474. and dancing with you at prom in one night? That's...

475. Yeah, I'm here to make things interesting.

476. Hey, Van Der Woodsen, you want some?

477. Hey, Keith!

478. Surprised to see me?

479. Carol. Hey.

480. Wow. You, uh,

481. you look amazing.

482. Really? Even more amazing than in the video you won't give us?

483. Look, I'm sorry about that. I just, uh,

484. i couldn't think of any other way to get you to call me

485. so i could explain— you have a girlfriend. Nothing else to explain.

486. I just want the video.

487. Hey. Who is this?

488. Is she available?

489. Nah, man.

490. Nah, she, uh, she was just leaving.

491. No, i wasn't.

492. oh!

493. oh, is this the moment where you fall in love with me?

494. It is, isn't it?

495. You're totally falling in love with me right now.

496. Spare me, Keith!

497. This is low, even for you.

498. I can't believe you did this, Chuck.

499. You know how important prom is to me! Blair, what's wrong?

500. I caught him with these. They're all marked

501. with Nelly yuki's name. He's sabotaging me.

502. My missing corsage, my dress, the limo and hotel?

503. Our relationship's changed now.

504. You can pay me the balance in cash

505. or... i don't know...

506. What are you doing Saturday?

507. Gross. My sister would never sleep with you.

508. Yeah, 'cause she's dating me.

509. Shep, we're not dating. We were never dating.

510. Well, both of you don't know Carol very well,

511. 'cause, yeah, she totally slept with me.

512. Pretty fun, too.

513. and i broke it off as soon as i found out.

514. But what he wants to charge us?

515. Might as well be a million bucks.

516. And i know you probably think i should ask mom and dad

517. for the money, but...

518. Whatever. I'll think of something. It's fine.

519. No, Carol. It's not fine.

520. Hi. I'm Lily rhodes, and that's my sister,

521. and no one treats us this way.

522. Okay. We already called the cops, so...

523. You guys are trespassing.

524. It's cool, okay? We're done here.

525. Finally.

526. Take the trash back to the valley.

527. What did you just say? What did you just say?

528. Don't you have anything better to do,

529. like get your butt tattooed?

530. The only tattoo I'm getting tonight is your face on my fist.

531. Ladies, come on. No need to fight over me.

532. Okay. Okay.

533. How about we just fight you?

534. (Boy) I got him. Lily. Come on.

535. Where do you think you're going?

536. Carol!

537. - Aah!

538. Oh! Hey! Leave him alone! Aah!

539. Oh!

540. Students, if i could have your attention, please.

541. For the first time ever at constance,

542. our prom queen is...

543. I can't believe you're not even defending yourself.

544. Lie to my face! Blame someone! Something!

545. I'm sorry. Just one moment.

546. Seriously? I know how to count.

547. Our prom queen is...

548. Blair Waldorf.

549. But that's impossible!

550. Oh, my god. I won.

551. This is my moment.

552. I own prom.

553. And our king—

554. Nate Archibald.

555. Oh, my gosh!

556. This is so great!

557. Thank you!

558. Oh. Thanks.

559. Thank you, everyone.

560. Oh, i can't believe Blair won. Yeah, who even voted for her?

561. Me. About 150 times.

562. I wasn't putting the Nelly yuki ballots in.

563. I was taking them out. But what about what she said you did to her limo

564. and hotel and her corsage? Her new dress looks better without it.

565. Give this to her.

566. It's to the penthouse at the Plaza.

567. You didn't think you were the only one

568. who knew about the scrapbook, did you?

569. Chuck, I...

570. I can't believe I'm saying this, but...

571. That was really sweet.

572. I just wanted to make sure she had the perfect night.

573. Your 2009 king and queen!

574. Aw, who knew the mother-chucker

575. could also play fairy godmother?

576. But if c. Just made b.'S dreams come true,

577. why does it feel like

578. our queen is standing with the wrong king?

579. You can't use the one

580. you already have on file?

581. Wait. Let me at least fix my makeup.

582. Are you ready to do the workout?

583. Yeah! Beginner's workout. Stand with your feet a little more...

584. Jail?

585. You're in jail?

586. I'd leave you in there, teach you a lesson. You ran away.

587. Oh, Lily, the hopes and dreams i have for you—

588. an Ivy league education, life on the Upper East Side,

589. married to the richest man in Manhattan.

590. See, that's the thing, mom—

591. those are your hope and your dreams, not mine.

592. I need to figure out what— what i want, what i need.

593. Like a parole officer? I'm getting in the car.

594. You need to be far away from your sister's influence.

595. Why? What's wrong with Carol? The fact that she's independent?

596. That she thinks for herself? That she does what she wants

597. and not what other people tell her to do?

598. How about your spare me the heartache

599. and yourself the humiliation

600. and give up on this failed experiment in rebellion?

