1. Master Nobu.Copy !req
2. The necessary preparations have been made.Copy !req
3. It's ready for use,
should it come to that.Copy !req
4. And as per your orders,
we just obtained these.Copy !req
5. Twenty targets in total,
all in New York City.Copy !req
6. After years of searching...Copy !req
7. the fate of Black Sky is in our hands.Copy !req
8. Now this Daredevil is the only thing
that stands in our way.Copy !req
9. - I suggest you get to work.
- Which one would you like to hit?Copy !req
10. All of them.Copy !req
11. We need to lay low.Copy !req
12. They're gonna come for us.Copy !req
13. Bullshit. They'll come for her.
What is this?Copy !req
14. I'm sorry, old man, but I just can't
take chances with you anymore.Copy !req
15. You're naïve.Copy !req
16. She should be tied in this chair,
not me.Copy !req
17. She is not the problem.
They are.Copy !req
18. They're gonna turn this city upside down
looking for her, Matty.Copy !req
19. They'll watch it burn.Copy !req
20. That's why I said
we need to work together.Copy !req
21. There is no together.Copy !req
22. All these years, I tried to tame her.Copy !req
23. I should have let her bleed out
in the back of that car.Copy !req
24. You should have some damn gratitude.
She spared your life.Copy !req
25. The Black Sky cannot be controlled,
manipulated or transported.Copy !req
26. It must be extinguished at all costs.Copy !req
27. You wanna talk about being naïve?Copy !req
28. 'Cause right now you're tied to a chair...Copy !req
29. spouting rhetoric about an ancient war.Copy !req
30. Do you even have a plan?Copy !req
31. I'm working on it.Copy !req
32. Well, while you're working on it, son,Copy !req
33. do me a favor
and pull your head out of your ass.Copy !req
34. - The Black Sky...
