2. Who?
(GROANING)Copy !req
3. Fargo!Copy !req
4. Freeze!
Police officer!Copy !req
5. Halt!Copy !req
6. That cop, the female,
says you are a suspect.Copy !req
7. Suspect of what?Copy !req
8. For Pearl, the Chief...
even Sam Hess.Copy !req
9. If you want this to go away,
you gotta give 'em someone.Copy !req
10. It's good waffles,
hon.Copy !req
11. It's a mix.Copy !req
12. Who's ready for seconds?Copy !req
13. Gordo?
Yeah.Copy !req
14. Watcha doing there?
Reading a comic.Copy !req
15. It's breakfast time, though.
It's supposed to be family time.Copy !req
16. Yeah, put your
comic away, huh?Copy !req
17. One more page.
That's not...Copy !req
18. It's breakfast, mister,
family time.Copy !req
19. You heard your mother.Copy !req
20. 700 to 1,000
people are without power...Copy !req
21. Your mom needs
help after school.Copy !req
22. Got hockey.Copy !req
23. After hockey, then.Copy !req
24. I'm supposed to
play with Kevin.Copy !req
25. Well, you can play
with Kevin tomorrow.Copy !req
26. It's time you learned
some responsibility.Copy !req
27. Thousands of fish fell from the sky.
Oh, hon, listen to this.Copy !req
28. Meteorologists are saying the incident
was probably caused by a tornado,Copy !req
29. which sucked up water and fish from a
lake and dropped them off miles away.Copy !req
30. And we'll have more on this developing
news story a little later tonight,Copy !req
31. along with our meteorologist's
take on exactly what happened...Copy !req
32. The darndest thing. Come on,
bud, get your boots on.Copy !req
33. You don't wanna be
late for the bus.Copy !req
34. Kiss, kiss.
Kiss, kiss, kiss.Copy !req
35. Crews are out in force this morning,
and will be working around the clockCopy !req
36. to keep roads as clear as possible.
Love you.Copy !req
37. And me?
Dad.Copy !req
38. As cleanup continues
on what reporters are callingCopy !req
39. the storm of the century.Copy !req
40. Plow drivers have been workingCopy !req
41. for 24 hours straight without
rest and feel exhausted.Copy !req
42. We spoke to
one earlier today...Copy !req
43. No funny stuff today.Copy !req
44. So then, Neo's like,
"I'm the One,"Copy !req
45. and Agent
What's-his-name is like...Copy !req
46. "The sound of
inevitability." Yeah.Copy !req
47. And he's got him, right?
Around the neck.Copy !req
48. You're hurting me a little.
Don't be such a baby.Copy !req
49. Guys.Copy !req
50. So they're on the tracks, right?
And the train's coming.Copy !req
51. And Neo says,
"No way." And he...Copy !req
52. Uh...Copy !req
53. So we're in the room
with the stripper, yeah?Copy !req
54. And Blackman wants to know
how much for a blumkin.Copy !req
55. Which, I'm like...
"What the heck is that?"Copy !req
56. Blackman.
(CHUCKLES) Yeah.Copy !req
57. So he says, you know, "Why not
stick around and find out?"Copy !req
58. And I'm like...Copy !req
59. Mr. Nygaard,
your wife is on one.Copy !req
60. Yeah, I'll call her back.Copy !req
61. Oh, no, she said it's urgent.Copy !req
62. Yeah, hon.Copy !req
63. Chaz,
the cops are here.Copy !req
64. Gordo's been arrested
and the cops are here.Copy !req
65. Whoa, whoa, slow down.Copy !req
66. What do you mean the cops are there?
In the house.Copy !req
67. They think that Gordo
brought a gun to school.Copy !req
68. And they're tearing up
the house.Copy !req
69. They say they got
a search warrant.Copy !req
70. (LOWERS VOICE) Don't... Don't let them.
