1. Good. Stay there.Copy !req
2. Matt?Copy !req
3. No. I haven't seen him since last night.Copy !req
4. I'll let him know what's going on.
Meet you at the precinct.Copy !req
5. And don't let anyone
talk to Grotto until then.Copy !req
6. It was a normal evening
at Metro-GeneralCopy !req
7. when a lone gunman entered
and began firing into the crowd.Copy !req
8. Most of the patients are being moved
to other area hospitals.Copy !req
9. Investigators say...Copy !req
10. The building's clear.
Perp is not in the building.Copy !req
11. Standby to lift lockdown.
All units hold position.Copy !req
12. We have a report of shots fired earlier
on a rooftop up on 10th.Copy !req
13. - Yeah?
- I lost my keys!Copy !req
14. - Your kid locked you out?
- Yeah.Copy !req
15. You some kind of idiot?Copy !req
16. Yeah.Copy !req
17. Oh, shit.Copy !req
18. No, no, no, no, no.
No! Matt!Copy !req
19. Come on, Matt, wake up.Copy !req
20. You okay, Matt? Come on.Copy !req
21. Get up! Matt! Matt, come on!Copy !req
22. Wake up. Wake up!Copy !req
23. Come on!Copy !req
24. Matt, can you breathe?Copy !req
25. Matt. Can you get up?Copy !req
26. Hey, Foggy, can I get some aspirin?Copy !req
27. You sure you don't want an x-ray?
Maybe a psych eval?Copy !req
28. An aspirin's fine, buddy.Copy !req
29. You got shot in the head.
You're lucky you're not in the morgue.Copy !req
30. It was just a dumb mistake, man.Copy !req
31. - What?
- The gun on his ankle, I...Copy !req
32. I should've heard it, you know.
I should've felt it.Copy !req
33. Are you serious?Copy !req
34. Yeah, but he's fast,
this guy, Foggy, he's...Copy !req
35. He's trained.Copy !req
36. He's a lunatic, Matt.Copy !req
37. I went to the hospital.
I saw what he did.Copy !req
38. - Where's Karen?
- We've been through this.Copy !req
39. Oh, yeah, that's right.Copy !req
40. Yeah, you're sure...
you're sure she's okay?Copy !req
41. She got Grotto to the NYPD.Copy !req
42. We're gonna meet there,
make a deal with the DA.Copy !req
43. Thanks.Copy !req
44. Thanks, buddy.
I'm gonna put on some pants.Copy !req
45. - No.
- It's okay. I know we need to get going.Copy !req
46. "We" don't need to do anything.Copy !req
47. - Foggy, I don't wanna do this right now.
- Karen's safe,Copy !req
48. you're safe...Copy !req
49. and our client will be safe
within the hour.Copy !req
50. - It's all taken care of.
- Except the shooter.Copy !req
51. He's still walking the streets
of Hell's Kitchen.Copy !req
52. - He's the cops' problem now.
- He's gonna plow right through the cops.Copy !req
53. I know what you're doing.Copy !req
54. You saw what he did to the Irish,Copy !req
55. you didn't see what he did
to the Mexican Cartel.Copy !req
56. He hung them on meat hooks,
and he left them there to die.Copy !req
57. - You want another round.
- Blood is being shed, Foggy.Copy !req
58. And you've donated
more than your fair share to the cause.Copy !req
59. - I need to stop him.
- You need to get rest. Okay?Copy !req
60. And when you wake up,
you need to considerCopy !req
61. putting that thing back
in whatever wacko box it came from.Copy !req
62. Better yet...Copy !req
63. Let go.Copy !req
64. You first.Copy !req
65. I don't wanna do this again.Copy !req
66. Then don't.Copy !req
67. You know what would've happened
if someone caught us stumbling home?Copy !req
68. - You wearing that thing?
- I appreciate it, Foggy.Copy !req
69. - You taking care of me.
