450. Who has done nothing
to deserve a reward.Copy !req

455. He says the two of them
ripped off his package.Copy !req
456. And that
justifies it?Copy !req
457. Are you saying
you'd be okay with thisCopy !req
458. If he'd waited 'till
after their honeymoon?Copy !req
459. Yeah!Copy !req
460. I believe in the
sanctity of marriage.Copy !req
461. It's a holy ritual,
a sacred bondCopy !req
462. Between a man,
a woman, and God.Copy !req
463. A marriage is when
a husband and wifeCopy !req
464. Live together
in the same house,
sleep in the same bed.Copy !req
465. Jefferson Keane
and whatever her name is—Copy !req
466. Mavis.Copy !req
467. They can't do that.Copy !req
468. Their marriage
would be a fraud,Copy !req
469. And I'm not gonna be
a party to it.Copy !req
470. Keane lives in "Em City",
it's my decision.Copy !req
471. That's true,Copy !req
472. But the lobby
is under my jurisdiction,Copy !req
473. And you try and bring in
that bride-to-beCopy !req
474. Through
the front door.Copy !req
475. They don't have a clue
what went down with Ortolani,Copy !req
476. So just chill
the fuck out.Copy !req
477. What about
the wiseguys?Copy !req
478. They stopped everything.Copy !req
479. No more drugs,
no more bets.Copy !req
480. Ain't nothing moving
in any directionCopy !req
481. 'till Nino Schibetta
gets satisfaction.Copy !req
482. ( McManus )
Jefferson!Copy !req
483. I spoke
to the warden.Copy !req
484. Yeah?Copy !req
485. He's not gonna give you
permission to get married.Copy !req
486. This is not to say that
he's not gonna change his mind,Copy !req
487. But I think
for now,Copy !req
488. We have to put this thing
on the back burner.Copy !req
489. We can't.Copy !req
490. Why?Copy !req
491. 'cause I'm gonna
lose her.Copy !req
492. If she loves you
as much as you say—Copy !req
493. You promised me,Copy !req
494. Now you're going back
on your fucking word.Copy !req
495. A man that can't keep his word
ain't shit with me.Copy !req
496. He ain't shit.Copy !req
497. I really appreciate
that you've come to me.Copy !req
498. It's just that
I love her so much.Copy !req
499. I'm sure you do.Copy !req
500. But, your desire
to marry her,Copy !req
501. That can't
come out of your ego.Copy !req
502. It can't come out
of a jealousy.Copy !req
503. It can't come out of a fear
that because you are in hereCopy !req
504. And you can't have her,
no man should.Copy !req
505. If you love her,Copy !req
506. You must be careful
that you do not deprive herCopy !req
507. Of the fullness
of life.Copy !req
508. No, man,
I wouldn't do that to her.Copy !req
509. Okay.Copy !req
510. Okay.Copy !req
511. Now you've told me
why you love Mavis, right?Copy !req
512. Now you explain to me
how you know she loves you.Copy !req
513. Just the
little things.Copy !req
514. It's like,
at my trial,Copy !req
515. She was there
every day.Copy !req
516. Just seeing herCopy !req
517. Made everything
so much easier for me.Copy !req
518. And her face—
I mean, her smile,Copy !req
519. It's like—Copy !req
520. Hell, I ain't got
the words like you.Copy !req
521. That's why I want you
to plead my case for me.Copy !req
522. I'll get you anything
you want up in here.Copy !req
523. You have
nothing I need.Copy !req
524. So what's that,
a no?Copy !req
525. I believe that
you love each other.Copy !req
526. But you gotta
take that love, brother,Copy !req
527. And you gotta trust
in the will of Allah.Copy !req
528. Yo, my girl
is pregnant.Copy !req
529. I screwed her,Copy !req
530. Now Allah's
screwing me.Copy !req
531. I decided to let
Jefferson Keane get married.Copy !req
532. Because?Copy !req
533. Kareem said
came to see me.Copy !req
534. Wait a minute,
wait a minute.Copy !req
535. I come to you
on Keane's behalf,Copy !req
536. You blow me off
in a cloud of platitudes.Copy !req
537. Now Kareem Said says
God knows what to you,Copy !req
538. The clouds are parted,
the sun is shining.Copy !req
539. Do you realize
how this damagesCopy !req
540. My credibility
with the inmates?Copy !req
541. So I shouldn't let 'em
get marriedCopy !req
542. For the sake
of your credibility?Copy !req
543. That's right.Copy !req
544. How often does
a guy like saidCopy !req
545. Come to see us
to ask for a favor?Copy !req
546. Oh, I get it,
now he owes you.Copy !req
547. He's gonna help contain
the Ortolani situation.Copy !req
548. He's gonna help
slow down the drugs.Copy !req
549. Which means nothing.Copy !req
550. Why didn't
you tell meCopy !req
551. That Jefferson Keane's
girlfriend was pregnant?Copy !req
552. Because
I didn't know.Copy !req
553. He didn't
tell me that.Copy !req
554. So much for
your credibility.Copy !req
555. Man, this is
some bullshit.Copy !req
556. Jefferson,Copy !req
557. The warden was very
specific about how this
is going to work.Copy !req
558. So what's
this proxy shit?Copy !req
559. You'll be hereCopy !req
560. And your fianceCopy !req
561. Will be at
your local baptist church.Copy !req
562. You'll both be exchanging vows
at the same timeCopy !req
563. And each of you
will haveCopy !req
564. Someone standing in
for the other person.Copy !req
565. C'mon, father.Copy !req
566. Don't this seem
fucked up to you?Copy !req
567. Yes.Copy !req
568. Shut the fuck up.Copy !req
569. With the power
vested in me.Copy !req
570. I pronounce youCopy !req
571. Husband and wife.Copy !req
572. You're not gonna
kiss the bride?Copy !req
573. Kiss my ass.Copy !req
574. Congratulations, man.Copy !req
575. ( Hill )
