ICopy !req
355. from Shankshaw.Copy !req
356. Her old adversaries,Copy !req
357. the Ghoulies, haveCopy !req
358. been released.Copy !req
359. Word on the street is thatCopy !req
360. they want Serpent blood.Copy !req
361. They're gunningCopy !req
362. for are-match.Copy !req
363. They want war.Copy !req
364. Which one of you reptilesCopy !req
365. was screwing Midge Klump?Copy !req
366. What the hell is going on?Copy !req
367. This is a private meeting.Copy !req
368. I'm guessing it wasCopy !req
369. you, Sweet Pea.Copy !req
370. Reggie, that's enough.Copy !req
371. You ass, I didn'tCopy !req
372. even know Midge.Copy !req
373. But yeah, I get whyCopy !req
374. she wouldn't want fleasCopy !req
375. from you mangy Bulldogs!Copy !req
376. - Reggie, no!Copy !req
377. - Stop fighting now!Copy !req
378. So I've beenCopy !req
379. thinking.Copy !req
380. Dad, you've been so busyCopy !req
381. at The Register lately.Copy !req
382. Maybe Mom shouldCopy !req
383. go back to work.Copy !req
384. I mean,Copy !req
385. she's moderating the debate,Copy !req
386. why not report on it, as well?Copy !req
387. I supposeCopy !req
388. it's not a terrible idea.Copy !req
389. Yeah, and I could help, too,Copy !req
390. after schoolCopy !req
391. with proofing and layout.Copy !req
392. My two best girlsCopy !req
393. back at The Register?Copy !req
394. It's bad, Jones.Copy !req
395. It's really bad.Copy !req
396. So talk to me, Fangs.Copy !req
397. On the opening night of Carrie,Copy !req
398. when you were backstageCopy !req
399. filming your documentaryCopy !req
400. and you found me inCopy !req
401. Midge's dressing room...Copy !req
402. I wasn't justCopy !req
403. giving her notes...Copy !req
404. You were hooking up.Copy !req
405. And you didn't tellCopy !req
406. Sheriff Keller?Copy !req
407. Jeez, Fangs,Copy !req
408. do you know how guiltyCopy !req
409. this makes you look?Copy !req
410. I know! I know.Copy !req
411. Did you do it?Copy !req
412. Of course not.Copy !req
413. - You've gotCopy !req
414. to believe me, Jones!Copy !req
415. - I do!Copy !req
416. Can you deleteCopy !req
417. the footage offCopy !req
418. your camera?Copy !req
419. I already gaveCopy !req
420. the footage over toCopy !req
421. Sheriff Keller as evidence.Copy !req
422. What do I do, Jones?Copy !req
423. - Nothing.Copy !req
424. Lay low.Copy !req
425. Serpents got your back.Copy !req
426. I got your back.Copy !req
427. Okay.Copy !req
428. Canned meatCopy !req
429. isn't exactly sexy,Copy !req
430. but it's making a comeback.Copy !req
431. Tell your folksCopy !req
432. we should openCopy !req
433. a canneryCopy !req
434. in that maple syrup factoryCopy !req
435. I saw on the river.Copy !req
436. I only like my meatCopy !req
437. free-range and grass-fed.Copy !req
438. My family runsCopy !req
439. a five thousand-seatCopy !req
440. arena in Pacific City.Copy !req
441. They're looking to doCopy !req
442. the same here.Copy !req
443. Do you have a favorite boxer?Copy !req
444. Michelle RodriguezCopy !req
445. in Girlfight.Copy !req
446. My family owns a track.Copy !req
447. If you get your old manCopy !req
448. to invest with my old man,Copy !req
449. I'll name a horse after you.Copy !req
450. I want ships namedCopy !req
451. after me, not horses.Copy !req
452. We own and operateCopy !req
453. the largest chain of casinosCopy !req
454. in the region, Ms. Lodge.Copy !req
455. And we're lookingCopy !req
456. to expand.Copy !req
457. I'm not opposedCopy !req
458. to games of luck, Elio.Copy !req
459. But are your dice loaded?Copy !req