- You should.Copy !req
70. But when the cops
try to take this guy down,Copy !req
71. it's gonna be one hell of a fight,
lives are gonna be lost.Copy !req
72. This guy's not gonna go down easy.Copy !req
73. I need to help.Copy !req
74. You look like shit.Copy !req
75. Stay here. Get rest.Copy !req
76. We don't need people asking questions
we don't have answers to.Copy !req
77. I've covered for you enough as it is.Copy !req
78. And for now, let the NYPD
and the DA do their jobs.Copy !req
79. And trust me to do mine!Copy !req
80. Okay?Copy !req
81. That window bulletproof?Copy !req
82. Twenty cops outside that door.
You're safe.Copy !req
83. Where the hell are your boys?Copy !req
84. On their way.Copy !req
85. Place of birth?Copy !req
86. Queens.Copy !req
87. Relatives? Anyone we should place
into Witness Protection with you?Copy !req
88. No. I got no one.Copy !req
89. You don't seem rattled.Copy !req
90. A guy tries to blow your head off,
you ain't scared?Copy !req
91. I'm terrified.Copy !req
92. - Sorry. Are you okay?
- Yeah, yeah. Mmm.Copy !req
93. The paperwork's almost done
and Brett's gonna be in in a minute.Copy !req
94. Where's Murdock?Copy !req
95. He took a sick day.Copy !req
96. You told us the Irish were attacked
by a whole gang of guys.Copy !req
97. I'm pretty sure
the word you used was "army."Copy !req
98. You want to tell me
why I'm now hearingCopy !req
99. this is all being done by one man?Copy !req
100. - Look, I didn't know you guys were...
- Who does he work for?Copy !req
101. - I got no idea!
- Well, what do you know?Copy !req
102. I know he's a sociopath, that's what.Copy !req
103. I mean, yeah, fine...Copy !req
104. I heard the rumors, okay,
but I didn't think...Copy !req
105. I thought it was ridiculous, okay?Copy !req
106. Ten, 20 guys could be
mowed down at a time.Copy !req
107. And with precision?
You know, tactically.Copy !req
108. Every hit was like
some kind of SEAL Team 6.Copy !req
109. Then people started saying
it was one guy doing all that.Copy !req
110. One man?
I thought it was a ghost story.Copy !req
111. Some...Copy !req
112. campfire shit you tell freshies
to make 'em crap their pants.Copy !req
113. But now...Copy !req
114. You saw.Copy !req
115. That guy was the Grim Reaper.Copy !req
116. Mr. Grote, I'm Sergeant Mahoney.Copy !req
117. Got some clothes here for you.Copy !req
118. What? Am I arrested?Copy !req
119. Just protective custody
until we can figure out WITSEC.Copy !req
120. Why the peel?Copy !req
121. Or stay in the gown
with your ass hangin' out,Copy !req
122. - I don't care.
- Yeah.Copy !req
123. We pulled the security footage
from the hospital.Copy !req
124. - I got ten men going over it right now.
- Any leads?Copy !req
125. I was hoping you had something.Copy !req
126. Let's let him change. You two wanna
step outside with me for a sec?Copy !req
127. Now, the DA's office
is sending someone overCopy !req
128. to talk you through
Witness Protection options.Copy !req
129. - Today?
- Yeah, right now.Copy !req
130. And listen,
take whatever deal they offer, okay?Copy !req
131. You don't wanna mess with this psycho.Copy !req
132. So you do have a lead.Copy !req
133. I ever tell you what Clemons used to say?Copy !req
134. Gotta treat witnesses like mushrooms.Copy !req
135. Feed 'em shit, and keep 'em in the dark.Copy !req
136. That scum's on a need to know.Copy !req
137. So fill us in.
Who's bankrolling this guy?Copy !req
138. Who does he work for?Copy !req
139. The DA's office says
the shooter's independent.Copy !req
140. Vigilante type,
targeting different crime families.Copy !req
141. And not in a... a Daredevil way.
In a Death Wish way.Copy !req
142. - Holy shit.
- Yeah.Copy !req
143. Daredevil kicks ass, this whole city
cheers like we just won the World Series.Copy !req
144. But this guy?Copy !req
145. He does it, and the streets get bloody.Copy !req
146. Makes everybody stop and think twice
about the whole "hero" proposition.Copy !req
147. Well, what do you think?Copy !req
148. The whole force is split.Copy !req
149. Some cops want him off the street,Copy !req
150. others think he's making our jobs
a whole lot easier.Copy !req
151. But if you ask me,
it's only a matter of timeCopy !req
152. before the wrong person
gets caught in the crossfire.Copy !req
153. Yeah, you put it that way,
I guess copycats were inevitable.Copy !req
154. No, it's not the first, just the latest.Copy !req
155. Yeah, we call them "Devil Worshippers."Copy !req
156. Nutjobs inspired by
the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.Copy !req
157. Shit, most of 'em are just
ineffectual idiots, but this guy...Copy !req
158. all my years on the force,
I've never seen anything like him.Copy !req
159. Oh.Copy !req
160. Shit, it's not an assistant,
it's the actual DA.Copy !req
161. That's Reyes?Copy !req
162. In all her
defense-attorney-destroying glory.Copy !req
163. How do I look?Copy !req
164. Uh, semi-professional.Copy !req
165. - No, Foggy, I'm kidding. You'll be fine.
