506. No, I don't have a boyfriend.

507. I wasn't hooking up at Kara's.

508. Did you drink something there, maybe?

540. Just tell us, all right?

541. A ring like what?

542. A ring like my Uncle Neil wears.

543. I think it was him.

544. You think, or you know?

545. It was him.

546. My uncle Neil, he raped me.

547. Her own uncle?

548. No, that— that can't be.

549. Yes, it can.

550. her uncle, the dentist, of raping her?

551. Yeah, it was a pretty tough disclosure.

552. Her memory came back in pieces.

553. She didn't want to believe it.

554. I don't want to either.

555. Aside from consulting for us,

556. he's big on the charity circuit,

557. sets up dental clinics in third world countries.

558. Not to mention that he's testified

559. in dozens of cases.

560. If he's a rapist,

561. all those convictions come back into question.

562. Yeah, not to mention that.

563. (Benson) Jenna has no motive to lie.

564. I mean, sticking to the Jerome story

565. just helps her father.

566. She remembers his ring.

567. And the other details match a dentist's office,

568. including the Clonazepam.

569. This is why I don't trust dentists.

570. So what now?

571. The DNA on the sweater.

572. Find out why that's taking so long.

573. They should at least know if it's a familial match by now.

574. Well, good luck getting a sample

575. from Dr. Alexander without a warrant.

576. Once she tells her mother, mother tells him—

577. Hold them both here a while longer.

578. Have them look at mug shots, anything.

579. Find a pretext.

580. Amaro, Carisi, buddy up to Dr. Alexander.

581. Let him know that you're on Luke's side,

582. and get his DNA.

583. (Neil) Come on, I know what's going on.

584. They've ordered you guys to exonerate Jerome.

585. Well, you know, 1PP, right?

586. That extra P's for politics.

587. Which is why we want to make sure

588. the blame's placed where it belongs, on Jerome.

589. Okay, how can I help?

590. There's DNA under Jenna's fingernails that we can't match.

591. We're just trying to rule out friends, family.

592. Pretty much anyone who coughed, sneezed,

593. or so much as left a hair on Jenna that day.

594. And once they're cleared,

595. everyone will know it was Jerome.

596. And since Jenna was in my office that afternoon...

597. (Amaro) Exactly.

598. who was in the office while Jenna was here—

599. patients, hygienists, delivery men.

600. We'll need one from you, too, of course.

601. Of course.

602. Neil, Kerry in Exam 3 has been under a few minutes.

603. Sorry to interrupt.

604. No, no, come in, sweetie.

605. Detectives, this is my hygienist, Jiya.

606. She also happens to be my wife.

607. I'm gonna attend to this patient.

608. Jiya, can you get the detectives the patient list

609. from the day Jenna was in the office?

610. Right away.

611. Hey, Doc, before you go, though,

612. we really need you to—

613. Oh, yeah, my swab, sure.

614. Uh-huh.

615. - All good? - Yeah.

616. Perfect.

617. If you'll excuse me.

618. Let me get you that list.

619. Jenna's such a tragedy.

620. Luke too.

621. Well, how did Jenna seem

622. when she left the office that day?

623. She was fine.

624. A little quiet. Why?

625. (Carisi) Well, after she left,

626. she was— she was out of it.

627. This is a dentist's office,

628. so you guys have anti-anxiety drugs, right?

629. Yes, but we keep the bottles locked up.

630. Bottles, yeah.

631. But would you ever leave pills out in an exam room,

632. like when you're prepping a patient?

633. Oh, my gosh, it's possible.

634. I've known Jenna since she was a child,

635. but she's a teenager now.

636. Wife was quick to throw Jenna under the bus.

637. Implied she stole the meds.

638. Yeah, right?

639. She's protecting her husband.

640. She knows what's coming.

641. He raped his niece while his hygienist guarded the door?

642. The hygienist is also his wife.

643. Yeah, it's a small office.

644. Receptionist out front.

645. She's the only one in the back rooms.

646. Okay, so working theory.

647. Jiya gives Jenna the Clonazepam in the dentist chair,

648. then the nitrous.

649. She's so out of it

650. that she couldn't even process that she'd been raped.

651. But she was in pain afterwards,

652. so she does a few shots of vodka at her friend's house.

653. (Rollins) And that mixes with the meds.

654. She starts to lose it on her way home.

655. She staggers to the bathroom of Stars Pizza.

656. Jerome walks in, she panics.

657. (Benson) She's in denial

658. about being raped by her uncle,

659. and she puts the whole thing on Jerome.

660. Your working theory just became fact.

661. The dentist's DNA matches the semen

662. found on Jenna's sweater.