460. No. No needCopy !req
461. to be crooked.Copy !req
462. Or haven't you heard?Copy !req
463. The House always wins.Copy !req
464. Tell me more, Elio.Copy !req
465. And it's Veronica,Copy !req
466. not "Ms. Lodge."Copy !req
467. This isCopy !req
468. some pretty forcefulCopy !req
469. branding, Archie.Copy !req
470. Reggie madeCopy !req
471. those, not me.Copy !req
472. I need your Dark CircleCopy !req
473. to just lay off my Serpents.Copy !req
474. Even thoughCopy !req
475. they were technicallyCopy !req
476. right about something.Copy !req
477. What do you mean?Copy !req
478. One of my Serpents wasCopy !req
479. canoodling with Midge.Copy !req
480. But he didn't kill her.Copy !req
481. And I'm not gonnaCopy !req
482. give you his nameCopy !req
483. so please don't ask.Copy !req
484. But rest assured, none ofCopy !req
485. my crew is a middle-agedCopy !req
486. white guy with green eyes.Copy !req
487. - And that's who you'reCopy !req
488. still looking for, right?Copy !req
489. - Yeah.Copy !req
490. - I'll tell Reggie to lay off.Copy !req
491. - Thank you.Copy !req
492. In the meantime, I needCopy !req
493. to get back some possiblyCopy !req
494. incriminating footageCopy !req
495. from this new Sheriff.Copy !req
496. Have you met him yet?Copy !req
497. No. But do you mindCopy !req
498. if I tag along?Copy !req
499. Gentlemen...Copy !req
500. This is the young manCopy !req
501. I was telling you about,Copy !req
502. Archie Andrews.Copy !req
503. The one organizingCopy !req
504. the safety initiative.Copy !req
505. The Dark Circle.Copy !req
506. A man after my own heart.Copy !req
507. And this isCopy !req
508. the other one...Copy !req
509. The muckraker.Copy !req
510. - The trouble maker.Copy !req
511. You forgot iconoclast.Copy !req
512. I was wondering if I couldCopy !req
513. have a word aboutCopy !req
514. some documentary footageCopy !req
515. that I lent your predecessor?Copy !req
516. Sure. Let's chatCopy !req
517. in my office.Copy !req
518. Hmm. Archie, Archie,Copy !req
519. Archie, Archie...Copy !req
520. You said you wantedCopy !req
521. to introduce me toCopy !req
522. Sheriff Minetta, Mr. Lodge,Copy !req
523. so I took it uponCopy !req
524. myself to stop by.Copy !req
525. Well, since you haveCopy !req
526. so much free time,Copy !req
527. Veronica may haveCopy !req
528. mentioned thatCopy !req
529. she's entertainingCopy !req
530. a young man fromCopy !req
531. a prominent family tonight.Copy !req
532. I'm hoping thatCopy !req
533. you'll accompany them?Copy !req
534. Absolutely, Mr. Lodge.Copy !req
535. Out of allCopy !req
536. the offers on the table, Elio,Copy !req
537. yours inspired me the most.Copy !req
538. So what if our familiesCopy !req
539. were to partner up for say,Copy !req
540. "The Sweetwater Casino"?Copy !req
541. Nothing would makeCopy !req
542. my father happier.Copy !req
543. Perfection.Copy !req
544. Now, play nice, boys,Copy !req
545. while I go powder my nose.Copy !req
546. How'd you get inCopy !req
547. with the Lodges?Copy !req
548. I'm mostlyCopy !req
549. just with Veronica.Copy !req
550. My dad says you'reCopy !req
551. one of Hiram's capos,Copy !req
552. that you made your bonesCopy !req
553. taking care of Papa Poutine?Copy !req
554. No, that wasn't me.Copy !req
555. Word is, Papa Poutine'sCopy !req
556. son, Small Fry isCopy !req
557. looking for payback.Copy !req
558. No one in RiverdaleCopy !req
559. had anything to do with that.Copy !req
560. You sure you don'tCopy !req
561. want to take a breakCopy !req