- Okay.Copy !req
166. Are they the ones that brought in Grote?Copy !req
167. Um, Franklin Nelson,
of Nelson and Murdock.Copy !req
168. This is my associate, Karen Page.Copy !req
169. Officers, I want you to prepare
Mr. Grote for transport.Copy !req
170. Excuse me,
but, transport where, exactly?Copy !req
171. Once he's in our custody,Copy !req
172. I want you to personally
handle all the arrangements.Copy !req
173. Just to put it out there,Copy !req
174. our client's already given us
a list of his conditions.Copy !req
175. Mr. Nelson, have you ever negotiated
a witness protection agreement?Copy !req
176. Well... speaking for my firm,Copy !req
177. I can attest that
we're all very fast learners.Copy !req
178. The District Attorney
appreciates your efforts,Copy !req
179. but our office will be
handling the case from here.Copy !req
180. Excuse me. Grotto is our client.Copy !req
181. And it would be in
Mr. Grote's best interestCopy !req
182. for you to recuse yourselvesCopy !req
183. so he can bring in a legal team
with more expertise.Copy !req
184. You mean someone
you can push around.Copy !req
185. We had enough expertise
to handle Wilson Fisk.Copy !req
186. I'll say this once, Mr. Nelson.Copy !req
187. If, God willing,
your firm doesn't collapseCopy !req
188. under the weight of the chickens
and the fruit basketsCopy !req
189. you've been collecting
from your indigent clientele,Copy !req
190. there will come a time
when you need to ask a favorCopy !req
191. of the District Attorney's office.Copy !req
192. And depending on how
this situation resolves,Copy !req
193. that favor will either be forthcoming
or permanently withheld.Copy !req
194. Am I making myself clear?Copy !req
195. Of course.Copy !req
196. Now...Copy !req
197. if we're through?Copy !req
198. I'm sorry. Just one sec.Copy !req
199. About that favor...Copy !req
200. you wouldn't happen to have the number
for the U.S. Attorney's office?Copy !req
201. Oh, never mind, I got it.Copy !req
202. Uh, U.S. Department of Justice...Copy !req
203. Office of Enforcement Operations.Copy !req
204. What the hell are you doing?Copy !req
205. Zealously protecting my client's rights.Copy !req
206. Local DA's don't have jurisdiction
over the witness protection program.Copy !req
207. That's solely determined by the
U.S. Attorney's office, a.k.a. the Feds,Copy !req
208. who are probably
just as douchey as you are,Copy !req
209. but at least they can
deliver on their promises...Copy !req
210. and their threats.Copy !req
211. Since this really isn't
working out between us,Copy !req
212. maybe I should just
deal with them directly.Copy !req
213. Kudos, by the way.
The cell service in here is awesome.Copy !req
214. Hang up.Copy !req
215. - Attorney General's office.
- One second.Copy !req
216. Yes, hi. Uh...
This is Franklin Nelson.Copy !req
217. - Spell it.
- Uh, yes, uh...Copy !req
218. - N-E-L...
- Hang up.Copy !req
219. What do you want?Copy !req
220. As I see it,
the District Attorney's officeCopy !req
221. would like to receive
credit for any arrestsCopy !req
222. that arise from Mr. Grote's testimony.Copy !req
223. And my client, on the other hand,
could definitely useCopy !req
224. the enthusiastic endorsement
of the New York DACopy !req
225. when entering in his witpro agreement.Copy !req
226. In either case, he'll be requiring
legal representation,Copy !req
227. which will be provided
by the law firm of Nelson and Murdock.Copy !req
228. To put it in layman's terms...Copy !req
229. cut the shit, lady.
You're dealing with us.Copy !req
230. Let's find out if their low-life client
is even worth it.Copy !req
231. Oh, Foggy...Copy !req
232. - that was amazing.
