1. God, it's cold. Gettin'
too damn old for this.Copy !req
2. Make sure that blast cap's on tight.Copy !req
3. It's not the blast cap I'm worried
about, it's my damn fingers.Copy !req
4. Stop your complaining. We fall behind
schedule, we violate our permit.Copy !req
5. Just a minute. Almost there.Copy !req
6. Zone one clear. Zone two clear.Copy !req
7. Zone three clear.Copy !req
8. Zone four clear.Copy !req
9. Got a squatter in zone five.Copy !req
10. Getting him out. After
that, we're clear here, too.Copy !req
11. Zone six clear.Copy !req
12. Okay, people. Building's
clean. Wrap it up and get out.Copy !req
13. We're go for demolition
in three minutes.Copy !req
14. T-minus three minutes.Copy !req
15. So what's up, man?Copy !req
16. Stateside diner, meatloaf sandwich?Copy !req
17. Thinking steak and eggs at cora'S.Copy !req
18. Well, we could always head
up route nine to parkview.Copy !req
19. - Sure.
- What?Copy !req
20. "What." The waitress. The
brunette. What's her name?Copy !req
21. Oh, marcie? No, I wasn't even— I was
thinking about the lean corned beef.Copy !req
22. Yeah, right, the lean
corned beef named marcie.Copy !req
23. Hold up.Copy !req
24. What's the matter?Copy !req
25. You okay?Copy !req
26. Dennis. What's the problem?Copy !req
27. Nothing. I don't know.Copy !req
28. - You swept it, right?
- Sure.Copy !req
29. I just...Copy !req
30. I don't know. All of a
sudden I got a weird feeling.Copy !req
31. Yeah? Me too. Mine's called, "I
don't wanna die looking at dennis."Copy !req
32. Come on, man.Copy !req
33. Hey, radio mike, will ya? Tell
him I wanna do another sweep.Copy !req
34. Come on, man, where you going?Copy !req
35. Dennis, they're holding
the countdown for us.Copy !req
36. Damn it! Come on.Copy !req
37. Where we going?Copy !req
38. I think we missed something.Copy !req
39. The plans show another room over here.Copy !req
40. Ahh, this doesn't make sense.Copy !req
41. Phil, you got dennis? What's going
on? We don't have a lot of time.Copy !req
42. Just two more minutes.
We'll be right out.Copy !req
43. - Do you hear that?
- What?Copy !req
44. Sounds hollow.Copy !req
45. Come on, man, this place
has been completely prepped.Copy !req
46. There's nothing underneath
there, just solid foundation.Copy !req
47. Does that sound solid to you?Copy !req
48. It's probably just frost damage.Copy !req
49. The—the
concrete's cracked.Copy !req
50. Mike, I think you should come down here.Copy !req
51. This was definitely not in the blueprints.Copy !req
52. God, what's that smell?Copy !req
53. What do you think this was?Copy !req
54. I don't know, but it's old.Copy !req
55. Well, good, that narrows it down.Copy !req
56. What the hell?Copy !req
57. Oh, my god.Copy !req

61. Ella?Copy !req
62. Mommy gets grumpy if
I wake her too early.Copy !req
63. She always did.Copy !req
64. Mm, come on.Copy !req
65. Well, do you want some... pancakes?Copy !req
66. - Yes.
- Yeah?Copy !req
67. Francis. Hey, jim. How are you, buddy?Copy !req
68. I saw that your mayor got himself
into a little bit of trouble.Copy !req
69. That couldn't have
been fun for you guys.Copy !req
70. When?Copy !req
71. Has anyone taken anything from
that fax in the last five minutes?
No, sir.Copy !req
72. I'll call you back.Copy !req
73. Ugh, liv, I'm sorry.Copy !req
74. I told her to let you sleep late.Copy !req
75. Oh, she did until 6:17.Copy !req
76. - Yup, that sounds late for her.
- Which one?Copy !req
77. Uh, the yellow one.Copy !req
78. - Aunt liv?
- Definitely the yellow.Copy !req
79. Did you tell her?Copy !req
80. Go get dressed.
OK.Copy !req
81. What?Copy !req
82. We went apartment hunting yesterday.Copy !req
83. Really? You're thinking
of moving to boston?Copy !req
84. Yeah, well, ella loves it
here, and so do I, so...Copy !req
85. Well, you know that you can stay
here for as long as you want.Copy !req
86. I know, but you don't need a little
creature waking you up at 6:17 every morning.Copy !req
87. If that little creature
is ella, I am fine with it.Copy !req
88. - Hello.