663. Hey, thanks for coming in.

664. We'll get right to it.

665. You're here because the DNA

666. found on Jenna's sweater

667. is a match to yours.

668. Well, she was in the office, and I was treating her.

669. So of course my DNA is on her.

670. Well, the DNA we found was semen.

671. I was afraid of this.

672. I can explain, but...

673. it gets a little awkward.

674. There's a reason for that match.

675. Well, we figured there had to be.

676. But it's got to stay in this room.

677. My wife and I had a few minutes of downtime

678. before Jenna came in,

679. and we sent the receptionist out for some coffees.

680. We had a little quickie in the chair.

681. Look, it's nothing I want my patients

682. to read about, obviously.

683. No, of course not.

684. - Okay. - Of course not.

685. The problem is,

686. your niece is coming around to saying you raped her.

687. - What? - Yeah.

688. That's impossible and horrifying.

689. You didn't know?

690. Your sister didn't tell you?

691. First of all, I would never touch my niece

692. or any patient, for that matter.

693. Well, she was sedated,

694. but she wasn't unconscious, so...

695. you saying she's lying?

696. Nitrous can cause hallucinations.

697. Jiya said she might have helped herself to some Clonazepam.

698. There was alcohol in her system.

699. All these things exacerbate confusion.

700. Yeah, we get all that.

701. But is there anything you might have done?

702. An accidental touch while you were

703. working very closely on her

704. that she may have misinterpreted.

705. - No! - Oh.

706. Whatever Jenna said is fantasy.

707. I mean, you guys think Jerome Jones

708. is a lawsuit waiting to happen, keep this up.

709. You'll all be getting deposed.

710. Anything else?

711. I have a practice to run.

712. I mean, he's right. The drugs, the booze—

713. there's a lot for his lawyer to work with.

714. If this guy really did rape his niece

715. while his wife was in the office...

716. Then this isn't his first time.

717. Full court press.

718. The next time Dr. Alexander comes through those doors,

719. he's gonna be wearing cuffs.

720. Tell me you found something.

721. Testimonials, awards,

722. a couple of bad reviews on Yelp.

723. That's it?

724. I found a lawsuit

725. that was filed, like, five years ago.

726. The records are sealed,

727. but I tried to speak with the attorney.

728. Obviously, she couldn't talk,

729. but hypothetically, it wasn't about bad dentistry.

730. Can we talk to the patient?

731. No, I mean, that was part of the settlement.

732. I don't know, I can try and see

733. if Barba can work around the confidentiality agreement.

734. I'll call him.

735. Keep digging, guys.

736. There's got to be others out there.

737. Sergeant Benson.

738. (Benson) Mrs. Davis. Jenna.

739. Is everything all right?

740. Jenna needs to tell you something.

741. I shouldn't have said it was Uncle Neil who did this.

742. Hold on... you shouldn't have said it,

743. but he did assault you.

744. My brother would never.

745. Tell them what the therapist said.

746. That I was confused.

747. The therapist said that trauma and drugs and alcohol

748. can really mess with short-term memory.

749. - You went to a therapist. (Marcy) Yes.

750. And she told Jenna that

751. what happened to her made her suggestible.

752. And when I left her alone with you,

753. That is not what happened, Mrs. Davis.

754. No? Have you even heard of false memory syndrome?

755. Of course we have.

756. But something this traumatic takes time to process.

757. Bits and pieces come back slowly.

758. You're framing Neil,

759. and you're using my daughter to do it.

760. Is that what he told you?

761. May I ask who referred you to this therapist?

762. - Was it your brother? - Don't twist this.

763. Mrs. Davis, I know this is difficult.

764. There is DNA evidence.

765. Your brother's semen was on Jenna's sweater.

766. He told me how it got there.

767. Did he tell you how it got inside of her sweater?

768. We're not listening anymore.

769. Jenna, tell them what you said was a lie.

770. I-I'm not accusing my uncle.

771. He would never do that to me.

772. Well, there goes that case.

773. Not so fast, Counselor.

774. We know what happened.

775. The mother's obviously pressuring her.

776. Any other vics come forward?

777. No, we just found the one lawsuit so far.

778. Get us a subpoena for his patient records.

779. We'll start talking to everyone he's worked on.

780. No, we do that, it's gonna play

781. right into his claim that NYPD has an agenda.

782. Hey, we could let the patients come to us.

783. Liv, you still friends with that reporter, Jimmy Mac?

784. We keep in touch.

785. I do owe him a drink.

786. Do not leak this to the press.

787. We all know that there are more victims out there.

788. Each one of them thinks that they're the only one.

789. Nobody will believe them.

790. As soon as they find out that it happened to others,

791. they'll come forward.