- That was just round one.Copy !req
233. I'll keep it simple.Copy !req
234. Give me a deal, put up a camera,Copy !req
235. I'll tell you everything
about those Irish pricks.Copy !req
236. Names, dates, their favorite titty-bars...Copy !req
237. That's not good enough.Copy !req
238. That's what he's got.Copy !req
239. Most of Mr. Grote's mob friends
are either dead or fleeing the country.Copy !req
240. If you want this office's endorsement,Copy !req
241. you'll have to give us someone
who's still breathing.Copy !req
242. What... So how does my client manage that?Copy !req
243. We would like Mr. Grote to wear a wire
to meet one of his old associates.Copy !req
244. Our files show your organization
has had dealings with one Edgar Brass.Copy !req
245. Brass. You're out of your goddamn mind!Copy !req
246. Grotto, calm down.Copy !req
247. - We need a second with our client.
- Fine.Copy !req
248. Who's Edgar Brass?Copy !req
249. Drug-dealing butcher
who's worse by a mile.Copy !req
250. They send me after him,
I'm as good as dead.Copy !req
251. I get it, I do,Copy !req
252. but chances are,
the Feds are gonna ask for the same thing.Copy !req
253. Why Grotto?Copy !req
254. Because we know your client
has worked with Brass before.Copy !req
255. You got an in.Copy !req
256. If he could get Brass to talk,Copy !req
257. he would be instrumental
in taking down a major drug ring.Copy !req
258. If I don't?Copy !req
259. Then you're free to walk away.Copy !req
260. But don't expect to get very far.Copy !req
261. Oh, God.Copy !req
262. What the hell is that?Copy !req
263. You could call it "work product."Copy !req
264. Morgue reports generated by the shooter
who attacked you in the hospital.Copy !req
265. And all of these people were...
were killed by the same man?Copy !req
266. He's tracking gangs to their home turfCopy !req
267. and taking them out
with military precision.Copy !req
268. But it doesn't stop there.Copy !req
269. What do you mean, "doesn't stop"?Copy !req
270. His targets aren't random,
Mr. Grote.Copy !req
271. He knows exactly who he wants to hit.Copy !req
272. And if any of his intended marks
are lucky enough to escape...Copy !req
273. Say they're off buying a sandwich,
or in bed with the flu...Copy !req
274. recuperating under an assumed nameCopy !req
275. at Metro-General...Copy !req
276. Sooner or later,
he gets to them, too.Copy !req
277. Jesus Christ.Copy !req
278. My office is offering you
a chance to save yourself.Copy !req
279. Whether you take it, is up to you.Copy !req
280. And your, uh... legal team.Copy !req
281. Reyes.Copy !req
282. And the police have
no idea who's doing this?Copy !req
283. It's an ongoing investigation.Copy !req
284. But our intelligence people
are close to completing a profile.Copy !req
285. A profile?Copy !req
286. - Even got a code name.
- Like what?Copy !req
287. - "Killdozer," or "Dumbass With A Gun"?
- Not quite.Copy !req
288. They're calling this one...Copy !req
289. "the Punisher."Copy !req
290. Check out the phone, man.
That's a brand new Ikea.Copy !req
291. Idiot.Copy !req
292. Oh, I suppose this is yours too?Copy !req
293. What do you care?Copy !req
294. A hundred in trade, come on, man.Copy !req
295. Go on, get the hell out of here.Copy !req
296. Go ahead.Copy !req
297. Shit.Copy !req
298. Do I know you?Copy !req
299. I need an NYPD mobile communications rig.Copy !req
300. One that gets
encrypted tactical frequencies.Copy !req
301. What do I look like, RadioShack?Copy !req
302. Anyway, dealing in this shit is illegal.Copy !req
303. Sure you're not a cop?
'Cause that's trouble I don't need.Copy !req
304. - Yeah...