I... I'll be right there.Copy !req
71. Just“ I'll be right there!Copy !req
72. Chaz, what have you done?
I'm coming! I'm on my way!Copy !req
73. Chaz?Copy !req
74. Now...Copy !req
75. Wait, hold on!Copy !req
76. Hold on a minute What?
(INCOHERENT YELLING)Copy !req
77. You son of a bitch!
He's my baby!Copy !req
78. No, I got... I got permits for those.
You son of a bitch!Copy !req
79. Now, Bill Oswalt, hold on...Copy !req
80. Son of a bitch!Copy !req
81. I can explain that. I...Copy !req
82. What have you done?Copy !req
83. (MUFFLED SHOUTING)
What have you done?Copy !req
84. You son of a bitch!Copy !req
85. I hate you.Copy !req
86. Hey. Bill...Copy !req
87. Busy morning, huh?Copy !req
88. ls there...Copy !req
89. some kind of development
with the case?Copy !req
90. Is that why I'm...Copy !req
91. Where's the female deputy?Copy !req
92. She got shot, Lester.Copy !req
93. She got...
In Duluth.Copy !req
94. I should be up there right now,Copy !req
95. but then there's this mess.Copy !req
96. I don't even know
where to start.Copy !req
97. It's like... When you see on the news...
A boat sinks in IndiaCopy !req
98. and 300 people drown.Copy !req
99. And you ask yourself,
"Do I know 300 people?"Copy !req
100. Or one of those African massacres
with 12 year-olds with machetes.Copy !req
101. And they kill,
You can't even...Copy !req
102. you can't even count that high.Copy !req
103. We lost 16 people in 1920 to the flu.
I looked it up.Copy !req
104. In '78, six people died
in a pharmacy fire.Copy !req
105. But nothing like this, ever.Copy !req
106. Three people murdered
in two days,Copy !req
107. including the
Chief of Police...Copy !req
108. Lenny Potts missing...Copy !req
109. and a cop shot. And now a
kid brings a gun to school.Copy !req
110. A kid?Copy !req
111. It was Gordo, Lester.Copy !req
112. Gordo? My Gordo?Copy !req
113. He had a handgun in his backpack.
Unloaded, thank gosh.Copy !req
114. But still, you can't Not
with the current climate.Copy !req
115. Is he in trouble?Copy !req
116. Is he... He brought
a gun to school!Copy !req
117. And still, Gordo's the least of this.
We searched the house.Copy !req
118. And, Lester, I gotta tell ya,
I don't know whether to...Copy !req
119. After all these years,Copy !req
120. I'd like to think that you could've...
come to me.Copy !req
121. You could've trusted me
as a friend with...Copy !req
122. We know you were in the
room when Vern was shot.Copy !req
123. You had a shotgun pellet in
your hand, same as killed Vern.Copy !req
124. Was your wife having an affair?Copy !req
125. With Chaz?Copy !req
126. Mmm-hmm.Copy !req
127. We found a photo...
photos...Copy !req
128. at his place...