for better
or for worse.Copy !req
576. Shit, it don't get
much worse than this.Copy !req
577. Yo, man...Copy !req
578. Got a letter
from Mavis.Copy !req
579. Hmm...Copy !req
580. It's the will
of Allah, brother.Copy !req
581. Asalaam alaikum.Copy !req
582. Asalaam alaikum.Copy !req
583. What are you
doing tonight?Copy !req
584. Huh?Copy !req
585. I was
thinking maybeCopy !req
586. You'd come over
to my house for dinner.Copy !req
587. So you sleep here
at the prison sometimes?Copy !req
588. I've been doing double shifts
and I live two hours away,Copy !req
589. So by the time
I get home,Copy !req
590. I gotta come back.Copy !req
591. Move closer.Copy !req
592. If I could, I wouldn't
have to do double shifts.Copy !req
593. I appreciate it, Leo.Copy !req
594. I can't.Copy !req
595. Too much work
to do, right?Copy !req
596. You can take a break
from saving the world.Copy !req
597. Even Jesus had supper.Copy !req
598. And right afterwards,
he was betrayed and crucified.Copy !req
599. I'll try not to
take that personally.Copy !req
600. You got a daughter,
if I remember.Copy !req
601. How does she feel about you
being gone for days on end?Copy !req
602. We live
with my mother.Copy !req
603. Between the two of them,
I get the crap beat out of meCopy !req
604. Every time I walk
through the door.Copy !req
605. C'mon,
get your coat.Copy !req
606. I can't,
I have a date.Copy !req
607. A date?Copy !req
608. Yeah.Copy !req
609. Oh.Copy !req
610. Is that so hard
to believe?Copy !req
611. Frankly, yes.Copy !req
612. I got a dick
like every other guy.Copy !req
613. You need to find a job
closer to home.Copy !req
614. There are no jobs.Copy !req
615. You think if the
chevy plant was hiring,Copy !req
616. I would chose to to come here
and baby-sit these piss-pots?Copy !req
617. I have no choice.Copy !req
618. I'm just like
these inmates,Copy !req
619. Trapped.Copy !req
620. Mcmanus,
get a wife.Copy !req
621. I had a wife.Copy !req
622. From what I hear,
you had a nightmare.Copy !req
623. You been
checking up on me?Copy !req
624. Dinner, tomorrow.Copy !req
625. Yeah, you bet.Copy !req
626. Have a nice date.Copy !req
627. God made sunsets
full of color.Copy !req
628. And God made racehorses
that run in a flash.Copy !req
629. God made the orange,
the apple and strawberries.Copy !req
630. But God's
greatest creationCopy !req
631. Is pussy.Copy !req
632. I don't mean to be
crude or nothing,Copy !req
633. But you can have
all the sunsets,Copy !req
634. Horses and
fruit there is.Copy !req
635. Just give me all
the pussy in the world.Copy !req
636. Fuck, I don't need
all the pussy.Copy !req
637. Just one a day,Copy !req
638. Every day.Copy !req
639. Down, down!Copy !req
640. Get down!Copy !req
641. Miguel Alvarez,Copy !req
642. I'm father
Ray Mukada.Copy !req
643. I'm one of
the prison chaplins.Copy !req
644. No shit.Copy !req
645. According to this file you're
about to become a father.Copy !req
646. You've got
a girlfriend, Maritza,Copy !req
647. She's an inmate
at parker women's?Copy !req
648. Yeah, we got
arrested together.Copy !req
649. Ain't that sweet?Copy !req
650. I can arrange for you
to be there for the birth.Copy !req
651. I don't give a shit
about shit like that.Copy !req
652. You'll probably