- It's me.Copy !req
89. The artist is back.Copy !req
90. How do you know? Did
we receive another fax?Copy !req
91. Yeah. Hartford office got one too.Copy !req
92. Well, did we get a trace?Copy !req
93. Sent from a copy store in allston.Copy !req
94. So I've got mason and louis headed
over to question the employees,Copy !req
95. see if someone can give us a
description of whoever sent it.Copy !req
96. Okay, I'm gonna be there in 15 minutes.Copy !req
97. - Some new horrifying event you're not allowed to tell me about?
- Yeah.Copy !req
98. Okay, now it's gonna be 14.Copy !req
99. Excuse me, agent Dunham?
Oh, hey.Copy !req
100. Get the bishops. I need you to
meet me at children's hospital.Copy !req
101. Actually, I just had an
old case reopened, and I—Copy !req
102. It can wait.Copy !req
103. After the boy was found, construction
crews performed a search of the tunnels.Copy !req
104. It was determined they'd been
sealed shut for at least 70 years.Copy !req
105. The place was a sarcophagus.Copy !req
106. The only living things down
there were rats, insects...Copy !req
107. and him.Copy !req
108. And we have no idea
how he got down there?Copy !req
109. He's so pale.Copy !req
110. He seems to be developing
some sort of pigmentation.Copy !req
111. Well, he probably hasn't
seen sunlight in years.Copy !req
112. Does he have a name?Copy !req
113. He hasn't spoken a
word since he was found.Copy !req
114. - Dr. Bishop, any thoughts?
- Perhaps.Copy !req
115. First, I need a piece
of special equipment.Copy !req
116. My turntable.Copy !req
117. Is that some kind of lab equipment?Copy !req
118. No, a turntable. Record player.Copy !req
119. You enjoy music, don't you, mr. Broyles?Copy !req
120. Well, imagine the agony of having
an extensive record collection,Copy !req
121. and having no means to play it.Copy !req
122. The agony.Copy !req
123. I'll have someone get right on that.Copy !req
124. This is Dr. Winnik. Chief of pediatrics.Copy !req
125. Look, I understand your agency's
taken an interest in this child,Copy !req
126. but he's been through quite a trauma.Copy !req
127. Is he sick?Copy !req
128. Not as far as we can tell, but
he's having difficulty breathing.Copy !req
129. - We need to administer oxygen.
- No, don't. No no no. I wouldn't do that.Copy !req
130. You said the tunnel was
sealed, is that correct?Copy !req
131. Well, then it's obvious that the child was
trapped in a low-oxygen environment for so longCopy !req
132. that his body adapted to it.Copy !req
133. And that is why he's
having trouble breathing.Copy !req
134. I don't think so.Copy !req
135. Unless you have an iq higher than mine,
I'm not interested in what you think.Copy !req
136. Administering additional oxygen
at this stage would simplyCopy !req
137. cause his lungs to fill with
fluid and drown him where he lies.Copy !req
138. We need to deprive him of oxygen.Copy !req
139. Get him a nasal cannula and a
tank with low oxygen content.Copy !req
140. Perhaps 5% to start.Copy !req
141. A griffin.Copy !req
142. Excuse me?Copy !req
143. Your tattoo.Copy !req
144. The body of a lion and
the head of an eagle.Copy !req
145. That's a griffin, right?Copy !req
146. Just picked it outta the sample book.Copy !req
147. Thought it looked cool.Copy !req
148. Oh, well. A nice choice.Copy !req
149. Did it hurt much?Copy !req
150. I always imagined getting a
tattoo would hurt real bad.Copy !req
151. It's a good pain.Copy !req
152. - I'm sorry, I didn't mean to
embarrass you or any— - You didn't.Copy !req
153. Do you need a hand?Copy !req
154. Uh, thanks, I got it.Copy !req
155. Um, actually, you know,
a little help would great.Copy !req
156. Cool motorcycle. What make?Copy !req
157. '67 harley shovelhead. She's a beauty.Copy !req
158. Yeah, she is.Copy !req
159. Any minute, now.Copy !req
160. It worked.Copy !req
161. You'll want to increase the oxygen flow
by 10% every hour 'til he acclimates.Copy !req
162. So you said that he hasn't talked.Copy !req
163. How do we know he can hear?Copy !req
164. He responds to sound.Copy !req
165. And we examined his timpanic
membrane; there's no physical damage.Copy !req
166. In fact, considering how he was
found, he seems fairly healthy.Copy !req
167. His heart sounds fine, his
blood pressure's strong.Copy !req
168. And how do we think he survived
down there? I mean, what did he eat?Copy !req
169. Rats. I'd think. Moss insects.Copy !req
170. High in protein. Tastier than you
may think, especially millipedes.Copy !req
171. Although they all lack certain minerals
which may account for his follicular dilemma.Copy !req
172. His baldness.Copy !req
173. Have you performed a urinalysis?Copy !req
174. We haven't been able to. We've
been feeding him intravenously.Copy !req
175. He hasn't relieved
himself since he arrived.Copy !req
176. Can't say I blame him for
not wanting to try this.Copy !req
177. This looks worse than the dreadful
food they served at st. Clare'S.Copy !req
178. You were on staff at st. Clare's asylum?Copy !req
179. No, no, no, not a medical
doctor. I was a patient.Copy !req
180. Got such a sense of humor, huh?Copy !req
181. Walter, what do ya say we keep those
old st. Clare's stories to ourself, yeah?Copy !req
182. Hello.Copy !req
183. My name's olivia. What's yours?Copy !req
184. It's my phone.Copy !req
185. It's charlie.Copy !req
186. Hi. I'm, uh, still in the hospital.Copy !req
187. You won't remember this, peter, but
you didn't talk much either, as a child.Copy !req
188. Could you get me the address?Copy !req
189. - What's it say?