562. and join us for dinner, honey?Copy !req
563. I'm not hungry right now.Copy !req
564. Will you get me a tomatoCopy !req
565. bisque for later though?Copy !req
566. And maybe,Copy !req
567. an Orange Freeze?Copy !req
568. Sounds great, Dad.Copy !req
569. I got intoCopy !req
570. my dad's planner.Copy !req
571. And cross-referenced the datesCopy !req
572. of every Black HoodCopy !req
573. attack with his schedule,Copy !req
574. and they all line up.Copy !req
575. Okay. "Worked late"Copy !req
576. the night Midge and MooseCopy !req
577. were attacked.Copy !req
578. "Early meeting"Copy !req
579. the morning Fred was shot.Copy !req
580. "Business trip" the nightCopy !req
581. Ms. Grundy was killed.Copy !req
582. Business trip to Greendale,Copy !req
583. no doubt.Copy !req
584. This isn't proof,Copy !req
585. but this is corroboration.Copy !req
586. Register.Copy !req
587. Mrs. Cooper,Copy !req
588. this is Dr. Curdle fromCopy !req
589. the coroner's office.Copy !req
590. How...Copy !req
591. How can I help you?Copy !req
592. I have a warm body for you.Copy !req
593. Unidentified male,Copy !req
594. mid-20s.Copy !req
595. His body turned upCopy !req
596. off the highway,Copy !req
597. just outside town, mutilated.Copy !req
598. Mrs. Cooper.Copy !req
599. Are you there?Copy !req
600. Yes.Copy !req
601. Yes, I'll come—Copy !req
602. I'll come by to see it.Copy !req
603. Thank you, Dr. Curdle.Copy !req
604. As always,Copy !req
605. small bills are preferable.Copy !req
606. - We have to go to the morgue.Copy !req
607. - Why?Copy !req
608. Another Black Hood victim?Copy !req
609. I sent the Black HoodCopy !req
610. after Chic.Copy !req
611. I gave Chic a head startCopy !req
612. and told him to run,Copy !req
613. but maybe he didn't make it.Copy !req
614. Sheriff Minetta wouldn'tCopy !req
615. give me back my footage.Copy !req
616. Says he wants to goCopy !req
617. through it frame by frame.Copy !req
618. It's only a matter of timeCopy !req
619. before he puts two and twoCopy !req
620. together and brings Fangs in.Copy !req
621. Damn it. Of allCopy !req
622. the girls in Riverdale High...Copy !req
623. What do I do?Copy !req
624. If Fangs runs,Copy !req
625. he looks guilty.Copy !req
626. If he's caughtCopy !req
627. withholding the truth,Copy !req
628. he'll look like the killer.Copy !req
629. It's a perfect storm.Copy !req
630. The Lodges endorsedCopy !req
631. this new Sheriff.Copy !req
632. They want Midge'sCopy !req
633. killer caughtCopy !req
634. and if it's a Southsider,Copy !req
635. so much the better.Copy !req
636. Then we hunker down...Copy !req
637. Get ready to fight.Copy !req
638. Dad?Copy !req
639. What are you still doing up?Copy !req
640. I got this note.Copy !req
641. Pinned to the front door.Copy !req
642. I can only assumeCopy !req
643. it's from our old pal,Copy !req
644. the Black Hood.Copy !req
645. It's clear what has to be done.Copy !req
646. We cancel the debate.Copy !req
647. Prank or not, it's notCopy !req
648. a risk we can take.Copy !req
649. I agree.Copy !req
650. Until the Black Hood's caught,Copy !req
651. we have to be careful.Copy !req
652. Can you beef up securityCopy !req
653. at the Town Hall?Copy !req
654. - Fred, honestly—Copy !req
655. - Dad, you can't be serious.Copy !req
656. We'll lock Town Hall downCopy !req
657. tighter than a steel drum.Copy !req
658. The town is scared.Copy !req
659. They need to be shownCopy !req
660. we can't be cowed.Copy !req
661. Well, if Fred's in,Copy !req
662. so are we.Copy !req
663. You're not the Mrs. CooperCopy !req