- Whoa, whoa, whoa!Copy !req
305. I gotta ask, right?Copy !req
306. Just hold on.Copy !req
307. Yep.Copy !req
308. Straight outta
Officer McDipshit's dashboard.Copy !req
309. Gets your tactical bands,
surveillance feeds.Copy !req
310. Hell, it'll probably pick up
the mayor banging his boyfriend.Copy !req
311. It's a grand.Copy !req
312. We're talking about
a one-of-a-kind item.Copy !req
313. Video tape.Copy !req
314. Sure. What the hell.Copy !req
315. What about the double-barrel
under the counter?Copy !req
316. Hey, man, hold on.
Sure I can't get you anything else?Copy !req
317. You know, I got it all, man.Copy !req
318. Yeah, bondage...Copy !req
319. back-door, grannies,Copy !req
320. or maybe you're in the market
for something younger?Copy !req
321. She's barely 12.
Guaranteed.Copy !req
322. You like that, huh?Copy !req
323. For 100 bucks, she's all yours.Copy !req
324. That's my man.Copy !req
325. What the hell are you doin'?Copy !req
326. Hey, man, just take it easy.Copy !req
327. I'm just trying to make a buck!Copy !req
328. Thank you, Ms. Kwan.Copy !req
329. Yeah, and it shouldn't be
too much longer now.Copy !req
330. And yes, we very much
appreciate the kimchi.Copy !req
331. Okay. Bye.Copy !req
332. Anything else we've been ignoring?Copy !req
333. Uh, yeah. Um...Copy !req
334. There you go.Copy !req
335. Thank you.Copy !req
336. "Overdue."Copy !req
337. "Past due."Copy !req
338. "Final notice."Copy !req
339. Hey! "First notice." That's a win.Copy !req
340. Karen?Copy !req
341. What are you working on?Copy !req
342. - Um, the morgue reports.
- What?Copy !req
343. Uh, you know,
the stuff the DA showed us.Copy !req
344. I'm just running searches
on the names in the databases.Copy !req
345. Karen...Copy !req
346. I could have been
one of these people, Foggy.Copy !req
347. - He was after Grotto.
- I know.Copy !req
348. But how long can I tell myself
this is just bad luck?Copy !req
349. Fisk? And now this guy?Copy !req
350. I mean, what if I'm
drawing this stuff my way?Copy !req
351. You're not.
You're gonna be fine.Copy !req
352. - "Punisher" is just a nickname.
- Yeah, well, what if I deserve it?Copy !req
353. What are you talking about?Copy !req
354. Nothing. I just...Copy !req
355. None of this feels real, I guess.Copy !req
356. That asshole opened fire in a hospital.Copy !req
357. You're not the one
who deserves to be punished.Copy !req
358. And plus, you got away,
which kind of makes you awesome.Copy !req
359. I guess.Copy !req
360. Coffee?Copy !req
361. I'm buying.Copy !req
362. In that case, okay.Copy !req
363. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.Copy !req
364. I'm coming, I'm coming.Copy !req
365. Hey.Copy !req
366. Hey.Copy !req
367. Sorry, you startled me.Copy !req
368. I didn't mean to.Copy !req
369. - Come in.
- Uh, sure?Copy !req
370. Of course.Copy !req
371. Okay.Copy !req
372. I, uh... I heard what happened.Copy !req
373. Yeah, I'm fine.Copy !req
374. No, uh, actually, I'm...
I'm barely holding on.Copy !req
375. I really don't enjoy
being used for target practice.Copy !req
376. Come here.Copy !req
377. I'm glad you're okay.Copy !req
378. Me, too.Copy !req
379. How about you?Copy !req
380. Uh, me, yeah, I'm fine.Copy !req
381. Hair of the dog that bit you?Copy !req
382. It's, uh, it's not what it looks like.Copy !req
383. What does it look like?Copy !req
384. Sorry.
No, I don't mean to pry.Copy !req
385. - I just, I worry about you a little bit...
- No need. No need.Copy !req
386. - ... sometimes.
- Appreciate it.Copy !req
387. There's no need to worry.Copy !req
388. Yeah, you know that doesn't help, right?Copy !req
389. You denying that there's anything wrong.Copy !req
390. - Karen, let's not...
- No, I...Copy !req
391. How many times can I hear
that you fell down the stairs,Copy !req
392. - or you walked into a door?
- Well, you know, I'm blind.Copy !req
393. And you know that I'm not an idiot.Copy !req
394. Okay, um...Copy !req
395. Let's say this.Copy !req
396. When, or if, you ever feel like...Copy !req
397. you can tell me
what's really going on with you...Copy !req
398. I promise that I'm here.Copy !req
399. Is that a deal?Copy !req
400. That is a deal.Copy !req
401. Good.Copy !req
402. Now, what can you tell me about
the meeting with the DA?Copy !req
403. Yeah, um, it's...
Where to begin? Um...Copy !req
404. - Reyes showed up.