suggestive...Copy !req
129. I don't wanna talk about...Copy !req
130. boudoir photos and a pair of...Copy !req
131. Bill...
Yeah. And I know...Copy !req
132. I know how much you loved her.
I remember.Copy !req
133. Ninth grade science class,
Mrs. Nagutuck...Copy !req
134. Pearl walks in the
first day of classCopy !req
135. and sits down
and you look at me...Copy !req
136. "I'm gonna marry
that girl one day."Copy !req
137. But she was always...Copy !req
138. I know this is
out of line, but...Copy !req
139. we all heard the stories.Copy !req
140. But to sleep with your own brother?
I know.Copy !req
141. God! Your own brother!Copy !req
142. And what then? She tells
him it's over and he...Copy !req
143. We all know your
brother had a temper.Copy !req
144. He broke a guy's nose once justCopy !req
145. for cracking wise
at the state fair.Copy !req
146. Yeah! I remember. He had
to do community service.Copy !req
147. So what? She cuts it off,
the affair, and then he...Copy !req
148. All I know is that I
came home from workCopy !req
149. and they were arguing
in the basement.Copy !req
150. I heard the voices.
I thought, "Is that Chaz?"Copy !req
151. And so I went over to the topCopy !req
152. of the stairs to hear,
you know.Copy !req
153. And she says...Copy !req
154. Uh...Copy !req
155. "Love? Is that what you think
this is?" Or something like that.Copy !req
156. And she laughs.Copy !req
157. And then she says,Copy !req
158. "You know, you're not half
the man your brother is."Copy !req
159. Then I hear this sound.
This... (SNAPS)Copy !req
160. I'll never forget it.
So... Um...Copy !req
161. I run downstairs and...Copy !req
162. there's Chaz.
And he's got the hammer...Copy !req
163. And he looks up at me and
says, "Oh, geez, Lester."Copy !req
164. "What did I..."Copy !req
165. I'm upset.Copy !req
166. I try to get to Pearl, you
know, to check if she's...Copy !req
167. And Chaz says to me, "Lester,
this was an accident."Copy !req
168. And I'm... "An accident?"
He hit her with a hammer.Copy !req
169. And... he raises up the hammer again.
He's still looking at me.Copy !req
170. I don't know if
he's gonna... or what.Copy !req
171. So I say, something like,
"Chaz, what the heck..."Copy !req
172. (CLEARS THROAT)
And the doorbell rings.Copy !req
173. Vern?
Mmm-hmm.Copy !req
174. I wanted to say something, Bill.
I swear.Copy !req
175. But Chaz, you know, he's...Copy !req
176. You were afraid? Oh, I was afraid.
(CHUCKLES)Copy !req
177. And Chaz is my only brother.Copy !req
178. So then what happens?
So then we go upstairs...Copy !req
179. and Chaz says,
"Take care of it."Copy !req
180. And he goes in the back.Copy !req
181. Where you kept the shotgun.
Where I kept the shotgun.Copy !req
182. I should have thought about the shotgun.
I know, I know.Copy !req
183. But I... I was in shock.Copy !req
184. So I let Vern in, and right
away, I think to tell him,Copy !req
185. to say what's happened.Copy !req
186. Because Pearl could still
be alive downstairs,Copy !req
187. there might still be time to...Copy !req
188. And then Chaz comes
in with the shotgun.Copy !req
189. I should've stopped him.Copy !req
190. I should've said right away...Copy !req
191. "Chaz is in the
house and he's..."Copy !req
192. But I was afraid,
like you said.Copy !req
193. And now...
And now, it's...Copy !req
194. Bill, if you think that makes
me guilty of something, then...Copy !req
195. Oh, I want you to throw the book at me.
Put me in jail.Copy !req
196. 'Cause I loved her, you know, Pearl.