- The Black Sky is bullshit, Stick.Copy !req
35. It's a myth.
No one believes it but you.Copy !req
36. Every assassin in the Hand believes it.Copy !req
37. What do you think
they're gonna do about it?Copy !req
38. What about what I believe, Stick?Copy !req
39. What about what I'm gonna do about it?Copy !req
40. Leave me alone, Matthew.Copy !req
41. Stick's downstairs.Copy !req
42. He's restrained.Copy !req
43. You know, whatever you're feeling,
it's gonna pass.Copy !req
44. What do you know
about what I'm feeling?Copy !req
45. Just...Copy !req
46. consider the possibility that
there is no such thing as a Black Sky.Copy !req
47. That it's... it's mysticism, you know?
It's nonsense.Copy !req
48. I've been trained to kill it
since I was a kid.Copy !req
49. Yeah, maybe everything
they taught you was a lie.Copy !req
50. Stick says I have a gift.Copy !req
51. The special kind,
the kind very few people have...Copy !req
52. "The kind very few people
have or deserve." I know.Copy !req
53. I got the same speech.Copy !req
54. Stick likes
his fortune-cookie wisdom, but...Copy !req
55. that's all he needed, 'cause he was
training children to fight a war.Copy !req
56. You can't deny it.Copy !req
57. Some of what the Hand does
defies explanation.Copy !req
58. Just because
I don't understand somethingCopy !req
59. doesn't mean I'm ready
to chalk it up as some fairy tale.Copy !req
60. True or not...Copy !req
61. the legend says
that once they have the Black SkyCopy !req
62. they'll be capable of anything.Copy !req
63. It's not about what I'm willing to do.Copy !req
64. Even in a cage I'll be their false idol.Copy !req
65. They'll do terrible things in my nameCopy !req
66. because they think the Black Sky
will make them invincible.Copy !req
67. Well, they can't have you.
You don't belong to anyone.Copy !req
68. And you may be smarter and strongerCopy !req
69. and more powerful
than anyone they've ever met...Copy !req
70. but like I keep saying,
they don't get to tell you who you are.Copy !req
71. Their organization
is older than most countries.Copy !req
72. They're powerful...
and they're everywhere.Copy !req
73. And they survived just like the Chaste...Copy !req
74. by staying in the shadows...Copy !req
75. by getting people to believe
wholeheartedly in their legend.Copy !req
76. But if we shine a light on them,
they'll scatter... all right?Copy !req
77. We can take them down.
Not Stick's way. We can do it our way.Copy !req
78. You would trust me...Copy !req
79. after all I've put you through?Copy !req
80. The Hand's ninjas
can mask their heartbeats...Copy !req
81. Yours is always loud and clear.Copy !req
82. I've been fighting this war my whole life.Copy !req
83. I've heard every story.Copy !req
84. Some people say
Nobu's lived three lifetimes.Copy !req
85. A criminal record that goes back decades.Copy !req
86. True or not, he's the head of the snake.Copy !req
87. But he's our best chance
of taking down the Hand.Copy !req
88. Then our job is simple.
We find Nobu. We extract him.Copy !req
89. We remove him from the Hand
without alerting his troops.Copy !req
90. Can't be that easy.Copy !req
91. Giving up is easy.Copy !req
92. You will kill him?Copy !req
93. No.Copy !req
94. That would make him a martyr.Copy !req
95. I wanna dethrone him.Copy !req
96. Defrock him and let him rot in a cell.Copy !req
97. Show this cult of his
that their holy man...Copy !req
98. isn't anything but a guy.Copy !req
99. - We'll have to find him first.
- Yeah.Copy !req
100. And I say we head
straight into the lion's den.Copy !req
101. The last thing they're expecting
is that we hit back at them now.Copy !req
102. You would risk everything for me?Copy !req
103. So how do we do this?Copy !req
104. Not alone.Copy !req
105. We do it together.Copy !req
106. Our firm represents
Hell's Kitchen's top clients.Copy !req
107. Of course, by accepting our offerCopy !req
108. you'll get a personal assistant,
a corner office,Copy !req
109. and the opportunity to branch out
and build your own client base.Copy !req
110. Your former associate, Ms. Marci Stahl,
recommends you very highly.Copy !req
111. And after reviewing
the infamous Punisher trial,Copy !req
112. I would be foolish not to invite
a talent like yourself onto our team.Copy !req
113. Hopefully, you'll find
our starting salary competitive.Copy !req
114. That's...Copy !req
115. one way to describe it.Copy !req
116. It gets better.Copy !req
117. How does "Hogarth, Chao,
Benowitz and Nelson" sound?Copy !req
118. Like a mouthful.Copy !req
119. A good mouthful.Copy !req
120. You think outside of the box,Copy !req
121. and that is exactly
what we're looking for.Copy !req
122. If the past few months are any indication,Copy !req
123. my firm is going to need
a very resourceful attorney.Copy !req
124. Someone like you...Copy !req
125. who's not afraid to take on riskier,
non-traditional cases.Copy !req
126. Cases involving vigilantes.Copy !req
127. Let's call them
"people with complexities."Copy !req
128. You have no idea.Copy !req
129. Try me.Copy !req
130. Yeah, I don't know about this.Copy !req
131. I made all this stuff to keep Betsy safe,
not just give it away.Copy !req
132. - You'll get it back, Melvin.
- Without a scratch.Copy !req
133. Promise.Copy !req
134. If you say so.Copy !req
135. Expecting trouble?Copy !req
136. - Yeah, a little bit.
- That figures.Copy !req
137. Well, it's a good thing you got company.Copy !req
138. Ah, before I forget.Copy !req
139. These are for you.Copy !req
140. Merry Christmas, huh?Copy !req
141. What is it?Copy !req
142. Billy club.Copy !req
143. Like the cops use, only, like,
a million times cooler.Copy !req
144. It's my own design.
Special steel fiber composite cable.Copy !req
145. Damn near indestructible.Copy !req
146. Check it out.
You can change the length.Copy !req
147. Here, play with it.Copy !req
148. - Where's mine?
- That's, uh...Copy !req
149. - It's a prototype. I only made one.