- Sam gilmore.Copy !req
190. He can write?Copy !req
191. Is that your name?Copy !req
192. I'll see what we have on any
sam gilmores in massachusetts.Copy !req
193. The body was found just after 6:00 pm.Copy !req
194. This part of the park's usually
empty this time of the year.Copy !req
195. Couple of kids were using it as
a shortcut when they found her.Copy !req
196. Definitely the work of the artist.Copy !req
197. He clearly made alterations
to the body post mortem,Copy !req
198. and put her out here for
the whole world to see.Copy !req
199. Here's what we have so
far. She's a local girl.Copy !req
200. A process server from weston.Copy !req
201. Next of kin is being notified
by local agents as we speak.Copy !req
202. Samantha gilmore.Copy !req
203. Wait, did you say sam gilmore?Copy !req
204. Yeah. Samantha gilmore. You know her?Copy !req
205. Our perp's name is the artist.Copy !req
206. Now, some of you here may recal that we had
our first encounter with him three years ago.Copy !req
207. He killed four women in lower jamaica
plain over a period of two days.Copy !req
208. After the fourth murder he stopped.Copy !req
209. - Are you holding for dr. Winnik?
- Uh, yes.Copy !req
210. Samantha gilmore, age 24.Copy !req
211. Now, the killing bears all
of the artist's trademarks.Copy !req
212. His M.O.Is to kidnap,
sedate, and kill his victims.Copy !req
213. Then after he kills them, using
surgical tools and chemicals,Copy !req
214. he, in his mind,
enhances their appearance.Copy !req
215. In this case he bleached her skin, removed
multiple piercings, and dyed her hair.Copy !req
216. It was preceded with a faxed
invitation to view new workCopy !req
217. - that was to be displayed somewhere in public.
- Anything yet?Copy !req
218. No. That was the hospital.
They're giving the boy an mri.Copy !req
219. When he's done I'm gonna
go in and talk to him again.Copy !req
220. In the meantime I've sent his picture
to samantha gilmore's friends and family,Copy !req
221. but, so far, no one recognizes him.Copy !req
222. You didn't really expect
that they would, did you?Copy !req
223. No.Copy !req
224. So let me ask you the
obvious. What's the connection?Copy !req
225. Amala and kamala, the wolf
girls of india. And—and, ah...Copy !req
226. marie-gelique memmie leblanc,
the wild girl of champagne.Copy !req
227. They're all feral children who— who grew
up completely isolated from human contact,Copy !req
228. surviving, like our boy,
uh, for many years alone.Copy !req
229. Yeah, but I'm guessing none of
them could write upside-down.Copy !req
230. You're saying that the
boy grew up down there.Copy !req
231. Well, based on the blood work, yes.Copy !req
232. I'm fairly certain that the
lack of vitamin d, for one,Copy !req
233. but also the complete
absence of lactobacillus—Copy !req
234. Microorganisms that help us
digest. They're everywhere.Copy !req
235. Precisely. If the boy had spent
any time above the ground,Copy !req
236. then he certainly would
have absorbed those.Copy !req
237. But that still doesn't explain how
he got there in the first place.Copy !req
238. You said that the place had
been sealed off for decades.Copy !req
239. The boy couldn't be more than ten.Copy !req
240. Well, he certainly looks that.Copy !req
241. You believe he might be older.Copy !req
242. Well, given the environmental
conditions— the lack of oxygen and light—Copy !req
243. and their impact on his biological
development, he could be significantly older.Copy !req
244. But none of that explains
how he knew samantha gilmore.Copy !req
245. No. That I can't explain.Copy !req
246. But good news, mr. Broyles.Copy !req
247. I have located my turntatable.Copy !req
248. So I don't need you to
purchase me one after all.Copy !req
249. It was under the sink in the john.Copy !req
250. So obvious.I was sitting
on the toilet, and I-Copy !req
251. - Walte I think that's probably enough information.