664. I was expecting.Copy !req
665. Yeah, well.Copy !req
666. My money's good just the same.Copy !req
667. This poor creature was foundCopy !req
668. in the men's room at the restCopy !req
669. stop outside of Greendale.Copy !req
670. Betty,Copy !req
671. it's okay, it wasn't Chic.Copy !req
672. But it could have been.Copy !req
673. Chic is probably out there,Copy !req
674. with a bulletCopy !req
675. in his forehead or—Copy !req
676. Or he got away,Copy !req
677. and he's on a trainCopy !req
678. back to Transylvania.Copy !req
679. I delivered himCopy !req
680. to the Black Hood, Cheryl.Copy !req
681. That makes me a murderer.Copy !req
682. I've been trying to proveCopy !req
683. that my dad's a killer,Copy !req
684. when really, all I haveCopy !req
685. to do was look in the mirror.Copy !req
686. Oh, God!Copy !req
687. He got what he wanted.Copy !req
688. We're the same.Copy !req
689. None of this isCopy !req
690. your fault, Betty.Copy !req
691. Part of meCopy !req
692. wanted to punishCopy !req
693. Chic for what he did.Copy !req
694. If Chic is dead,Copy !req
695. that's a psycho's doing,Copy !req
696. not yours.Copy !req
697. I don't knowCopy !req
698. how much longerCopy !req
699. I can keep goingCopy !req
700. before I snapCopy !req
701. and say something.Copy !req
702. I think you shouldCopy !req
703. say something.Copy !req
704. - I think you needCopy !req
705. to confront your fatherCopy !req
706. with as much ofCopy !req
707. the truth as you dare,Copy !req
708. and see how he reacts.Copy !req
709. I have somethingCopy !req
710. to confess.Copy !req
711. Well, what is it, honey?Copy !req
712. While the Black HoodCopy !req
713. was first hurting people...Copy !req
714. He was also calling me,Copy !req
715. asking me to do things.Copy !req
716. He said I was like him.Copy !req
717. He offered to helpCopy !req
718. me get rid of Chic.Copy !req
719. So I delivered ChicCopy !req
720. to the Black Hood.Copy !req
721. If he's dead,Copy !req
722. that makes meCopy !req
723. an accomplice to murder.Copy !req
724. And I think...Copy !req
725. I'm okay with that.Copy !req
726. The truth is,Copy !req
727. there's always beenCopy !req
728. this darkness inside of me...Copy !req
729. I thought Chic could help meCopy !req
730. understand it, but really...Copy !req
731. It was the Black Hood who did.Copy !req
732. Honey...Copy !req
733. I don't knowCopy !req
734. what to say.Copy !req
735. Betty...Copy !req
736. I experience it, too,Copy !req
737. the darkness.Copy !req
738. When I was awayCopy !req
739. from you and your mom,Copy !req
740. I felt like I wasCopy !req
741. drowning in it...Copy !req
742. It's why we need each other.Copy !req
743. - Jug, did you see it?Copy !req
744. - See what?Copy !req
745. Fangs was datingCopy !req
746. Midge and forgot to tellCopy !req
747. Sheriff Keller.Copy !req
748. Where'd youCopy !req
749. get this video?Copy !req
750. It was postedCopy !req
751. on The Register's website,Copy !req
752. somebody leaked it.Copy !req
753. - It makes FangsCopy !req
754. look guilty as sin.Copy !req
755. Attention, students.Copy !req
756. This is Principal Weatherbee.Copy !req
757. I need Fangs FogartyCopy !req
758. to come to my officeCopy !req
759. immediately.Copy !req
760. - Where is he?Copy !req
761. - I don't know.Copy !req
762. We have to find himCopy !req
763. before the Dark Circle does.Copy !req
764. What the hell?Copy !req
765. That video's everywhere!Copy !req
766. How did it get out?Copy !req
767. - We have to get youCopy !req