- Hey. Hey, don't mind her.Copy !req
150. So, check it out.Copy !req
151. You could use it as a grappling hook,
or, uh...Copy !req
152. close quarter combat.Copy !req
153. The possibilities are endless.
Here.Copy !req
154. Melvin, I... I don't know what to say.Copy !req
155. Don't say anything.Copy !req
156. I mean,
the papers might not report it, but...Copy !req
157. some of us in Hell's Kitchen,
we know who's really looking out for us.Copy !req
158. It's yours, man.Copy !req
159. How does it feel?Copy !req
160. Knowing that the kids you've trained
are going to fight your war for you...Copy !req
161. while you're sitting here?Copy !req
162. Biggest mistake of your life, child.Copy !req
163. Maybe.Copy !req
164. But it'll be my mistake,
because this is my life.Copy !req
165. All right, let's go.Copy !req
166. We'll hit the tunnels
and we'll spread out from...Copy !req
167. Foggy. Foggy. Foggy.Copy !req
168. Foggy.Copy !req
169. Foggy.Copy !req
170. - Will you take that?
- Foggy.Copy !req
171. - Yeah, I'll just be a sec.
- Foggy.Copy !req
172. - Foggy?
- Yeah.Copy !req
173. Sorry, man, it's not a good time.Copy !req
174. - I was afraid you'd say that.
- Are you at the police station?Copy !req
175. Brett says he's in deep shit
and needs legal counsel,Copy !req
176. so he was just desperate
enough to call me.Copy !req
177. I figured it was my problem
till I got down here,Copy !req
178. took a look at his face.Copy !req
179. Something went down.
He won't spill it,Copy !req
180. but he's been roughed up.
He says it was some gangbangers.Copy !req
181. But I've known him long enough
to tell when he's lying.Copy !req
182. - Why does he need a lawyer?
- They wanted files, Matt.Copy !req
183. Classified police stuff.Copy !req
184. All right, this...
It's gonna have to wait. I can't...Copy !req
185. Not just any files.
They were asking about you.Copy !req
186. And I'm not talking about Matt Murdock.Copy !req
187. - Uh, what did they want?
- I have no idea.Copy !req
188. But from the looks of him,
they wanted it pretty bad.Copy !req
189. He's helped us and Daredevil,
stuck his neck out when he didn't have to.Copy !req
190. - And now...
- Yeah, okay. I'm on it.Copy !req
191. - I'll be right down.
- Okay.Copy !req
192. You better be.Copy !req
193. So...
this is what it's come to, huh?Copy !req
194. The masked vigilante
is the only one I can trust.Copy !req
195. What happened?Copy !req
196. I knew it was just a matter of time
till you showed up... again.Copy !req
197. It'd be better if you just told me,
Detective.Copy !req
198. Not the first time
some asshole roughs me up.Copy !req
199. The job...
This shit ain't easy.Copy !req
200. But then they said
they got eyes on my mom.Copy !req
201. Said they were gonna kill her.
Even put her on the phone.Copy !req
202. Who?Copy !req
203. No idea.
Worked for someone big, though.Copy !req
204. Had real power behind those fists,
and I'm not talking muscles.Copy !req
205. They wanted everything we had on you.Copy !req
206. I don't imagine you have much.Copy !req
207. Well, it might surprise you to know that
we do keep track of two things real well.Copy !req
208. Records of people you put away...Copy !req
209. and incident reports.Copy !req
210. Records on everyone else.Copy !req
211. Everyone else?Copy !req
212. That's what they were after.Copy !req
213. They wanted to know
everyone you ever saved.Copy !req
214. Karen.Copy !req
215. Get your damn hands
off me, asshole!Copy !req
216. Hey.Copy !req
217. Any idea who these people are?Copy !req
218. No.Copy !req
219. Where'd they grab you?Copy !req
220. - Who gives a shit?
- Just tell me.Copy !req
221. 42nd and 9th.Copy !req
222. Wasn't doing nothing.
Taking a goddamn stroll.Copy !req
223. Supposed to be on house arrest.Copy !req
224. House arrest?Copy !req
225. You're being monitored?Copy !req
226. - What are you, my PO?
- Look, I'm trying to help here.Copy !req
227. Thank God.Copy !req
228. That means they know you're here.Copy !req
229. Mmm, I might have tampered with it a bit.Copy !req
230. - What?
- A boy's gotta get out once in a while,Copy !req
231. - you know what I mean?
- Put it on. Turn it back on.Copy !req
232. - And get shot by these assholes?