792. Throw a rock, watch the ripples.

793. I'm not hearing any of this.

794. (Neil) I was sickened by this morning's headline.

795. I've been a dentist for 20 years

796. without an accusation ever being made against me.

797. Except the ones you paid off.

798. (Neil) I chair a peer-review panel.

799. I consult with NYPD.

800. I run clinics for underprivileged youth

801. both here and abroad.

802. I would never harm a patient.

803. His wife's standing there by his side.

804. What's she gonna do?

805. He's her whole life.

806. She looks drugged.

807. Bet he does her high too.

808. Textbook somnophiliac.

809. Sleeping Beauty syndrome.

810. This guy gets off on passed out vics.

811. What the hell's the point of that?

812. They don't talk back.

813. Ugh.

814. (Neil) For standing by me during this ordeal.

815. (woman) This is an obvious ploy by the NYPD

816. to distract the public from the fact

817. that they had the rapist in custody,

818. released him upon political pressure.

819. - Mute that witch! - And failed to protect him.

820. "Demon Dentist Rapes Niece."

821. Although Jimmy Mac swore he'd leave the vic out of it.

822. And you believed him?

823. He's a reporter.

824. (woman on TV) We ask for privacy.

825. (Rollins) Okay, please hold.

826. Hey, Sergeant.

827. Either way, the ploy worked.

828. The phones have been ringing.

829. This is the fifth call since we got back.

830. This one says Dr. Neil drugged and raped her

831. back in dental school.

832. Okay, bring all of them in here now.

833. We got to wipe that smile

834. off that son of a bitch's face.

835. I woke up.

836. My clothes were on wrong.

837. A button was off.

838. You remember any details?

839. A sound?

840. I remember feeling the cold edge of his ring

841. as he slid his hands under my bra.

842. How old were you when this happened?

843. I was a freshman in college.

844. My—my roommate's mother gave me his name.

845. And he gave you a pill for anxiety?

846. No.

847. He drugged me.

848. I couldn't move.

849. And he was a friend of your father's.

850. And my mom's.

851. They still see him.

852. I told my little sister he's a perv.

853. So far, 11 victims have come forward.

854. All remember being raped or fondled

855. by Dr. Alexander

856. under sedation in the past 20 years.

857. Some of them even continued

858. to see him as a patient afterwards.

859. I can try to prosecute, but no corroborating evidence,

860. no outcry at the time.

861. You told me to find more victims.

862. I did. You have.

863. But these are all tough cases,

864. tough to prove,

865. and if Jenna and Marcy

866. aren't willing to testify,

867. my hands are tied.

868. So we'll talk to the father.

869. (Luke) No, no.

870. My wife and I talked about this already.

871. Jenna was just confused.

872. It's just—

873. that's not possible.

874. I mean, Neil's her uncle.

875. I mean, he paid for my lawyer.

876. He stood by me the whole time.

877. Stood by you or set you up?

878. He made sure that you knew Jerome was a suspect,

879. got you all riled up, right?

880. (Fin) Yeah, and he made sure Jenna never talked to us by herself.

881. No, he was just looking after her.

882. (Carisi) Oh, really?

883. Is that why he sent her to his therapist,

884. who convinced her, convinced your wife,

885. that she'd fantasized the whole attack?

886. He's known her since she was born.

887. She remembers the chair.

888. She remembers his ring.

889. You know your daughter's a good girl.

890. She has always told you truth.

891. (Fin) Listen.

892. We found his semen on her sweater.

893. Inside her sweater.

894. I have to go.

895. I have to get out of here.

896. I have to go.

897. You have to get me out of here.

898. I have to take care of this.

899. We're not gonna do that.

900. We need you to talk to your wife.

901. Can you do that?

902. Can you do that for Jenna?

903. (Marcy) My husband's on suicide watch at Rikers.

904. He really thought Jerome had raped Jenna.

905. Do you still think that?

906. No.

907. I've had three friends call me

908. since that article.

909. He groped two of their daughters.

910. The third, he may have raped.

911. I referred all of them to him.

912. Any of them willing to talk to us?

913. They won't put their girls through this.

914. What about Jenna?

915. I don't want to put her through this either.

916. So Jerome Jones dies,

917. your husband does hard time,

918. and your brother the rapist goes free.

919. Hard time?

920. Luke didn't know. Jenna's his little girl.

921. He just went crazy.

922. I understand.

923. I will talk to his lawyer about a plea.

924. But you need to talk to Jenna.

925. If she testifies, he'll break her.

926. Neil's too smart.

927. You can't catch him.

928. But your daughter can.

929. There's the doctor.

930. He's not smiling now.

931. I hope there's a good reason for this.

932. I shouldn't even be here.

933. (Jenna) I need to talk to you. - Okay.