Despite all...Copy !req
197. She was...Copy !req
198. She was my wife.Copy !req
199. Lester? Lester!Copy !req
200. Lester, what did you do?Copy !req
201. Lester!Copy !req
202. Lester!Copy !req
203. Freeze!
Police officer!Copy !req
204. Halt!Copy !req
205. She's awake.Copy !req
206. Hey-Copy !req
207. What happened?Copy !req
208. Um, you got shot.Copy !req
209. Just go outside now, okay? Why?Copy !req
210. Just do it.Copy !req
211. Did we get him?
Who?Copy !req
212. Malvo.Copy !req
213. I had him and...Copy !req
214. Till this other
fella popped up.Copy !req
215. Um...Copy !req
216. Look now, I gotta
tell you something.Copy !req
217. Do you know what happened
to the fella I shot?Copy !req
218. Is he...Copy !req
219. He's... They got him upstairs...
in Intensive.Copy !req
220. I shot him twice.Copy !req
221. Just like they teach you...Copy !req
222. center mass.Copy !req
223. And him with
a bazooka. (CHUCKLES)Copy !req
224. How the heck did I do that?Copy !req
225. 'Cause you're you.Copy !req
226. Look, here's the...Copy !req
227. (SNIFFLES) Uh...Copy !req
228. I shot you.Copy !req
229. Well, that don't make sense.Copy !req
230. You... you ran off.Copy !req
231. And I couldn't see anything, you know?
I mean...Copy !req
232. not that that's any...Copy !req
233. There's... there's no excuse
for it, for what I did.Copy !req
234. You were out there...Copy !req
235. alone, needing back up and I...Copy !req
236. What'd I lose?Copy !req
237. A spleen.Copy !req
238. Oh...Copy !req
239. I'll get you a new one,
I swear.Copy !req
240. Yeah, you better.Copy !req
241. (SIGHS) There's gonna
be an inquiry.Copy !req
242. I... I was too shook up
at the scene to...Copy !req
243. but... I'll...Copy !req
244. I'll confess.Copy !req
245. They'll probably take my badge,Copy !req
246. but with all that's happened,Copy !req
247. that's likely best.
So...Copy !req
248. Come on now.Copy !req
249. You said yourself it was...Copy !req
250. a blizzard and
whiteout conditions.Copy !req
251. And I...Copy !req
252. I could have shot you
just as easy.Copy !req
253. I... I've just been messing
things up from the go.Copy !req
254. Hey, now.Copy !req
255. That's enough of that.Copy !req
256. You want some pop
or something...Copy !req
257. No, but I want a new spleen,
that's... what I want.Copy !req
258. So... you know... you better
get cracking, mister.Copy !req
259. Dad... who's watching
the restaurant?Copy !req
260. Screw the damn restaurant.Copy !req
261. I guess we both got
bullet holes now, huh?Copy !req
262. You got premium channels?Copy !req
263. I'm not sure.
I just woke up.Copy !req
264. (MAN ON TV) ... this work that
is extremely difficult.Copy !req
265. The bark beetle carries
the worm to its nest.Copy !req
266. He shoots,
he scores!Copy !req
267. Gophers are playing.Copy !req
268. If that's what you wanna watch.Copy !req
269. Ben Schmidt says you put down
a guy with an assault rifle.Copy !req
270. Well, he was pointing it at me.Copy !req
271. Yeah.Copy !req
272. Proud of you.Copy !req
273. Hmm...Copy !req
274. All right.Copy !req
275. Cleaners?
Hi. Yeah, I got...Copy !req
276. How you doin' there then?Copy !req
277. I'm real good now.
How are you?Copy !req
278. You know, can't complain.
Wife's got a bit of a cold,Copy !req
279. but that's life, right?