- No more talking.Copy !req
233. Do you want to stay alive or what?Copy !req
234. - What's your name?
- Karen Page.Copy !req
235. What's yours?Copy !req
236. You leave her alone!Copy !req
237. I was a POW in Laos.
This is a cakewalk.Copy !req
238. You and me!Copy !req
239. One on one.
Huh? Coward!Copy !req
240. - Coward!
- Hey! Look, look, look, look, look!Copy !req
241. He doesn't know what he's saying,
all right? He's scared.Copy !req
242. Not anymore.Copy !req
243. The next one to make a sound dies.Copy !req
244. Hey.Copy !req
245. Come on.Copy !req
246. Come on, come on.Copy !req
247. Come on.Copy !req
248. Come on.Copy !req
249. Come on.Copy !req
250. The people they took aren't the target.Copy !req
251. They're bait.
The Hand's trying to lure me in.Copy !req
252. It's me they want.Copy !req
253. - You're the only thing in their way.
- Those people are innocent.Copy !req
254. You can't just take the bait.Copy !req
255. I know, but I can't
just abandon them either.Copy !req
256. I know.Copy !req
257. We gotta get ahead of this thing
before any of them get hurt.Copy !req
258. Slow your breath.Copy !req
259. Focus.Copy !req
260. Okay. Focus.Copy !req
261. You'll find them.Copy !req
262. You'll find her, Matthew.Copy !req
263. I can't hear... hear anything!Copy !req
264. The electricity in this building
is too loud.Copy !req
265. - The city is pulsing like...
- Matthew, it's... it's your city.Copy !req
266. Calm it down.Copy !req
267. - Okay?
- Okay.Copy !req
268. Tune out everything that's not essential.Copy !req
269. Now...Copy !req
270. one at a time.Copy !req
271. Okay, go!Copy !req
272. Shit.Copy !req
273. Take care of it.
I'll tell him.Copy !req
274. What part of house arrest
do these assholes not understand?Copy !req
275. 10-13, officer down.
36th and 7th.Copy !req
276. They stuck him with a goddamn arrow!Copy !req
277. Copy that. 10-13.
Officer down. Backup on the way. Over.Copy !req
278. This is it.
There's police below.Copy !req
279. Two officers already dead.Copy !req
280. Fifteen, twenty hostages inside.Copy !req
281. Nobu's men?Copy !req
282. Yeah, they can hide their hearts, but...Copy !req
283. when there's this many of them,
they're buzzing like a beehive.Copy !req
284. - How many?
- I don't know.Copy !req
285. Could be an army.Copy !req
286. - Can you isolate Nobu?
- No.Copy !req
287. We can't move until we're sure he's here.Copy !req
288. We have to do something
before these people get hurt.Copy !req
289. I'm not here for them.Copy !req
290. I came to take down Nobu
and you said you'd help.Copy !req
291. I know, and I will, Elektra,
but right now, the people in that...Copy !req
292. They were used to draw us out.Copy !req
293. I'm sorry, Matthew,
but saving them wouldn't help us.Copy !req
294. There are 20 innocent people in there.Copy !req
295. If we go in there right now,
Nobu gets what he wants.Copy !req
296. You dead, me captured.
The Hand wins.Copy !req
297. I know it's harsh,Copy !req
298. but the people in there
are a drop in the oceanCopy !req
299. compared to what happens next
if Nobu gets hold of me.Copy !req
300. These people are in danger because of me.Copy !req
301. And I'll be damned
if I'm not getting them out.Copy !req
302. - It's the wrong play.
- It's the only play.Copy !req
303. You stay here.
I got work to do.Copy !req
304. It's gonna be fine.Copy !req
305. - Shit.
- No.Copy !req
306. Please, oh, no, please.
It's nothing!Copy !req
307. There's nothing there.
You don't have to look.Copy !req
308. It's a family heirloom. It's nothing.Copy !req
309. - It's okay. It's fine.
- No. Listen, calm down.Copy !req
310. It's nothing.Copy !req
311. It's nothing.Copy !req
312. There's a button, we can...Copy !req
313. Hold on.Copy !req
314. No. No! Get off me!Copy !req
315. - It wasn't my idea!