- Agent dunham.Copy !req
252. We just got another one.Copy !req
253. The artist is going
after another victim.Copy !req
254. - That's a beautiful dog.
- Thank you.Copy !req
255. - Is he friendly?
- Of course.Copy !req
256. His name's mack.Copy !req
257. Hey, mack. Hey, mackie.Copy !req
258. They, uh...Copy !req
259. they told me that you haven't
eaten anything solid yet.Copy !req
260. So I, uh...Copy !req
261. I thought that you might like
these more than the mystery meat.Copy !req
262. When I was a kid, I
used to live on these.Copy !req
263. Except the yellow.Copy !req
264. Something about the color.Copy !req
265. Reminded me of medicine.Copy !req
266. You wanna try one?Copy !req
267. That's it. Good.Copy !req
268. Thank you.Copy !req
269. Yesterday you wrote down
a name for me. Remember?Copy !req
270. I thought today you
could give me your name.Copy !req
271. You have a real way with him.Copy !req
272. Elliot michaels. Department
of social services.Copy !req
273. Uh, olivia dunham, fbi.Copy !req
274. Um, you mind if I borrow
miss dunham for a few minutes?Copy !req
275. I promise I'll bring her right back.Copy !req
276. I'll be just outside.Copy !req
277. Dr. Winnik brought me up to speed
about your interest in the boy's case.Copy !req
278. The circumstances by which he
was found attracted our interest.Copy !req
279. It's bizarre, huh?Copy !req
280. Have you been able to find
out anything more about him?Copy !req
281. You know, first name, where he's from...Copy !req
282. Uh, no. I'm afraid not yet.Copy !req
283. Well, I'm not gonna get in your way.Copy !req
284. I just thought I'd stop by and see
him before I g the ball rolling.Copy !req
285. - How so?
- How so?Copy !req
286. Uh, well, you know— physically, it— it doesn't
seem as if there's anything really wrong with him,Copy !req
287. - so I've arranged to have him moved.
- Moved?Copy !req
288. To a facility that can
provide the treatment he needs.Copy !req
289. - When?
- Tomorrow. You know, I hope.Copy !req
290. Assuming all the paperwork is in order.Copy !req
291. - What's wrong?
- Uh, I'm not sure.Copy !req
292. His bp and his heart rate are spiking.Copy !req
293. It's okay, it's okay.Copy !req
294. It's okay.Copy !req
295. It's gonna be okakay.Copy !req
296. I-I think we're okay.Copy !req
297. You okay, there?Copy !req
298. Maybe if you just, uh, gave us a moment.Copy !req
299. - Of course. Just take your time.
- Thank you.Copy !req
300. I'm at the hospital.Copy !req
301. I think we may have found another one.Copy !req
302. I should let you get some rest.Copy !req
303. Anything so far?Copy !req
304. I just got here five seconds ago.Copy !req
305. So what's the plan?Copy !req
306. Start knocking on doors?Copy !req
307. Unless you can think of a better idea.Copy !req
308. All right. You go east, I take west.Copy !req
309. - Good.
- You are very good.Copy !req
310. Mind some company?Copy !req
311. Of course not.Copy !req
312. Did I miss you last night,
or did you not even come home?Copy !req
313. Uh, no. You didn't miss me.Copy !req
314. Have you eaten anything?Copy !req
315. Uh, m&ms.Copy !req
316. Liv... do you like it? Your job?Copy !req
317. Yeah. Most days.Copy !req
318. Today, not so much.Copy !req
319. I followed a lead that didn't pan out.Copy !req
320. What about you? Why are you up?Copy !req
321. I'm sorry.Copy !req
322. - Hello.
- We found our second victim.Copy !req
323. It's kate harper.Copy !req
324. Where?Copy !req
325. She's right outside st. Catherine'S.Copy !req
326. Surrounded by candles.Copy !req
327. Good news is we might have
finally caught a break.Copy !req
328. E.R.T. Said they found some
blood underneath her nails.Copy !req
329. - So they're running it.