Sure.Copy !req
280. Well, my house needs...Copy !req
281. It's... I'm not gonna lie.
It's a real mess.Copy !req
282. (LAUGHING) That's our
bread and butter.Copy !req
283. Well, do you fellas
do crime scenes?Copy !req
284. Had a break-in, huh?Copy !req
285. Yeah, it's a little worse
than a break-in.Copy !req
286. A lot of broken glass or...
I'd rather not get...Copy !req
287. Sometimes they
defecate in your...Copy !req
288. Oh, let's just say
there's a lot of blood.Copy !req
289. Hello?Copy !req
290. Good!Copy !req
291. And twist!Copy !req
292. And front!Copy !req
293. And side!Copy !req
294. And two...Copy !req
295. and three and good!Copy !req
296. Left arm.Copy !req
297. And bend... bend...Copy !req
298. bend.Copy !req
299. Good!Copy !req
300. It's one story.
One story...Copy !req
301. So I notice you got a pin on your
map in every state but Georgia.Copy !req
302. What the hell do you got
against Georgia?Copy !req
303. My first wife.Copy !req
304. She was Korean.Copy !req
305. She used to spit at me
when we had sex.Copy !req
306. Can I sit?Copy !req
307. Or... did you wanna
kill me standing?Copy !req
308. Two hombres took
a run at me in Duluth.Copy !req
309. Mexicans?Copy !req
310. That's the wrong part of the
sentence to be focusing on.Copy !req
311. The point is, they
said Fargo sent them.Copy !req
312. So I have two questions.Copy !req
313. First...Copy !req
314. did you tell these boys
where to find me?Copy !req
315. Second“.Copy !req
316. Who do I see
about this in Fargo?Copy !req
317. Look“.
You know I can't...Copy !req
318. Did you put them on me?Copy !req
319. No. Of course not.Copy !req
320. But you gotta understand...Copy !req
321. this is a business
of relationships.Copy !req
322. I can't just...
Of relationships?Copy !req
323. Right.Copy !req
324. And... well...Copy !req
325. it's not my position professionally
to get involved in squabbles.Copy !req
326. Especially not of
a private nature.Copy !req
327. How do you know it's private?Copy !req
328. If people are unhappy with
our services... they call.Copy !req
329. A guy screws up,
arrangements are made...Copy !req
330. a cash settlement.Copy !req
331. If that's not enough, he'd
break a leg or an arm.Copy !req
332. But no calls...Copy !req
333. not about you.Copy !req
334. So whatever it is...Copy !req
335. it's gotta be personal.Copy !req
336. It doesn't matter.
It's the principle.Copy !req
337. This one calls an ambulance.
That one calls a hearse.Copy !req
338. I'm gonna ask you again.Copy !req
339. And depending on the answer...Copy !req
340. I pick up this or that.Copy !req
341. Who do I talk to in Fargo?Copy !req
342. You remember me?Copy !req
343. Um...Copy !req
344. Dead.Copy !req
345. Can...Copy !req
346. Can you talk?
Speak, I mean.Copy !req
347. Right. But you... you read lips?Copy !req
348. Okay-Copy !req
349. Okay-Copy !req
350. You know I'm the one
who shot you, yeah?Copy !req
351. Do you remember me from before?Copy !req
352. In Bemidji?Copy !req
353. The insurance office.Copy !req
354. You were talking to
Lester Nygaard.Copy !req
355. It just hit me, lying in
bed thinking about that...Copy !req
356. what happened, you know.Copy !req
357. Hold the phone, I know that fella.
(CHUCKLES)Copy !req
358. Did you come here
looking for Malvo?Copy !req
359. For...Copy !req
360. Lorne...Copy !req
361. Malvo. Lorne Malvo?Copy !req
362. Did Lester tell you
where to find him?Copy !req
363. It hurts.
Yeah... mine, too.Copy !req
364. You know, it's crazy.
I never shot anyone before.Copy !req
365. I'm gathering this wasn't
your first time, though.Copy !req
366. Look at us.Copy !req
367. And you got a dad somewhere
I bet, just like me.Copy !req
368. And I mean, what's
the point, you know?Copy !req
369. Because here you are and...
your friend is dead.Copy !req
370. And you're gonna spend the
rest of your life in jail.Copy !req
371. And for what?Copy !req
372. Okay-Copy !req
373. Okay, Mr. Nygaard.Copy !req
374. I gotta ask you to stand and
put your back to the bars.Copy !req
375. Listen, Officer,
this is a huge mistake.Copy !req
376. This is a setup.
Sir.Copy !req
377. Do you understand? Evidence
has been planted...Copy !req
378. Sir, turn and back
towards me...Copy !req
379. It's been falsified and if I...Copy !req
380. or I'm gonna have to tase you!Copy !req
381. Could just talk to
my brother...Copy !req
382. This is a nightmare.Copy !req
383. You...Copy !req
384. You gotta believe me.
I didn't do these things.Copy !req
385. Not for me to say, sir.Copy !req
386. Where are you...
Transfer to county.Copy !req
387. You'll be there
until the trial...Copy !req
388. or until you make bail.Copy !req
389. Jeez, Lester.
Oh, hey.Copy !req
390. I heard you got arrested.Copy !req
391. Well, you know how it is.
Had a few too many,Copy !req
392. slept it off at the station.