- You don't have to do that! Please!Copy !req
316. He'll turn it off!
Oh, my God!Copy !req
317. Out the door, take a right!Copy !req
318. Go!Copy !req
319. Go, go, go, go! Hurry!Copy !req
320. Here.Copy !req
321. You're okay?Copy !req
322. Better now.
Oh, God.Copy !req
323. - Go, go, go.
- No, no, no... wait, wait, wait.Copy !req
324. Keep going out the door.Copy !req
325. Wait, you okay?Copy !req
326. - Can you help her?
- Yeah.Copy !req
327. Okay. Come on.Copy !req
328. I got bored.Copy !req
329. The only way out is up.
Let's head to the roof.Copy !req
330. The Black Sky will be ours.Copy !req
331. Hold your fire!Copy !req
332. Hold your fire.Copy !req
333. Sarge, they have snipers
on all the entrances. We can't go in.Copy !req
334. Okay, well, hold your fire.Copy !req
335. Somebody's coming out.Copy !req
336. I said hold your fire.Copy !req
337. Oh, shit.Copy !req
338. Get EMS on scene now!Copy !req
339. These people are in shock.
Get 'em out of here and get 'em help.Copy !req
340. - Move!
- Brett?Copy !req
341. - Page?
- Yeah.Copy !req
342. Any shitstorm you're not a part of?
What's going on up there?Copy !req
343. These people are being used for bait.Copy !req
344. There's some kind of weird cult up there,
and they want Daredevil.Copy !req
345. We need those big lights!Copy !req
346. Light it up!
Hit 'em up there, there, and there!Copy !req
347. If something happens on that roof,
I wanna see it.Copy !req
348. Karen!Copy !req
349. Foggy?
What are you doing here?Copy !req
350. Jesus. Brett said there was
shit going down, but he didn't say this.Copy !req
351. - Yeah.