- Okay. I'll be right in.Copy !req
330. Just one more thing, liv.Copy !req
331. The address the boy gave us.Copy !req
332. Little while after we left, a
neighbor found a dog tied to a fence.Copy !req
333. It was whimpering.Copy !req
334. It was the victim's dog.Copy !req
335. We were there.Copy !req
336. There's no way we could've known, liv.Copy !req
337. But he was trying to tell us, and
he was right, and we were there?Copy !req
338. WalteR. Olivia's here.
She needs to talk to ya.Copy !req
339. Walter.Copy !req
340. Could she come back later?
I'm about to step in the bath.Copy !req
341. No, she can't come back later.
It's the middle of the night.Copy !req
342. Shneeds to talk to you right now.Copy !req
343. Honestly, peter, can't a
man get a— agent dunham.Copy !req
344. Peter, why didn't you tell
me agent dunham was here?Copy !req
345. I'm pretty sure I did.Copy !req
346. Well, what can I do for you?Copy !req
347. Walter, it turns out the boy was right.Copy !req
348. He gave me a clue, but I didn't
know what I was looking for.Copy !req
349. So do you have any thoughts at all?Copy !req
350. Any idea how I can reach him
or how he's doing any of this?Copy !req
351. I-I believe I know how he's doing it.Copy !req
352. Since he's been living
underground for so long,Copy !req
353. his hypersensitivity
to light and sound—Copy !req
354. it's just possible he may also
be sensitive to people's emotions.Copy !req
355. A raw nerve.Copy !req
356. Able to intuit the feelings
and intentions of others.Copy !req
357. Your killer, for one.Copy !req
358. So are you saying that he's psychic?Copy !req
359. No, no. More a shark.Copy !req
360. A shark?Copy !req
361. Specifically, their
electromagnetic field,Copy !req
362. which allows them to detect their prey's
bioelectric field from a distance of many miles.Copy !req
363. We humans have it too,
of course. Pheromones.Copy !req
364. Undetectable chemicals that nonetheless
affect our behavior, our sex drive—Copy !req
365. Hey, speaking of sex drive.Copy !req
366. Oh, peter, don't be such a prude.Copy !req
367. I'm sure agent dunham knows
what a penis looks like.Copy !req
368. Don't you, agent dunham?Copy !req
369. My father, ladies and gentlemen.Copy !req
370. But how would he know
things that I don't?Copy !req
371. Know about the killer or
victims that he's never even met?Copy !req
372. My dear, there is much
that is unexplained.Copy !req
373. Until it is.Copy !req
374. In short, he has no idea.Copy !req
375. Even if you're right, and he can sense
the killer, he can't tell me that.Copy !req
376. Not in a way that I could
do anything about it.Copy !req
377. Well, if that's the problem,
then there's no problem.Copy !req
378. What does that mean?Copy !req
379. Well, the boy is obviously
thinking, yes? Having thoughts.Copy !req
380. We just haven't beenble to hear them.Copy !req
381. And I'm sure you can do that, can't you?Copy !req
382. Hear his thoughts.Copy !req
383. Perhaps I can.Copy !req
384. Did you make this?Copy !req
385. Listen, I wanna take you
away from here for a while.Copy !req
386. Is that okay?Copy !req
387. Vintage bugs bunny.Copy !req
388. Didn't get any better than this, right?Copy !req
389. I found it!Copy !req
390. Neural stimulator.Copy !req
391. Is there anything it can't do?Copy !req
392. Walter, is that what you're gonna
use to read the boy's thoughts?Copy !req
393. Not to read them, my dear.Copy !req
394. To listen to them.Copy !req
395. I wish you would have told us that
that's what you were gonna use.Copy !req
396. - Why?
- 'Cause you coulda saved us the hassle.Copy !req
397. You're not putting that medieval
torture device on that poor kid.Copy !req
398. Walter, the last time you used that
thing, you drilled it to the guy's head.Copy !req
399. If you think he'll
find it disagreeable...Copy !req
400. - I suppose it could be modified.
- Really?Copy !req
401. You didn't think to mention
that to the last guy?Copy !req
402. It shouldn't be too much trouble.Copy !req
403. We merely need to intercept the neural responses
from the speech centers of the boy's brain,Copy !req
404. which can be achieved by placing
electrodes in the halo ring.Copy !req
405. After that, it's simply a matter
of synthesizing the impulses.Copy !req
406. Think of it as creating
artificial vocal cords.Copy !req
407. Simple. Like makin' an omelet.Copy !req
408. Actually, son, a good
omelet is far more complex.Copy !req
409. We'll have him talking in no time.Copy !req
410. Where's the child thatas in this room?Copy !req
411. - He was discharged.