(CHUCKLES)Copy !req
393. Who can blame you really...
after what you've been through.Copy !req
394. Yeah.
Yeah.Copy !req
395. They were real sweet to me.Copy !req
396. I'm the victim here, you know.Copy !req
397. Of course.
So...Copy !req
398. what's on the agenda for today?Copy !req
399. I'm ready to go...
you know... start fresh.Copy !req
400. I... I can work
late even.Copy !req
401. There's nothing at home
but an empty house. So...Copy !req
402. Right. Well...Copy !req
403. I was just about to
call the widow Hess.Copy !req
404. Yeah, her claim's been denied.Copy !req
405. You don't say.
Yeah.Copy !req
406. It seems Sam stopped paying
the premium. (SCOFFS)Copy !req
407. A shame, really.Copy !req
408. I mean, good for us.
That was a big policy.Copy !req
409. Well, she's not gonna be
happy about that.Copy !req
410. No, she's not.Copy !req
411. Why don't I take that
off your plate?Copy !req
412. Really?Copy !req
413. I mean, I don't know. Are you
sure you're ready for...Copy !req
414. Look, she can't shout at me, right?
Not after...Copy !req
415. I mean, we're in the same boat.Copy !req
416. So I figure I tell her, she has
a good cry, and that's that.Copy !req
417. Otherwise she's gonna
be all claws out.Copy !req
418. That makes sense.
Yeah. Then it's settled.Copy !req
419. I'll head over.
You don't wanna just call?Copy !req
420. No, in person is better,
I think.Copy !req
421. Give her a shoulder, you know?Copy !req
422. Come in.Copy !req
423. I... brought you
some flowers.Copy !req
424. Oh, thanks, just put 'em...Copy !req
425. What are you...Copy !req
426. (SIGHS) on.Copy !req
427. It's making my head hurt.Copy !req
428. This whole case...
all the moving pieces.Copy !req
429. I thought I'd put it up,
you know, graphically...Copy !req
430. see if things made
much more sense.Copy !req
431. I called back to Bemidji to
talk to Bill, but he's...Copy !req
432. I don't know. Some kid brought
a gun to school or something.Copy !req
433. So everyone's kind of
running around.Copy !req
434. And to be honest, everything they
said didn't make much sense anyway.Copy !req
435. Who's the deaf fella then?Copy !req
436. Fella upstairs, tried to
murder me with a bazooka.Copy !req
437. Oh, yeah?
Yeah.Copy !req
438. Turns out he can't hear.Copy !req
439. And the other fella with his throat
cut, I'm guessing he translated.Copy !req
440. And they're who now?Copy !req
441. (SIGHS) Well...