be paroled in two years.Copy !req
653. When you get out,Copy !req
654. You'll wanna be
a father to your kid.Copy !req
655. Is that right?Copy !req
656. See that guy
over there?Copy !req
657. That's my father.Copy !req
658. And up in some cell block
is my grandfather.Copy !req
659. So don't be giving
me none of your shit.Copy !req
660. I get it.Copy !req
661. You had a miserable
childhood, tough.Copy !req
662. But you're
still responsibleCopy !req
663. For bringing a new life
into this world.Copy !req
664. You are
responsible.Copy !req
665. The same way that
I'm responsible for you,Copy !req
666. For your soul.Copy !req
667. So get ready,
Miguel Alvarez,Copy !req
668. Because I'm gonna be
over your shoulder.Copy !req
669. Comprende,
mi amigo?Copy !req
670. Hey, Ray,
you wanted to know,Copy !req
671. I just
signed the papersCopy !req
672. Transferring Miguel Alvarez
to "Em City".Copy !req
673. Miguel Alvarez.Copy !req
674. Another shining exampleCopy !req
675. Of how well
the penal system works.Copy !req
676. Guy walks in
the front doorCopy !req
677. And he gets
stabbed in the chest?Copy !req
678. Not to mention the fact that
his father and grandfatherCopy !req
679. Are both
inmates here.Copy !req
680. Yeah, I know.Copy !req
681. Maybe I should talk
to them both about Miguel.Copy !req
682. The kid's about
to become a fatherCopy !req
683. And he refuses to accept
any responsibility for it.Copy !req
684. Well, the granddad,Copy !req
685. Ricardo Alvarez,Copy !req
686. Is in solitary.Copy !req
687. And having a conversation
with the father,Copy !req
688. Eduardo,Copy !req
689. Is gonna be tough.Copy !req
690. Why, he's...Copy !req
691. Belligerent?Copy !req
692. He has
no tongue.Copy !req
693. Senor Alvarez?
I'm Ray Mukada.Copy !req
694. I'm the—Copy !req
695. I know
who you are.Copy !req
696. I'd like to speak with you
about your grandson, Miguel.Copy !req
697. What about him?Copy !req
698. He's an inmate
here now.Copy !req
699. I heard.Copy !req
700. Maybe you also heard that
he's about to become a father.Copy !req
701. His girlfriend,
who he was arrested with,Copy !req
702. Is at
parker women's.Copy !req
703. And?Copy !req
704. I'm trying to get Miguel
to accept the responsibilityCopy !req
705. For raising
the child.Copy !req
706. Maybe you
can help me.Copy !req
707. Because I'm
his grandfather?Copy !req
708. I never even seen him.Copy !req
709. You were
a shitty father,Copy !req
710. Your son was
a shitty father.Copy !req
711. Don't you think it's time
we break the pattern?Copy !req
712. I was 18
when I was convicted.Copy !req
713. Eduardo was a baby.Copy !req
714. Next time I saw him,Copy !req
715. He was 18,Copy !req
716. And wearing the same
prison uniform I was.Copy !req
717. Then my son startedCopy !req
718. Mouthing off
at everybody hereCopy !req
719. And making fun
of people,Copy !req
720. Making threats.Copy !req
721. Then he started fucking around
with a Haitian.Copy !req
722. And one nightCopy !req
723. While Eduardo
was sleeping,Copy !req
724. The haitianCopy !req
725. Cut his tongue out.Copy !req
726. Yes, sir, I know,
I read the report.Copy !req
727. So you found
the HaitianCopy !req
728. And you cut
his heart out.Copy !req
729. Yeah.Copy !req
730. So what you're