- Personally?Copy !req
405. - Uh, yeah.
- Any idea why?Copy !req
406. Well, uh, it wasn't to bask us
in the warmth of her personality,Copy !req
407. I can tell you that.Copy !req
408. Yeah, Reyes wouldn't buy a pack of gumCopy !req
409. if it didn't move her
political career forward.Copy !req
410. Well, she wants him on a wire.Copy !req
411. She's got him set up for a meeting
with some big fish in the mob named Brass.Copy !req
412. And are they gonna protect Grotto?Copy !req
413. Yeah. But he's scared shitless
over this psycho shooter, Matt,Copy !req
414. and I can't say that I blame him.Copy !req
415. Reyes even used it for leverage.
She called him "the Punisher."Copy !req
416. - What do they know about him?
- That he's very scary,Copy !req
417. but I could have told you that.Copy !req
418. So whatever they know about him downtown,
they're keeping it to themselves.Copy !req
419. All right, well, that's where we start.Copy !req
420. We need to put together a file,
a thorough one.Copy !req
421. Find out who this guy is,
what makes him tick.Copy !req
422. - Great.
- Yeah.Copy !req
423. Mm-hmm.Copy !req
424. You think, uh...
you think he's crazy?Copy !req
425. Uh, the Punisher? No.Copy !req
426. I think he was inevitable.Copy !req
427. Inevitable? How so?Copy !req
428. Maybe... maybe we created him.Copy !req
429. All of us.Copy !req
430. The moment that we let Daredevil,Copy !req
431. or the Devil of Hell's Kitchen,
or whatever it is...Copy !req
432. There's... there's no connection.Copy !req
433. Well, actually, I think
it's a pretty straight line, Matt.Copy !req
434. Daredevil practiced vigilante justice
in our backyardCopy !req
435. and we applauded him for it.Copy !req
436. I know that I did.Copy !req
437. And we never stopped to think
that maybe...Copy !req
438. his actions could open the door
for men like this.Copy !req
439. Men... men with guns.Copy !req
440. Men who think that the law
belongs to them.Copy !req
441. There... there's a difference.Copy !req
442. - Well, I don't see it. Not anymore.
- Yeah, well...Copy !req
443. Daredevil never killed anyone.Copy !req
444. Well, not that we know of.Copy !req
445. There's something about this cityCopy !req
446. that makes good people want to
shoot their way out of bad situations.Copy !req
447. You think this "Punisher"
could be a good person?Copy !req
448. No.Copy !req
449. No, I'm just saying...Copy !req
450. he could be any one of us.Copy !req
451. I'm gonna get back to Foggy.Copy !req
452. - You know he hates prepping cases alone.
- Right.Copy !req
453. - Uh, if you need anything at all...
- No, I won't.Copy !req
454. - ... you just let us know, okay?