601. What if this is not an experiment?

602. What about if this is me growing up?

603. Enough soul searching. I'm calling your father's lawyer.

604. We need to keep this thing out of the papers.

605. Please, mom, i don't need a publicist.

606. I need my mother.

607. I'm trying to talk to you here, and you're not...

608. Hey, mom. Got a sec?

609. Carol.

610. This is your chance

611. to be a big sister

612. and finally offer some actual guidance to Lily, advice.

613. Her future's at stake.

614. Which is why she needs to be far away from you.

615. This is how it's going to be, mom.

616. Lily's staying with me for a while. - Carol, just be reasonable.

617. We both know the first time that she breaks a nail,

618. rides a city bus—

619. or god forbid—actually steps foot in a public school,

620. she'll come running home. Well, that's really up to Lily, now isn't it?

621. Just tell her to—to sit tight. I'm coming for her.

622. No, mom. You sit tight. She'll call you later.

623. Oh, goodness.

624. Mother. Mom.

625. Don't tell me you're chasing me out of town.

626. I'm fleeing as fast as i can.

627. Well, please stop. I'm not going to apologize,

628. but i love you, and i know you love me.

629. Well, of course i love you,

630. my daughters, my grandchildren.

631. My only motivation is love. On the contrary.

632. Your motives are quite suspect, selfish even.

633. And you haven't always done what's best for me.

634. Well, I've done the very best i could.

635. You think Serena's a handful?

636. I would rather have 20 Dan Humphreys from Brooklyn

637. instead of that boy you loved from the valley.

638. Well, you took care of that, didn't you?

639. And you ended up with Serena and Eric

640. and the life you deserve. It wasn't up to you to decide what kind of life i should have.

641. What else does it mean to be a mother

642. than to make sure that your child fulfills her destiny?

643. Well, i wanted to create my own destiny.

644. But that would have meant losing you,

645. Mother, please, I'm just asking you to stay.

646. You know, being a mother myself, I've made mistakes

647. that rival if not outshine your own.

648. And i forgive you.

649. Lucky me.

650. You throw me out of your home, and i get forgiven.

651. Mother, just say thank you and give me a hug.

652. I most certainly am not gonna thank you

653. for the terrible things you said.

654. And as far as the hug goes,

655. well, you've always done exactly as you pleased, haven't you?

656. Hey. You okay?

657. This is supposed to be the happiest day in high school.

658. So why do i feel so sad?

659. Like something's ending?

660. Well, something is ending—

661. high school.

662. Not just school.

663. You're my first love.

664. Going to my senior prom with you

665. is something I've wanted since i was 12 years old.

666. And here we are,

667. like it was meant to be.

668. Yes. This was supposed to happen.

669. I'm sure of it.

670. But now it has and—

671. why are you talking in the past tense?

672. We're still here.

673. I know.

674. But this night already feels like a memory.

675. Just hold me...

676. Until the song's over.

677. let's not waste these last moments talking about it.

678. Okay.

679. hey.

680. There you are.

681. Where's the prom king?

682. We broke up.

683. What?

684. But—but everything was so perfect.

685. It w—it was like a fairy tale.

686. It turns out fairy tales end when they do for a reason.

687. I really wanted to go to prom with my high school boyfriend.

688. And... now that i have...

689. He feels like your high school boyfriend.

690. I'm sorry.

691. Me, too—

692. that you almost missed prom

693. because your mother had you arrested...

694. And your quasi half-brother/ex-boyfriend

695. was your prom date.

696. You know, i actually had a lot of fun tonight.

697. Dan and i made up, and i know that whatever my mother did,

698. she—she did out of love.

699. And right now, i am with exactly who i want to be with—

700. my best friend.

701. So thank you.

702. Well, it's the least i can do

703. since i got you arrested and everything.

704. I didn't know you were such a brawler.

705. Neither did i.

706. I learned some things last night...

707. The biggest one being...

708. That I've really missed you.

709. You are high school to me—

710. all of the boyfriends

711. and mean girls and— and tests and teachers

712. and our crazy mothers...

713. We—we went through it together.

714. We raised each other.

715. You're my sister.

716. So where's your car?

717. How do you think i got you out of here?

718. You sold your car?

719. What are we gonna do? We're gonna walk?

720. Walking in L.A.? Wow, sis.

721. I have so much more to teach you. Come on.

722. It's us. We travel in style no matter how we travel.

723. shoulder pads may come and go, but a b.F.F. Is forever...

724. because even when you're not sure where you're headed,

725. it helps to know you're not going there alone.

726. No one has all the answers,

727. and sometimes the best we can do is just apologize

728. and let the past be the past.

729. other times, we need to look to the future

730. and know that even when we think we've seen it all,

731. life can still surprise us,

732. and we can still surprise ourselves.

733. X.O.X.O., gossip girl.