768. out of here, all right?Copy !req
769. - You're dead, Vixen killer!Copy !req
770. - This way...Copy !req
771. - Mr. Fogarty!Copy !req
772. - We need youCopy !req
773. to come with us.Copy !req
774. - I didn't do anything.Copy !req
775. - Grab him! Come on. Come on.Copy !req
776. - You don't have theCopy !req
777. right to detain him!Copy !req
778. I know todayCopy !req
779. is all about the debate,Copy !req
780. but I was curious.Copy !req
781. Did you getCopy !req
782. my proposal?Copy !req
783. About partneringCopy !req
784. with Elio's familyCopy !req
785. on a modestly-sized casino?Copy !req
786. I did, yes.Copy !req
787. But no businessCopy !req
788. Elio's family runs is legal.Copy !req
789. Their casinos are justCopy !req
790. fronts for numerousCopy !req
791. criminal activities.Copy !req
792. No, no, Daddy,Copy !req
793. Elio assured me—Copy !req
794. This partnership justCopy !req
795. doesn't make sense for us.Copy !req
796. Not now,Copy !req
797. not when we're on the vergeCopy !req
798. of coming out of the shadowsCopy !req
799. and into the light,Copy !req
800. ourselves.Copy !req
801. Surely, you understand that?Copy !req
802. You don't have to do that.Copy !req
803. There's a deputy out there.Copy !req
804. What if the deputy fallsCopy !req
805. asleep? And the Black HoodCopy !req
806. slips past him?Copy !req
807. - What if I can'tCopy !req
808. stop him again?Copy !req
809. - Again?Copy !req
810. - Look, Archie,Copy !req
811. what happened at Pop's—Copy !req
812. - Changed everything, Dad.Copy !req
813. I really thought you wereCopy !req
814. going to die, Dad. I felt...Copy !req
815. Helpless.Copy !req
816. Everything broke that day,Copy !req
817. and I've been trying to putCopy !req
818. it back together ever since.Copy !req
819. - First with the Red CircleCopy !req
820. and then—Copy !req
821. - Hiram Lodge.Copy !req
822. Is that whatCopy !req
823. this is about?Copy !req
824. You backing him?Copy !req
825. Working for him?Copy !req
826. He makes you feel...Copy !req
827. I just hate feelingCopy !req
828. like I can't do anything.Copy !req
829. I know you do, son.Copy !req
830. Especially when it seems likeCopy !req
831. the whole world is on fire.Copy !req
832. All right, War Dogs.Copy !req
833. Let's have some fun.Copy !req
834. Jug, what's up?Copy !req
835. You and your Dark CircleCopy !req
836. went wilding on the SouthsideCopy !req
837. last night, that's what's up!Copy !req
838. Wait, hold on.Copy !req
839. That... That's impossible.Copy !req
840. Unless it was someCopy !req
841. other vigilante groupCopy !req
842. in letterman jacketsCopy !req
843. who set a dumpster on fireCopy !req
844. and slashed our tires!Copy !req
845. Archie, Hog EyeCopy !req
846. saw you guys!Copy !req
847. Jug, I swear, I don't knowCopy !req
848. anything about this.Copy !req
849. I wasn't there.Copy !req
850. Jughead?Copy !req
851. - Attorney McCoy.Copy !req
852. - Where is he?Copy !req
853. You were inCopy !req
854. Midge Klump's dressing roomCopy !req
855. doing what, exactly?Copy !req
856. We were just talking.Copy !req
857. I didn't kill her.Copy !req
858. Didn't you?Copy !req
859. With this knifeCopy !req
860. you had on your person?Copy !req
861. Don't say another word.Copy !req
862. I'll be representingCopy !req
863. Mr. Fogarty from here on out,Copy !req
864. and I'd appreciate it,Copy !req
865. if you'd stop harassingCopy !req
866. my client.Copy !req
867. You're being heldCopy !req
868. because you were in possessionCopy !req
869. of a weapon on school property.Copy !req