- Okay, thanks.Copy !req
455. Thank you for coming around.Copy !req
456. Wait, Matt, I, um...Copy !req
457. We care about you.Copy !req
458. You're worth keeping around.Copy !req
459. How far away was this guy when he hit you?Copy !req
460. Four or five feet. Why?Copy !req
461. He could've killed you.Copy !req
462. And one inch in either direction,
your face would be spaghetti.Copy !req
463. I mean, look at that shot placement.Copy !req
464. I got lucky.Copy !req
465. Yeah, maybe.Copy !req
466. Or maybe it was a warning shot.Copy !req
467. He could've finished you off, but didn't.Copy !req
468. Talk about getting your bell rung.Copy !req
469. Can you fix it or not?Copy !req
470. I promised Betsy I wouldn't
do anything illegal anymore.Copy !req
471. I'm not a criminal, Melvin.Copy !req
472. You don't have a badge, either.Copy !req
473. Look, the man who did this has
already killed dozens in Hell's Kitchen.Copy !req
474. How much longer before innocent people
start getting caught in his crossfire?Copy !req
475. Yeah?Copy !req
476. You sure he didn't follow you here?Copy !req
477. I would never allow that to happen.Copy !req
478. Okay, it's just you'd never allow yourself
to be shot in the head before.Copy !req
479. I gave you my word, Melvin.Copy !req
480. When I promised to protect
you and Betsy, remember?Copy !req
481. I remember.Copy !req
482. It's just I can't just fix this.Copy !req
483. Why not?Copy !req
484. You gotta understand, it's not just
the cracked part that's broken.Copy !req
485. The crack makes the whole thing fragile
like a bird egg.Copy !req
486. I gotta make you a new one.Copy !req
487. Okay, well, how long is that gonna take?Copy !req
488. I don't know, a couple days, maybe?Copy !req
489. If I don't sleep.Copy !req
490. What can you do for me tonight?Copy !req
491. I don't know. Reinforce the cracks.
Replace some of the padding.Copy !req
492. Yeah, good. Do it.Copy !req
493. Okay, but it won't keep you safe.Copy !req
494. I thought that's what you wanted me to do.Copy !req
495. We keep each other safe, don't we?
Isn't that our deal?Copy !req
496. Yeah, just do your best, Melvin. Okay?Copy !req
497. Are you sure you're ready to go out again?Copy !req
498. Do I look ready?Copy !req
499. Hey, boy.Copy !req
500. Good boy.Copy !req
501. Good boy.Copy !req
502. Jimmy and the boys
are unloading the trailer.Copy !req
503. We're breaking this down for parts.Copy !req
504. Come on.Copy !req
505. Hey... No, no, no!Copy !req
506. Don't! Don't!Copy !req
507. Reyes. Are we in position? Over.Copy !req
508. Eyes on Brass. He's moving.Copy !req
509. He's moving northeast
to the warehouse.Copy !req
510. - How far out?
- Five minutes.Copy !req
511. Sending in Grote in five.Copy !req
512. This is the frigging wire
you want me to wear?Copy !req
513. Why don't I just carry
a video camera with meCopy !req
514. and a guy with a boom mic?Copy !req
515. Relax, Grotto, you'll be fine.Copy !req
516. Look, either you are
the luckiest man in Hell's Kitchen,Copy !req
517. or someone up there thinks
you're worth saving.Copy !req
518. - I really hope that's true.
- We're all set on our end.Copy !req
519. Well, good for you, lady.Copy !req
520. Me? I got some serious
reservations about this shit.Copy !req
521. Should I be concerned?Copy !req
522. All we need is for Brass to admit
he's dealing drugs again.Copy !req
523. Okay, he doesn't have to say where,
he doesn't have to say to who.Copy !req
524. Just get him to confirm it. All right?Copy !req
525. Don't make it the first question.
Don't even make it the second one.Copy !req
526. Get there organically.Copy !req
527. You'll be in and out before you know it.Copy !req
528. - He's got no reason not to trust you.
- No?Copy !req
529. Look at this thing.Copy !req
530. It's like an eight-track player
around my neck.Copy !req
531. You came to us for a deal, Grotto.Copy !req
532. You wanna walk, walk.
We can always find someone else.Copy !req
533. After recent events,
we've got plenty of exciting prospects.Copy !req
534. Lots of low-lives are looking to
get out of the crime business for good.Copy !req
535. - I don't doubt that.
- Good.Copy !req
536. You know where we stand then.Copy !req
537. Maybe you should do
some counseling, Counselor.Copy !req
538. Hopefully before I change my mind.Copy !req
539. This is not a deal you walk away from.Copy !req
540. Not alive, no.Copy !req
541. You get them BrassCopy !req
542. and they get you away
from the psychopath hunting you.Copy !req
543. It ain't just him.Copy !req
544. What if it's Brass puts a bullet in me?Copy !req
545. What if the Irish got wind I'm doing this?Copy !req
546. They didn't.Copy !req
547. When Fisk went away,
so did a lot of corrupt cops.Copy !req
548. No one's palms
are getting greased anymore.Copy !req
549. We're getting you out. Clean.Copy !req
550. Yeah.Copy !req
551. Doesn't feel like getting out.
Feels like getting in.Copy !req
552. Deeper than before.Copy !req
553. No, you're not.Copy !req
554. Grotto, this is your second chance.Copy !req
555. Just don't say anything incriminating,
you'll be fine.Copy !req
556. - You serious? Is he serious?
- No.Copy !req
557. - Is that a concern?
- No, I'm kidding.Copy !req
558. You're covered.
That's why we're here.Copy !req
559. Just let the other guy
do all the talking...Copy !req
560. and you'll walk out of there alive.Copy !req
561. Fine.Copy !req
562. These are your orders
for witness protection.Copy !req
563. Golden ticket.Copy !req
564. It's, uh, legally binding until midnight.Copy !req
565. Upon which, if not executed, they turn
into the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.Copy !req
566. What?Copy !req
567. - Nothing.