- I'm just glad you're okay.Copy !req
352. Thanks.
But I'm not the only one in danger.Copy !req
353. What's going on up there?Copy !req
354. I think it might be the end
of vigilantes in New York.Copy !req
355. Holy shit.Copy !req
356. I'm not gonna lie to you.Copy !req
357. There's a lot more coming.Copy !req
358. One thing's for sure.Copy !req
359. We're gonna die.Copy !req
360. Do you wanna end it here...
or on the roof?Copy !req
361. I've always liked the fresh air.Copy !req
362. What's up there?Copy !req
363. Oh, Jesus.Copy !req
364. Too many to count.Copy !req
365. Armed, packing katanas,
couple of longbows.Copy !req
366. More coming up from below.
Same weapons.Copy !req
367. I'd say we've got a couple of minutes
before they break through that door.Copy !req
368. Okay.Copy !req
369. Even if we survive...Copy !req
370. we may not see each other again.Copy !req
371. Okay, let's do it.Copy !req
372. Wait, wait. Wait for one second.
One second.Copy !req
373. So, what if...Copy !req
374. What if...Copy !req
375. from now on, if... if we make it...Copy !req
376. wherever you run, I...Copy !req
377. I run with you?Copy !req
378. You're not serious.Copy !req
379. I've never been more serious.Copy !req
380. This...
Elektra, this is a part of me that I need.Copy !req
381. And you're the only one who gets it.Copy !req
382. Without this, I'm not alive.
I'm not. Not really.Copy !req
383. And I know that now, thanks to you.Copy !req
384. I don't know what we are together,Copy !req
385. and if we have any chance in the future...Copy !req
386. I don't...Copy !req
387. But I... I do know that I'm free with you.Copy !req
388. Like with no one else.Copy !req
389. You hide from yourself.Copy !req
390. You don't let anyone in.Copy !req
391. You.Copy !req
392. I let you in.Copy !req
393. Think about it.Copy !req
394. What if this isn't the end?Copy !req
395. What if it's just the beginning?Copy !req
396. No.Copy !req
397. They'll find us.Copy !req
398. No, we'll keep moving.Copy !req
399. We'll change identities. We'll...
we'll hide. They'll never catch us.Copy !req
400. What do you say?Copy !req
401. Uh, I say...Copy !req
402. let's go to London.Copy !req
403. Yeah? Madrid.
Tunisia.Copy !req
404. There are sexy places to hide.Copy !req
405. Hey, I've never been further north
than 116th Street, so...Copy !req
406. Because you love New York.Copy !req
407. And I'd give my life for it, but...Copy !req
408. there's one thing in this world
that makes me feel more alive.Copy !req
409. And that's you.Copy !req
410. I'm the Black Sky, Matthew.Copy !req
411. Yeah, and I'm the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.Copy !req
412. The airport's just a cab fare away.Copy !req
413. All we gotta do is survive whatever's
waiting for us behind that door.Copy !req
414. Let's get out of here.Copy !req
415. Remember
they're trying to kill me, not you.Copy !req
416. Over my dead body.Copy !req
417. No one...Copy !req
418. escapes destiny.Copy !req
419. You belong to us.Copy !req
420. - And you...
- belong in the ground.Copy !req
421. You're done, Nobu.Copy !req
422. Your army will crumble.Copy !req
423. And you will leave my city alone.Copy !req
424. Your city belongs to no one.Copy !req
425. And she...Copy !req
426. belongs to us!Copy !req
427. No.Copy !req
428. No, Elektra.Copy !req
429. They have nothing now.Copy !req
430. I took it all away.Copy !req
431. It's okay. It's okay.
Try not to talk.Copy !req
432. I know... I know now...Copy !req
433. what it feels...Copy !req
434. to be good.Copy !req
435. Just relax.Copy !req
436. Try not to... try not to talk.Copy !req
437. Does it always hurt that much?Copy !req
438. Yeah.Copy !req
439. Yeah, it, uh...
it always hurts that much.Copy !req
440. This is not the end.Copy !req
441. Finish him.Copy !req
442. Get down. Get down.Copy !req
443. Don't move!
Everybody get down!Copy !req
444. Frank.Copy !req
445. See you around, Red.Copy !req
446. And this time, you piece of shit...Copy !req
447. stay down.Copy !req
448. I wanted to say a few words, but...Copy !req
449. I don't have any.Copy !req
450. God rest her soul.Copy !req
451. That should be enough.Copy !req
452. You know, once in college,
I brought her roses.Copy !req
453. She hates roses.Copy !req
454. You wanted her dead.Copy !req
455. Was it worth it?Copy !req
456. What?Copy !req
457. Loving her.Copy !req
458. You taught me
to cut all my ties to humanity...Copy !req
459. to other people.Copy !req
460. I had only a few moments with her...Copy !req
461. amidst all the...
noise, chaos, and the violence.Copy !req
462. We were together only for moments.
That was all.Copy !req
463. Orchids.Copy !req
464. She likes orchids.Copy !req
465. And, yeah, Stick... it was worth it.Copy !req
466. Matt, you are the toughest
son of a bitch I have ever met.Copy !req
467. Let's go home.Copy !req
468. Are you gonna be okay?Copy !req
469. I came to New York thinking there's no way
I could feel lonely in a city of millions.Copy !req
470. But you do.Copy !req
471. Somehow it makes it all worse.Copy !req
472. I used to love coming here...Copy !req
473. with you and Matt.Copy !req
474. Josie's actually felt like home.Copy !req
475. A home with... very sticky floors
and belligerent drunks, nightly.Copy !req
476. Right.Copy !req
477. And now, no Matt.Copy !req
478. No us.Copy !req
479. No Nelson, Murdock, Page.Copy !req
480. We may not be
working together anymore...Copy !req
481. but you're not alone, Karen.Copy !req
482. I'm still your friend...Copy !req
483. if you'll let me be.Copy !req
484. Yeah, you're not getting out
that easy, Nelson.Copy !req
485. You are stuck with me.Copy !req
486. Wouldn't have it any other way.Copy !req
487. You're gonna be all right.Copy !req
488. More than all right.Copy !req
489. - You're gonna come out on top.
- Thanks.Copy !req
490. How about you?Copy !req
491. Big job, hotshot,
corner office lawyer man.Copy !req
492. It could be exciting.Copy !req
493. - Yeah, you could be rich.