870. - My switch-blade'sCopy !req
871. for protection.Copy !req
872. - Yes.Copy !req
873. Well, they have 24 hoursCopy !req
874. to make something stick.Copy !req
875. In the meantime,Copy !req
876. you exercise your rightCopy !req
877. to remain the hell silent.Copy !req
878. Have youCopy !req
879. guys lost your minds?Copy !req
880. Vandalizing the Southside?Copy !req
881. We were celebratingCopy !req
882. Fangs' arrest.Copy !req
883. That's not somethingCopy !req
884. to celebrate, you idiot!Copy !req
885. He didn't do it.Copy !req
886. Archie, he hadCopy !req
887. a knife on him.Copy !req
888. Okay, we're not havingCopy !req
889. this argument, you guys.Copy !req
890. - The Circle isCopy !req
891. officially disbanded.Copy !req
892. That's not your decisionCopy !req
893. to make, dude.Copy !req
894. You're not the one paying us.Copy !req
895. Hiram is.Copy !req
896. Wait...Copy !req
897. - Mr. Lodge is paying you?Copy !req
898. - Yeah.Copy !req
899. He's the one that suggestedCopy !req
900. we go outCopy !req
901. and have a little fun.Copy !req
902. Said you might'veCopy !req
903. started the Dark Circle,Copy !req
904. but it was mine now.Copy !req
905. Veronica,Copy !req
906. I'm afraid I've already takenCopy !req
907. on my pro bono caseCopy !req
908. for the week.Copy !req
909. That should coverCopy !req
910. an hour of legalCopy !req
911. advice, I hope.Copy !req
912. What can I doCopy !req
913. for you?Copy !req
914. Let's say someone wantedCopy !req
915. to open a casino in Riverdale.Copy !req
916. For starters,Copy !req
917. they'd need a gaming license.Copy !req
918. Which are difficultCopy !req
919. to obtain without...Copy !req
920. - Connections.Copy !req
921. Let's say oneCopy !req
922. wanted to do this,Copy !req
923. strictly above board.Copy !req
924. - Has he confessed yet?Copy !req
925. - No.Copy !req
926. But he said somethingCopy !req
927. about not being his best selfCopy !req
928. when my mom kicked him out.Copy !req
929. And it was just a hunch,Copy !req
930. but I got into hisCopy !req
931. credit card statementsCopy !req
932. and he's still making weeklyCopy !req
933. payments to the Share B & BCopy !req
934. he'd been renting evenCopy !req
935. though he's back at home.Copy !req
936. Do you thinkCopy !req
937. it's his serial killer lair?Copy !req
938. And please tell meCopy !req
939. we're breaking in.Copy !req
940. What are we looking for,Copy !req
941. exactly?Copy !req
942. Trophies from his victims?Copy !req
943. Or just anything unusualCopy !req
944. or incriminating.Copy !req
945. Betty?Copy !req
946. Does your father haveCopy !req
947. an affinity for kiddie lit,Copy !req
948. or would this beCopy !req
949. considered unusual?Copy !req
950. Cheryl...Copy !req
951. The Black HoodCopy !req
952. used this bookCopy !req
953. to write the cipher,Copy !req
954. the cipher thatCopy !req
955. only I could solve.Copy !req
956. My dad knewCopy !req
957. I was obsessed with this book,Copy !req
958. growing up.Copy !req
959. - Oh, my God! It's him.Copy !req
960. - Don't answer it.Copy !req
961. - Hi, Dad.Copy !req
962. - Betty, where are you?Copy !req
963. Um, I'm at Pop'sCopy !req
964. with Cheryl.Copy !req
965. Well, your mom and ICopy !req
966. are about to headCopy !req
967. to the debate.Copy !req
968. You want us to wait?Copy !req
969. Or pick you up?Copy !req
970. No, just go ahead.Copy !req
971. We'll meet you there.Copy !req
972. Daddy, I've doneCopy !req
973. a little research,Copy !req
974. and I've figured out howCopy !req
