2. When I entered the ninth grade at Corleone,

3. even though I was still in a junior high building,

4. it was technically my first year of high school.

5. Some things remained the same...

9. At the end of the eighth grade, every student had to take

10. the Grade 8 Proficiency Assessment test.

11. The G.E.P.A., or GEPA, assesses your progress

12. and addresses any changes you might need in your curriculum.

13. So we're not getting a grade on this?

15. 'cause I technically didn't study.