- By whom?Copy !req
412. Just remember that you don't have to
do anything that you don't wanna do.Copy !req
413. If for a second you're scared, or
you don't like what's happening,Copy !req
414. you just squeeze my
hand like that. Okay?Copy !req
415. Is he ready?Copy !req
416. As ready as he'll ever be. I guess.Copy !req
417. I've seen that look before.Copy !req
418. Usually right before somebody throws up.Copy !req
419. Agent farnsworth, ready?Copy !req
420. Walter, what're you doing?Copy !req
421. Watch and learn, son.Copy !req
422. - Nicely done, walter.
- Thank you.Copy !req
423. You can turn the music
off now, agent farnsworth.Copy !req
424. What's wrong?Copy !req
425. What's going on in here?Copy !req
426. Did you really think you could just
steal a child out of protective custodyCopy !req
427. and that somehow no one would notice?Copy !req
428. Look, first of all, I didn't steal him.Copy !req
429. The child's assisting us in an
active criminal investigation.Copy !req
430. Assisting you how?Copy !req
431. No offense, mr. Michaels, but
that's classified information.Copy !req
432. The department of social services
doesn't have clearance to know that.Copy !req
433. - What?
- Mr. Michaels isn't social services.Copy !req
434. He's with the cia's directorate
of science and technology.Copy !req
435. I'd ve told you earlier myself, but
you don't have clearance to know that.Copy !req
436. This morning we were informed the D.
S.N.T. Will be taking full custody of the child.Copy !req
437. So they can what? Study him?Copy !req
438. This child was apparently able
to survive for years, underground,Copy !req
439. in an oxygen-deprived
environment with no food or water.Copy !req
440. Surely you could see how someone who doesn't have his
best interests at heart might want to exploit that.Copy !req
441. Oh, so you wanna take him
to protect him, is that it?Copy !req
442. Forgive me for sounding harsh,
but I don't buy that for a second.Copy !req
443. Dunham. It's all right.Copy !req
444. To be honest, it really doesn't make any difference
what you think— the boy's coming with me.Copy !req
445. I'm afraid this is above both of us.Copy !req
446. Agent francis just called.Copy !req
447. He said we got another
invitation from the artist.Copy !req
448. Mr. Michaels, suppose
you give us one day.Copy !req
449. A day?Copy !req
450. He could help us catch a
murderer and save a life.Copy !req
451. The boy would be under my protection.
I'll personally guarantee his safety.Copy !req
452. If I agree to this, then you'll turn
the boy over to me without a fight?Copy !req
453. Do we have an agreement?Copy !req
454. We do.Copy !req
455. My very educated mother
just served us nine pies.Copy !req
456. No. That's the planets of the
solar system— or at least was.Copy !req
457. You wanna take a look at
this? His name is roadblock.Copy !req
458. He's not really one of your top-tier
G.I. Joes, but it is the best we had.Copy !req
459. It's funny, I always remember the scar
being on the other side. You want him?Copy !req
460. Cannot build phallic puzzles in the lab.Copy !req
461. - What is he doing?
- Mnemonics.Copy !req
462. You know, like a rhyme
or phrase to help memory.Copy !req
463. Like, uh, "home" stands for
the great lakes. That's huron—Copy !req
464. I'm familiar with it. Why is he doinit?Copy !req
465. Well, he is trying to remember which wires
go into which connections on the machine.Copy !req
466. Yeah, thanks, charlie.
I will. Keep me posted.Copy !req
467. More bad news?Copy !req
468. We got the forensics report.Copy !req
469. We were hoping that the blood we found under the
second victim's fingernails was a match for the killer.Copy !req
470. But no?Copy !req
471. Not unless gene is the killer.
It wasn't human, it was bovine.Copy !req
472. You said cow blood?Copy !req
473. Yeah, and some plastic polymers.Copy !req
474. How would someone get cow's
blood on their fingers in boston?Copy !req
475. Astrid, could you contact
the bureau of animal health?Copy !req
476. We should start pulling
livestock licenses around boston.Copy !req
477. Petting farms, research
facilities, anything.Copy !req
478. - Yeah. Gotcha.
- She's a bad mamma jamma!Copy !req
479. Pha, beta, beta and gamma—
she's a bad mamma jamma.Copy !req
480. Signal amplification, bifurcation,
modulation, juxtaposition.Copy !req
481. You hanging in there, kiddo?Copy !req
482. - Yeah, me too.