- Let's go. It's time.Copy !req
568. Bet these assholes are
sending me to Florida.Copy !req
569. Actually, they are.Copy !req
570. Did I tell you I hate Florida?Copy !req
571. Only about a thousand times.Copy !req
572. Thank you.Copy !req
573. You're welcome.Copy !req
574. Kiss for good luck, sweetheart?Copy !req
575. I'll take it.Copy !req
576. Uh, so did you hear anything from Matt?Copy !req
577. Um, he said he's feeling a little better.
Uh, something about turning in early.Copy !req
578. Oh, that's good.Copy !req
579. Yeah. I'm sure he's fine.Copy !req
580. It's showtime.
Target's inside the perimeter.Copy !req
581. Target?Copy !req
582. Only an expression, Nelson.
Don't get your panties in a bunch.Copy !req
583. Stay with him.Copy !req
584. What the hell is he doing?Copy !req
585. Uh, from the look of the thing,
I'd say he's trying not to crap his pants.Copy !req
586. Yo, Brass!Copy !req
587. It's me, Grotto.Copy !req
588. Cut the spook act
and say something already!Copy !req
589. Shit, shit.Copy !req
590. Shit.Copy !req
591. You don't wanna deal, fine!Copy !req
592. Find someone else
stupid enough to buy H off you!Copy !req
593. Good one, asshole.Copy !req
594. Let's get this done.Copy !req
595. I got places I gotta be tonight.Copy !req
596. We lost visual.Copy !req
597. Mayday! Mayday! Mayday,
what do you call it? Abort!Copy !req
598. - Abort!
- I'm a cop, moron. Shut up.Copy !req
599. And sound.
I can't hear him anymore.Copy !req
600. Probably just interference from
the metal in the shipping crate.Copy !req
601. Most likely, ma'am.
We'll, uh, try adjusting the gain on it.Copy !req
602. Package is delivered.Copy !req
603. - What do you mean "package is delivered"?
- If I was you, I'd put that on.Copy !req
604. - What? Why? Why?
- Charlie one is now set.Copy !req
605. - Over.
- Roger that, Charlie one.Copy !req
606. Overwatch positions,
check in by the numbers.Copy !req
607. What exactly is an "overwatch position"?Copy !req
608. Let the police do their job.Copy !req
609. Charlie three is set.Copy !req
610. Clear fields of fire
in sectors one and five. Over.Copy !req
611. Charlie four is set.
Clear fields of...Copy !req
612. "Fields of fire"
doesn't sound like cop talk to me.Copy !req
613. That sounds like you're
planning an ambush.Copy !req
614. Really? You're using my client
as bait for the Punisher?Copy !req
615. Probably the first useful thing
your client's ever done in his life.Copy !req
616. Oh, I'm gonna have so much fun suing you.Copy !req
617. Whatever it is that you have
planned here for tonight, it ends now.Copy !req
618. We're getting Grotto out.Copy !req
619. We have a situation taking place
on Tac channel one, ma'am!Copy !req
620. Target is inbound.
Repeat, target is inbound.Copy !req
621. Take him out!Copy !req
622. Hold your fire! Move in!Copy !req
623. - Keep your bead!
- I'll go left!Copy !req
624. Hands in the air! Now!Copy !req
625. Shit! It's not him, it's a diversion.
Target's still out there!Copy !req
626. The bastard knew it was a trap.Copy !req
627. Shit.Copy !req
628. Grotto's getting away.
We have to go get him.Copy !req
629. No, you can't go out there.Copy !req
630. - Foggy!
- This place is about to become a war zone.Copy !req
631. - I don't care.
- I know it sucks,Copy !req
632. but the safest place to be
is in this room right now.Copy !req
633. What the hell is that?Copy !req
634. Status report.
What's going on out there?Copy !req
635. Target acquired.Copy !req
636. - You know what to do.
- Negative.Copy !req
637. We do not, I repeat,
we do not have a clean target.Copy !req
638. Shit!Copy !req
639. You know what to do.
Take the shot!Copy !req
640. - No.
- Ten-four.Copy !req
641. Take the shot.
Repeat, take the shot!Copy !req
642. We lost him!Copy !req
643. Foggy?Copy !req
644. Ground floor clear.Copy !req
645. They're gone. Repeat, they're gone.Copy !req