- Yeah, rich enough to stop drinkingCopy !req
494. the rotgut swill they serve here.Copy !req
495. Hey, Josie.Copy !req
496. About that long-running
Nelson-Murdock tab...Copy !req
497. - Yeah, yeah, I'll add it on.
- No.Copy !req
498. We're, uh... we're gonna settle up.Copy !req
499. Close us out, Josie.
We're done here.Copy !req
500. Karen Page, what the hell
are you still doing here?Copy !req
501. It's Christmas Eve.Copy !req
502. Shouldn't you be home celebrating
with all that family that you...Copy !req
503. can't stand, like everybody else?Copy !req
504. Oh, no, I'm sorry.
I must be projecting.Copy !req
505. I, uh...Copy !req
506. can't seem to stop
staring at a blank screen.Copy !req
507. - Writer's block.
- Mmm.Copy !req
508. There's a cure.Copy !req
509. - Scotch.
- That helps you write?Copy !req
510. Wow! No.Copy !req
511. No, it just...
helps me not care so much.Copy !req
512. Yeah, well,
that's definitely my problem.Copy !req
513. I care, probably too much,
about all of it.Copy !req
514. I don't even know
if I should start with...Copy !req
515. the hostage crisis, or Frank,
or vigilante justice...Copy !req
516. That's just... that's just garbage.Copy !req
517. - Well, it's news.
- No, it's not.Copy !req
518. Not anymore. I mean, all the facts
about that have been reported already.Copy !req
519. Look.Copy !req
520. If you... if you really wanna
torture yourself this holiday,Copy !req
521. go ahead, be my guest.Copy !req
522. But at least write something new.Copy !req
523. Something different.Copy !req
524. - Something that only you can write.
- Right. Which...Copy !req
525. which would be what?Copy !req
526. The truth.Copy !req
527. Your truth, Karen.Copy !req
528. All of it.
Everything that you've been through.Copy !req
529. Don't pull any punches.Copy !req
530. This is New York.
People think that they've seen everything.Copy !req
531. Prove 'em wrong.
Tell them something they don't know.Copy !req
532. Hell,
I'd read the shit out of that.Copy !req
533. Happy Hanukkah.Copy !req
534. - Scotch.
- Mmm, you know, just... just in case.Copy !req
535. I'll expect 2,000 words in my inbox
before Santa shows up.Copy !req
536. You got it, boss.Copy !req
537. Okay.Copy !req
538. "What is it, to be a hero?Copy !req
539. Look in the mirror and you'll know."Copy !req
540. "Look into your own eyes
and tell me you are not heroic,Copy !req
541. that you have not endured, or suffered...Copy !req
542. or lost the things you care about most.Copy !req
543. And yet, here you are...Copy !req
544. a survivor of Hell's Kitchen...Copy !req
545. the hottest place anyone's ever known.Copy !req
546. A place where cowards don't last long.Copy !req
547. So... you must be a hero.Copy !req
548. We all are.Copy !req
549. Some more than others,
but none of us alone.Copy !req
550. Some bloody their fists
trying to keep the Kitchen safe.Copy !req
551. Others bloody the streets
in the hope they can stop the tide,Copy !req
552. the crime, the cruelty...Copy !req
553. the disregard for human life
all around them.Copy !req
554. But this is Hell's Kitchen.Copy !req
555. Angel or devil, rich or poor,
young or old, you live here.Copy !req
556. You didn't choose this town.
It chose you.Copy !req
557. Because a hero isn't someone
who lives above us, keeping us safe.Copy !req
558. A hero is not a god or an idea.Copy !req
559. A hero lives here...Copy !req
560. on the street, among us, with us.Copy !req
561. Always here but rarely recognized.Copy !req
562. Look in the mirror
and see yourself for what you truly are.Copy !req
563. You're a New Yorker.Copy !req
564. You're a hero.Copy !req
565. This is your Hell's Kitchen.Copy !req
566. Welcome home."Copy !req
567. Thanks for meeting me.Copy !req
568. What am I doing here, Matt?Copy !req
569. I, uh...
I have something.Copy !req
570. - No, I don't want it.
- I have something...Copy !req
571. that I need you to see.Copy !req
572. I'm Daredevil.Copy !req