- Peter, get me the red wires.Copy !req
483. - Peter.
- Here's a thought.Copy !req
484. A couple years ago, I was working down in tennessee
as a floor sweeper at a meat packing plant.Copy !req
485. - Sounds awesome.
- You have no idea.Copy !req
486. My point is we had these big
rolls of industrial-grade plasticCopy !req
487. that we used to wrap their cuts of meat in
before we would send them to the grocery stores.Copy !req
488. Cow's blood in plastic.Copy !req
489. Yeah.Copy !req
490. Okay. I believe we're ready.Copy !req
491. - Peter.
- Yeah.Copy !req
492. Yes. Listen to that.Copy !req
493. Listen to what, walter?
That's just random noise.Copy !req
494. No, that's just the computer
calibrating the signal to noise ratio.Copy !req
495. Adjust the attenuation
setting to 70 decibels.Copy !req
496. Okay, that sounds a
little more like a voice.Copy !req
497. Yes, now, the sound pressure level.Copy !req
498. Eh, dial the audio meter to 1,500 hertz.Copy !req
499. Slower, damn it, go slower.Copy !req
500. - Okay, if you wanna do this yourself, feel free.
- No, there.Copy !req
501. Quickly, get me a tape recorder.Copy !req
502. Walter, turn the machine off
right now. Turn it off now.Copy !req
503. He's freezing. Help
me get this off of him.Copy !req
504. Y, astrid, can you grab us a blanket?Copy !req
505. - All right, free in the front.
- Here.Copy !req
506. All right, we're gonna
get you warmed up.Copy !req
507. Doesn't make any sense.Copy !req
508. If anything, brain activity
should generate heat.Copy !req
509. We're trying to track down a
suspect in a murder investigation.Copy !req
510. What, you mean the guy on the
news... who killed those girls?Copy !req
511. We're not sure. Maybe.Copy !req
512. But any past or present
employees that stick out to you?Copy !req
513. Like antisocial behavior or a history
of violent incidences here at work?Copy !req
514. No. They're good men. Hard workers.Copy !req
515. I'm gonna need a copy of your
employee records, regardless.Copy !req
516. Okay.Copy !req
517. And also a sample of
your shipping plastic.Copy !req
518. Plastic? Why?Copy !req
519. It could be an element
in our investigation.Copy !req
520. - Will that be a problem?
- No, but...Copy !req
521. Mr. Wu?Copy !req
522. A man came in here yesterday,
and I—I sold him some plastic.Copy !req
523. Allow me.Copy !req
524. Oh, thank you.Copy !req
525. Your mother raised you well.Copy !req
526. Hey, peter, it's me. I'm just leaving.Copy !req
527. So, how's the boy? Has
walter made any progress?Copy !req
528. Hard to say; we heard something, but I
don't know if it was the kid trying to talk.Copy !req
529. Look, I don'want you to get upset
about this because he is fine,Copy !req
530. but something kinda weird did happen.Copy !req
531. Weird how?Copy !req
532. Well, he started shivering
all of the sudden.Copy !req
533. Like, the temperature dropped
30 degrees, except it didn't.Copy !req
534. Is he sick?Copy !req
535. No, he seems fine. We got him wrapped
up in a blanket. He's doing okay.Copy !req
536. How 'bout you? You find anything?Copy !req
537. Yeah, looks like the artist bought some
plastic from a slaughterhouse in roxbury.Copy !req
538. I got his sketch, all thanks to you.Copy !req
539. Hey, guys. We got good news.Copy !req
540. What's that?Copy !req
541. Turns out the plastic did
come from a meat packing plant.Copy !req
542. Olivia got a sketch of the guy.Copy !req
543. What about you? You gonna go back
to the fbi, or you coming here?Copy !req
544. - Ask her if it was refrigerated.