934. (Jenna) Dad's in jail.

935. Mom's a mess.

936. That Jerome guy is dead.

937. I don't know what to do.

938. Jenna, first you accuse me and now this article.

939. You have ruined my life.

940. You ruined my life.

941. I know what you did to me.

942. I didn't do anything to you.

943. You were on drugs.

944. The therapist said that you're a teenage girl;

945. you're very suggestible.

946. He's not just gonna admit it.

947. - He's smart. - So is she.

948. (Jenna) Then how did your semen

949. get on the inside of my sweater, Uncle Neil?

950. How did that happen?

951. You raped me.

952. What am I doing here? What do you want?

953. I read in an article that there have been lawsuits

954. that you paid other people to keep quiet.

955. Well, I'm your uncle. We're family.

956. I will take care of you and your mother

957. while your father's in prison.

958. I will pay for his legal bills,

959. and you will stop this nonsense.

960. Is that understood?

961. - Okay. Yeah. - Okay.

962. - Damn. - Go on, Jenna. Tell him.

963. (Jenna) Wait, wait.

964. - One more thing. - Yeah?

965. I'm late. I think I might be pregnant.

966. You're not pregnant, Jenna.

967. No. I'm 16. I can't have a baby now.

968. Keep your voice down.

969. Keep your voice— sit down.

970. Okay?

971. You're not pregnant.

972. That's impossible.

973. I know that I'm pregnant. I wake up sick every morning—

974. Stop your whining!

975. I didn't get you pregnant.

976. I couldn't have. I've had a vasectomy.

977. Are we done here?

978. Oh, yeah. You're done now, pal.

979. Let's go.

980. So you did it.

981. You admitted you raped me.

982. It's not a big deal.

983. You're not so special, Jenna, okay?

984. I was a virgin.

985. Please.

986. I was a virgin.

987. Jeez—

988. Know what?

989. I've never met a bad man that wasn't afraid of a baby.

990. Works every time.

991. Neil Alexander, you're under arrest.

992. Mm-hmm. Yeah.

993. I want my lawyer.

994. - Jenna, are you okay? - Yeah.

995. You have the right to remain silent.

996. You did great, Jenna.

997. Jenna?

998. Are you okay?

999. Mom.

1000. He said he did it.

1001. I'm sorry.

1002. Oh, God, I'm so sorry.

1003. I'm sorry.

1004. Shh. It's okay. It's okay.

1005. It's okay.

1006. Shh, shh, shh.

1007. - You know you have nothing— - Shut up.

1008. Right? It's clearly me trying to calm down

1009. an obviously paranoid girl.

1010. So she's crazy?

1011. Just like the other 17 women who came forward?

1012. Hang on. Hold on.

1013. You son of a bitch!

1014. - Take it easy. - You son of a—

1015. My daughter? How could you?

1016. Jenna has issues, Marcy. She always has.

1017. I'm your sister!

1018. How could you do this to us? To your own family?

1019. Listen to me. Listen to me.

1020. This is not the time. Okay?

1021. This is not the time.

1022. Mom.

1023. It's okay.

1024. It's okay. Don't worry.

1025. It's okay.

1026. I should have let her get her hands on you.

1027. You raped her daughter,

1028. ripped her heart out with her husband going to jail

1029. for killing a guy that should have been you.

1030. Okay, you're hurting me. I'm a dentist. I need my hands.

1031. That's all you got to say?

1032. - That hurts? - Ahh!

1033. What hurts more?

1034. This or what you did to Jenna?

1035. Jerome's family and her family...

1036. both destroyed.

1037. You tell me how either one of them starts over.

1038. (Barba) You were right.

1039. Jerome didn't assault Jenna.

1040. He was trying to help her.

1041. That's what we said before.

1042. That's not news to us.

1043. The girl was raped by her uncle.

1044. He knew her father, Luke, had a temper.

1045. He worked him up to kidnap Jerome.

1046. Luke murdered my son.

1047. Her uncle is under arrest.

1048. He is being brought in now.

1049. He will pay the price,

1050. but Luke Davis was not trying to murder your son.

1051. We have footage of him attempting CPR.

1052. He wanted justice for his daughter.

1053. The way you want justice for Jerome.

1054. What are you saying?

1055. If I take this to trial

1056. for felony murder,

1057. a jury may let Luke go.

1058. If he pleads to manslaughter,

1059. he will do time.

1060. How much?

1061. He gets a deal and my innocent son is dead?

1062. Whose life matters to you?

1063. I'm so sorry for your loss.

1064. What happened to Jerome was horrible.

1065. I wish I could bring him back.

1066. But this is where we are.