that's the thing.Copy !req
442. All I can think is...
and maybe this is a stretch,Copy !req
443. but heck if I know any other
way to think about it.Copy !req
444. Sam Hess, right?Copy !req
445. So... he owns
a trucking company.Copy !req
446. And we always thought he had maybe
alleged ties to organized crime,Copy !req
447. this operation out of Fargo.Copy !req
448. So... when Hess
gets killed,Copy !req
449. I'm thinking maybe FargoCopy !req
450. sends these two boys to
figure out what happened.Copy !req
451. And how do they end up here?Copy !req
452. Well... follow me.Copy !req
453. If we think...Copy !req
454. which we do...Copy !req
455. that Lester... on the
day of the murder...Copy !req
456. got bullied by Hess...Copy !req
457. and then met Malvo
at the hospital.Copy !req
458. Right... and hired Malvo
to kill Hess.Copy !req
459. Which he did.Copy !req
460. And then...Copy !req
461. these two boys come in from
out of town asking questions.Copy !req
462. Get to finding Lester.Copy !req
463. And he sends 'em here.Copy !req
464. So Lester knew that Malvo was here...
in Duluth.Copy !req
465. It would appear that way, yeah.Copy !req
466. Well, that's...
that's ammunition, right?Copy !req
467. I mean, to go back to Lester.Copy !req
468. Oh, yeah. You betcha.Copy !req
469. Took forever, but I got 'em to
sign off on taking you home.Copy !req
470. Oh, so you're...Copy !req
471. Yeah. Sure that... Recover
at home, you know, it...Copy !req
472. makes sense, sure.Copy !req
473. Thanks, Dad.Copy !req
474. Well, okay.Copy !req
475. I guess I'll see you later.Copy !req
476. Dad, my flowers.
Oh, yeah.Copy !req
477. Thanks for these.Copy !req
478. He bought me flowers.
You don't say.Copy !req
479. Glad you like them.Copy !req
480. I'm gonna put them in water
as soon as I get home.Copy !req
481. You keep your chin up,
Gus Grimly.Copy !req
482. We're winning this thing.Copy !req
483. Don't you forget.Copy !req
484. Say bye to Greta for me.Copy !req
485. So he's got the stick in his mouth, right?
Biting down.Copy !req
486. And I grab the arrow... and Craig
is in the car having a giggle.Copy !req
487. Thinks the whole
thing's hilarious, which...Copy !req
488. That's my cousin
out there, right?Copy !req
489. So I slip the knife
out of me boot.Copy !req
490. Give him the old what for.Copy !req
491. Held the knife to
his bloody face.Copy !req
492. And lunch is over.Copy !req
493. I don't know how they eat
that crap every day.Copy !req
494. Speaking of...Copy !req
495. What? It's fresh.Copy !req
496. Do you know the conditions of a
modern fast food restaurant?Copy !req
497. I'm not just talking
about hygiene.Copy !req
498. Get bent.Copy !req
499. They did an experiment once.Copy !req
500. Scientist took two
glasses of water...Copy !req
501. and he starts cursing at one,Copy !req
502. calling it all kinds of names.Copy !req
503. You're making this up.Copy !req
504. I swear to God.
Mmm-mmm.Copy !req
505. I swear to God.Copy !req
506. He yells at one glass and then whispers
sweet nothings to the other glass.Copy !req
507. Okay? And in one week... MAN
2: Just stop it. Just stop it.Copy !req
508. But, listen,
a week later...Copy !req
509. Can I help you, sir?Copy !req
510. Gun!Copy !req
511. Is that shots?Copy !req
512. Oh, my God! My God!Copy !req
513. Drop it!Copy !req
514. Call 911!Copy !req
515. Where's the top dog?
The what?Copy !req
516. The boss man.
(MAN GRUNTS)Copy !req
517. Third floor.
Private elevator.Copy !req
518. Oh, no! No!Copy !req
519. He's got a gun!Copy !req
520. Freeze, shit bird!Copy !req
521. (GUN CLICKS REPEATEDLY)