- Hold on a second.Copy !req
545. Peter! Ask her if the
plant was refrigerated.Copy !req
546. It's a meat packing
plant full of raw meat.Copy !req
547. So yeah, let's go out on a limb here
and say that it's probably refrigerated.Copy !req
548. What does that even matter?Copy !req
549. Because that explains everything.Copy !req
550. Walter, slow down. You're
not making any sense.Copy !req
551. Of course I am.Copy !req
552. The boy— our strange,
little friend— is an empath.Copy !req
553. Yes. He senses other people's
emotions. You already said that, walter.Copy !req
554. Go on, walter, what are you saying?Copy !req
555. That he's capable of making
connections— emotional connections.Copy !req
556. Uh, to a construction worker who found
him, the killer, but most importantly,Copy !req
557. he is emotionally bonded
to you, agent dunham.Copy !req
558. That's why he's telling
you about the crimes.Copy !req
559. Because he knows that the
information is important to you.Copy !req
560. He's trying to help you.Copy !req
561. Are you trying to help me?Copy !req
562. That man who's been hurting people is going
to hurt someone else unless I stop him.Copy !req
563. Do you know who he is?Copy !req
564. Can you tell me anything about him?Copy !req
565. Maybe he doesn't know.Copy !req
566. Or he can't control the
ability all the time.Copy !req
567. Perhaps a small electric
shock to kick-start things.Copy !req
568. No.Copy !req
569. It's something different.Copy !req
570. It's like he's mad at me.Copy !req
571. - Because he doesn't wanna leave.
- What?Copy !req
572. Well, you told michaels that once the boy helped
you stop the artist, you'd turn him over to him.Copy !req
573. He heard you.Copy !req
574. Or, more accurately, felt you.Copy !req
575. I'm sorry.I've been so
caught up in what I neededCopy !req
576. that I forgot how strange
this must seem to you.Copy !req
577. And I know how scared you must
be, but I need your help again.Copy !req
578. And I can't even stop
them from taking you.Copy !req
579. Even though I wish I could.Copy !req
580. And if you really can
feel what I'm thinking...Copy !req
581. you know how much I mean that.Copy !req
582. Thank you.Copy !req
583. Nice car, sir. Where ya headed?Copy !req
584. Uh, home. I was out to dinner.Copy !req
585. Open the trunk, please.Copy !req
586. It's clear.Copy !req
587. Okay. Thank you. Sorry
for the inconvenience.Copy !req
588. What's going on, officer?Copy !req
589. What are you doing in
the neighborhood, sir?Copy !req
590. I—just, uh, coming
home from work.Copy !req
591. Haven't had anything to drink.Copy !req
592. Would you mind if I ask what
you— what you're looking for?Copy !req
593. Uh, I'm sorry. We're not allowed to say.Copy !req
594. Sir, we need to check
the back of your vehicle.Copy !req
595. Charlie! Check the back of the van!Copy !req
596. Liv, found the victim.Copy !req
597. She's alive.Copy !req
598. - You okay?
- Yeah.Copy !req
599. Oh, god.Copy !req
600. This is francis.Copy !req
601. I need E.M.S.At the cemetery
behind the 1600 block of york.Copy !req
602. Broyles.Copy !req
603. It's olivia. I need you
to help me with something.Copy !req
604. Here. Here.Copy !req
605. And then we just do
the blood work, okay?Copy !req
606. - Excuse me, dr. Winnik?
- Yes.Copy !req
607. I was wondering if I could
talk to you for a moment.Copy !req
608. Sure.Copy !req
609. I think you'll find
he's doing much better.Copy !req
610. Oh, thank you.Copy !req
611. You remember d winnik.Copy !req
612. She's gonna take you now.Copy !req
613. But not to a facility. She's
gonna take you to a home.Copy !req
614. With a very nice family that
are gonna take care of you.Copy !req
615. And keep you safe.Copy !req
616. We should go now.Copy !req
617. Bye.Copy !req
618. What do you mean he's gone?Copy !req
619. I'm sorry, mr. Michaels.Copy !req
620. Gone where?Copy !req
621. Well, that's what we can't figure out.Copy !req
622. He disappeared from right under
the noses of protective detail.Copy !req
623. How is that possible? He's just a kid.Copy !req
624. Yes.Copy !req
625. A kid who, as you said yourself,
lived his entire life underground,Copy !req
626. which still begs the question how
he got there in the first place.Copy !req
627. I'm beginning to suspect there's a
lot about him we don't understand.Copy !req
628. And apparently we never will.Copy !req
629. - You said it!
- No! I didn't! I didn't say it!Copy !req
630. Yes you did, you cheater! Hi, liv.Copy !req
631. Mommy is so bad at simon says
she won't even do what I say.Copy !req
632. Four years old and
she's drunk with power.Copy !req
633. I have created a monster!Copy !req
634. Do you wanna play with us?Copy !req
635. Oh, don't do that. Let aunt liv rest.Copy !req
636. Sure.Copy !req
637. - I'm simon.
- Okay.Copy !req
638. - Simon says put your hands in the air.
- Okay.Copy !req
639. Touch your noses.Copy !req
640. You lose.Copy !req
641. Okay,again, again.Copy !req