975. we can make the casinoCopy !req
976. happen withoutCopy !req
977. involving Elio's family.Copy !req
978. - And it's legal,Copy !req
979. like you asked.Copy !req
980. - I didn't ask.Copy !req
981. And we're momentsCopy !req
982. away from your mother's debate,Copy !req
983. so if can we table this?Copy !req
984. Welcome, one and all,Copy !req
985. to tonight's Mayoral Debate.Copy !req
986. Jumping right in.Copy !req
987. Fear and unrestCopy !req
988. rule the streets.Copy !req
989. Hermione Lodge,Copy !req
990. how would you restoreCopy !req
991. safety to the town?Copy !req
992. Well, we're alreadyCopy !req
993. making strides, Alice.Copy !req
994. My husband and ICopy !req
995. personally recruitedCopy !req
996. Sheriff MinettaCopy !req
997. from Centerville afterCopy !req
998. Tom Keller resigned.Copy !req
999. Not one week on the job,Copy !req
1000. and he's apprehendedCopy !req
1001. Midge Klump's murderer.Copy !req
1002. Fred? Rebuttal?Copy !req
1003. We don't knowCopy !req
1004. if he's the killer.Copy !req
1005. All I'm saying isCopy !req
1006. let's not call for bloodCopy !req
1007. until we've had a trial.Copy !req
1008. What does that sayCopy !req
1009. about us, about Riverdale?Copy !req
1010. You talk about notCopy !req
1011. calling for blood, Fred?Copy !req
1012. Are you awareCopy !req
1013. of a group calledCopy !req
1014. the Dark Circle?Copy !req
1015. - No, I'm not.Copy !req
1016. - Then let me enlighten you.Copy !req
1017. The Dark Circle isCopy !req
1018. a dangerous, radical groupCopy !req
1019. that traffics in terror,Copy !req
1020. violence, and street-warfare.Copy !req
1021. It's a group...Copy !req
1022. started by your son,Copy !req
1023. Archie.Copy !req
1024. Now I ask you,Copy !req
1025. Citizens of Riverdale...Copy !req
1026. How can we trustCopy !req
1027. a man to run a townCopy !req
1028. when he can't even keepCopy !req
1029. his own house in order?Copy !req
1030. Oh, my God!Copy !req
1031. It's the Black Hood!Copy !req
1032. Dad?Copy !req
1033. - Mom?Copy !req
1034. - Betty!Copy !req
1035. - Dad?Copy !req
1036. - Are you hurt, son?Copy !req
1037. - No, are you okay?Copy !req
1038. Excuse me.Copy !req
1039. Thank you.Copy !req
1040. I guess Sheriff Keller'sCopy !req
1041. not looking so badCopy !req
1042. right about now, huh?Copy !req
1043. There's a trapdoor leadingCopy !req
1044. from the balconyCopy !req
1045. to the roofCopy !req
1046. that's not on any buildingCopy !req
1047. plans. But I've got carsCopy !req
1048. all over downtown.Copy !req
1049. He's not gonna get far,Copy !req
1050. we'll catch him tonight.Copy !req
1051. Sheriff, if I may?Copy !req
1052. Archie's comeCopy !req
1053. face-to-face withCopy !req
1054. the Black Hood before,Copy !req
1055. looked him in the eyes.Copy !req
1056. Maybe he could helpCopy !req
1057. identify him.Copy !req
1058. You up forCopy !req
1059. a ride-along?Copy !req
1060. Actually,Copy !req
1061. I'm gonna head home,Copy !req
1062. stay with my dad.Copy !req
1063. Make sure he's safe there.Copy !req
1064. Yeah...Copy !req
1065. All right, then.Copy !req
1066. I just got offCopy !req
1067. the phone with Betty.Copy !req
1068. Apparently, the Black HoodCopy !req
1069. just turned the town hallCopy !req
1070. into his own shooting gallery,Copy !req
1071. while Fangs was right here.Copy !req
1072. So why is the SheriffCopy !req
1073. still holding him?Copy !req
1074. What happened tonightCopy !req
1075. and what happened to MidgeCopy !req
1076. - are being treatedCopy !req
1077. as separate incidents.Copy !req