Shit! Ah...Copy !req
522. What's the code
for the elevator?Copy !req
523. Nine-thirty-three.Copy !req
524. He's gotta be in there.Copy !req
525. Son of a...Copy !req
526. God damn it!Copy !req
527. MAN 22 Get him!Copy !req
528. Get him! Quick!Copy !req
529. Come on, get back!Copy !req
530. MAN 22 Get him!Copy !req
531. Jesus!Copy !req
532. What the... What?
Was that...Copy !req
533. Call it in.Copy !req
534. Oh. Okay.
Call it in, man.Copy !req
535. Your pop is in the way.Copy !req
536. Where are you...
Hold on.Copy !req
537. Got me all...Copy !req
538. Maybe we should get in the
car and then back up a few feetCopy !req
539. and then pull back in
like we just arrived.Copy !req
540. Can we just
focus on the...Copy !req
541. You need to have fewer ideas.Copy !req
542. Shitballs.Copy !req
543. We're in so much...Copy !req
544. Okay, let me do the talking.
Why? I can do the talking.Copy !req
545. Because when you talk...
Back!Copy !req
546. Bad shit happens.
Get back!Copy !req
547. FBI! We're FBI!
Back! Get back!Copy !req
548. Get back, please.
Police on the scene.Copy !req
549. What have you guys got?
Really?Copy !req
550. No... Well, he doesn't know...
It's a body. Lock it down.Copy !req
551. Multiple gunshots. The
shooter's still inside the building.Copy !req
552. You're gonna need
more patrolmen than this.Copy !req
553. Okay, okay.
Okay, we're good.Copy !req
554. We're going in. Back us up.Copy !req
555. James, you follow us, come on.
Yes, sir.Copy !req
556. It's about time.Copy !req
557. I've been calling.Copy !req
558. Sorry about the delay.Copy !req
559. You know the red tape on these things.
Mmm-mmm.Copy !req
560. Come on in.
Thanks.Copy !req
561. You look real nice today.Copy !req
562. Thanks.Copy !req
563. You're sweet.Copy !req
564. The boys home?
No, thank God.Copy !req
565. They have a game.
Good.Copy !req
566. Good.Copy !req
567. You don't go then, no?
Are you kidding?Copy !req
568. I just stay here trying
to drink enoughCopy !req
569. so I'm numb by
the time they get home.Copy !req
570. Got one of those for me?Copy !req
571. Why, Lester...Copy !req
572. Hmm?
Sure.Copy !req
573. Cheers.
Cheers.Copy !req
574. To fresh beginnings.
Yeah.Copy !req
575. So it's all set, right?
I'm getting paid?Copy !req
576. (INHALES) Um...Copy !req
577. (CLEARS THROAT)
Well, they should.Copy !req
578. What do you mean "should"?Copy !req
579. When do I get the money?Copy !req
580. Like I said, there's a few more
hoops on these homicide cases.Copy !req
581. We're not just talking about
filing a death certificate.Copy !req
582. I don't think I'm telling
you anything you don't knowCopy !req
583. when I say these
insurance companies,Copy !req
584. they don't like writing checks.
(SCOFFS)Copy !req
585. But I'm gonna get it, right?Copy !req
586. Well... that is
where a skilledCopy !req
587. middleman such as
myself comes in.Copy !req
588. You see, it's all about
knowing who to call.Copy !req
589. It's all about knowing which...
palms to grease...Copy !req
590. if you get my meaning.Copy !req
591. I...Copy !req
592. know a little something...Copy !req
593. about greasy palms.Copy !req
594. Well, why don't you
and me have another drink?Copy !req
595. You can show me that.Copy !req
596. Oh, Lester!Copy !req
597. Lester.Copy !req
598. Slow down, tiger.Copy !req
599. You're hurting me.
I'm sorry.Copy !req
600. God. Oh, God. Oh, God.Copy !req
601. Oh, God. Oh, God. Oh, God.Copy !req
602. I should take you home
and put you to bed.Copy !req
603. It'll just be a second.
I promise.Copy !req
604. Hey-Copy !req
605. Oh, my gosh. Are you...
They said you were still...Copy !req
606. Oh, the bullet went
clean through.Copy !req
607. Doc says take
a few days, rest up.Copy !req
608. Otherwise, fine.
Where is everyone?Copy !req
609. Celebrating.Copy !req
610. We got him...
who killed the Chief.Copy !req
611. Lester?Copy !req
612. You arrested Lester?
No.Copy !req
613. Didn't you hear?
It was his brother...Copy !req
614. Chaz... the whole time.Copy !req
615. He was having an affair with the wife.
She broke it off.Copy !req
616. What?
Yeah.Copy !req
617. Beat her with the hammer,
then shot the Chief.Copy !req
618. Lester covered for him.Copy !req
619. Bill thinks 'cause of
Chaz's temper...Copy !req
620. you know...
the fear factor.Copy !req
621. Where...Copy !req
622. That's not...Copy !req
623. I gotta talk to Bill.
Where's Bill?Copy !req
624. Yeah, with the rest...
over at Bernard's.Copy !req
625. I'm supposed to go over
after my shift.Copy !req
626. Okay, I gotta...Copy !req
627. Shouldn't you go home?Copy !req
628. You okay, hon?Copy !req