telling me is thatCopy !req
731. You were being a
good father to Eduardo,Copy !req
732. When you carved up
the Haitian?Copy !req
733. Mm-hmm.Copy !req
734. If somebody
hurts your grandson,Copy !req
735. You won't be able
to do anything about it.Copy !req
736. At least
not that way.Copy !req
737. All I'm asking you
is to talk to the boy,Copy !req
738. Not for you,
not for him,Copy !req
739. But for the baby
that's about to be born.Copy !req
740. Your great
grandchild.Copy !req
741. What the fuck?Copy !req
742. C'mere.Copy !req
743. Who the fuck
are you?Copy !req
744. Come here!Copy !req
745. Okay.Copy !req
746. I'm here.Copy !req
747. Now what?Copy !req
748. You know who I am,
don't you?Copy !req
749. Yeah.Copy !req
750. Sex is
a mind fuck.Copy !req
751. A wad of jizz hits an egg
and bing-bamCopy !req
752. You're connected
to all these people.Copy !req
753. These strangers,Copy !req
754. Who maybe got
the same eyes as you,Copy !req
755. The same
sort of nose,Copy !req
756. Or maybe they
passed you some cellCopy !req
757. That makes you
drink or do drugs,Copy !req
758. Even if you
don't wanna,Copy !req
759. Even if it's
killing you.Copy !req
760. These gene things
are like the shacklesCopy !req
761. They put on us here.Copy !req
762. They're chains to keep us
from moving freely.Copy !req
763. You gotta be houdini
to get out of them.Copy !req
764. You gotta be
fucking houdini.Copy !req
765. Ortolani
committed suicide.Copy !req
766. How can he be tied down
in restraintsCopy !req
767. And set himself
on fire?Copy !req
768. That's impossible.Copy !req
769. Even so,
he committed suicide.Copy !req
770. What makes
you say that?Copy !req
771. God told me.Copy !req
772. God told you?Copy !req
773. God comes to visit me
every once in a while.Copy !req
774. Actually, he comes
more often then I'd like,Copy !req
775. But he's God.Copy !req
776. What can I say,
that I'm in the shower?Copy !req
777. He knows.Copy !req
778. We talking about
a burning bush here?Copy !req
779. No, it's more
like a strobe.Copy !req
780. A little too flashy,Copy !req
781. A little cheesy
for my taste.Copy !req
782. And God told you
Ortolani committed suicide.Copy !req
783. Well, that the kid
wanted to die,Copy !req
784. And consciously or "un",Copy !req
785. He set up the circumstances
where he'd be killed.Copy !req
786. God happen to
tell you who did it?Copy !req
787. No.Copy !req
788. I didn't think so.Copy !req
789. But he told me
to tell youCopy !req
790. To tell Nino Schibetta
not to seek revenge.Copy !req
791. Why didn't
you tell Schibetta?Copy !req
792. Just 'cause I talk to God
doesn't mean I'm crazy.Copy !req
793. How's your mother?Copy !req
794. Not good, poppa,
not good at all.Copy !req
795. Doctor says
she ain't got long.Copy !req
796. Who is this doctor?Copy !req
797. He's a specialist,Copy !req
798. The best.Copy !req
799. Is he jewish?Copy !req
800. I don't know.Copy !req
801. His name's
dr. Bednarek,Copy !req
802. Dr. Russo
recommended him.Copy !req
803. Get a jew.Copy !req
804. Hey...Copy !req
805. Don't.Copy !req
806. Okay.Copy !req
807. What else?Copy !req
808. Dino's funeral's
tomorrow.Copy !req
809. How are his parents
taking it?Copy !req
810. How do
you think?Copy !req
811. Paolo is philosophicalCopy !req
812. And maria
wants revenge.Copy !req
813. Yep.Copy !req
814. Tell her
she's got it.Copy !req
815. Okay.Copy !req
816. ( guard )
c'mon, Nino,
you know the drill.Copy !req
817. Prisoner #9-5-s-6-0-4,Copy !req
818. Nino Schibetta.Copy !req
819. Convicted
December 12th, '95,Copy !req
820. Two counts,
conspiracy to commit murder.Copy !req
821. Sentence,
120 years,Copy !req
822. Up for parole in 70.Copy !req
823. I'm gonna
arrange for youCopy !req
824. To visit your wife
in the hospital.Copy !req
825. That's very
considerate of you.Copy !req
826. But, forgive me,
I'm cynical by nature.Copy !req
827. Why are you being
so considerate to me?Copy !req
828. It's hard enough
her being this illCopy !req
829. Without you
being able to...Copy !req
830. Say goodbye?Copy !req
831. What do you
want from me?Copy !req
832. Your continued
patience.Copy !req
833. You're gonna find out
who killed Dino.Copy !req
834. And you're gonna
bring him to justice.Copy !req
835. Now you're
laughing at me.Copy !req
836. As I said,
I'm a cynical bastard.Copy !req
837. No one
wants a riot.Copy !req
838. True.Copy !req
839. I would like
to see my wife.Copy !req
840. Then we
have a deal.Copy !req
841. No.Copy !req
842. I know you're supposed to
be my sponsor and shit,Copy !req
843. Show me the ropes.Copy !req
844. I don't need any help,
alright?Copy !req
845. O'reily,
that's Irish, right?Copy !req
846. Yeah, you got
a problem with that?Copy !req
847. I run the
aryan brotherhood.Copy !req
848. And you're
doing a hell of a job.Copy !req
849. When we heard somebody
was transferring in
from the gen-pop,Copy !req
850. We all got
kind of curious,Copy !req
851. 'cause it doesn't
happen that often.Copy !req
852. I saw you being
all pal-sy with that hack.Copy !req
853. Yeah,
I'm much loved.Copy !req
854. Yeah,
you got friends.Copy !req
855. You got another friend
if you want.Copy !req
856. I'll see ya.Copy !req
857. Hey, by the way,Copy !req
858. Whose cell
was this beforehand?Copy !req
859. Dino Ortolani's.Copy !req
860. Mr. Schibetta
requests your company.Copy !req
861. Thank you
for coming.Copy !req
862. Sit.Copy !req
863. Dino Ortolani's death
has upset me very deeply.Copy !req
864. I am obviouslyCopy !req
865. Hoping to learn
who killed him,Copy !req
866. Especially in such
a hideous fashion.Copy !req
867. Has he gotta
be in here?Copy !req
868. ( Nick )
Joey.Copy !req
869. I know there was bad blood
between you and Dino.Copy !req
870. I didn't
burn him.Copy !req
871. I'm not accusing,
I'm extending my hand.Copy !req
872. Dino is dead.Copy !req
873. Nothing can
change that.Copy !req
874. But if you could seeCopy !req
875. A way to help us
find his murderer,Copy !req
876. I would show you
my appreciation,Copy !req
877. My forgivenessCopy !req
878. For your
past indiscretions.Copy !req
879. Honestly, I don't know
who offed Dino.Copy !req
880. And, with
no disrespect,Copy !req
881. I can't say I'm
unhappy about it.Copy !req
882. But your friendship
would mean a lot to me.Copy !req
883. So if I
hear anything,Copy !req
884. I'll come
to you first.Copy !req
885. That's all I ask.Copy !req
886. He knows.Copy !req
887. Schibetta ain't gonna rest
'till he knows who done it.Copy !req
888. You wanna be around
